Thank you for contacting us regarding this matter. Tickets-Center appreciates the opportunity to...

address Ms. [redacted] concerns.
As Ms. [redacted] stated, the order total was shown prior to checkout. Directly above the order total Ms. [redacted] was presented with an itemized breakdown including the price per ticket, all fees, followed by the order total of $106.95 in bold text prior to entering any payment information.

Ms. [redacted] stated that our manager refused to refund her purchase, to this we would like to provide clarification. As a resale marketplace, Tickets-Center does not own or generate tickets. We merely facilitate transactions between ticket buyers and ticket sellers. Since customers are purchasing tickets from individual resellers, we must ensure that our policies are fair to both parties. As such, when Ms. [redacted] placed her order on 10/28 at 11:15 PM CST the order was immediately confirmed at 11:16 PM and an order confirmation email was delivered to her.

Ms. [redacted] expressed that she believed she was purchasing from the venue or event itself. However, our branding is intentionally different from those of other sites. On the top of every listing page it states, "Tickets not guaranteed to ship immediately. A service fee is added to ticket orders at checkout. This site not affiliated with any venue. Tickets may be above face value." Once Ms. [redacted] selected tickets, on the checkout page below order total she was also presented with the message, "We are an independent resale marketplace. Ticket prices may exceed face value. Prices in USD."

This information was provided to Ms. [redacted] when she contacted us the morning of 10/29. As Ms. [redacted] received her valid and authentic tickets, prior to her event on 11/19, we consider this matter closed. If Ms. [redacted] has any additional concerns, we encourage her to contact a member of our customer service team.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
THE BUSINESS CONTINUES TO REITERATE THE SAME INFORMATION OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN, I UNDERSTAND THE POLICY. I AM ASKING THE COMPANY TO MAKE AN EXCEPTION THIS HAS AND IS CAUSING UNDUE STRESS WHICH IS THE WORST THING FOR MY CONTINUED TREATMENTS FOR [redacted]  I AM ASKING THEM TO REFUND MY MONEY EVEN IF IT MEANS IT IS NOT THEIR POLICY, A MISTAKE WAS MADE, I NOTIFIED THEM IMMEDIATELY, AND I MEAN IMMEDIATELY, WITHIN A FEW MINUTES OF THE ORDER.  I AM SURE THE COMPANY IS CAPABLE OF MAKING AN EXCEPTION.  I HAVE NEVER DEALT WITH ANY BUSINESS WITH THIS KIND OF LACK OF INTEGRITY, COMPASSION, OR UNDERSTANDING.  THIS IS A TERRIBLE TERRIBLE COMPANY.

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/05/14) */
Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. We take the customer experience seriously and would like to take the time to address Ms. [redacted] concerns. We should explain that Ms.[redacted] purchase tickets from an online resale...

marketplace, which means we do not own or generate tickets--instead, we merely facilitate transactions between ticket buyers and ticket sellers. This fact is noted on every ticket and checkout page and at the top of our homepage with the statement: "We display secondary market tickets. This site is independently owned and operated and is not affiliated with any official box office or official website" While Ms.[redacted] claims that she did not realize the nature of our business, these statements show that we are not a venue and are not affiliated with any venue.
When Ms.[redacted] selected tickets and was taken to our checkout page, she was directed to review her itemized order breakdown, which clearly displayed the service and delivery fees, the price per ticket, and the total price in bolded text. Ms.[redacted] was then directed to review our terms and conditions--visible in a text box below this order total--and presented with the bolded message "All sales are final." At this point, she was also presented with the message "I agree to the sales terms and conditions. I have reviewed the Order Summary above," and a check box that she needed to click to continue with checkout. Below this check-box, another message was displayed that, in Ms. [redacted] case, read: "By clicking 'Place Order', your credit card will be charged $242.95, which includes ticket, service, and delivery fees." This notice was followed by a button labeled "Place Order." When Ms.[redacted] clicked this button, she signified her acknowledgement of the total price and these terms, and completed her order.
Our sales policies, including our "all sales are final" policy, are disclosed throughout the purchase process--from a notice on every ticket page to a sales terms statement displayed at checkout with the message "All sales are final. All prices are listed in US Dollars (USD)." Additionally, all sellers on our site are notified as soon as an order for their tickets is placed, which means we are unable to cancel orders. Since that date Ms.[redacted] initiated her complaint, she has been provided a partial refund of her order total to resolve her issues. Ms.[redacted] has accepted this as a definitive resolution, and we consider this matter resolved.

Thank you for reaching out to us. At Tickets-Center, we value our customers and would like to take the time to address our customer’s concerns. It should be noted that Tickets-Center is an online resale marketplace, which means we do not own or generate tickets—instead, we merely facilitate...

transactions between ticket buyers and ticket sellers.Ms. [redacted] has indicated that she was not made aware that she could be paying above value for her tickets, though we would like to provide clarification. Our customer navigated our website and chose to view ticket listings for her event [redacted] with [redacted]. The top of this page stated, “A service fee is added to ticket orders at checkout. This site not affiliated with any venue. Tickets may be above face value.”Once Ms. [redacted] selected the ticket listing she desired for [redacted] with [redacted], she was directed to the checkout page. Here, customers are provided with an order summary that displays the event details, ticket location, and number of tickets the customer has selected. Our customer was prompted to provide an email address and continued to the checkout page. On this checkout page customers are presented with a complete itemized breakdown of their order on the left-hand side. This breakdown detailed the price per ticket, all fees, and the total charge of $438.95 in bold text prior to entering any payment information. Below this total our customers are displayed the message, “Please note: We are an independent resale marketplace. Ticket prices may exceed face value. Prices in USD.” Customers are then presented with our terms and conditions, including a bold message which clarifies, “All sales are final. All prices are listed in US Dollars (USD).” Our customer was then required to select a check box signifying their agreement to these terms. Directly above the "Place Order" button, the order total was reiterated in bold text stating, "By clicking 'Place Order,' your credit card will be charged $438.95 which includes ticket, service, and delivery fees" at which time our customer proceeded to place their order.Due to the nature of our business on the secondary marketplace, Tickets-Center is not affiliated with any artist or venue and do not own inventory; instead, we act as an intermediary between customers and sellers. All prices listed on our site are done so by the individual seller, not Tickets-Center, based on their personal assessments regarding a range of factors including customer demand. Since our customers are purchasing tickets owned and listed by individual resellers, we must ensure that our policies are fair to both parties. This means that we are unable to offer refunds and must adhere to an “all sales are final” policy—a standard throughout the industry. Ms. [redacted] successfully placed her order on 3/26/2017 and received her valid, electronic tickets via email immediately for her to print and bring to her event that is scheduled to take place on 8/22/2017. In addition to this current claim, Ms. [redacted] has filed a dispute with her credit card regarding this transaction. We are unable to provide a resolution to this matter while this dispute remains open due to the nature of the dispute process. We encourage our customer to contact the institution with which the dispute was filed in relation to any questions they may have regarding its process or outcome. As it currently stands, we consider this matter closed.Regards,Tickets-Center

Thank you for reaching out to us, as we at Tickets Center appreciate the opportunity to address a customer’s concerns. On 02/16/2016, Ms. [redacted] purchased tickets to see Janet Jackson on 05/21/16. This event was later postponed by the artist for a later date. It should be noted that Ms. [redacted]...

typically would not be able to receive a refund for a postponed event per the agreed-to policies at checkout. This policy is in place to ensure that the customer can attend the event they originally selected. In some cases, people may want a refund for these postponed events. We consider delays and the likelihood of the rescheduled event in order to be responsive to our customers. As such, we have been able to resolve this matter with Ms. [redacted]. If Ms. [redacted] has any further questions or concerns regarding this or any other order, we welcome her to contact our customer service team. Regards,Tickets Center

ticket sellers. At the top of every ticket listing page it states, “We display secondary market tickets. Not affiliated with any box office or official website.” Reiterated on the checkout page the message, “We are an independent resale marketplace. Ticket prices may exceed face value. Prices in USD. Tickets purchased in a single listing will be seated together, unless otherwise noted by the seller.” Ms. [redacted] expressed difficulty in finding our contact information though this material is readily available on our site through a “Contact Us” link containing an email address and phone number. Our site is user-driven meaning all order details are based off of information the customer either selects or inputs. Any relevant information regarding the type of tickets or seating information is available in the Notes of any ticket listing. Ms. [redacted] order did not have any notation to indicate the tickets she purchased were handicapped accessible seating. In regard to Ms. [redacted] concerns with the ticket price on the primary market, or face value, it should be noted that since we operate as a secondary marketplace that serves as an intermediary between sellers and customers all ticket prices are set by the sellers, not Tickets-Center. This fact is explained clearly throughout the purchase process, from a notice on every ticket listing and reiterated on the checkout page. Prior to Ms. [redacted] purchasing tickets was required to agree to our terms and conditions—visible in a text box below this order total—and presented with the bold message “All sales are final.” At this point, Ms. [redacted] was also presented with the message “I agree to the sales terms and conditions. I have reviewed the Order Summary above,” and a check box that needed to be selected in order to continue with checkout. Because our customers are purchasing tickets owned and listed by individual resellers, we must ensure that our policies are fair to both parties. This means that we are unable to offer refunds and must adhere to an “all sales are final” policy—a standard throughout the industry. Since Ms. [redacted] tickets were not listed as accessible seating, Tickets-Center maintains that her order was filled correctly. Ms. [redacted] received her valid tickets prior to her event, which has since passed. As such, we consider this matter closed. We encourage Ms. [redacted] to contact a member of our customer service department for any additional concerns she may have. Regards, Tickets-Center

between ticket buyers and ticket sellers. Directly on our site it states, “We display secondary market tickets. tickets—instead, we merely facilitate transactions between ticket buyers and ticket sellers.  Though Ms. [redacted] has indicated that he was redirected to our site, we have no affiliation with any venue. Directly on the top of every ticket listing page it states, “A service fee is added to ticket orders at checkout. This site is not affiliated with any venue. Tickets may be above face value.”  Ms. [redacted] then selected the listing which specified, “Section: [redacted] Row: * Email Delivery: 2/3/2017.” Once these tickets were selected, Ms. [redacted] navigated to our checkout page where she was directed to review her itemized order breakdown, which clearly displayed all fees, the price per ticket, and the total price in bold text. Below this, the statement, “Please note: We are an independent resale marketplace. Ticket prices may exceed face value. Priced in USD” was reiterated. Ms. [redacted] was required to agree to our terms and conditions—visible in a text box—and presented with the message in bold “All sales are final.” At this point, Ms. [redacted] was also presented with the message “I agree to the sales terms and conditions. I have reviewed the Order Summary above,” and a check box that needed to be selected in order to continue with checkout. Directly below this the message, “By clicking ‘Place Order,’ your credit card will be charged $358.95 which includes ticket, service, and delivery fees” was presented to Ms. [redacted]. Our sales policies, including our “all sales are final” policy, are disclosed throughout the purchase process and displayed at checkout with the message “All sales are final. All prices are listed in US Dollars (USD).” As noted throughout our site, the price Ms. [redacted] agreed to pay for her [redacted] Circus tickets may be above face value, a common occurrence in the industry. As a secondary marketplace, Tickets-Center does not own tickets; therefore, we do not set the price of the tickets. Instead, the prices of tickets listed on our site are set by individual sellers based on their personal assessments of a range of factors including customer demand. In addition to this, the delivery date is set by the sellers as well. It is often dependent upon the primary issuer of the tickets, with which Tickets-Center has no affiliation. Though Ms. [redacted] was provided the estimated In-Hand Date of 2/3/2017, tickets often become available prior to this date. Since our customers are purchasing tickets owned and listed by individual resellers, we must ensure that our policies are fair to both parties. This means that we are unable to offer refunds and must adhere to an “all sales are final” policy—a standard throughout the industry. As Ms. [redacted] was provided sufficient opportunity to understand the nature of her purchase, we consider this matter closed. This is the first we are hearing from Ms. [redacted] regarding her order; as such, we encourage Ms. [redacted] to contact our customer service should she have any additional concerns. Regards, Tickets-Center

In regards to Ms. [redacted] claims about face value, it should be noted that Tickets Center is an online resale marketplace, which means we do not own or generate tickets—instead, we merely facilitate transactions between ticket buyers and ticket sellers. This fact is noted on the checkout page with the statement: “Please note: We are an independent resale marketplace. Ticket prices may exceed face value. Prices in USD.”Additionally, as a secondary marketplace, Tickets Center is not directly affiliated with any artist or venue and does not generate tickets as a primary box office; rather, we act as an intermediary between fans and ticket holders. The prices of tickets on our site are set by the individual ticket sellers, not Tickets Center, in accordance with their assessments of a range of market factors such as customer demand. This means that ticket prices can fluctuate at any time, and sellers are notified as soon as an order is placed. This practice is disclosed and made transparent throughout our website and the order process. We have been in contact with Ms. [redacted] regarding this issue and have been able to reach an amicable resolution. We hope Ms. [redacted] enjoys her event and we encourage her to reach out to us if she has any additional concerns; as it currently stands, we consider this matter resolved.Regards,

On 10/19 Ms. [redacted] viewed tickets for a Richard Thompson event occurring on 10/29. At the top of this listing page it states, “Tickets not guaranteed to ship immediately. Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. We take the customer experience seriously and would like to take the time to address Mr. [redacted] concerns. We should explain that we are an online resale marketplace, which means we do...

not own or generate tickets--instead, we merely facilitate transactions between ticket buyers and ticket sellers. This fact is noted on every ticket and checkout page and at the top of our homepage with the statement: "We display secondary market tickets. This site is independently owned and operated and is not affiliated with any official box office or official website."
While we understand that Mr. [redacted] believed he was purchasing tickets directly from Ryman Auditorium and Ticketmaster, the above disclaimer and our branding clearly show that we are not affiliated with any venue or other ticket marketplace. And, while Mr. [redacted] contends he was misled about the price per ticket and order total - our checkout process gave him multiple opportunities to examine the full details of his order. Furthermore, we facilitate thousands of successful transactions each day with satisfied customers who are fully aware of their order total and price per ticket, so we are confident in the transparency and fairness of our checkout process.

When Mr. [redacted] selected tickets and was taken to our checkout page, he was directed to review his itemized order breakdown, which clearly displayed the service and delivery fees, the price per ticket, and the total price in bolded text. Mr. [redacted] was then directed to review our terms and conditions--visible in a text box below this order total--and presented with the bolded message "All sales are final." At this point, he was also presented with the message "I agree to the sales terms and conditions. I have reviewed the Order Summary above," and a check box that he needed to click to continue with checkout. Below this check-box, another message was displayed that, in Mr. [redacted] case, read: "By clicking 'Place Order', your credit card will be charged $686.95, which includes ticket, service, and delivery fees." This notice was followed by a button labeled "Place Order." When Mr. [redacted] clicked this button, he signified his acknowledgement of the total price and these terms, and completed his order.
Our sales policies, including our "all sales are final" policy, are disclosed throughout the purchase process--from a notice on every ticket page to a sales terms statement displayed at checkout with the message "All sales are final. All prices are listed in US Dollars (USD)." Additionally, all sellers on our site are notified as soon as an order for their tickets is placed, which means we are unable to cancel orders or offer refunds. While we regret Mr. [redacted] frustration, he was made aware of this fact, and made an educated, conscious decision to purchase tickets from our site. If Mr. [redacted] has any further questions or concerns, we welcome him to contact us.

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2015/07/15) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The entity is incorrect in stating that their site clearly labels anything. It is very misleading that you are paying for a per ticket price until you check out. Further, it is very misleading while tickets are being sold on the valid ticket master site for face value that you somehow end up on this scam site and are tricked into purchasing one ticket for the price you could purchase 4 valid tickets at ticket master.
After being deceived by their trickery, I immediately - within minutes of the transaction being disclosed, called them to complain and seek a refund. After being on hold for almost one hour, I was finally able to talk with a manager and told no refunds, but that I could offer my tickets to them to "resell." I told her I refused to participate in their scam any more than I already had.
To indicate what a scam this company is, all someone needs to do is scroll this site and the internet for complaints. There is even a domain, tickets-center.pissedconsumer.com to lodge complaints against this entity.
I have now notified the Federal Trade Commission, the Attorney General of IL the Attorney General of TN, the Division of Consumer Affairs of TN, the Commerce and Insurance Dept of TN and IL.
I refuse to drop this issue and intend to pursue every legal remedy available to me. If this was a reputable company, they would be concerned with their customer service and address complaints. Instead, every answer is the same - sorry. Buyer Beware if you can - do not allow this company to deceive you.

Ms. [redacted] has stated that she believed she was purchasing through the website of the venue, or of the event itself. However, it should be noted that our web address and branding are intentionally different from those of any other site. Tickets-Center is an online resale marketplace, which means we do not own or generate tickets—instead, we merely facilitate transactions between ticket buyers and ticket sellers. Directly on our website it states, “Tickets not guaranteed to ship immediately. A service fee is added to ticket orders at checkout. This site is not affiliated with any venue. Tickets may be above face value.” Once Ms. [redacted] selected the tickets she was interested in she was directed to review the order summary which again stated, “Please note: We are an independent resale marketplace. Ticket prices may exceed face value. Prices in USD.” She then navigated to the checkout page which reiterated this once more. Ms. [redacted] was required to agree to our terms and conditions—visible in a text box—and presented with the message in bold “All sales are final. All prices are listed in US Dollars (USD).” At this point, Ms. [redacted] was also presented with the message “I agree to the sales terms and conditions. I have reviewed the Order Summary above,” and a check box that needed to be selected in order to continue with checkout. Below this a message in bold was presented to Ms. [redacted] stating, “By clicking 'Place Order,’ your credit card will be charged $306.95” prior to placing her order.

With regard to Ms. [redacted] statement that her tickets differed in price from the primary-market, or "face," value, it should be noted that this is a common occurrence in our industry and notated throughout the checkout process. As the tickets are owned by sellers, the prices are set at the discretion of the individual ticket sellers—not by Tickets-Center—based on their assessments of various market factors such as customer demand. Since customers are purchasing tickets owned and listed by individual resellers, we must ensure that our policies are fair to both parties. This means that we are unable to offer refunds and must adhere to an “all sales are final” policy—a standard throughout the industry.

We have discussed this thoroughly with Mr. and Ms. [redacted] and prior to receiving this complaint we offered Mr. [redacted] a resolution that would be amicable to both parties. However, Mr. [redacted] declined our offer. As such we consider this matter closed and encourage Mr. and Ms. [redacted] to contact our customer service team with any additional concerns.

While we understand that Mr. [redacted] believed he was purchasing tickets directly from the Hippodrome Performing Arts Center, the above disclaimer and our branding clearly show that we are not affiliated with any venue or other ticket marketplace. And, while Mr. [redacted] takes issue with the fact that the prices of his tickets exceeded those advertised by the venue, our sales terms clearly state that prices may be above face value. I am rejecting this response because:We believe the information they provided the Revdex.com is not accurate.  We don’t know if they are valid tickets.  We attempted to post them on a reputable ticket site and they would not accept the electronic tickets.  They indicated they 'could not be read'.  We still do not know the breakdown of the price of the tickets sold as our emailed receipt did not indicate this information, it was just a total amount.  The service fee that they MAY have charged was not made known before the purchase, a total was not given before checkout, seats were not able to be selected by the buyer, and we did not have an opportunity to agree or disagree with the terms of purchase.  Its seems like a glitch in their system jumped directly to our bank account, which we believe is fraudulent.  Reading the online reviews, this “glitch” seems to happen frequently.  We did not know the total amount until we received the above mentioned email and then verifying with our bank the amount that was charged to our account.Sincerely,
Kathi [redacted]
