have requested a replacement Target GiftCard be mailed to the guest for $200.   Our guest will be notified via email once the gift card ships and it should arrive within 3-5 business days of shipment. Due to the high dollar value the GiftCard will be mailed with UPS and will require a signature upon delivery. UPS will attempt to deliver the package up to three times. If the guest isn’t available on the first attempt, UPS will come out two more times. Should the guest not be available on the third attempt the gift card will be returned to Target.   As always, I appreciate the assistance you provide us with our guests. As stated in my previous response, the item wasn’t entirely out of stock which is why it was still on Target.com. Her order was cancelled because the three fulfillment centers, that the order was sent to, were out of stock of the locker storage units.   I have already followed up with the team member that she spoke with who didn’t honor her price match with the confirmation case number. I provided coaching to ensure that this doesn’t happen again.   I have extended my help and can price match her original order after the order is submitted. Once the guest mobilized the GiftCard an access code was automatically assigned; Target.com doesn't have...

access to this code. When a Target GiftCard is mobilized Target.com is no longer responsible for the security of the GiftCard because we don't have access to any of your mobile information as its encrypted.
Target.com considers our GiftCards as cash. Per our GiftCard policy we don't issue refunds on GiftCards. If the guest feels his GiftCard funds were fraudulently used he'll need to contact her local authorities and file a report of theft.

I am disappointed with Target's response and handling of this situation. I would of expected a better response in stopping the fraudulent order when I noticed it on my account, reported it to the local store as well as target.com fraud operations, reported to local law enforcement. Target did not stop the fraudulent order from shipping after I promptly notified multiple levels of target management/ operations. Target also did nothing to facilitate refunding the stolen gift card/ doing anything to prevent this scenario from happening in the future to other customers. In the notes, the Target representative advised me to "contact your local authorities and file a report of theft", indicative they did not even read the complaint which had noted I had already filed a report with the local sheriff's office and provided the report number.

I advised the guest that once the gift card was mobilized an access code was attached. Target.com doesn't have access to this code as it's encrypted on the guest's mobile device. Once it was mobilized Target.com is no longer responsible for the security of the gift cards and that he'll need to file a report of theft with his local police department. I educated guest on the fact that Target and Target.com consider gift cards to be the same as cash and per our policy don't issue refunds on them. We have no further resolution for this guest.

Once an item has been delivered to the store and scanned in as received, an email is automatically sent to our guests letting them know that the item is now available for pickup. That email includes the date by which the items need to be picked up, as well as links to additional pickup options such as extending the time frame an extra 24 hours or adding another person to pick up items on your behalf. If the guest has opted for text reminders, they will also receive text notifications in addition to this email. The window for pickup availability starts as soon as the item is scanned in at our stores and for this reason, the time frame for item availability may differ from the estimated delivery dates listed on the order confirmation summary given during checkout. For this reason, we always encourage our guests to wait to plan their visit until they have received the ‘Ready for Pickup’ email or text from us. Thanks for keeping me updated on the status of this case for [redacted].I understand how confusing this type of financial transaction can be, especially when it centers around a bank dispute and credit.  I have advised him that they will not see a credit like they did with the $218.01 they recently received.  The $383.81 was already credited to their bank account from their bank shortly after they filed the initial dispute.  They will not see an increase in their balance, they need to look at prior months statements or work with their financial institution to see when the following deposit amounts were already credited:  $17.98, $245.03, $19.41, $50, $51.39 which totals $383.81.At this time, due to liability issues, we do not conference with financial institutions.  Our bank card services department has worked with his financial institution and has been assured on two occasions that the $383.81 has already been credited to the guest in previous months by the bank through the dispute process.  The total of the $383.81 and the more recent credit of $218.01 equals the initial disputed amount of $601.82.  There is nothing more I can do for our guest, as he has been refunded in full.As always, I appreciate the assistance you provide us with our guests. Revdex.com:Nancy from target Corp left a voice mail stating she would send a $50 gift card which would be acceptable to me.  My only regret is the amount of time and energy spent on the matter. Perhaps this is what Target  should have offered when I made initial contact with Target  customer care.

I am rejecting this response because: I find it ridiculous how a difference of minutes the stock changed. That’s not my fault. What a way to do business target. If you had already approved it since it was VALID all I needed was to get my info together and place the order the exact same day! Minutes difference. This company does not stand by their word and would rather lose a customer than to make it right and finish the price match they had already honored! Absurd and unprofessional. If I would have know Target was going to be this unprofessional and liars I would of just bought it at toys r us in the first place!!! But since I had your word on it and wanted to use my gift card AT TARGET, look now I am out a really good deal. I just can’t believe this.

unauthorized access to payment card data that may have impacted our guest who shopped in U.S during that period of time. Target understands that protecting our guest’s information is the most important task and is one of our top priorities. We took our responsibility and had offered a one year free credit monitoring with Experian to guests who had shopped at our stores during the data breach incident. This incident only affected our stores and not our online site.Rest assured, Target.com’s security hasn’t been compromised. I’m not sure how [redacted] lost her $30 in Target GiftCard value but I wasn’t able to find any of her information in our system using the information provided on the Revdex.com’s website. [redacted] doesn’t have a Target.com account and/or an order history with us; with that being said, I’m not able to issue a $30 GiftCard per her requests. Furthermore, our stores do have cameras for security purposes and we’ll provide the video privileges to the authorities for investigation if needed.  Target considers this matter closed because there are no other options for this situation.
