The answer is just scripted replyif this item shows up in the next few weeks as "available", and not actually "discontinued" then I was correct from the very beginningthat the site, and inventory system has/had a glitchor bugThis could be confirmed if ANYONE took minutes to call Corporate Buyers or Inventory Management to find outNo one did, or has since this claim has been openedADDITIONALLY - A $Air Conditioner that was purchased has not been delivered due to "backorder" statusWhy have the item available to order then? The site, and service, of this company really needs to improveDon't sell items you don't havedon't waste your customers time and disregard their inquiries when YOUR mistakes cause them time, money and anguish

Our buyers try their hardest to anticipate the popularity of an item and ensure inventory however this item exceeded what they expectedWhen our fulfillment center started processing his order, they had to cancel it because the item became out of stock and Target won't be replenishing itI know that this has been a frustrating experience for him, and this is not the experience that Target wants him to have
The second order that he referenced is an air conditioning unit that also became out of stockSince Target.com is expecting more to become available, the fulfillment center put his order on a backorder status instead of cancelling itWhen the item does become available, his order will finish processing and his item will ship

Target has contact the card issuer, InComm, and confirmed that the gift cards were sent to the guest’s email addressAs previously stated, Target won’t be issuing a refund for the eBay gift cards that were used without his permissionThe only available option is to work with his local law enforcement officeTarget considers this matter closed as there are no other options for his situation

Although I appreciate the timely and seemingly genuine response, I wish they could have done this when I called thier customer service line, or even gave me the explanation of why they couldn't instead of making spend more time persuing this matter. I also do not see why they could not just put the dresser back on my order (I still need one for my nursery and they still offer it on thier website) so that I could get the original deal I was supposed to get. However, I am not willing to waste any more time on this. Thank you for your help

Thanks for contacting us regarding the issues that our guest *** *** had with the delivery of her dining room sets.I was able to speak to the guest the other day regarding this. I understand that she remains frustrated over the amount of time this has cost her. She is also very
disappointed because the table and chairs were ruined on account of being delivered in her driveway while it was raining. I know she needed the table sets for her children who are away at college and I apologize for her overall poor experience.I’ve verified that the order has been picked up and I’ve issued a full refund in advance of our warehouse receiving the order. The refund was processed on 10/13/in the amount of $602.06; she should see the credit back to her Visa within 10-days.At this time, we will not write a letter to FedEx to authorize her to open a claim with them for additional expenses. Thanks for contacting Target on behalf of our guest *** *** and his issue with a delayed delivery date for his futon.I spoke with Mr*** at length on the phone and apologized for his frustration with the delay in the shippingI explained that the missed delivery date is due to an error

She was informed that her request couldn’t be granted since systemically we cannot modify orders during checkoutWhen placing orders on Target.com we don’t have the capability to modify any payment details, until the order is actually placedSince we don’t charge our guests until the item(s) ships, she would’ve only been charged the original amount she expected to pay for her original order.
