Thanks for contacting Target on behalf of our guest [redacted] .I understand that [redacted] wants a refund for the Nintendo 3DS but our team members weren’t able to helpI show that the original order was delivered by UPS Sure Post on 09/01/at 12:PM at the shipping address provided on the order [redacted] called to report that she didn’t receive the item and a team member requested a replacement for the Nintendo 3DS on that same day, 09/01/2016.When a replacement order is requested, the funds from the original order is transferred to the replacement order, this was the reason why Target team members weren’t able to process a refund for [redacted] In order to process a refund for these situations, the replacement order must be cancelled or returned if it has shippedIt looks like the Nintendo 3DS is unavailable online and out of stock in stores, this is why her replacement is on backorderedNormally, we’re not able to cancel a replacement order but since it’s on backordered status, it’s cancellable by our Order Research TeamI’ve requested that the replacement order be cancelledWhen using PayPal to pay for a Target.com order, the refund will be in a form of Target GiftCards [redacted] should receive a refund eGiftCard of $within 4-hours at the email address provided on the order.As always, I appreciate the assistance you provide us with our guestsIf you have further questions, feel free to contact Target.com at ###-###-####
I am rejecting this response because: There was money in the account.It failed because my bank was doing server maintanece.if they (Target) had done what any other retailer would do by letting me know there was a problem and trying the hold again in 24hours this wouldn’t be a problemThey should be giving me back my pre-order because of this

I give upTarget has never addressed the issue that their associate gave me information to persuade me to purchase a phone from him...even through they fired him for giving information to customersthey have repeatedly told me what the correct offers were....got that part....there was no understanding or concern about the experience I hadI don't have any more time to spend on this issueI give up and just will chose to shop at stores that follow more ethical business practices in my viewThank you for your time and assistance with this

attention After reviewing the transactions and the customer’s request, I was only able to locate $for us to replaceWith this information, I’ve requested a replacement for the value of $The GiftCard will be shipped today and will arrive within 3-business daysDue to the high dollar value the GiftCard will be mailed with UPS and will require a signature upon deliveryUPS will attempt to deliver the package up to three timesIf the guest isn’t available on the first attempt, UPS will come out two more timesShould the guest not be available on the third attempt the GiftCard will be returned to Target When our guest contacted our GiftCard department they followed the correct policiesTarget considers GiftCards to be like cash and can only be replaced if there is a remaining balanceTheir GiftCards had been fully redeemed so there was nothing available to replace To ensure that no one is able to access their Target.com account, I recommend that they reset their passwordAlso, it’s a good idea to use unique user names and passwords on each website where they’ve created an account As always, I appreciate the assistance you provide us with our guestsIf you have further questions, feel free to contact Target.com at ###-###-####

I understand our guest was under the impression that her account has been fully charged for an order that was cancelledUpon receiving this complaint I was able to contact
our guest and discuss this matter via phoneOur guest provided a copy of the email she received from her Credit Union as well as a copy of her banking statement
The charge our guest saw on her account was an authorization hold for the order's fundsWhen placing an order on Target.com, an authorization hold is placed to ensure sufficient funds are available for the purchaseIf an order is cancelled, Target removes the hold on the funds and your financial institution will return the funds to your account according to the institution's guidelinesAuthorization hold guidelines are determined by the card-issuing bank or institution, not Target, and vary from bank to bank
After discussing her billing concerns she was informed the charge didn't post to her account
I recognize there are many options on where our guest can shop, and that's why I truly appreciate that you chose to shop with TargetI understand my apologies may not completely eliminate her frustration, but I hope she'll give us another chance and continue shopping with us

I'm sorry to hear that his order for the Apple iPad Air was delivered but he didn't receive the packageTarget strives to ensure that our guests receive their items
within the estimated delivery dates provided
Target shipped his package on 11/29/with FedEx SmartPost tracking number *** and tracking shows that his local post office delivered it at 6:pm on 12/04/If an item shows delivered but the guest doesn't receive it we do ask that the guest check with their neighbor and wait an extra dayDuring the holidays carriers sometimes mark packages delivered a day ahead of time
Target does offer all of our guests the option to add signature upon delivery and *** didn't choose this optionTarget doesn't require signatures on packages as we understand our guests have varying schedules and they choose what works best for them
A replacement iPad was sent to our guest on 12/12/and was delivered by UPS SurePost, ***, on 12/16/at 7:P.M
I realize that this hasn't been the best experience for our guestThe guest service experience he described is in no way acceptable, and I'll personally follow up with the team members he spoke with to provide coaching to ensure this doesn't happen again
Target won't be issuing the $Target GiftCard he requested because Target doesn't compensate for time
