I can imagine how disappointed Ms. [redacted] must feel and I apologize that we’ve let her down.My records show that Ms. [redacted] contacted us about the defective chairs less than two weeks outside of our return policy in the hopes of a refund. Although our team members were upholding Target polices by denying the refund, I feel that Ms. [redacted]’ situation warrants a onetime exception. I see that a previous team member has issued Ms. [redacted] a $50 GiftCard for this experience and I’m happy to say that for our loyal guest, I’ve issued a full refund for both orders less the $50 in the form of a $234.60 GiftCard sent to her email address. At this time, we are not requesting that Ms. [redacted] return the chairs and she may keep, donate or dispose of them as she sees fit.I’m thrilled that we could resolve this issue for Ms. [redacted] and I welcome her to place a new order with us in the near future for the kind of quality and service she deserves to have as a loyal Target guest! As always, I appreciate the assistance you provide us with our guests. order is placed on Target.com, an authorization hold is placed to ensure sufficient funds are available for the purchase. If an order is cancelled, Target removes the hold on the funds and the financial institution will return funds to the account according to the institution’s guidelines.  Authorization hold guidelines are determined by the card-issuing bank or institution, not Target, and vary from bank to bank.  I understand how frustrating it is when orders are cancelled due to stock, and I apologize for the inconvenience. We work hard to provide our guests with extraordinary deals throughout the holiday season, and because of this, items can go quickly.We are unable to provide Ms. [redacted] with the resolution she is requesting, however, for the experience, she has been issued a $50 GiftCard. GiftCard will be shipped today and will arrive within 3-5 business days. Due to the high dollar value the GiftCard will be mailed with UPS and will require a signature upon delivery. UPS will attempt to deliver the package up to three times. If the guest isn’t available on the first attempt, UPS will come out two more times. Should the guest not be available on the third attempt the GiftCard will be returned to Target. As always, I appreciate the assistance you provide us with our guests. his luggage was picked up on 11/24/2017 at 2:34am. I noticed Mr. [redacted] contacted us a second time on 11/25/2017, and asked for help but the order number wasn’t provided in the email. After receiving the order details on 11/26/2017, we quickly started researching his pickup concerns. On 11/28/2017, we contacted our guest to apologize for the system glitch that prompted the pickup email. We provided him with a full refund of $53.34 on 11/28/2017, which brought his purchase amount from $312.58 to $259.24. In addition, we offered to discount his next order by 50% once the luggage becomes available on Target.com. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 11602322, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. I am glad that this was resolved, as again, this is the second time this has happened. Hopefully they will also fix whatever caused it in the first place so that I do not need to return to you ;)

I’m very sorry that [redacted] isn’t happy with my previous response. I’ve had our teams review her refunds and confirmed that she has been issued a full refund. The reason her refund was short $21.20 is because the reason for the return doesn’t qualify for a handling refund. Orders over $50 aren’t charged a shipping fee. I realize this experience has been incredibly disappointing for her, which is why our previous team member did provide a $30 Target eGiftCard. The eGiftCard was sent directly to her email address and it was used in full on 02/05/16 at the Kalamazoo West Target store. Target won’t be providing any additional compensation or GiftCards for her experience. I truly appreciate the time she’s taken to share her concerns, but Target considers this matter closed as she’s been fully refunded.

Nancy, the contact from Target that reached out to me regarding this matter did not understand that the issue was that Target was selling an unsafe product. The issue was not whether Target would refund my purchase or not. I explained this to Nancy multiple times but I could not clearly articulate this to her.

This store is full of crap & its Targets fault that I have no gifts for my child this year & Targets fault that I have no money to repurchase my childs gifts because they cancelled my ordered without telling me & now I still have not received my money back to my PayPal account. also I called PayPal & was told I wouldn't see the money back onto my account until AFTER CHRISTMAS! This store doesn't make any sense 1st you cancelled my ordered illegally & then asked me to buy in the store! That makes no sense what so ever! What's the difference if I shop online or in the store? There's actually NO difference & Target just did these despicable things to me & my child during CHRISTMAS ?? for NO REASON!

In addition, Target reserves the right to prohibit purchases of any merchandise by resellers. A reseller is defined as a company or an individual that purchases goods with the intention of selling them rather than using them.   As an accommodation, we are refunding the purchase amount on order [redacted] to a replacement Target eGiftCard.  Plus an additional $50 was added as a gesture of goodwill. I am rejecting this response because: Target sent me broken headphones. It is their fault and they have always replaced items in the past. I will be putting in a claim to my credit card for fraud by Target at this point. Target policy is to send a replacement and give me 30 days to return the first one. Once an order has been submitted it is immediately released to our fulfillment team for processing, even if the shipping timeframe is delayed. At that point of time, we're unable to make any changes to an order, other than cancelling the entire order, which is only available for a short time after the order was placed. Since our guest contacted us two days after the order was placed, our team members only had the capability to submit a request to cancel the order. I confirmed on 02/03/2016 this request was made, but sadly it wasn't granted.
As a result, the Steam Inhaler was shipped and I understand this caused a huge inconvenience for our guest. I can assure you, it certainly wasn't our intentions to cause any added frustration to the poor service she received. Due to the lack of information provided and her entire order experience, as of 02/15/2016 a full refund has been issued.
She must allow 5-7 days for the refund to post back to her Target Debit Card.

I accept the response only because I was issued a refund...as for the fact where they said they can only refund up to a certain day I Kind of understand but the issue was that we payed for express shipping so it would be there on the second day the reason I called to cancel the second day was because they said it would be delayed OVER A WEEK and it was a MEDICAL supply that my son needed and they told me that it WOULD BE CANCELED as they DID NOT get it to me the day the promised with express shipping
