Hello,   [redacted]’s refund of $29.05 has been issued back to her PayPal account as of today. Her item was part of a promotion at the time of order for $25 off a toy purchase of $100 or more. As [redacted] spent over $100 on toys, her order was discounted 25$, and this discount was split among her 3 items. I have attached a screenshot of the invoice for her return. This will show the breakdown of charges, and that the refund was issued to a Target GiftCard on 2/16/2018. Please know that clearance markdowns can vary from store to store and from stores to our website. It can depend on a number of factors as to when or if a product goes to the next markdown level and in some stores a product may reach the next level before another store. Based on the information you provided, I was able to locate your receipt in our system. Our research shows that when you purchased the Seagate hard drive it was at a clearance price level. That is why the price differed when you saw the price online and when the item was scanned by our stores point of sale system, they were at different clearance levels.   We can offer price adjustments when you purchase an item one week and it goes on sale the next week, however, our price adjustment policy does not include matching clearance prices. There was an initial error with the charges when the promotional GiftCard shipped out but those were corrected.  This is why he saw multiple charges coded as "Share Journal Entry".I couldn't agree more that the way our free promotional GiftCards are sent is confusing and I do apologize for that.  Our system has to assign a value to the card that is shipped to our guests.  It may appear as though they're being charged for the GiftCard, but they'll also notice the qualifying item in their purchase is discounted totaling the promotional value of the GiftCard.  As it stands, the guest was charged the correct amount for his order and their is nothing to be adjusted.As always, I appreciate the assistance you provide us with our guests. I am rejecting this response because: the solution to the problem was acceptable however, I was supposed to get a refund within 5 business days. It has been over 7 business days and I have not seen a refund posted or pending. I have contacted the company via email and phone and received no return phone call. I no longer have possession of any product, and Target still has my money.

receive and processed her refund of $16.06 back to her PayPal account. Since she paid with PayPal, our return system automatically sent the original refund by a Target GiftCard so I deactivated it in order to process the PayPal refund. She can learn more about returns with PayPal here.   Target doesn’t charge for items until they are picked up. Because her Friskies Wet Cat Food was cancelled from her order, she was never charged for it and no refund was needed. Target places an authorization hold on payment methods until items are picked up from the store or shipped to the guest so she was only seeing an authorization hold that was released at the time of cancelation.   I have shared her experience with the leadership team at the Lakeville Target store to provide coaching and ensure that this doesn’t happen again.   As always, I appreciate the assistance you provide us with our guests. Revdex.com:Thank You for the clarification.  I have attached a screenshot of the advertisement on the webpage for review. Please make the terms more clear if this promotion is ran in the future.  From what I have been told by Target the promotion meant "guaranteed $100 trade in value for a working Xbox One".  I think saying that would be much more clear than saying "$100 free gift card when trading in an Xbox one".  Nowhere does the ad state you are giving up the normal trade in value, or that the trade in value would be $0.  It could have also stated "The gift card does not stack with normal trade in value", or "customers may choose the normal trade in value, or the $100 gift card, but not both".  In any case, thank you checking into it and contacting me. The gift card offer is also a nice gesture and I appreciate it.  However, I am still very frustrated with the experience since it involved multiple trips, phone calls, and I erased my Xbox before attempting to trade it in.

Target does not provide any meaningful response at this moment. I did not receive any calls from Target and as I mentioned in the original complaint, I was not able to take phone calls after 12/12 and I provided an email address for communication. I did not receive any emails from target regarding this issue either.

I am rejecting this response because:None of my resolution items were fulfilled dtarting with an apology and an accounting of balance at hand as well as an opportunity to speak with someone.  Target - you continue to prove that your leadership, culture and company are have evolved for the worse... BTW, I am male.... understand gender convictions before replying to emails.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.Target supplied a refund and still decided to ship the item ordered. They have also noted to provide additional training to call center employees on how to handle this issue in the future.
