Purchased a bed and broke in less than a monthCalled store and customer serviceGot the run around and not even an option to exchange
Purchase a bed/mattress totaling with RTG on 9/order#XXXXXXXX and received the delivery on 9/17/10/is when frame broke with model XXXXXXXPCalled customer service and stated issue and said next avail tech will be avail 10/As the week went on my mattress started to bend along with the pegsI called RTG back and said I am not comfortable with the bed being like this and I need to exchange for something more sturdier because I don't want this in the futureI had just spent all this money and I was not happy with how it turned outThis I was not able to have granted, to add I also said I need to have a time in which technician was to be avail and they were not given me a timeI asked to get corporate numberWas on hold because she did not have number and had to look for itSo I hung up called back and spoke to the manager
Wanted to purchase a chair with ottoman and was told the there would be an additional charge of $+to cover shipping When I said that I would pick it up, I was told that I could only pick it at Dunn, NC which is probably over miles away I all my years of purchasing any large item, it has always been 1) go to the store, 2) pay for the item, and lastly determine if you want to pay the store for delivery The Business model for Rooms to Go is 1) come to the store and 2) pay for the item and shipping
Now way down in the fine print their is a statement "No down payment except amount equal to sales tax and delivery" Even as confusing as this statement is, I don't take it to mean that you must pay a delivery charge if you plan to pick it up

Product misrepresentation
First off, let me say I would rather not have to go to the Revdex.com to resolve my issues Unfortunately, this appears to be the only way to get Rooms to Go's attention
I went into RTG and bought chairs; of them identical The first chair arrived and we are happy as a lark with it It looks and feels the way the storeroom chair did Unfortunately, the same cannot be said of the other Those chairs did not feel like the storeroom chair and are not at all comfortable In fact, they are very uncomfortable In a very short while, both my husband and I have back aches from sitting in them They are totally useless
I went back to the store to check out the showroom chair Yes, that chair is comfortable, in fact, it's very nice I explain my dilemma to the store manager and she sends out more chairs The next chairs are just as uncomfortable as the first I go back to the store, sit in the showroom chair again just to reaffirm to mysel

I placed an order with rooms to go in September, they were supposed to deliver the furniture on October 20th and they didn'tThey made me wait until November 20th and again, they came in the morning when they told me they were going to get here in the afternoon, nobody was in the house and they left without delivering my furniture again
I asked for a refund on November 27th, we are December 27th and they still have not reimbursed me for my furniture I have called more than times for all the different issues and NOTHING has being resolvedI was purchasing this furniture so I could rent my roomThey have made me loose a lot of business
