A few things about this businessFirst, we waited the obligatory number of weeks just for the customer exterior shutters and when they arrived they were the wrong sizeThis was not a small mishap eitherWe ordered 1/8" shutters and received 78" inch shuttersSecond, Ken the customers service lead (from what he says) is miserable to deal withThe first time I called he said he'd issue me return paperwork, which I never receivedWhen I called back about the paperwork, I spoke to a woman who was far easier to work with and she said that the company actually didn't need the shutters returned anyway because there was nothing they could do with them (since it's all custom)So instead she would submit the request for a refund to her manager (potentially Ken) and he would send a confirmation to me the next dayAfter a week of hearing nothing AGAIN (no return paperwork or refund confirmation), I called back and got Ken againHe was even less friendly and wouldn't admit to the fact he never sent the paperwork (great customer service attitude) and also treated me as if I was trying to get over when I said that the second person I spoke to actually told me an return wouldn't be necessary (which a lot of companies do by the way by simply requiring you to send proof that you've destroyed the product)He told me in his annoyed voice that he told me I wouldn't get a refund unless I sent the shutters back so I need to send them backMind you if I had actually gotten the return paperwork he was supposed to email me two weeks earlier we wouldn't even have had to talk furtherBy the way, it was not until after we explained to Ken that we didn't have the means to transport and lift 78" shutters to UPS that he agreed to send a UPS person to pick them up from us otherwise the burden would have been on usI placed my original order on June and finally got a refund on August They completely wasted our entire summerNever doing business with them again

I bought a pair of shutter from Exterior Solutions in 2014:
I have an issue with the shutter, they warped overtime, not looking very good
The company offers a year warranty on their product, so I contacted them and sent them pictures to validate my findingsThe company brushed me off telling me that I did something wrong in the installationThe irony is that I never installed them since my project was on holdIt is when I wanted to used them weeks ago that I realized they were deficient

I purchased four shutters from Exterior Solutions to replace interior working shutters All four were the same width, with two one length and two another When I received the shutters all four were narrower than the width ordered--one by 3/inch One was 1/inch and another 3/inch shorter that ordered Two of the shutters were grossly out of square Exterior Solutions refused to do anything to rectify these problems (like do them over correctly) By the time I made shutters square and pairs the same sizes, and adjusted the openings to compensate for the undersize shutters I had invested hours work I expect more in terms of quality and customer service

We do have an extended return policy for Christmas, but it is good from November forward This watch was purchased in early October and we can't take it back at this point I can offer to reimburse 1/of the value in the form of a website credit
Placed an order via their website and paid in full, my order call to $ I was called a few days later to be told that an item I paid $for and needed of them is really $so I need to pay an additional $ Know I do not mind paying for what I am suppose to pay for, but when I ask that this was your company error and that there should be somewhat of a compensation, I was told no and they can cancel my order When I asked to speak to a manager, I was told he told me no discount will be applied and they are cancelling my order, I asked again my I please speak to a manage and he told me he is canceling my order No matter how I pleaded to speak to a manager I was told they are cancelling my order I called back in and ask to speak to a manager and was put on hold for over an hour and still no resolution Owning my own company I would be applaud if we made a mistake and this was the way my employees handled a client Please be aware, so if you are looking for a customer service orientated company this is not it!!!

Sincerely, I have already had someone else make these shutters .when I make a mistake I have to take care o it in a reasonable amount of time .the only thing I need is to return these shutters .when I looked on your website ,it did not give me an option to order different size panels ,your picture looked like they were proportioned to what I needed .when I received them they were no where close .and they did not look like the picture .nowhere did it state that I could custom order them .nor did it give me the option .I do not mind a restocking fee or paying the shipping .thanks and have a blessed day
