All My Sons Moving & Storage Reviews (%countItem)

I used All My Sons Moving in January 2019. Biggest mistake ever. If I could rate them a 0, I would!!
They are the absolute worst company ever. They were not on time. I told them what time I need the appointment. They told me what time they would be there. After 30 minutes of waiting I called the store, the driver called me back and tell me they are at *** and will be there shortly. They then take their time moving my things and trying to explain to me they cannot move my items in under 4 hours. I had no living room set to moved so no couches no sofa no chairs. Both beds and other items were broken down and sitting in the living room. I was originally quoted $***-$*** but once we arrived at the new place which is located 14 mins away my new total was $***. I was told the driver and staff could not remove my items until I submitted full payment. I was provided no receipt. Even when calling the office I was given the runaround and was told it would be emailed to me because they could not print a receipt. This company is HORRIBLE!!! If you know people moving please tell them to research this company!! They lie on their website. On the website it states they are 5 stars and all reviews are in real time but its false. It look at the website at 6am or 7am before they even open they will have 10-12 reviews for everyday. But I'm sure if someone was to go check their books with the amount of clients they do per day and compare names, dates and times I'm sure someone will see those reviews are a lie. I suggest Revdex.com look into this company and do it's research. They are really scamming people. To this day I do not have a receipt but I do have charges on my debt card. I have been told by the manager Jermaine W that it is no way to print a receipt out. Its odd my email worked to confirm times of arrival, to even show my deposit but once over charged nothing.

Great sales people, terrible movers. 95% of every furniture piece they touched arrived damaged. Then they insulted me by offering a check to compensate me for $270.00 basing it off of weight... They can smash your $600 T.V. and only offer you $20.00 because its based on weight and not actual cost. I would never, ever, ever, recommend this company to anyone and warn people to look elsewhere if you want a trustworthy company. I am so glad I rented a U-haul and moved the majority of my expensive items myself like laptops, monitors, speakers, etc.

This is the most unprofessional company. They were scheduled to move me between 10:30-11:30am. They didn?t show up until 2:30 and that was only after I called 8 different times to demand the status of the movers. Not once did they apologize for being late or for my inconvenience. They were defensive and rude. When the movers finally showed up, with attitudes, they said they can only work for 2 hours and if it took any longer, I would be charged more. IF I didn?t pay them upfront, they would keep my stuff! I told them to call the manager. The driver called the manager, didn?t let me speak with him, and then went outside, got in the truck and LEFT. I?m sitting here with my house full of my stuff, scrambling to find other movers. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

Please do not ever use this company! First off, they said they would arrive at 10:30. When they still had not shown up at 12, I was assured by the manager that the driver would call me to let me know how late he would be. Nobody ever called. I had to call back several times to find out what was going on. They finally showed up at 2:30 and they were very rude. They basically told us that they would work for an hour, unless we were willing to pay them significantly more than the original quoted price. If not, they would keep our possessions until they received payment. They were cursing, rolling their eyes, and being incredibly unprofessional. They literally walked out of our house and left! We called the manager who said he ?didn?t want to have this conversation? and hung up on us. We are now left with a house full of furniture and we are rescheduling with another company. They did not even apologize for this massive inconvenience. This place needs to be shut down.

AMS Moving and Storage in Miami has really bad business practices. They have a modus operandi to take advantage and over charge customers. It is fraud
They asked me to confirm and reserve the moving with a $100 deposit. I payed this deposit on Feb 7th and confirmed the moving date.
On the first call, on February 5, they gave me the service conditions and supposedly some of the charges that I might be incurring. However, they purposefully omitted to tell me all the real charges that I needed to consider with their services and that eventually would have to pay them. Two days before moving (after 22 days of the initial phone call) they called me again urging me to once again confirm moving date, even though I already confirmed and gave them a security deposit.

With only two days to move and all the stress that comes with moving, they sent me, for the first time, an email with the real charges and conditions. They pressured me over the phone to confirm quickly as they needed to book the units and they needed a confirmation right away. While I was on the phone with them, I was busy with people so I did not see the email that they sent me while they were talking to me. But based on the charges they told me on my initial Feb 5th call, and trusting there was nothing else hidden, due to the pressure they were giving in confirming ASAP while they had me on the phone, I confirmed once again.

Two days after during the actual move, they arrived late, claiming that they could not find a parking lot and after one hour lost, that I was eventually charged for, they got to my apartment and they started packing and disassembling the furniture. I got a phone call from the driver telling me that he couldn't park and that he needed $100 USD to park in a parking place that they were allowing to park for one hour only. I told him that that was a lie and that I was not going to pay that because it was their job to secure parking while moving my furniture. My building had a parking for moving companies and commercial trucks by the way.It was also reserved for them that day.

After this, some of the moving company staff acted rudely and carelessly about the goods and furniture they were packing.
Once we got to my new apartment, and the moving company arrived, they asked me to sign and pay the bill. They asked me to sign and pay even though the job was not finished. I saw the bill and it was for $1,162.64 USD. I asked them why it was the bill so high and they told me because they were charging 18% of the total price of the moving in gas and for other charges I accepted. I demanded and explanation as I was never told about this "new" charges they were considering and they threatened to leave with my belongings and furniture on their truck. I told them I was going to call the police on them but I was running out of time as we needed to finish the moving as the service elevators we were using for the moving were going to be occupied by other residents that reserved them. I decided to talk to a manger and he defended their position with the fact that he sent me the email with the extra charges two days before my moving. I paid the bill as I was afraid they will leave with my belongings. The driver (who was the person in charge) once I paid gave the order to leave without assambling back my furniture.

The way they operate is a scam. They should tell the customer, with appropriate time in advance, of all the charges and taxes so that their customers can make a decision without the pressure of the moving. It is evident they reconfirmed again 2 days before the moving date because they knew I was going to be tight in making a decision. They acted unprofessionally, rude and threatened to leave with my belongings and the driver trying to get an extra $100 USD for his parking lot. The amount I was charged was excessive and they still did not assemble my furniture as they were supposed to do it.
This company is very dishonest and has no integrity. They did nothing to make amends, nor did they try to resolve the issue professionally.

With gratitude

Desired Outcome

That they get penalize for taking advantage of people and that they stop using this fraudulent tactic. Also, that I get reimbursed around $500 USD that they extra charge me. Finally that they sent someone to properly arm my furniture.

All My Sons Moving & Storage Response • Apr 09, 2019

Thank you for the feedback and the opportunity to respond.
We called to confirm (as we do with every customer) 24-48 hours prior to move and we notify our customer we will do so at the time of booking and owner's call.
Quote was sent via email in writing 2 days prior which allows our customer the 48 hours prior to cancel and refund deposit.
Job was confirmed 8-10 am, we arrived at 8:59 am according to GPS, we shoot for 9 am because buildings in downtown rarely allow commercial vehicles before 9 am.
The elevator reservation and loading dock reservation is the residents responsibility and do not allow anyone else to make that reservation. Mr. did not make the reservation for the loading dock which is why they would not allow us to park there.
Our customer also confirmed 8-10 am with us but did not reserve elevator until 11 am. At customer's request helpers were dropped off while driver moved truck off premises. Public parking for cars is around $20/hr in downtown so for our 26' truck, yes parking was $100/hr. The parking lots name their price. Customer can verify that himself.
Again, the 18% fuel surcharge was discussed in confirmation call and sent via email 2 days before which the customer stated he received.
The reassembly was not performed at customer's request because he wanted the guys to finish as quickly as possible in hopes that they would finish early and he would be refunded money. They did not, they actually finished at 3:45 pm, 45 minutes past what he was charged for and we did not charge him anything additional.
Thank you for the opportunity to respond.

Customer Response • Apr 23, 2019

This company has proven to be lacking integrity in all capacities. I initially got a quote from All My Sons moving company that was completely different from the amount they charged the day of moving.

They wanted to charge me an extra $100 for parking because they needed to find a different spot to park. Again, not part of the original quote or agreement.

Once we got to the new apartment, they refused to bring the furniture in until I paid the invoice. They pushed me to sign the invoice there, to which I called All My Sons corporate and was in a disagreement about the extra charges I was about to incur.

After a long phone conversation, the disagreement was not resolved and I indeed incurred the additional charges not initially agreed upon. The lengthy phone conversation ate away at the time to move the furniture in as we only had a 2 hour window to used the elevators.

After they finally moved the furniture in, I asked them to assemble the furniture in the living room to which they said no because there wasn't enough time and they had another job and they left it unassembled in my living room because claiming that they got paid hourly.

So it was not in their interest and convenience to stay longer to complete the job as they needed to to another job where they will be paid for.

When I received the initial quote, there was not really a price breakdown. Just some expected charges and an amount I was expected to pay upon completion. Then, I received a phone call 2 days before the move and had to make an urgent decision over the phone to say yes or no.

It was a stressful phone call and being forced to give an answer of yes or no to a number that was different than the initial quote was not of good business practices.

I was in a stressful work meeting when they called and they made the decision seem so urgent I was unable to say no or to get the full breakdown from them.

The urgency over the phone forced me to say yes but I did not understand I didn't realize the new (second) quote they send me that same day 2 days prior to the moving had new charges or charge breakdowns than the original quote I received 30 days before.

This quote had more of a breakdown, but was not in the original quote. This is extremely poor business practice.

This company has extremely disappointed me in a time of stress and unease. I hired them to do one job: to move my belongings with care. The lack of professionalism from the staff was bewildering. They were loud, rude, and extremely messy.

I did not listen to the advice of my friends when they told me to go with another company, and now I wish I had.

I was traveling at the time of completion for this case and do not want this case to be closed without submitting this review of their horrible business practices and noncompliance with the Revdex.com. This is the first time in which I have complained about a business in this manor.

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
I accept the $250 that the company is proposing in good faith.

NEVER MOVE WITH THIS COMPANY IF YOU DON'T WANT TO BE TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF!!

IF YOU ARE A SINGLE WOMAN AND YOU ARE MOVING ALONE! DO NOT CALL THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU ARE READY TO BE BULLIED, SCAMMED AND DISRESPECTED. This would have not happened to a man or a woman with a man. I've had only pleasant experiences with moving and this is by far the worst experience I have ever encountered as a customer to any establishment. I never thought in 2019, I would have to call for help because I'm outnumbered by men who are there to take advantage of me. This is not a joke or a little review because I am upset. This is bigger than that, this is a stance against businesses that pray on the consumers and at any cost will do whatever it takes to get an extra dollar, even if that means causing chaos in your home. ALL MY SONS is the worst company I've dealt with in years! As a business owner, I would clean house because that type of behavior will eventually get you sued. I know the employees will get away free and clear because I can tell from the interaction with upper management, that is the way THEY DO BUSINESS.

Here it is:

This time last week, I was wanting to scream from the top of my lungs as I was being, bullied, disrespected and taken advantage of. I normally don't take the time to write reviews because as a business owner, I just don't have the time or do I want to contribute that energy. However, today on March 9, 2019 I have the time and I will use it to assure that other single women aren't put in a compromising situation as this one. I will go through this scenario very briefly and accurately.

On February 28, 2019, I called multiple Moving services after I got a cancelation notice due to an emergency from my known and referred moving services I've used in a past. Therefore, I was placed in a situation where I had to find a moving company at the last minute. I called over 10 companies I found on *** and everyone was completely booked out due to it being the first of the month. Later that day, I stumbled upon, "ALL MY SONS" MOVING COMPANY, I spoke with a gentleman briefly and he quoted me $159 per hour along with a $150 deposit. In which, I didn't mind because I was only moving a (One-Bedroom) condo, it was a two bedroom although, the second bedroom is used merely as wardrobe room. Nonetheless, they booked me for the afternoon between 12-2pm. Sounds great, although I wanted to move in the morning but that was perfectly okay because I had a few more things I wanted to assure were packed.
(Side Note: I am a very thorough packer due to the frequency of my moves; meaning I don't leave anything out such as small accessories etc.).

All My Son called me at 8am and told me they were 8mins away and I informed them that I was on the schedule for 12-2pm and that is what I planned for. Later on, I got a call from the driver to inform me that they were heading to my home. I provided specific instructions on how to park, gather access passes from the concierge etc. At that point, we were on the same page. I received their "we are on our way" call at 12:10pm, however, I did not receive a call about their arrival. Unfortunately, standing where they pull in is almost impossible due to heavy traffic and of course it was storming pretty bad that day. Nonetheless, I called the driver around 12:45pm to see what their eta was and I was told that they've been sitting downstairs of my condo for 30mins. Meanwhile, the clock is running which means that it's costing me to do that. You would have thought the "driver" or associate would have called because they have to clock in once they arrived at the job. STRIKE ONE! I informed the driver I had a 4:30pm dentist appointment around the corner from my home. This move should not take more than 4 hours. I've moved several times and I can time this work like the back of my hand. I've gotten many estimates so I'm factual as to the industry perspective as well.

Once I was able to get them to my unit, I signed a few documents enclosing disclosures etc., which the Driver complained about not being able to work the iPad and how difficult the new management is. I didn't condone in that conversation because as a business owner I empathize with a "company transitional" period. Furthermore, the other movers were walking around my home strategizing the move which is helpful and prompting doors opened to make clear paths. Afterwards, I stepped out of the way because I knew my inventory and accuracy of packing which would be moving boxes, wrapping delicates and the process of moving would get started. I packed multiple garbage bags of items I was looking to throw away so I headed downstairs to grab a cart to load the trash bags and it took me a total of 15 mins to clear these items out with no assistance. I returned upstairs to see the movers STILL THERE just walking and talking. Nothing is being done, no wrapping, no piling etc. I returned to the driver in-charge telling me that I could possibly get a job with the company due to my efficiency in moving fast, in a jokingly way. (I thought: "UMMM, no thank you but can you get started please). At that point, I knew it was best to just move out of their way because they are professionals of course. So, I began to make conversation with my neighbor who spotted me by the trash compactor downstairs by their truck. At this moment, I began to see movement in my items. However, the driver seemed extremely aggravated with his job. I wanted to know why so I asked, "is everything okay"? At that moment, he asked, "is there any place to get food around here"? Then he said, "matter of fact, how about you grab food since you have time". As a woman, I didn't want to say no because what if they start breaking my things as they finished moving me and made it seemed like it was accident. Heck, I just signed a billion disclosures and I am very aware that they will only cover up to a certain amount and my furniture is extremely expensive, they are pieces I've collected from the finest furniture galleries around the country. Nevertheless, I responded, "yes", and began conversing with my neighbor about nearby places and he responded, "WOW, that was very aggressive and bold of him to demand that from you". I responded, "I know right, I usually offer water and snacks but I cleared out the fridge the night before". I made my way to Chick-Fil-A to grab them food (4 #1's) that equaled to about $30.00 after confirming with the driver that was okay to get. At this point I just wanted them to finish the job.

I arrived back at my condo around 2:30pm. I saw that they had a lot longer left and I just wanted to know why. I served them the food and they ate. I scanned all of the rooms and of course there was a lot more to go. And when I tell you, "I just wanted to know what they were doing the entire time, I was furious"'! I had a dentist appointment and at this point I was convinced that they wanted to run the clock on my job knowing I was the last job of the day. Shortly after they finished eating, I heard a banging at my door (NO EXAGGERATION), literally banging! A gentleman walked in screaming, "Aye what's up," and greeted one of the movers. I thought it was the realtor I invited over from the initial knock before the banging. I asked him, "how did you get up here" and he responded not to me but his friend by saying, "I saw the truck downstairs and told the concierge, I was with y'all". I looked around and saw that the movers weren't wearing company apparel and then I walked out and went downstairs immediately because at this point, I am the only woman in the room. I asked the front desk concierge, "what did the man say because he is not with the company". The concierge begun panicking because this became a safety issue. We made our way back upstairs and they stood there talking for 20 mins and I asked them to finish the job in passive way by saying, "how much longer is left"? The mover didn't respond with words but started back moving and told his friend goodbye. STRIKE TWO. At this point, how do I not know if his friend was scoping out what I had and was going to potentially plot to rob me? How could that former employee know that his friend would be upstairs??? Exactly.....SOMEONE HAD TO HAVE CALLED HIM!!

I then asked the driver how much longer he had because it's 3:15pm. He informed me that I will not be making my appointment and at that point, I used common sense to cancel it earlier because I knew after so many signs these men were going to take their time. Between the conversations about the building and complaining about the walks and elevator, this was not going to go good. Therefore, I informed them that I will have three individuals meet me at my new home to help unload. At that time, they began to pick up speed in front of me because I had to monitor, and no longer leave them alone. At this point I've noticed I'm being taken advantage of and I'm just really wanting to be done with this company. I never had "loading" a truck take 5 hours! I never experienced an unprofessional and hostile environment in my own home while moving with a company. I was so afraid to take up for myself after all these years of dealing with people from my business life and personal. I was afraid! I had no male presence around me that could possibly be respected enough not to play with my time. I moved so many times and it's always been a joy and fun to talk and move efficiently with others.

4:30pm approached and I informed the movers that I will be heading to my new home which is 4 minutes down the street, to open the doors and assure everything is ready. Before departing I confirmed that they have officially moved everything out of my unit and no longer needed to be inside. I did a walk through with the driver and we were good to go. He then complained about how the other movers were unprofessional about taping a door handle to another attachment on the wall. However, he did it in a very degrading way as if the men did not have the capacity to think alone. I mean at this point, enough was enough. Therefore, I went ahead and locked up unit and made my way to my new home.

I waited roughly 30 minutes to ask the movers where are they because my colleague and his brothers had arrived within 10 minutes of my arrival. I only live 4 minutes down the road and the truck was completely packed and ready to go before I left, so what could possibly be taking so long? I am paying for these hours and at this point, I am beyond pissed. STRIKE THREE. When the movers arrived, they began becoming very intimidated by the other men there because of their urgency to get the job done. BECAUSE WE HAVE ALREADY TAKEN 5 HOURS TO LOAD A 1BEDROOM!! It could not possibly take 5 hours of labor to have the 1 bedroom condo moved; that's a 3 bedroom home according to other moving companies. Nonetheless, the driver began to gain a sense of urgency once he saw that it would only take 30mins to unload the truck with 6 MEN! Therefore, he began demanding money after showing me a bill for $1200.00 for 7 hours!!!! I've never in my life paid $1200.00 to move a 1 BEDROOM!! This is insane and I couldn't believe it so I told my colleague, "Can you see this"?? He said, "how in the world is this possible". At that point, we continued moving and the driver decided to threaten me by saying, "if you don't pay me, I will stop my movers right now"! I said, "No! You have added an additional 2 hours to my move on top of the 5 hours you took to load this truck". The Driver got on the truck and told the movers to stop unloading and they were going to go. I said, "oh no you're not, I will call the police because you are not going to steal my items". At this point I want to verify that my items are still in tact and I don't have anything to recover due to damages, AS I'VE DONE WITH EVERY MOVING COMPANY I'VE EVER WORKED WITH. Obviously, this man saw that I wasn't going to let him continue take advantage of me and I called for help. This resulted in this man becoming belligerent, he began yelling at my partner and his brothers to stop trying to move anything and he will not allow anything to make it back into my home. I then asked for the policy where it states that you collect the money prior to unloading and if that was the case, why did you start unloading in the first place and why did you get aggravated. The driver then ran onto the truck and started screaming to the workers to stop unloading. My colleague then stated, from beginning to finish why I am not paying before they finish unloading the truck including why I am not paying for an additional 2 hours while six men were present. The driver then went crazy! He began yelling in my DRIVEWAY! He stated, "he is not going to speak to anyone besides the customer and how he didn't really care how I felt about being taken advantage of. As well as, if I don't pay they are going to keep my belongs". My colleague began to tell him how unprofessional he was and how he is taking the situation extremely personal. At this point my neighbors began to come outside and I couldn't blame them. I moved into a townhome so we are only but a hop, skip and jump away from each other. At this point, I asked the driver to call his superior because he is not capable of having a respectful conversation and this has gone too far. This has gone to the point, I had to call for help because I was been bullied and taken advantage of. At this point, I wanted to cry with the emotions taking over me. I had the $1100 in cash and ready to give him, however, I knew for a fact that I wasn't paying for an additional 2 hours. 15 minutes, into them unloading the truck, they were half way done, in fact, that's what led the Driver to get disrespectful and demand payment.

I received a call from the manager (Danny) and he was just as rude and nasty as the Driver and took to his defense. I told him at this point, I will call the police and begin recording this, because in no way should your driver be yelling at the top of his lungs and going on this power trip. Nonetheless, after all of the back and forth, I told the driver and his crew to please stop talking and get upper management on the phone. At that point, I spoke with the manager and he informed me that he was going to call his driver and get back to me in which he never did. The driver then locked himself inside the front of the truck and began screaming. I couldn't really understand what he was saying but it didn't matter at this point. I just wanted my things and for them to get away from my property. I then asked him to get someone on the line higher than Danny. After a few moments later, I received a call from a supervisor or owner, I'm not sure because I didn't gather his information after the conversation. I was ready to get it done. I expressed my frustration and concerns in a very respectful way. I don't need to yell and speak foul, it can only result in more chaos. At this point, the man on the phone disclosed that he will allow me to the 4 hours and that's what I did. AFTER TWO HOURS!! The driver got off the truck and he began to instruct his crew to unload the truck. There was no talking at this point. However, during the move 2 expensive lamps were broken by the crew. I wrote on each box what it contains in each as glass etc. and arrows indicating which way to point the boxes. But at this point, I just wanted them gone, I don't want to go back and forth with a company that makes excuses for their employee's disrespectful behavior and horrible customer service. At this point, I wouldn't have conversation with them. The only result in resolving anything with this unprofessional company would be to speak with my legal team. Never in a million years would I have thought that as a single woman in 2019, I would have to deal with slick, scheming companies like this. All My Sons makes the moving industry look horrifying and greedy.

I've had only pleasant experiences with moving and I've always been asked if I needed help afterwards to hang tv's etc. I never thought in 2019, I would have to call for help because I'm outnumbered by men who are there to take advantage of me. This is not a joke or a little review because I am upset. This is bigger than that, this is a stance against businesses that prays on the consumers and at any cost will do whatever it takes to get an extra dollar, even if that means causing chaos in your home. ALL MY SONS is the worse company I've dealt with in years! As a business owner, I would clean house because that type of behavior will get you sued. I know the employees will get away free and clear because I can tell from the interaction with upper management, that is the way THEY DO BUSINESS.

THE END!

This is the worse experience I've ever had. Number one you said you were fully insured, they made me pay extra for insurance. My new fridge is all scratched up and my antique living room outfit has deep scratches all over. My upstairs wall is a mess that has to be repainted. It also cost alot more then we was quoted. If you are thinking about this company, run, keep looking.

Called and received quote from moving company on Friday, March 1, 2019 to schedule a move for March 9, 2019. Quote was given, the down deposit was made, and we were expecting to a receive an email with the time of our move on Saturday. While making arrangements, it was understood on both sides that we needed a morning moving time. Every day since Friday March 1, 2019, a phone call was made to the company because no email confirmation had been received, no time had been given. With every phone call the company claimed they would have the schedule ready the next day and would "resend the email." However, no email has been received. Its is Friday the 8th, the day before our move, we call the company to find out they scheduled us in the afternoon. We politely asked to cancel our services because that no longer works for our schedule, however, they will not return our deposit because it is in a 48 hour cancellation window. If we would have received our date, time, and email confirmation on Monday, we would not be facing a penalty. They refuse to refund our money and claim no responsibility.

Desired Outcome

Refund The company should refund our deposit due to their lack of management.

This is all that was requested from the company over the phone when the issue came about. Poor customer service and management, but thankful it was finally handled properly. Thank you for your cooperation.

Moving Disaster!
On February 22, 2019 we were scheduled for a move with ?All My Sons Moving and Storage? company. We chose this company because we wanted to support a family run business. In January, when we scheduled our move, we agreed upon the terms…price, discount and time!
It was the longest most disappointing move I have experienced. It was a 20 mile move from hell… worse than my 300 mile move from North Carolina!
My family came in from Pittsburgh on Thursday night February 21st, which meant they all took a day off from their jobs! We spent most of the night preparing and got up at 6:00 am the next morning to be sure that we were ready. ?All My Sons? was supposed to be arriving for my move between 8-11:00 am. They didn?t bother calling to confirm, so we called them a 8:15 for an estimated time of arrival….we were told that they would be there by or before 11:00 am. After multiple excuses…1. A broken down truck…2.a road disaster…3. An injured employee that had to be driven home...4.a change to another crew who were on another job…5. A phone call from a crew member who said he was on his way (and never showed up), all of which , alone, might seem believable but in combination seemed IMPOSSIBLE This company had the audacity to call and ask if WE would be willing to pay an extra $20 for an extra crew member to make the move faster! After refusing the offer from BETTY (the company owner), the 3 man crew arrived at 7:00 pm (11 hours later and at dusk).
Our move was completed in the dark within hours. My bed frame, mattress and box springs was not assembled, my office chair had a wheel broken off of it, and we had to move boxes and furniture to the appropriate places, even though the boxes were marked by room. We were charged a ridiculous amount for ?packing supplies? but we had already packed and moved most of the stuff. They only had to place blankets over large pieces. Betty tried to say that she was helping us but her explanation was just ?things happen and it?s not my fault?! She offered an insufficient discount of 25-30.00 and laughed at our suggestion that she consider the degree of inconvenience that her company caused me and my family.
Don?t EVER consider this company unless you like to waste an entire day waiting, wondering, and hearing excuses! Their customer service is negligible and the ?owner? is disrespectful and argumentative!

I posted my Yelp review written one year after the experience. I can only congratulate this company for its successful fraud committed against the public. I attribute it in part to the effective billboard of a child plastered across the city. Caveat emptor. Buyer beware. The 1-star reviews are all true. This is the worst company you (hopefully) will ever do business with. They are accountable to no one. The state law is non-existent. The stuff you live with everyday will be damaged, broken or stolen.

Nightmare! 4 guys, a moving truck and a van to move a washer, dryer and refrigerator. They dropped the dryer on its face due to their inattentiveness. Moved both washer and dryer attached to bases after I requested they separate them. But they claimed to know better, actually they were just too lazy to bend over and detach. Broke the knob on the washer and scratched the the refrigerator. Then they were worried about being fired not about damaging my appliances. They should be fired and I should not have been nice about the damage they did or concerned with their continued employment. They lie and make promises they will not fulfill. They give new meaning to bulls in a china shop. Their claims person Debra won’t return calls. Adam *** GM assured me they would refund my deposit, which they never did, and would get my items repaired, which they never did. Now won’t even return my calls. Then they stiffed the repair guy they sent out and would not pay for the parts he quoted and purchased to repair my appliances. So they are still not repaired. These people are liars and thieves and dont know the first thing about moving appliances. These goofs should be fired as they are bafoons not movers. The clowns from the circus would have done a better job with moving my appliances than these people did. Run, and run fast! Dont use All My Sons out of Helotes unless you want your goods broken and damaged, and like being lied to by con artists.

The team of four, led by Mitch, did an amazing job wrapping our fine furniture, moving very heavy pieces down the 2nd floor of our old home and then up the 2nd floor of our new home. I especially commend the strong guy (didn't get his name) for his herculean efforts that made this move successful. I recommend the office purchase mover straps and back supports for these incredibly hard workers.

My private contact info awas leaked to a competitor by one of their employees, I have voicemails proving so. Movers abandoned site left items unattend
Move date 1/26. For starters, your personal information is NOT safe with this company. Within a day of booking my move, I started to get calls from another moving company called 'Paulys Moving' that knew my move date, phone number, addresses of where I was moving to/from. They continued to call me throughout the week telling me that 'All My Sons was overbooked, and my account had been referred to them by All My Sons and they'd give me a cheaper rate'. When I called All My Sons to inform them of this, it was addressed with little to no concern. It's very clear they have someone working for them that is leaking private guest information to a competitor.

My move was scheduled as a 'morning move' and I was told movers would be arriving between 8am-11am latest, quoted for a 3 hour move. When it hit 930 and I had still not heard from the movers, I started calling their office and got no answer after a few attempts. Finally got thru to someone at 10:15 and was told by dispatch that the movers would call me right back and give me an eta. Didn't hear back for a half hour, at which point I was promised they'd be arriving in '45 min, an hour absolute tops'. When no one arrived after an hour, I again called, and was met with little to no apology or genuine concern, just told the movers would be there soon. They didn't arrive until 12:15.

When they arrived, I informed them of the little packing I'd need which would just be the kitchen, a few living room and closet items. I've never seen 3 grown men move so ridiculously slow. Nearly 2.5 hours passed *** they'd barely finished packing, let alone moved much out. Mind you, I live in a small 2 bedroom apartment, and 1 bedroom was completely empty. Very sparse amount of stuff in general. I had been working in a backroom on some emails, noticed how quiet it was, and looked up and outside to notice the movers had completely just left my apartment, without any notice to me, and left a good deal of my things out in my apartment lobby, completely unattended. I called the offices, and the office had no idea where they went. When the movers returned 20 min later, there was no apology or explanation, just that "they went on a break".... again without notifying me and leaving all my things unattended.

When we arrived at the residence I was moving into, I was again jerked around with pricing. In all my times moving, it's never taken more than 3 hours, for the same amount of stuff and services. If anything, I had less stuff to move in this move than I had in previous moves. This came to close to 5 hours. When I was given the price, I asked for it listed out itemized. As the mover listened over the phone and wrote it down for me, I did the math and the total was off about $40 from what he listed. He questioned this with the office and they piddled back and forth and pulled out another "charge they forgot to list" to validate the unaccounted for $40. Shady. I was surprised given all the issues I had on this move and how many times I had to call the office, I was given no courtesy or discounting, especially given I am also a repeat customer.

As the movers moved all my stuff into the new residence, I had to keep repeating myself with direction. I also noticed they had not labeled ANY of the boxes while packing, so we again had to exhaust more unnecessary time by opening nearly every box as it came in so I could dictate where it needed to be moved. They also tracked in a great deal of mud onto my basement carpet after I expressly asked if they could lay down some of the packing paper to not mess up the literally 4ft square area of carpet they needed to be mindful of.

Absolutely terrible moving experience on several counts, and your confidential information will NOT be safe with them. I chose them to move me this time after a good experience moving with them in back in September, but it's very clear they do not value a customer data security or safety of customer belongings.

Desired Outcome

Given the leak of my customer data, movers abandoning my personal items in a public area unattended for 20 min without notice, poor communication, not arriving at committed arrival time, general slowness of movers, and muddy tracks left on my carpet, I want to refunded 1 hour of moving cost.

Hello Ms.,

We apologize for the inconvenience. All My Sons prides itself in providing excellent customer service as we did the first time you used our services. We take the security of customers very seriously and have made the necessary changes in order to protect each customers privacy. We have a new staff along with new management to ensure that this does not occur again. Furthermore, I see we did not charge you for any of the packing material we used on your move which saved you a substantial amount on your bill. I have attached a claims packet so that the 4 feet of damaged carpet can be properly addressed. Please let me know if we can be of additional assistance.

Customer Response • Sep 16, 2019

the comment 'Furthermore, I see we did not charge you for any of the packing material we used on your move which saved you a substantial amount on your bill.' is absolutely false. I was offered to have I believe 1 roll of plastic removed from my bill when I called out the mover on how they abandonned all of my items on the curb to take an unannounced break. that in no way reads that you 'did not charge me for any of the packing materials'. I paid for all of my boxes and other misc packing materials. And frankly, the fact that I had to wait 8 months for a reply to make a false statement that youve already resolved this, and to ask ME to do more work after my private information was leaked, property abandonned, late movers, and downright slow movers, is just very crass and poor service. I am not satisfied with 'resolve'.

Company failed to pay on a damage claim that they approved. Damage Claim was approved on 9/5/2018 and I have not received the check.
I hired their company in Hilton Head, SC for a local move, during the move their movers damaged the wall on the new property. I filed a damage claim and the company approved the claim on 9/5/2018 for $150.00. I mailed all the requested information on 14 November 2018. I was told a check would be mailed out to me in the agreed and accepted amount in 30 days. I contacted the company on January 15, 2019 and spoke with R. West and he told me the original check was mailed on 5 December, I informed him I never received a check. He said they would cancel that check and send a new check out that day. I called the company on 31 January to see the status and was told that they would be mailing a check on soon.
I think this company is trying to avoid paying a claim that approved. I live in military housing and upon move out I will be charged for the damage that they had to repair.

Desired Outcome

Pay the claim amount of $150.00

Thank you, I did receive a check for the damages on 7 February 2019.

Quoted $600 over the phone. They kept my furniture in their truck, threatened to take it to their warehouse unless I paid them more money ($1229.76).
I called All My Sons Moving Company for an estimate. They said they could move me for $600. I paid them a $250 deposit over the phone. They said I had to pay the remaining balance the day of the move. I agreed and their movers showed up at 8:35 AM and moved all my furniture to the new Retirement Home. But this is where it gets weird. The movers refused to unload the truck unless I paid them more than what I was quoted. They even threatened to keep everything I own. They were downright nasty to me. I'm elderly and had no choice, they were holding everything I own hostage. Total bill came to $1,229.76. They overcharged me by $629.76

Desired Outcome

Your movers took advantage of an elderly woman who moved into a retirement home. Please refund me $629.76

All My Sons Moving & Storage Response • Feb 08, 2019

Thank you for the feedback. Our customer agreed to moving services for 1/31/19. All My Sons Moving & Storage provided a non-binding hourly quote. This consisted of 3 movers at $139.00 per hour with a 2 hour minimum, 1 hour of travel time at $139.00 plus a 12% fuel surcharge fee. Our customer requested that we perform packing services. In order to provide packing services, packing materials such as boxes, shrink wrap, tape and paper be utilized. These materials add an extra cost to the move. Our policy requires payment before delivery takes place. Our movers will estimate the time it takes to complete the job and charge accordingly. Our apologies that the move did not meet your expectations. Thank you for the opportunity to respond.

Damaged 2 costly pieces of furniture. Lost 3 boxes of irreplaceable things.
I am in the process of documenting everything damaged. The largest piece is a Marge Carson dresser that was $3850.00, a Century piece that was $2800.00 and missing items I have yet to total up. I've had some of these items for 15 years and no longer have the sales slips, sales reps, etc.
I am hoping more than anything to be reimbursed for everything missing, and have the damaged pieces restored professionally.

Desired Outcome

They damaged a Marge Carson piece valued at $3750, a Century piece at $2500, a *** end table at $1500, and lost several boxes containing some items that are replaceable and other family heirlooms that cannot be replaced. I am currently in the process of itemizing everything to the best of my memory, many of the items are 15 years old and older and I no longer have receipts or names of sales reps, etc. I hope this isn't a problem.

All My Sons Moving & Storage Response • Feb 01, 2019

Thank you for the feedback. All My Sons Moving apologizes for the damaged items. A Claims Specialist has been in contact with our customer regarding the claim procedures. Once we have received the completed claim forms back, we will process the claim.
Thank your for the opportunity to address the situation.

I request to keep this complaint case open until a resolution has been reached with AMS that is satisfactory to me. Based on their reputation, and after reviewing dozens of complaints by other customers who had the same kind of experience I did, and who reported lost or damaged items, I do not believe they are going to be fair in the claim settlement. The are offering pennies on the dollar for high-end items. Many customers reported far more than I did as being missing or damaged, and AMS offered them next to nothing by way of settlement. That's not acceptable to me. I accumulated everything I had over the years while I was working. Now, I'm retired and cannot afford to replace things as I once did. I'm also seriously wondering if I can get a police report filed regarding this company.

All My Sons Moving & Storage Response • Feb 15, 2019

We look forward to receiving the completed claim packet from our customer and will work toward a resolution once evaluated.
thank you.

Revdex.com Complaint *** - *** Move of Jan. 14, 2019

***,

Enclosed you will find my letter regarding the move by AMS on January 14, 2019, along with your packet and notarized paperwork and a compendium of damages and costs related.

I paid an advance deposit of $150.00. You charged me an additional $432.40 for the complete move (Ref. #XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX). That comes to $582.40. I want this reimbursed in total.

The total cost of items that were never delivered is $566.94. I have to replace these items out of my own pocket. I want a check for these items so I can replace them.

In addition, your guys broke off a piece of scrollwork on a *** chest of drawers that cost $3750.00. The piece also has a huge chip on the top and several large scratches. One of your managers came to the scene of the move and "glued" the piece back on without my permission and before I had a chance to photograph it. This is highly unacceptable. I will have to contact a furniture restorer to get a quote for the repairs for this piece, which I cannot afford to do at this time. I would like an additional $500 in anticipation for this repair.

There is also a large scratch on a side table which cost $800 that your guy filled in with a magic marker. I can't even believe you think this is satisfactory. Some people have really nice things that they've worked hard for and I don't appreciate"magic marker repairs" and I don't think anyone else would, either.

Also missing was a box I had when I was 21, filled with things my parents had given me and that cannot ever be replaced. I'm not seeking monetary value on this because frankly, you can't put a price on memories of dead loved ones.

My entire experience with AMS was a fiasco from start to finish. The stress you have caused me by having to research and document everything missing or damaged has been a monumental strain on me.

In conclusion, the total amount that am requesting and that I believe is fair is $1649.34. This is for the move itself and the items I have to replace, not to mention the strain and stress of this entire fiasco. I'm adamant about this amount, and I will not let this matter go until it's resolved to my satisfaction, believe me when I say this.

I AM WRITING THIS ON EVERY SOCIAL MEDIA SERVICE I CAN FOR EVERYONE TO BE WARNED ,, BASED ON WHAT I HAVE GONE THRU WITH THIS WORST EVER MOVING COMPANY. YOU CAN READ MY REVIEW I HAVE POSTED ON YELP AS WELL.
I MOVED FROM MY HOME IN APRIL 2018 INTO STORAGE RIGHT NEXT DOOR TO THEIR FACILITY. IT WAS AN AWFUL EXPERIENCE WITH THE MOVERS JUST GETTING MY THINGS INTO STORAGE. All My Sons Moving & Storage Response • Jan 29, 2019

Thank you for the feedback. On behalf of All My Sons, I would like to apologize for the issues you experienced regarding your move. We always strive for excellence knowing how stressful a move can be, and we did not meet your expectations. For that I am truly sorry. We have a dedicated Claims Department to help with the issues. A claim package was generated and the forms were left at our receptionist desk on 12/3/18 for the customer to pick as they requested. Once our customer has returned the completed claim packet, we can address the issues.

Customer Response • Jan 29, 2019

Even when my friend went over to get the form they were rude to him as well! The claims form has NOTHING TO DO WITH THE ITEMS THAT ARE ACTUALLY MISSING. I CANT PROVIDE PHOTOS OF ANY DAMAGEREGARDING MY PEDESTAL TABLE AND MY MOTHERS CRYSTAL AS THESE ITES WERE STOLEN FROM ME DURING THE MOVE. *** , THE SENIOR DRIVER AND THE OTHER DRIVER FROM SOUTH AMERICA (NAME I CANT RECALL, DIFFICULT TO RECALL) KNEW OF THE TABLE MISSING A SCREW. DRIVER WAS GOING TO REPLACE THE SCREW SO IT SAT PROPERLY. PREVIOUS MOVERS WITH ALL MY SONS LOOSENED AND LOST THE ORIGINAL SCREW TO THE TABLE, INSTEAD THEY DROVE OFF WITH THE TABLE!! AND THREE OF MY 12X12X16 BOXES THAT HAD MY MOTHERS CRYSTAL IN THEM!
I CALLED AND SPOKE TO *** WELL OVER 10 DAYS AGO. HE HAS NOT CALLED ME BACK REGARDING THE LOCATION OF THESE ITEMS!. THEY HAVE SIGNIFICANT EMOTIONAL MEANING AS THEY ARE FAMILY ITEMS.
THIS COMPANY HAS *** EXTREMELY RUDE TO ME DURING THE ENTIRE PROCESS .
I HAVE DONE A CHARGE BACK OF $4500 FOR THESE MISSING ITEMS.
IT DOES NOT INCLUDE IRREPRABLE DAMAGE TO A SAAREIN 1957 END TABLE WORTH OVER $3000 AND A POT FROM FRANCE, BOTH PACKAGED BY ALL MY SONS VERY STUPIDLY. EVEN *** AGREED WHEN HE SAW THEM.
HE TOOK PHOTOS ON HIS COMPANY IPAD AND I AM GOING TO BE PUTTING IN A CLAIM REGARDING THESE TWO ITEMS
ALSO PACKAGED BY ALL MY SONS WERE MY GLASS CANDLE HOLDERS. ALL BROKEN. .

NOTE: EVERYTHING I PAKCAGED, HAD ZERO DAMAGE.

THESE PEOPLE DONT CARE ABOUT YOUR THINGS. AND THEY ARE NOT NICE TO DEAL WITH ON ANY LEVEL.

This company is dishonest. Their quote did not include travel time and a 12% fuel charge. They charged for time they estimated and it took weeks and numerous calls to get the credit I was due. They did not respond to my complaints and promises to return calls were not kept. The costs for my move was hundreds of dollars more than they quoted. I had a terrible experience with this company. They do not care about or respect their customers.

No show for delivery and price delivery increase.
On 12/15/18 I went to the Carrollton location to price delivery for a statue that is currently in their possession. The mgr gave me a price of 750 and dispatch scheduled delivery. The guy that look at the delivery site told me to put a 4'x5' pad for the statue to be placed on which I did. The day of delivery, we waited for 5 hours and finally I got in touch with someone that said they were not coming. They told me it would be re-scheduled and no charge for additional storage of the statue because of their scheduling issues. My calls have been ignored. I emailed someone in Okla. and they had a new manager contact me from the Carrollton office. He bumped the to over 1400 to deliver. Now I have 350 dollars invested in the pad and the delivery is twice what they promised.

Desired Outcome

To resolve the issue would be to do exactly what was represented; the delivery price is 750 and no charge for the months of statue storage which was a result of them being so disorganized and employee fall out. none of which is my fault. I have invested money in the concrete pad of 350 as directly by the All My Sons representative and I want the statue delivered at the price promised.

All My Sons Moving & Storage Response • Jan 17, 2019

Thank you for the feedback. Our Operations Team has reached out to our customer and scheduled a delivery date for the statue. Delivery will be made under the original price agreement.
All My Sons apologizes for the inconvenience.

Moving experience was very unprofessional. Furnitures damaged or never delivered. My loss is about $2,000 & company proposed $85 of compensation.
Our moving experience was very poor and frustrating. Our belongings were supposed to be stored in climatized premises but boxes were delivered in a very bad condition & damaged. Few pieces of French fine china (Brand: Haviland) from our wedding came broken (4 serving dishes, 2 plates, coffee cups), as well as 3 vases and 2 decanters, numerous pictures frames. One of the sofa legs was broken and the sofa was full of stains. One of our pedestal table has never been delivered. The total amount of our loss is approx. $2,000.
We contacted the moving company to report this issue the day of the moving. They've been very rude over the phone. We sent a claim online and we had to send 2 reminder emails before getting an offer letter.

Desired Outcome

We would like to get a raisonnable offer letter with professional and honest refund amount

Business Response /(1000, 6, 2019/01/02) */ Thank you for the feedback. Our customer submitted a damage claim and it was reviewed and processed at the contractual agreement of $0.60 per pound/per article. Our customer refused the initial settlement amount and the claim was considered further. An increased payment amount was justified and was sent to our customer. Once we receive the signed agreement, a check will be issued for payment. Thank you for the opportunity to respond. Consumer Response /(3000, 10, 2019/01/04) */ Good afternoon we did receive a 2nd offer this week for an amount of $250. Once again our loss is $2,000. This 2nd letter is unacceptable. And again we have no idea on what happened to our fourniture missing. This wasn't explain in the letter. This case is not solved and we are as customer not satisfied. What will be our options now? Thank you for helping customers. Business Response /(4000, 13, 2019/01/17) */ According to your transportation bill of lading, you maintain a valuation limit of $0.60/pound/article with no deductible. To clarify, valuation is defined as the shipper's declaration of the carrier's maximum limit of liability in the event of loss or damage to the shipment. Valuation is a concept unique to the transportation industry and is specifically authorized by the Department of Transportation. As greater valuation was not selected, All My Sons Moving & Storage limit of liability for loss or damage to your shipment is $0.60/pound/article. As a means of clarifying this matter, you did not purchase insurance, but rather basic valuation protection was provided at no additional cost to your move. We do not sell insurance nor are we an insurance company. You were presented with various options of valuation protection. Valuation is not insurance but a contractual agreement that prescribes the declaration of the value of the property in the event that there is loss or damage. We have exceeded our legal liability in an effort to resolve the claim. Consumer Response /(4200, 16, 2019/01/23) */ Thank you for this answer. What about the missing furniture. There is no reference to this in your offer. You were supposed to deliver the entire fournituer that have been given under your supervision. And you failed. On the top of that we did not receive any explanation or apologies for this loss. Why? How do we suppose to undersatnd this. Thank you Business Response /(4000, 18, 2019/01/29) */ Thank you for the feedback. AMS apologizes for the damage and loss. We have addressed our customer's claim to include compensation for all items claimed in claim form. Consumer Response /(4200, 21, 2019/02/05) */ Good morning, I have accepted and returned the offer letter signed on 01/29/2019 and never get a check that was supposed to be sent. Please advise. thank you Business Response /(4000, 24, 2019/02/13) */ We received the signed agreement from our customer and entered into our payment system on 1/31/19.
