The only reason this company got my business is because they were so nice during the initial call where I received a quote, I was in desperate need of a moving company because I had to fire the company scheduled to move me. I had only 3 days before the move and it was open on the calendar of this company, Also, the actual movers were very professional and hard working. I must commend them on how great they were! I have very unhappy with the additional charges forced upon me during the less than 24 hour confirmation of my moving appointment. I was told I had to take the packing charges of about $90 additional dollars. I was also told that my move would probably take more than 2 hours that was quoted. It was quoted to me that my move cost $441. There was no mention that it would take longer or that the packing charges would automatically be included, Of course I had to accept the additional charges and be prepared that they would make sure that the move took more that 2 hours. It did take longer as they wrapped every piece of my furniture, including couches and chairs with no glass. Although I appreciate the care given to my furniture, I would have like for the quote to include discussion of the wrapping charge and also been given the choice to accept the wrapping done on my furniture, I had my own bubble wrap and had packed my own items very well. I don't like to be tricked! I wish they'd been honest and told me everything I needed to know during the quote. Shame on All My Sons Moving and Storage.
Absolute worst experience ever. Rocking chair missing a leg dining room table has a huge scratch on it. It ridiculous they charge by the hour and took at least 4 breaks and it took them 1 hour and 25 min to drive 7 miles. Find anyone else but them. They sent 3 guys and all he did was follow and take breaks. The other guy wondered around doing nothing!! I was told I was getting credit and never did.
Company did not honor time they should move and then didn't get finished until 1am. Thus breaking items from exhaustion.
This is the third time I've moved with All My Sons (including my BF moving with me this time). They were suppose to be at my house sunday morning. Did not get there until after 4 after the team had already done another large move. I spoke with office and offered to wait until the next so the team wouldn't be so tired. They declined. They did not get finished until 1 am. They were all completely exhausted (and so was I). In the process, curtain rods and a large mirror got broken. I put in a claim for the mirror thinking that I was doing a favor by not filing the entire claim (although I'd sent pictures after the move). While it cost me $173 to fix the mirror (which was part of a pair for over my bedroom dresser thus making having one worthless. They have "offered" to pay me $50 and after my complaint have moved it to $75. This doesn't cover the cost. I guess no good deed goes unpunished. I should have demanded they wait until the next day when the team was fresh. Unsafe employee practices - putting both the client, the client's items and the teams at risk. Including making me exhausted going into work the next day.
I want the mirror's cost refunded.
Good afternoon. After a review of our database, we do not have a record of Ms. contracting a move with All My Sons Moving & Storage of Dallas, Inc.
Without a doubt the WORST movers around, do yourself a favor and do not use them, the packers do not care about your stuf
!
I moved with All My Sons Moving in ***. I called a week in advance of my move date and I asked for an 8 AM to 10 AM move time. The customer service person said yes, we can see about getting someone out there in the early AM time slot. (All My Sons also required a deposit which was charged to my credit card) I got a call Thursday late PM (16 hours before my move) and I was told by the manager "Steve" that my move would be at about noon. I asked why noon when I clearly asked for the time slot of 8 AM until 10 AM. He said "we don't work like that" and then I got the "song and dance" of excuses. I finally said "enough" and "okay". Friday at noon comes and no call from the movers. I called All my Sons and they transferred me to the manager "Steve" who now changed the time from "noon" to "3PM to 5PM" I got the same "song and dance" about how they cannot know when the movers will exactly arrive. The movers did arrive at 3:30 PM and during the 1 bedroom move the movers broke both of my glass lamps. One they told me about and the other they failed to mention. (The stand was broken in half on the other one and the movers had propped the lamp up against a wall.) I didn't notice the damage until they had left. They also broke the end off my bed frame. I had to assist the move crew to hammer the board back into place using nails on my bed frame.
Total dissatisfaction. I only have a one bedroom apartment easy move....do not use this company. I would absolutely avoid this moving company at all costs.
terrible customer service, damaged items, and an overall horrible experience.
It was my first time using a moving company, and this will be the last. When I called initially I was assured not to worry and promised things would run smoothly. I put down a $100 deposit. I was told I would get that back, and never did. I was told getting a storage unit close to my apt would make it cheaper for me, I was still charged $109. $60 for gas. $75 for wrapping fees. My wrapping for my bed, dressers and nightstands were unwrapped once they were put in my storage unit. Once I called to speak to a manager I was hung up on. My mom called them shortly after and they were also extremely rude. It was one thing after another. When I called and hired this company I made sure to ask about prices/everything to be explained so I knew what to expect etc. At the end of this, Nothing was explained and I felt like I was lied to. When a customer calls and asks to speak to a manager and they are clearly upset, that should be the main priority for a business. Instead, I was hung up on. It a terrible experience. Moving is already extremely stressful, and I felt like all my sons just made it ten times worse. I am slowly finding pieces of my furniture around my old apartment, and broken furniture in my storage unit. Because the packing of my furniture was also done incorrectly, I now have to pull everything out to see what else has been damaged. Bottom line, they were extremely rude, and did not take the time to resolve any issues. All of which could have been avoided when I called and hired this company.
I was told I would be spending around $250 (I anticipated maybe $300 when it was all said and done), and the "hidden fees" were left completely out. I am now out almost $600. I would really appreciate at least $100 refund.
Thank you for the feedback. Our sincere apologies for the issues that occurred during the relocation. Our customer was quoted a non-binding rate that included 2 movers at $109.00 per hour with a 2 hour minimum, 1 hour of travel time at $109.00 and a 12% fuel surcharge fee. A follow up email was sent to our customer on 4/18/19 that detailed the cost of the move and also included the cost of disposable inventory that included tape, shrink wrap and other materials used to properly protect our customer's goods from potential damages. Our Claims Department was notified of damages on 5/1/19 and a claim package was emailed to our customer. Once the completed claim package is returned, our Claims Team will evaluate and process the claim in accordance with the contractual agreement.
Thank you for the opportunity to respond.
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Yes, the cost of the movers was correct. However, I spoke with a manager that told me getting a storage unit closer to my apartment would cut down the travel time cost. Also, the deposit I was told I would get back was never addressed in the response above. The company fails to leave out little but important details that do make a difference in someones move. I called the night before my move and asked for those supplies, that were taken off of my furniture before it was put in my unit. Again, something that was left out. I would have wrapped it myself if I knew I was paying $80 for "temporary supplies". The most important thing that again wasn't addressed in the response was the lack of customer service. It was beyond poor. So, I will not accept this response from all my sons.
Thank you for the additional feedback. Again, our apologies for the issues that occurred. Getting a storage unit closer to the apartment would have cut down on labor time, not travel time. The travel time that is charged is the standard 1 hour which gives our moving team 30 minutes to drive to the origin location and 30 minutes to drive back to the office after the move is completed. The time charged in between is charged as labor. The deposit is applied toward the total cost of the move and is not refunded unless the move is cancelled. Our Operations Team spoke with our customer on 4/29/19 and reviewed all of the details of the move and a follow up email was sent on the same day that outlined the details as well.
We feel that we have addressed all of our customer's concerns in regard to this complaint.
awful - broke furniture - left furniture at old house - claims not offering fair settlement
DANGER. CAUTION. WORST MOVERS. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE.
This was the worst moving and customer experience. If Facebook allowed businesses to owe customers stars, they would owe me more than 5.
Save yourself $915.93 (including $50 tip). It?s not worth the frustration, headache, empty promises and patronizing you will receive from Mike and/or Dan.
1. Dan (part owner of All My Sons) confirmed my move date the night before and said that the movers will show up sometime between 8-9:30am on Friday and that they would call me before they arrived. I moved from North Attleboro across town to North Attleboro and their offices are in Attleboro. Dan told me that they should be on the earlier side since their office is close to my house. The movers showed up at 9:30 and never called. I have a very anxious dog with a torn ACL and I had to get him out of the house before the movers showed up. Needless to say; that didn't happen. The movers also seemed annoyed that I asked them to go back to their truck so I could get my dog out of the house.
2. It took 3 men 1 hour to take my bed apart. I am 5?4?, 110lbs and I have taken my bed apart and put it together 6 times. Again. It took 3 men, much bigger than me, 1 full hour to take my bed apart. They also didn?t have any of their own tools and had to use the tools from my toolbox. The only things I didn?t take apart was my bed and my dining room table. My bed has 8 nuts you unscrew, and my table has four legs with 2 screws each. Oh, they lost the hardware for my bed as well.
3. They almost left my toolbox at the house. My mother, who was on site, had to tell them to take it with them. She also asked them to take my printer and the movers asked her to put it in her car. This means the toolbox was the last thing they put in the back of their truck and the first thing they had to move to get my other stuff out of the truck. THEY TOOK MY TOOLBOX. We didn?t even realize until my mom went back to my old house to see if it was there.
4. I boxed everything and meticulously labeled every box on all four sides and the top with the rooms they were to go in at the new house. I also disassembled everything and labeled everything not in a box. I moved from a 1 story rental house about 1000 sqft. Everything was pulled out of all the rooms and left in the large main room and all they had to do was put in the truck. It took them two hours and they left a bunch of stuff clearly labeled at my old house. Including a blanket that fell out of the ottoman, they were moving. They left that on the floor at my old house. Mike (part owner of All My Sons), tried blaming my mother (who was on site), for the movers leaving things behind. THE MOVERS ASKED MY MOM TAKE THINGS IN HER CAR. They were clearly not putting anything else in their truck
5. NONE of the things made it to the rooms they were supposed to go in. Most ended up on the kitchen, dining room and porch. All on the first floor. Nothing made it to the basement. Again, I have a very anxious dog with a torn ACL. It was very important for things to at least make it to the right floor, so I didn?t have to keep going up and down the stairs. I guess I didn?t explicitly tell them this after the movers asked me why my dog was limping on 3 legs and after I told them he was anxious. Guess they didn?t really care and was wasting even more time.
6. Things labeled ?fragile? were left on its side and with boxes on top of them. My ottoman was left on its side as well. Which normally wouldn?t be a big deal. But both sides open for storage. They actually mentioned to my mom that it wasn?t closing right or something when they were moving it from my old house and they LEFT IT ON ITS SIDE IN MY LIVING ROOM. They buried my dining room table against the sink in the kitchen. And left a giant box in the middle of my porch that was clearly labeled ?basement?. Did I mention that NOTHING MADE IT TO THE BASEMENT or any other place it was supposed to go?
7. It took 2 hours to unload my stuff at my new house. The majority of the moving happened between me leaving for my closing in Attleboro and my dad showing up at the house. My new house is in North Attleboro and my parents live in North Attleboro 10 minutes away. I passed my dad heading to the house. If you think about it, it doesn?t take that long when you just dump everything at the entrance of the house anyway, yet they took their sweet time for the first 1.5 hours. The bags with clothes in them had holes in them with clothes spilling out of them. I know this because I had to move them from the first floor to the second floor all were labeled ?bedroom?.
8. I had to call All My Sons 7 times, yes 7 times, the day of the move to find out where my toolbox and the hardware for my bed were. EVERY TIME they said someone would call me back. No one ever did. I started calling at 4:30pm and I finally got my toolbox back at 7:30pm. NO BED HARDWARE. Dan dropped it off and I had my dad wait with me to speak to Dan because I already knew that they would not listen to me. We told him everything that happened and told him how frustrating it was to have someone tell us they would call us back every time and yet .no one ever did. Dan told us that he couldn?t get a hold of his guys after he called them the first time...Dan also told us that he was going to work to find my bed hardware or replace it and investigate refunding me some money for the move. Surprisingly enough, none of that ever happened.
P.S. My nice set of DeWalt Allen wrenches are missing, but I have a random set of metric Allen wrenches now.
9. My bed hardware was never returned, and no one called me (surprise surprise) to tell me that they would reimburse me for the hardware, that they couldn?t find it or even APOLOGIZE for losing it, which meant that we had to go out and get new hardware so I could have a place to sleep.
10. I called again the following Monday, 3 days later, and spoke to Mike. The other owner of All My Sons apparently, who spoke to me like I was incompetent. He asked me who was at the house because it was up to that person to make sure nothing was left behind. He completely ignored all the other terrible experiences I mentioned and even said: ?I have to check with the guys about the bed because if you THINK there are only 8 nuts then I don?t know?. If I THINK no no Mike. I know I?m just a lowly woman but I, in fact, know how to take my bed apart. Mike also tried guilting me by reminding me that Dan brought my toolbox back to me in his personal vehicle on his own time. Really Mike. Because Dan had to take personal time to fix an issue his workers created means I have no right to file a complaint? Woman are smarter now Mike. Liberated even. That sort of underhanded manipulation to play on our emotions and make us feel bad and shut up doesn?t work anymore. He also told me that he would personally call me back. Oddly enough, NO ONE CALLED ME BACK. I had to call them back 6 hours later. Seeing a pattern yet??.
11. I recommended All My Sons to the people who moved out of the house I bought. They used them. I told Dan and Mike this and they didn?t seem to care. I also recommended them to someone else who is moving soon. I will be retracting my recommendation.
12. The previous homeowners were still at the house I moved into when the movers showed up. They told me they saw a mover drop something and it broke apart. I assuming that?s why I had random tax papers out on a coffee table, but I can?t remember what they were in. They also heard a loud crashing noise from the truck when they left and told me that they didn?t look like professional movers. They will be calling All My Sons to tell Dan and Mike what they saw. I?m sure Dan and/or Mike will say ?I?ll call you back?.
13. STILL UNRESOLVED. After calling All My Sons back, after Mike personally promised to call me back earlier in the day, I spoke to Dan who told me that he needs to have a meeting with others in the company and speak to the movers because refunding me for this horrible experience is up to several others. Not just him. He told us (my father and I) he was going to speak to the movers that moved me the previous Friday and get back to us. He has now promised to call me back on Wednesday at noon with an answer. I WON?T HOLD MY BREATH DAN.
05/02/2019 UPDATE: Dan did not call me on Wednesday 05/01/2019 as he promised. I received the below cookie cutter response from someone allowed to log in to their Facebook page and then no response. I called their customer care line on 05/01/2019 and spoke to Jessica who said she would call me back the same day, even if she did not speak to Dan or Mike. SHE DID NOT CALL ME BACK. I called her and left a voicemail. I even replied to the Facebook post from All My Sons saying they would personally like to fix the situation, stating I did not get a response from the customer care contact. NOTHING.
05/02/2019 UPDATE: Still no call back from Jessica from customer care. I called Jessica, again, and she said she hadn?t spoken to Mike. She said she was going to speak to Dan. But, apparently, she wrote Mike an email instead and hasn?t heard back. She hung up with me to call them and said she would call me when s he speaks to Mike.
I can call All My Sons and Mike, or Dan will answer every time. They are the only two people who have ever answered the NINE times I?ve called and yet Jessica can?t get a hold of either of them? Either way, customer care can?t a hold of a local branch, which seems like a huge internal issue, but no one seems to care.
I have left a voicemail with Doug Hillman, Customer Care Manager stating that NO ONE has called me back and I have been promised a call back 8 times by Dan/Mike and twice by their customer care. I highly doubt I will ever hear from them but my list of updates are ever growing and I keep the Revdex.com updated.
Stay away from them. I used them and they caused $750 of damage that was EASILY avoidable. I even told them how to secure the load to avoid damage and they didn't do it! I was also told that they were bonded and insured which was a LIE. After going back and forth with the claims department for weeks about the damage they've increased their offer from 1/8th of my items value to 1/3 of the value. These people are crooks. They want to get paid $130hr but treat your belongings worse than UPS! You're items are valued by then at .60c a pound. Unless it's a solid wood antique, it's worthless to them and that's how they treat it!
Our claims department is handling your claim within the legal parameters allotted.
I had a horrible experience with All My Sons. ?Kat? quoted me a price over the phone. Being amom on a strict budget, I asked her several times to break down the price. She confirmed that the price was inclusive of all travel and fees. She even put me on hold to speak to a manager to verify the price. I felt comfortable with the quoted amount booked the move with them. The bill ended up being nearly twice of what they quoted me. When I spoke to manager at the local facility, he told me that Kat was wrong about the price and agreed that she misguided me. So now, instead of them taking responsibility for their employees incompetence- I have to pay for her mistake. They claim that an estimate with the total price was sent. However, I checked my inbox and junk mail - I never received an email. I wish that I had read all of the negative reviews about them before I booked because apparently they do this to a lot of people. Truly a shame.
I had 3 mover's, they were very professional. I will not use this moving company again, prices are way too expensive to move a one bedroom apartment. BTW, has anyone had any issues with the company sending you a receipt. For as much as I was charged, I should have gotten my receipt immediately. They definitely charged my account immediately ð??¤
Don't use these guys. When I called about booking them I was told that they were bonded and insured. They are not! Their trucks are insured not your belongings. They caused more damage to my belongings than the move cost. They value your belongings by weight at .60c a lb. Most flat screen tvs are 15-30lbs, that equals $12-$18 to them. If they break it, that's what you get. I told them how to secure me too box on the truck which if they had done it, it wouldn't have smashed through other items.
Our claims department is working through your claim within the legal parameters allotted.
They were horrible. The estimate they gave wasn’t even close to what they charged. They charged me twice the amount and didn’t care what the original quote was for.
Worst company I have ever spoken with. And they said if I didn’t pay, then they would take the truck with my stuff to a lot until I paid.
Worst company ever.
I would honestly give them no stars. Maybe -5 at the most. The absolute WORST moving company I have ever experienced in my life. 2 guys struggled 6 hours to move a 1 bedroom apartment to a storage space and wanted to add hidden fees since I was a single female. 2 years later, upon getting my belongs out of storage, they damaged all of my items. I wouldn't trust them to move my trash to the curb. Please, let this review change your mind about this wretched place of business.
Total scam company. Quoted me 650 over the phone and changed the bill to 1250 when all my stuff was on the truck . Been arguing with them for over a week now to reduce the charges with no success
This customer was quoted a minimum amount of time that we charge just for our service to move him. The minimum on his move was $667.52 for 4 hours. This only included 3 hours of labor and 1 hour of travel time. Based on the information the customer told us over the phone, his move would only take the minimum amount of time to do a "partial move" plus the actual travel time. His partial move took 5 hours. His move was done on March 16th. He called on March 19th to state that he had damages and concerns about his move. I sent him a claim form to fill out. He also stated that he had concerns about how his move was handled and I asked him to write a note in addition to his claim so that I could bring it to the managers attention. He sent his claim form back to us incomplete. He also said he was charged for packing material he did not use and travel time. He has been refunded $197.12 due to this error. I am still waiting on his completed claim form to process his claim. Please let me know if I may be of any more help.
Billing rate was 99 dollars per hour and services were not rendered for over an hour due to member's were unable to preform the job.
All my sons movers arrived and I had all my small stuff moved already and my big stuff broke down ready to go.
I live on the 3rd floor and was moving in the same complex on the first floor. I needed the following moved my sofa love seat recliner 3 mattress 1 box bring 2 dressers 1 night stand washer dryer table refrigerator 2 chairs and a desk moved. We started moving some things while they started on the refrigerator. They took over an hour and the refrigerator was still not moved. During that time we started moving stuff because we were being charged by the hour and they could not get one refrigerator down. 3 hours later another driver arrived to help with the refrigerator. The company I had before moved 2 refrigerators for me upstairs in less than 30 minutes. My mistake for not calling them back. They were not experienced and was not able to claim one flight of stairs let alone moving anything up and down stairs. They only ended up moving a refrigerator one couch dryer table and 1 dresser and charged me over 400 and we moved the rest. When I spoke with the company there response was it was my decision to help move but I could not sit around when they sent movers that were not capable of doing the job and riding the clock on my dime. I don't feel I should be charged full price when they were not able to complete the job in a timely manner and was not capable of doing the job and I was charged by the hour. They had to call for more experienced help that arrived 3 hours later. They also left my couch in the hallway and had to go back and get it. I will never use them again and will tell everyone I know and hope that more people report them so something can be done about them taken advantage of there hourly rate. An hourly rate should be charged for services being performed and someone trying to figure out how to do the job while the consumer foots the bill is not acceptable. The start time was 815 and the end time was 1100. Thanks for your help with this matter.
Thanks again
A partial refund for 1 hour due to lack of progress during that time. Nothing was moved by movers during the time they were trying to move the refrigerator. Refrigerator was moved 3 hours later after more experienced help came.
Thank you for the feedback. Our apologies for the issues experienced during the move. Our customer was billed for 2.75 hours of labor for the job. We have agreed to reduce the labor hours to our minimum of 2 and refund 3/4 of an hour back to our customer, $74.25. Our customer will receive an email with a document to authorize the refund in the form of a company check. Once our customer returns the completed document, a check will be issued.
Thank you for the opportunity to respond.
Move was on March 30, 2019. Team's tablet wasn't working and they charged for the time trying to get this to work.
A move was scheduled for March 30, 2019. The tablet that they use was not working that morning. They took 4 hours to empty a small house and then charged while they tried to fix their tablet when they arrived at the new address. They did not fulfill their agreement to put all new furniture together and they also did not put all boxes out of the old house into the new house. It was left by the elevator and we were asked for helpers to move these items. We put all furniture back together ourselves.
I would like an billing credit of one hour for the time they took to fix their tablet as they were not working and also the time it took for us to put the furniture back together and move all boxes away from the elevator. This move was scheduled for a 82 year old woman who would never be able to do all of this by herself.
Thank you for the feedback regarding the relocation performed on 3/30/19. Our apologies for the incomplete move and the delayed time with our tablet. We have agreed to our customer's request to refund one hour of labor back in the amount of $149.00. Our customer will receive an email containing a document for the refund. Once our customer has returned the completed document to authorize the refund, a check will be issued for payment.
Thank you for the opportunity to respond.
(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
I have chosen to accept the response as they have agreed to exactly what I asked for. I should have asked for more of the charges back but did not think they would agree. The company needs to properly train their employees and not leave their customers feeling taken advantage of.
Will never use this company again. Lied about pricing, rude workers, did not disassemble furniture as was told they would do, added tape and wrap charges after move, drove in neighbors yard causing huge ruts. I really did not even want to give them 1 star.
The worse company I?ve done business with. Verbal quote got me to leave a deposit. Written estimate $400 different from what was told so I canceled. All this occurred on 3/25 and I?ve still not received my deposit. I?ve been getting the runaround.
ABSOLUTELY THE WORST!!!! I bought a perfectly good house and the sellers hired this company to move her. Well, during the seller move out an employee feel through the garage ceiling leaving a 6 foot hole in now my garage ceiling. Yes they did admit fault but when I called them, ax I just bought the house, basically they said there is nothing they could do and go through their insurance company. Here it is a month later and still have a hole in my garage ceiling. I guess its no big deal to them since I wasn?t the customer but now I?m having to deal with their BLATANT negligence.
