All My Sons Moving & Storage Reviews (%countItem)

TL;DR Version: All My Sons had one job, to move me out on Friday, 6/30/18. They failed. Miserably. Their first move took way longer than they anticipated and I got screwed and my move had to be moved back to Sunday, 7/1/18. The actual movers who showed up did a good job, however, All My Sons clearly has issues with scheduling.
The Longer Version: On the day of my scheduled move, Friday 6/30/18, I got a call around noon telling me that the first move was taking longer than anticipated but that they were still "planning on" getting me moved that day. Around 3:30pm when I still hadn't heard anything, I called back asking for an update. I was transferred to Ashley F who informed me that instead of keeping me in limbo we should reschedule my move. I took a vacation day, scheduled this move on this particular day, paid the deposit, then they could not deliver on their ONE JOB. To get me moved on 6/30. Ashley did not offer any kind of compensation or discount. Her response was that if I found someone else to move me, they would refund my $100 deposit. Well, it's summer (prime moving season), a holiday weekend. Of course, I could not find anyone else to move me on such short notice. So I rescheduled for Sunday, 7/1/18. Ashley told me I would be the first move and the movers would arrive between 8:30-9:30. Sunday morning rolls around and no movers by 9:30. I call All My Sons but it's Sunday so no one is in until 11 according to their voicemail. I finally get ahold of Brad H who identified himself as someone from corporate. I explained my frustration. He said that on Sunday's the movers don't get started until later but that I was the first move and the movers had been dispatched to my location. I expressed my frustration again and asked for some kind of financial compensation. Brad did offer the off-peak hourly rate, which is something I guess.
Dallas and Dominique were my movers. Dallas was particularly efficient. It was 93 degrees and sunny and they worked hard. I have no complaints about the actual movers. I should also note that the original quote and confirmation for my move included THREE movers. Not two.
Again, All My Sons had one job. To move me on the date that was pre-arranged, Friday 6/30. They could not do that. Luckily I had some flexibility however, I can't imagine what I would have done if I had a tight deadline and no flexibility. I chose All My Sons over another moving company because someone I know used All My Sons last month and had a good experience. I did not. This was by far the worst moving experience I've ever had. I've used several moving company’s over the years and this was a terrible experience. I would not recommend using All My Sons.

READ THIS BEFORE CHOOSING ALL MY SONS!
I initially met with their estimator, Michael B, cell # . He told me we had more items than could be moved in 1 day, so he suggested moving us June 21-22. We had the majority of our items sitting in the garage. He confirmed there would be no problem taking anything at all.
On Thursday, June 21st, nobody had shown up as of 2:30pm. I called the office and spoke with Ashley. She informed me nobody would be coming, and that the entire move would be done Friday, June 22nd. This was completely opposite of what Michael had told us, but she assured us it would get done.
On Friday, June 22nd, the movers showed up around 11:30. They managed to move several boxes and our beds, but didn't touch a single piece of furniture over a 7 hour period. We asked the movers when someone would be coming back. They assured us someone was coming the following day, Saturday, June 23rd. Since nothing had gone as planned up to this point, I called the Columbus office to confirm. I was told on 3 different occasions that someone would call me right back, but nobody did. Finally, at 6pm, I was able to speak with Michael B. He told me nobody was available Saturday, but that I would be the "priority" move Sunday, June 24th.
On Sunday morning I received no call or update of any kind. I started calling every number I had, but the only place that would answer was the main number at corporate. They told me management was going to call the Columbus office to make sure someone called within an hour. After no calls an hour later, I called back. They seemed shocked that nobody had called, and told me they would follow up again. A half hour later, I finally received a text that said I would be hearing from a driver shortly. Nobody called. Finally a truck showed up. I informed the driver, Andrew, that his company had failed to deliver on any promises up to this point. Fortunately, Andrew and his team did an amazing job. They managed to get 80% of the remaining items, including most the furniture. I tipped all 3 crew members $100.
The following day I spoke with Bobbie H management at corporate, about all of the problems I was having with the Columbus office. She assured me she would take care of the issues and make everything right. She even gave me her cell #, , and Michael B cell #, .
A 3rd move day was set up to get the remaining items on June 27th. I specifically requested Andrew again, given the fantastic job he had done prior. Bobbie once again assured me she would make sure this was able to happen.
On Wednesday, June 27th, nobody showed up once again. When I called the Columbus office, they told me I wasn't even on the schedule. I immediately hung up and called Bobbie. She seemed shocked that this happened, and called the Columbus office on my behalf. When she called back, she told me Andrew was in school, and was unavailable. Instead of letting me know, the Columbus office decided to completely remove me from the schedule. She let me know Andrew was available the weekend of June 30th - July 1st, and asked me to pick a day. I chose Saturday, June 30th. She said I would receive a call between 7:30 - 8:00 from the driver, and that my move would begin between 8:00 - 9:30.
On Saturday, June 30th,. once again nobody shows up, and I receive no calls or updates of any kind. I called the Columbus office and spoke with Ashley. She informed me I was not even on the schedule. I immediately hang up and call Bobbie, who seems shocked again that this is happening. She calls the Columbus office, who tells her that Andrew was injured on the job 2 days earlier. Apparently he decided to skip school to work.
All My Sons has been a complete failure. Not once have they apologized, or offered to do anything to make this right. I HAVE BEEN LIED TO BY MICHAEL B MICHAEL B, ASHLEY, BRAD H AND BOBBIE H. Don't make the same mistake I did - choose another company.

I would like to share my bad experience with All My Sons Moving Company. I wanted to hire professional movers as their ad says. I decided to go with 3 movers as they requested at 149 an hour because I had such a large storage unit. They sent 3 young men 2 with no experience and 1 with one month it was a total disaster. I moved just as much furniture as they did. We lost one guy due to hand injury and I still had to pay the 149 an hour. My storage unit is still full and I am out 1,100.00. The guys they sent were extremely nice but I needed movers with experience. I have very nice items and my furniture was stored well in boxes. I finally had to say let's just get the big items and leave all the boxes. I now have to find a new moving company or rent a truck with hope of finding some guys to help. Total waste of money!!!!!

This company not even deserved a star.
I paid $2,500 for moving 5 miles away , they moved half of the furniture and left the ones they moved at my living room.
The person in charge ,Nathaniel no just lied about the price but also lied about the service required. At the end I had to paid for moving not just that amount , I had to hired the next day other people to finish the job. Total price to move $ 3,500.

I dont know where to begin with how bad of a company this is. It was very misleading from the beginning, I would even say dishonest. Our bill was more than double what they estimated. I was told I was getting 2 trucks and 6 men. I got half so the move took twice as long. The movers were horrible, two of the three guys were barely capable of lifting anything heavy. They damaged a lot of our stuff as we discovered later on. When I complained about the bill the service rep would not admit they were wrong. They quit before the job was finished. We were closing the next morning and they left us stranded to finish ourselves. The movers rushed and shoved everything in our garage leaving us in a huge mess for weeks. We still haven't found all of our things. They don't come out to look at the job so don't believe any estimates they give you. They charge by the hour, you are better off with a flat rate quote so there are no surprises.

Backs of my 4 chairs out of 6 were broken. Boxes were crushed and torn and family heirlooms were broken. Disputing their offer of 150.00.
LaVander Montegomery sales person for All My Sons sent out 3 employees (movers)to my home at 313 Capricorn Street, Cedar Hill, TX XXXXX on April 16, 2018. The movers did not bring a sufficient amount of packing materials after trying to charge me a additional 150.00 after that was included in the total price. So my personal blankets and my dogs dirty blankets (that I was throwing out) were used to wrap my TV's. ABF trailer was loaded up and picked up April 17, 2018. Freight bill number XXXXXXXXX and to be delivered to 3384 Wayward Court, Las Vegas, NV XXXXX on April 24, 2018. The trailer was dropped at my home in Vegas by Brock from ABF contact number XXX-XXX-XXXX and I was told by salesperson from All My Sons LaVander Montegomery that his team in Vegas will be unloading the trailer. The morning of April 24, 2018 a out sourced company consisting of 2 girls and 1 guy from ArcBest XXX-XXX-XXXX Destination Service Work Order XXXXXXX came to unload the trailer. Mind you it was 16 linear feet in a 28" trailer. The movers informed us before unloading that our personal items boxes were crushed, torn open, smashed. Michael from ArcBEST noted on receipt damage of several items and also took pictures before they started to unload. After everything was unloaded 4 out of 6 dining room chairs the backs were broken off. The chairs two of them stacked together were just wrapped with plastic to get the idea how my property was treated. Michael called claims department and spoke with Mike at ArcBest and explained all the damage and we would receive a call the next morning. Their contact number XXX-XXX-XXXX. Never received a call. I immediately called LV Montegomery upset about all the damage and told me Debora Andersen AMS Customer Care Team Specialist XXX-XXX-XXXX would contact us. I received a letter from Debora explaining the process to fill out a claim and submit all damages of property and the value amount. I sent pictures of all items, the claim letter with items and their worth and received a letter back with a offer of $150.00 to settle. I will not accept this amount and called Debora to explain why and she was going to get back with me and stated it wasn't AMS who unloaded. So reference number is XXXXXXX. 4 chairs broken, bed frame broken, dresser door, dresser leg broken off, crystal vase shattered. My estimated value of 1500.00. I just want whats owed to us.

Desired Outcome

Refund of 1500.00 to replaced my broken items

All My Sons Moving & Storage Response • Aug 08, 2018

AMS has reviewed the booking and claim submitted by the customer. The claim was received on 5/22/18 and was processed on 5/30/18 with a maximum valuation offer of $150. There was no additional insurance coverage purchased for the move, thus the maximum valuation was extended to the customer. In order to resolve both the claim and the Revdex.com referral, All My Sons has extended an additional offer of 3 times the maximum valuation ($450) to the customer via email on 8/7/18. If the offer is accepted, upon receipt of the executed settlement agreement, payment will be issued in this amount. ***, Claims Manager

Tired of this whole mess

This was my first time working with All My Sons, and I wouldn't wish this experience on anyone. They are definitely a 0/5 stars company. I needed a standard-sized couch moved from the second-story of a home in Arlington to a third-story apartment in Grapevine. I was quoted $159.

The movers arrived late, which is not a surprise, but really- for the first move of the day? I was given a start time between 8:00a-9:00a, and one of the movers called at 8:52a saying they were on their way and were 15 minutes out.

Before signing any paperwork, two of the movers already had my couch down the stairs, but not after damaging one of the walls in my parents' home. No apology was given, just a swift, "Somebody talked to you about our liability, right?" To which I answered, "No." It must be nice to move other people's belongings knowing that you would not be responsible for any damages to homes or furniture.

At this point, I wasn't expecting my couch to fare well. 50 MINUTES later, they arrive at my apartment complex (there was no traffic on any routes to the apartment). I tried not to wince too hard as the same two movers moved my couch up the stairs. I had to pay for a third mover "so they could be insured", and the most the third mover did was place his hand on my couch for five seconds "helping" the other two up the stairs. My couch, of course, suffered minor damage as well- although no acknowledgement was given since the two movers rushed out of the apartment as soon as they could. Then, came the surprise of a lifetime. The third mover told me that my total came to $543. I could not and still can not believe all the fees and charges from this company. I could've bought a brand new couch and had that couch delivered for free!

I will never have All My Sons near any of my property again, and I'm hoping this review can prevent people from making the mistake I made.

Move did not start on schedule. Movers were dirty and taking frequent smoke breaks. One item was damaged beyond repair. Items are also missing as I come to find as months go by. Truck was filled so they left several items on the lawn as they drove away stating they only make 1 trip or I would need to pay more. My personal feeling is the truck was not packed right since this was only a 2 bedroom apartment.

WARNING: Do not be fooled by their up front professionalism. I was and it cost me. I was ,at first, pleasantly surprised with the professionalism, and their attention to detail during my first contact. They made sure they knew exactly what I was moving, down to the box, and gave me a time estimate. They told me the cost/hour for 2 movers, that there was 1 hour additional drive time (30 min to/from warehouse), plus a 14% fuel surcharge. Perfect. That worked out to a cost for my move. I was very comfortable hiring them for my move. On moving day things went very well. They picked up exactly what was on my inventory per my estimate. When we are at the destination, BEFORE they will unload, they hit me with a bill I had to pay right then. The bill was 3X my estimate!! They would not unload unless I paid. The manager on the phone has his script down very well - clearly this in common. "you know...no one quoted you a price. What you were told is just an estimate. You never know how long these things take..." They can say it anyway they like, but they DID quote me a price! It was a lowball to earn business while they fully knew they would get whatever they wanted. My household was held hostage by this unfair, disreputable behavior. I had to pay it. Called the manager right then, he did me a "favor" by reducing it around $100. Still I paid almost 3x the original cost. I called another manager the next day. He said they would look into it and get back to me. Didn't hear anything. I called again, and same story. Nothing. Do NOT use these folks. You will get fleeced.

I will never use this moving company again. They would say that there were going to update me on the progress of my move but I had to repeatedly call them to check. They were unable to get a moving truck to me on my scheduled day and then could not tell me an exact time for when they would arrive the next day. I ended up using a different moving company because they were able to move me that day. I would not recommend this company to anyone. I needed to move and they were unable to help me in any way.

Household items moved from McKinney, TX (April 12, 2018 - delivery date April 14, 2018) resulted in significant damages to personal and antiques.
On April12, 201, movers from All My Sons Moving and Storage, who had been hired by us, arrived to move our items from our house in McKinney, TX to College Station, TX. The move went horribly wrong. This is what we encountered: Mover poorly packed our items (some were subsequently broken), a wall in our home was damaged and they did not won up to it (we discovered the gauge after the movers left). At the tail end of their putting our items in the moving truck we were told that there was not enough room for some items and when we inquired if another truck to be brought for the move they told us that it would not be cost effective. So we had to squeeze as much as possible in our cars but we still left many personal items behind. We also discussed with them what time they would be dropping off the items in College Station, TX and they agreed to be there by 8 AM on April 14, 2018. On the 14th they did not show up until past 2 PM. It was then that we discovered that many of the boxes were not marked with an identification of their contents. This created a huge problem for us to identify what was going in our apartment and what was going in the storage facility. During our move we had color coded all of the items to assist on this task but what we had done was disregarded. We spent many hours identifying where boxes were to be placed. After they left it took us another week and more to fix this mess. It was during this time that we found many items damaged, broken, and in some cases beyond repair. WE have a full list of the damaged items and pictures that can be shared. We question their concern for our household items and our antiques. Most of these cannot be replaced.

Desired Outcome

All My Sons has offered us $500 for the repairs and damages which is less then 1/3 of the value 9$1735.42) that we have put on all that we have lost. We would like full restitution for all that we have lost.

All My Sons Moving & Storage Response • Aug 08, 2018

AMS Customer Care Department has processed a claim for damaged and/or missing items for the customer, with an agreed settlement of $500, based on maximum valuation coverage. No additional insurance had been purchased for this booking. AMS would like to extend an apology to Mr. and Mrs., associated with the damages as well as service issues that may have been experienced.

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
We do not want this to matter to linger on any longer. It should be noted at no time when a representative from AMS come to our house was the subject of additional insurance brought up by him. Also, we believe him when we were told of the care that AMS would take with all of our household items. Obviously we were mislead and we paid the price for it.

Hopefully they will correct their mistakes for the benefit of future customers but at our loss.

Thanks.

I hired All My Sons to help with a move which involved packing the majority of my belongings into a portable storage POD. I hired them based on largely good reviews online. This turned out to be one of the biggest mistakes I have made. I cannot stress enough that this company hires men who though kind are inexperienced and are there just to get your move out of the way as fast as possible. This is largely due to the fact that in order to make the most money, they schedule 2-3 full moves in one day. Any human being would be tired after doing one move. We unfortunately were the second "afternoon" move of the day. The workers not only showed up 2.5 hours late but did not call to inform me they would be late. I ended up having to call several times to make sure someone would even show up. After that, the men showed all my belongings haphazardly into the storage pod without regard to the fact that these pods would be moved. When asked questions or given suggestions, they told me that they do this "all the time" and that "it's just like packing a storage units." They failed to understand that storage units DO NOT move. They threw my baby daughter's crib mattress in without covering it and I had to constantly direct them. After this was all done, we requested that on another day, the company help repack our storage pods to protect the integrity of our belongings due to the inadequate job done the first time. They stated they would send a team and instead not only stood us up (while we were waiting at our location for over 2 hours) but also failed to call us or return numerous calls/messages. This includes not only the local branch we were dealing with but also the so called corporate staff. To add insult to injury, they also erroneously charged us twice for this terrible job and would not help rectify the situation. Their customer service and quality of service are appalling. I sincerely regret ever using this company and want all to be forewarned of what they are getting into.

We hired them and got an estimate of a full home move with four movers. They showed up in the morning with four guys, however one had a back injury and sat in the truck texting all day. We had a safe that we had called to confirm they could move, but when the movers showed up they said they did not have the proper equipment to do it. My husband had to go out and rent the equipment they needed, then because one guy was injured and they were trying to do a four person job with only three people, one of the other guys got injured and had to be taken to the hospital. They ended up grabbing the rest of the furniture and leaving. My husband and I had to go back the next day and fill up our cars and a friends car with the rest of our stuff. On top of everything my husband and brother in law had to jump in and help them unload everything at the new house because there were now only two workers. Not all our furniture assembly was done because the movers had left pieces back at the old house, and our headboard and dresser got two very noticeable gashes in them. When I called *** back at the home office he argued with me for a while, then offered me $200 off (not nearly enough of our $1800 move). He eventually came down to $1400, but I still feel we were very wronged. I will warn everyone to never work with this company!

DISPATCHER CALLED TO CANCEL ON US THE DAY OF OUR MOVE AT THE TIME THEY WERE SCHEDULED TO BE AT OUR HOUSE. (Customer ID #5765154)
I scheduled a move with All My Sons on the recommendation of a co-worker. We scheduled our move 2 months ahead of time. The day before our move, they sent me a standard email confirming our appointment and letting me know that they would be at our home between 8:00-8:30 am on 5/30/2018.
They next morning (5/30) the dispatcher called at 8:31 am to tell us that they wouldn't be able to provide the move, because he couldn't find a driver. He offered no solutions or alternatives and said that there was nothing he could do. The only solution he came up with was calling back an hour and a half later to tell us that he could possibly have a team to us by late afternoon (even though all parties involved knew that we had to be moved out of our home by 3:00 pm that day). This left my husband and me with no option but to frantically call around to see if any moving company could help us that day with no prior notice. Needless to say, we had very little luck finding anyone. The only "company" we finally found was on Craigslist and they turned out to have a myriad of problems of their own.
Suffice to say, my my husband and I spent what should have been an easy-going moving day moving the vast majority of our furniture, boxes, etc. All My Sons did offer to refund our $100 deposit, but we still have not received it as of 6/04/2018. I will NEVER recommend this company and have spent any chance I get telling anyone I meet to do the same.
I should have known better, since All My Sons has amassed so many terrible reviews with many similar stories; AMS in St Louis is even discredited by the Revdex.com who is "urging consumers to use caution when considering doing business with All My Sons Moving & Storage of St. Louis, Inc. Revdex.com has received a pattern of consumer complaints alleging, that goods were lost or damaged during moves, difficulty obtaining refunds or reimbursements, improper billing and that the firm provided poor customer service."
IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING USING THIS COMPANY, I WOULD WARN THAT YOU VERY WELL MAY RECEIVE THE SAME TERRIBLE SERVICE.

I was billed for time not worked, promised a discount to make up for it that wasn't given, then overbilled again when they came out to finish the job.
I contacted All My Sons on May 11 to set up a move for May 20. I was told it'd be a one day job for 3 people. We were in temporary housing and storage while our house was being built and this was close to what another company charged us to move us into the apartment and storage.

On the 19th they confirmed us for a 7:30-8am start on the 20th. On the 20th, they didn't show up until after 9am. The driver they sent did a good job but the other two movers were terrible. Both were new and just stood around while the driver did all the work disassembling our furniture. It got worse when we had everything loaded and made it to our home. One mover ran out of energy and mostly hung around the truck for a few hours before he quit and walked off the job. The other carried one small box at a time off the truck. The driver spent half his time on the phone trying to get additional help. I received a call from Jason, the manager. He apologized and said he had contacted all of his staff and no one was available to replace the worker and they'd have to finish the job another day. He promised to "take care of me", offering to take off the fuel charge (12%) and not charge the travel time (1 hr/day) and a discount. They were booked for the following day (Monday) but promised to be out first thing Tuesday. I told him I'd have to take a day off work and he promised again to take care of me.

Tuesday the 22nd came and I finally heard from them around 8:30. Jason called and asked if he'd promised to come out that day. I told him he had and he told me they'd missed putting it on the schedule but he'd get some guys together. I was promised an arrival time between 11-1. I called them at 1:15 and they promised to have people at the storage unit at 1:45. They finally arrived at almost 2:30 but it was only 2 people.

After they saw the work remaining, they began calling asking for more help and started moving our storage unit into the truck. After about 2 hours, 2 more trucks arrived with 5 more movers. They finished the last 10-15% of the storage unit in about 20 minutes, then stood around talking about their upcoming fishing trip while 2 guys secured the goods in the back of the truck. Then I was told that 4 of them were leaving and only 3 would stay to unload at my house.

I should note that on Tuesday, they didn't bother wrapping most of my wood furniture before loading it. They drug many finished wood items across the concrete unprotected and nearly every wood piece has major scratches. I realize things get damaged during moves (this is the 10th moving company I've dealt with in the past 15 years) but this was pure negligence. They also broke the top of a crib my dad had made when I was born after I had pointed it out as being fragile, them asking me about its history and promising to be extra careful with it.

During the unloading, they failed to put down protective covers on my wood floors, scraping them in a couple places. They were cussing non stop even after my 4-year old arrived.

They started pushing me to let them unload everything into my garage instead of carrying all the boxes upstairs; claiming it'd cut down on time and therefor my cost. After talking with my wife, we decided to pay to have everything moved upstairs anyway. After they left, we found a dozen boxes marked for upstairs along with 2 cabinets and a TV all pushed back into the garage.

Which takes me to my bill. First, they made me sign the bill without showing me how it broke down and they wouldn't finish unloading the last half of the truck until I'd paid.

When I saw my bill, not only had they not given me the promised discount, they'd still charged me fuel and travel time and they billed me for more time than they took.

On Sunday they charged me the total time they were there, including the full rate for 1.5 hours after the guy quit. This resulted in overtime charges including charges for the missing guy. On Tuesday, they charged me for 1.25 hours after they'd left.

Desired Outcome

I want a refund of $1034.43. Here's how I got to that number. $238 travel time that was promised by management to not be charged $248.43 fuel charge that was promised by management to not be charged $258 on Sunday for 1.5 hours labor that was charged for 3 people even after an employee quit; this also caused them to charge overtime rates of $193/hr that wouldn't have been needed if they'd at full staff (calculated at 1 hour OT and .5 hour of regular time) $161 on Tuesday for charging me until 9:15pm when they left at 8pm without taking my stuff upstairs as promised (calculated at 1.25 hours regular rate) $129 (1 hours rate) for the 2 hours they charged me for 3 people on Tuesday while only providing two (yes, they did get 7 people for an hour but they didn't work half that time and even calculating man hours (2 guys for 2 hours, 7 guys for 1 hr, 3 guys for 2.5 hours) I was still billed over an extra 1.5 hours) This is based solely on their overbilling and promised remedies and does not include my time, lost pay, damages to my home and goods, or aggravation.

Thank you for the feedback regarding the relocation performed by All My Sons Moving and Storage. After several months, they have reached out to me and offered me a refund of many of the erroneous charges. At this point, I consider the matter closed.

8 hours late, $300 more than expected, damaged items
They quoted us about $350 for a move from our one-bedroom apartment to 2-story house 15 minutes away. Three days before (when it's too late to change plans), they called and said they thought it would take 3 men, not 2. They said it would be $150 an hour (plus an extra hour for the workers' drive time and a 12% fuel surcharge that I already knew about), but she assured me they could get it done in 2 hours and having 3 men would save us money in the long run.

We booked for Friday morning to avoid rush hour. They called the night before around 8 p.m. to say we would have to be moved to the second move of the day. They wouldn't tell me why. I asked what timeframe I could expect; they refused to say. They couldn't tell me if it would be closer to 10 a.m. or 1 p.m. or 5 p.m., NO idea, no explanation. I started calling them in the late morning, around 11:30. They couldn't even find my reservation at first but then said they'd have someone there by 12:45. At 1 I called back, they said 45 more minutes. This went on for several hours. They assured me the crew was on its way.

Around 2 or 2:30, someone called from the Ft. Worth office. The Dallas crew had bailed completely and they were getting the VIP crew there. That's nice, but keep in mind, we were supposed to move between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m. Obviously now we're creeping up on Friday afternoon rush hour, and they charge for drive time.

The VIP crew showed up and they were nice, albeit 8 hours late. But it took them over two hours (rush hour plus extra time to actually move stuff!) and they charged us for even more time than they were thereso much for "pro-rating by 15 minutes after the first two hours." We ended up paying $650 for this move, and my expensive dresser has a gouge and is scraped all along the top.

I posted a Google review and they clearly didn't even read it because they said "Ft. Worth is a different office." Ft. Worth saved us with the VIP crew. The only complaint against them is the extra time they billed and the damaged dresser. This just shows that they're careless.

Desired Outcome

I want my $300 difference back. I expected to spend about $350 based on the quote they gave up until 3 days prior (which was after they had a deposit). I paid about $650.

AMS has reviewed the booking as well as the complaint filed by the customer. To date, the customer has not contacted our internal claims department to address any damage to furnishings. The customer had an expectation of a 2-hr labor charge for the moving crew, but was billed 2.75 hours. To resolve the issues presented by the customer, we have emailed and extended a refund of .75 hrs in labor and a flat $50 to repair the gouge reported to a dresser. The total amount offered is $161.75. This amount can be sent to the customer upon receipt of the accepted offer and signed settlement agreement. Bobbie ***, Claims Manager

I will consider this resolved IF I actually receive the refund they promised. The refund they promised was satisfactory, but it hasn't been long enough to receive it yet. Can you mark this as pending or leave it as unresolved, and I'll follow up if I receive it?

Hi, the business promised me a refund and now won't return my emails or process my refund. Please help! This is NOT resolved.

Tried to schedule a day for a move on the phone. I asked that they send an email with the verbal information and a confirmation number since they took my credit card number. When I didn't receive an email I called back. He claimed in error he reserved for Chicago and he'd need my number again to reserve in St. Louis and credit Chicago. I held on the line until I received an email. Twenty minutes later they pushed me off the phone when I didn't get an email so he could talk with his Manager. He said he'd call back. Four hours later he didn't come to the phone and the new person said he actually WAS the Manager. I explained to her I wanted a cancellation email from Chicago and a confirmation email for St. Louis. She wanted to transfer me to Chicago to work it out. When I refused without a confirmation number to tell them what it was in regards to she transferred me to yet another Manager who said he'd call St. Louis. I told him to just cancel St. Louis as well and send confirmation that I'd be refunded the $100 for each location in an email. The email I received made no reference of this but just said sorry we couldn't do business. Apparently I was talking to Dallas and not St. Louis or even Chicago. When I tried calling back all of the numbers I was given they blocked my number on every line. Calling my credit card company didn't do much since the transactions were still pending which is ridiculous in itself. You would think if you catch this in time the credit card company can block the transaction. They claim I will receive a credit in 3-5 business days. We shall see.

Scheduled our move out 3 weeks ago for May 27th. They called to confirm two days prior that everything was a go. I got call around 8:30 am yesterday (day we are to move) letting me know that no one was going to be able to move us because no one showed up. They apparently had 8 guys who were to be scheduled and not one showed up, which is what we were told at first. A few minutes go by and he proceeds to say that he actually had 5 guys show up but that they were all doing a move that was going to Texas. Not sure why they couldn?t figure out to split it up and do 3 guys to Texas and send two to our place but that?s besides the point. We had to be out of our apartment and they left us high and dry. Thankfully, Mantels Moving Company saved us and came to the rescue. Two guys who were off work were happy to help us given the situation we were put in thanks to All My Sons moving. The movers mentioned that this happens FREQUENTLY with All My Sons (as you can see on prior reviews) and unfortunately, I should have done better research before scheduling. Mantels Moving took complete care of us even though this urgent situation was caused by All My Sons. This is the first move for us, and most likely more to come and I will never call All My Sons because the day you are moving is not a day to be dealing with a company who is unreliable, doesn?t care about their customers and didn?t try to remedy the situation. We were told that the owner would be calling us today, so I held off on writing my review. That has not happened so at this point I am sharing my review on every platform possible in hopes that another family doesn't have to go through what we went through. Their practices are completely unacceptable and I HIGHLY advise anyone to look elsewhere unless you like being screwed last minute from a company that has proven to continuously do this with no sign of stopping anytime soon.

Buyer- BEWARE!!!!!
I contacted this company in mid May for a planned move towards the end of May (24th). They said we are here to help. I talked with a couple of different people before I talked with Ashley "Sales Manager". I gave them my deposit and was told all is scheduled and set up. They sent a confirmation email to confirm the schedule with step by step preparations.
On May 23rd I contacted them to confirm everything was still on schedule. They gave me there normal catch phase and said absolutely all is a go and they would contact me as the moving crew is on the way. Confirmation email sent from Michael B. All is confirmed moving crew will call you in route, etc.... "Let Our Family Move Yours!"
On May 24th at 750am, Ashley calls and tells me one of the scheduled crew "called off" meaning they would not be showing up. As I pressed for more answers and asked if it can be scheduled for Friday, Ashley proceeds to give more BS about this "call off" person. About trust, commitment to the company blah, blah, blah!!! As I pressed harder for a resolution I got nothing- no offer to reschedule because it could be a month- nothing. I asked for their support is finding another mover. I asked calmly and politely for them to find someone. I gave Ashley 1 hour- in the meantime I started calling companies to replace them. An hour passed and nothing- I called and got passed around a few more times until Ashley was back on the phone- Standard answer all other companies were booked out till June and no one could support. Of course Ashley offered to refund my deposit- still sitting in the banks hands, and I have no moving services.
What the deal? Take my deposit- send me confirmation emails and then call the morning of- "Sorry someone called off" total BS! It obvious that they either got a bigger job or overbooked and left us hanging.
My suggestion pass on this company do not bother listening to their promises and definitely don't give them a deposit!!!
Cant give them ZERO rating but that's the lowest available. Not very likely to recommend is an understatement.

We had a great experience with this company. The quote was very similar to the final price. Nothing was broken, scratched, or dented. They were friendly and very nice people. Would use them again ANYDAY!!
