All My Sons Moving & Storage Reviews (%countItem)

AMS started out with all the right moving information, including brochures with pictures and all they do and training they go through, blah, blah, blah, but DO NOT let that fool you! After they get your deposit, they "go dark"! AND that is NOT the worst of it by a longshot!!
AMS, (*** and Others) make promises they have NO intention of keeping throughout the process. Example: We had very valuable sports memorabilia that they promised were going to be packed individually by a 'Portrait Box Specialist'. That is a complete bald-faced lie! Not only was there NOT a portrait box specialist, but there was not even one competent person on site. AMS showed up on packing day without dollies or the ramps needed to load things on the truck. They didn't have proper boxes or markers to mark the boxes. I ask you, what movers show up with ZERO supplies to do their job? We spent hours organizing our goods and had everything separated for them before they packed. AMS promptly 'threw? things in boxes haphazardly, and as we found out on the receiving end, when delivered, we found disorganized, mixed up, messed up, broken, damaged boxes! AMS loaded boxes that were not marked (due to no markers) which added to the mass chaos and confusion on the receiving end of the job.
AMS was late arriving and we were told it would be a four-hour pack process, which turned into eight hours as they needed to wait for the materials that were missing from the truck. The moving crew was inexperienced, unqualified and unprofessional.
AMS did not put down any protective mats or blankets as shown in the brochure so we had not only damage to our goods, but the homes themselves. AMS also did not wrap large items properly so lots of terrible scratches on surfaces of appliances, frames, holes in our couch and numerous broken dishes, pictures, memorabilia, and glassware.
The valuable sports memorabilia and almost all of our portraits were broken, scratched and unsalvageable. It was absolutely HEARTBREAKING to lose Thousands of Dollars and nostalgic memorabilia only to be offered $400 by AMS as a token gesture due to their poor moving practices!! DISGUSTING! DO NOT FALL for their rhetoric!
We are missing many items and are still finding broken and ruined items.
We have moved eight times and have NEVER had such a horrible experience.
PLEASE LISTEN TO OUR ADVICE'?NEVER USE 'ALL MY SONS MOVING COMPANY? IF YOU CARE AT ALL ABOUT WHAT YOU ARE MOVING!!

After repeated efforts (calls and emails) by us, the client/consumer, AMS has not been in contact with us for the past several weeks.
It is frustrating as they have do not respond to our communication efforts.

AMS and or Claims Specialist have not been in contact with us at all!!! As a matter of fact after more repeated attempts, the Claims Specialist came back with 4 words(this was a few weeks ago) "I have been very ill"- That is strange on many levels. First, that her work load was not delegated to others. Second, that that was her ONLY response. Third, that she NEVER got back to us since that strange response. We are NOT happy with any of this and continue to be EXTREMELY unsatisfied.

Customer Response • Sep 04, 2019

In addition, the response log says AMS (the Business) provided a written offer on July 16, 2019. we have never received an offer from AMS since the initial offer we rejected in mid June.
Their response if false and in accurate. we have heard from no one in customer service or claims for many weeks.

Thank you for the additional feedback. We were able to reach a mutual settlement with our customer as of 9/24/19. The settlement check has already been sent to our customer.

This company is a cheat and a fraud. I had a small move of furniture out of 2 bedrooms with no travel. When I first got my "quote", I let the guy know this move would take less than an hour. He said they charge up to the hour which I agreed to. I then paid him a $200 deposit for a move on two separate days (furniture move to re-carpet some rooms, in and out), $100 for each day. The day of the move, the manager Doug tells me my move has been taken off schedule because I didn't call him back the day before (even though I paid a deposit). He then calls back and says movers are on their way and to confirm this was a small move only with no travel, I say "yes" and okay. The movers show up and do their job (which was actually good), then they precede to tell us they have a 2 hour minimum on moves and we owe $400 on top of the $100 deposit. I had to pay $500 for a 45 min move based on a rule that no one, not corporate, not Doug at the regional McKinney office, bothered to tell me about. When I called corporate to complain of this rule that was not clearly stated in any way, they forwarded me to Doug at that McKinney office. Doug asked if we had signed the contract AFTER the job, I said yes because they finished the job and were done. He said that was our agreement to the 2 hour rule and we were pretty much screwed. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, they are frauds and cheaters.

I requested to have a piano moved. I cancelled the mover because they lied to me, and now they won't return my deposit.
I called a phone number for All My Sons Moving and Storage. I believe I was connected to someone in Texas, although, I am in Florida. I asked if they moved baby grand pianos. I was told, "yes". I asked for a price to move the piano from Boca Raton, FL. to Lake Worth, FL. I was told $564. I was then asked for a $100. deposit, which I gave with my VISA card. A few days later when I was contacted by the moving company regarding the time of the job, the person I spoke to (locally)was Jeff Vaughn. He told me a completely different price than what I had been told and agreed to. He said I was quoted a minimum rate and from there it goes by the hour. No-one had ever mentioned an hourly rate or a minimum to me and I told him so. He said he was going to try to confirm what I had told him and call me back. When he called back, he said that I was not told a flat rate, but an hourly rate. We went back and forth because what he said was not true and of course, he tried to say that I misunderstood, which is not the case, at all. I cancelled the service and requested my $100 deposit back. He said he could not refund the deposit because it was past the 48 hour deadline. I told him that no-one had even mentioned a 24 hour deadline regarding the deposit. He said he could not refund it. I don't believe that this was fair. I had not been told about the actual cost or about their refund "policy". I would like my $100 refunded to me.

Desired Outcome

I would like my $100.00 deposit returned to me from All My Sons Moving and Storage, as I did not use their service, and I cancelled in a timely manner after they tried to scam me.

If I could give less than one star I would! STAY AWAY from this moving company. Use anyone else! Tons of hidden fees. Moved a o e bedroom apartment. Maybe 10 boxes, 1 queen bed and a love seat. $950 when I was quoted $500. Scam artists and should be investigated.

They charged me 1666.87 when I was quoted between $400 to $ 600.00 at most. It took them 8.25 hours to move a living room set, 2 complete bedroom sets, 1 cupboard of Tupperware and 5 Rubbermaid that I had packed myself. The men that did the moving told me if I could get them a cash tip that they would work faster to get the job done faster, so I gave them $50. A piece which I felt was quite brazen of them but I did want to get the job done fast and efficient. They also told me that buying them lunch was standard for most customers, so I complied with that as well. They used excessive packing materials the cupboard that I had them pack was mainly Tupperware and they wrapped each piece in 4 sheets of paper, I asked them not to but they still kept doing it. When they finally finished packing it was approximately 6.5 hours later and my new place was 5 miles from my old place, they asked if I minded if they stopped somewhere to buy a pack of cigarettes, and I'm still thinking I'm spending like $600. So I said yes, then I get to my new place and I waited and waited they were lost in the neighborhood next to mine as I could see their truck driving around. They finally arrived and put my 2 beds together and unhauled my living room set and brought in the boxes and my packed Rubbermaid took them approximately less then an hour to do that. During the entire move they talked incessantly and seemed to be taking far to much time to move what little stuff I had, I feel now that it was a way to get paid more money. I'm absolutely sick about what I paid for this move, I live on a fixed income and this was well above what I could afford and what I was quoted. I have tried to work with the company, I took pictures per their request of the things that were moved I have talked to 3 people in the office, and called a 4 th in the corporate office and no one calls me back. There is so much more that I can detail about the day. My cousin and I moved all my dishes, lamps, pics to save time. I had a male friend move what was left after the move because I didn't want to pay over that $600. There were no appliances. I talked with other local movers after and they told me that should have been a 4 hour move at most. The other company told me that a charge like I was charged would have been a 2 day job with 2 men each day. I feel I was taken advantage of, and I would never recommend this company!

If I could give this company 0 stars, I would without hesitation. After the stress of the move, my husband and I uncovered over $4,000 in damages caused by the All My Sons moving crew who moved us. Now that we have submitted our claim for the damages, we are being offered $300. The local and corporate teams have both been utterly unhelpful and clearly have no regard for their customers once they have received their payment for a job terribly done. Severe damage was done to the walls, floors, doors and trim to both addresses. Our refrigerator was dragged across the hardwood floors at the old address (no blankets or sliders were used to move this), which DENTED the hardwood flooring. The refrigerator was also dragged across the freshly cleaned carpets in the new address, causing a stain over 4 feet long. The dryer was dented severely, caused by the crew trying to shove it into the doorway of the laundry room at the new address. The refrigerator was dented due to them shoving it through a different door way. The front door at the old address was dented severely due to the crew ramming furniture into it. If you are looking for a moving company who actually cares about their customer's before, during and after them collecting your money, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Their claims department also claims to see no damage in the photographs attached. You can see for yourself.

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. If I could give 0 stars I would. We contacted All My Sons to handle our double move (we had about 2 weeks between homes)-old home to storage and then storage to new home.

In the first phase of the move, the movers were leaving our home and meeting us at the storage unit. We waited nearly 2 hours for the movers to arrive at the storage unit. In the second phase of the move, several items were damaged (antique table, ping-pong table, grandmother clock) and quite a few nicks and scratches were made in our brand new home. One of the movers clogged our basement toilet (again...brand new house) by using paper towels instead of asking for toilet paper.

The worst was yet to come. As we started going through our boxes after the movers had left, we realized a box was missing. This box contained over $2,000 worth of electronics (Xbox, many XBox games, XBox controllers, Blu-ray player, external hard drive with irreplaceable pictures on it...and other items). As we continued to unpack, we discovered more items were missing-namely antique clock weights and a printer.

We contacted All My Sons once we knew the items were missing. This started two months of continuous phone calls with my husband talking to what seemed like everyone at the company. And still, nothing was done. This was one of the most frustrating experiences we have ever encountered. In the end, we had to file a claim on our homeowners insurance to recover our losses with All My Sons offering $300 to cover damages to the property. This $300 was only offered after about 3 months of back and forth. Our neighbors also used All My Sons for their move and discovered missing items after the move.

I could go on and on but the moral of the story is look elsewhere for your moving needs.

Horrible experience. Misplaced and damaged belongings. No show for scheduled moving appointments which were pushed back one day without notice. Disrespectful and inept movers. Limited response in claim process. Overcharged for hourly work.

Do yourself a favor and use anybody else. I will never again try to use this worthless company. Absolutely the worst. I had scheduled a move a month ahead of time, 30 mins to the latest time they had quoted me, they cancelled the job stating " 4 of our drivers didn't show up". All they offered were apologies and no solutions. Only offered a 10% discount for the next day move (with no guarantee their drivers will show up). Very apathetic staff to the fact that I know have to stay in a hotel tonight, prolong my UHaul rental, and pay another company for an immediate move price (expensive for anybody, but for a grad student even more so). Clearly there is a larger problem within the company if 4 drivers don't show up for work. NEVER again will this company have my business or anybody else's I can inform. I have informed the Revdex.com as well.

Awful experience. I called to book this company for a move from a 2 bedroom condo to a storage unit 15 minutes away from condo. I had 1 bedroom set, 1 small dining table, boxes, a small futon and exercise bicycle. I admit I had a number of boxes because I packed my items carefully. I was told (as well as the driver by dispatch) that this would be a couple of hours. I was expecting to pay between $400-$700. I got a bill for close to $1100 after 6.5 hours. They charged me $60 for packing supplies and $90 for gas. They refused to move my items into storage until I paid them and I was livid. The movers moved very slow and complained most of the time. I would never use this company again, please dont waste your money, there are better options out there.

The company provided the worst service and responded with even worse customer service in addressing the multiple complaints I had.
I employed All My Sons on May 25, 2019. The movers were over 2 hours late. We were given a window of 10am-2pm; they showed up at 4:21pm. I understand its hard to know how long a prior move will take and things come up unexpectedly, but its worse for your business and reputation to set expectations for a customer and then break them from the start. If y'all were too busy to take our move, then the work should have been declined so we could find a better fit. Time is precious and its not a resource I can get back so I take it very seriously when my time is wasted. Additionally, the movers damaged our TV stand, one of our speakers and our mattress. We were charged for a mattress cover that was then drug on the ground and our mattress was still damaged so the cover was a complete waste of money. The movers, without asking, opened wrapping I had purchased for a work project, and used it to wrap our furniture. I was not reimbursed for this. They also strapped our chest freezer to a dolly and bounced it down the stairs instead of picking it up and carrying it. It was empty and its not heavy, just bulky. My husband and I carried it up our stairs when we first purchased it so I know its possible for two men to carry it down the stairs without issue. My husband told the movers to carry it down the stairs but he was ignored. It doesn't work properly anymore after being bounced down the stairs. The table legs to one of our coffee tables was left on the truck as well. We called 30 minutes after they left to inquire about the legs; at the time, they couldn't find them. Then at midnight that evening, one of the movers called my husband to tell him they found the legs. Calling a customer at midnight is completely unprofessional. Trying to get the legs back to our table, ended up being a frustrating endeavor that resulted in multiple phone calls and my husband having to come up to All My Sons to pick up the legs before work one day. This is beyond bad customer service. In addition to this un-professionalism, during our move, both movers felt compelled to bad mouth each other when the other wasn't around. One of the movers felt compelled to show us pictures of his girlfriend as well. Overall, the movers made us feel very uncomfortable. Additionally, we were given the run-around by All My Sons in order to address our complaints. My husband called multiple times and had to come up to the building twice and received two email addresses to send our complaints to. I had to submit my complaints and claims three times and if I had not been persistent, my claim would not have been reviewed. This is incredibly dodgy and terrible customer service. The reason we chose to hire movers is because I'm pregnant and couldn't assist with heavy lifting. Hiring movers was supposed to provide some relief during this move and instead its been a stressful nightmare. The service we received was not worth the $577 we paid, I requested a full refund and was offered only $90. This is insulting given the treatment we've received. All My Sons has made no strides to apologize for the terrible treatment or provide assurance that their customer service issues would be addressed and rectified.

Desired Outcome

Full refund of $577 from All My Sons.

Thank you for the feedback and the opportunity to respond. AMS apologizes for the service issue and damages. Our customer has been offered an amount for damages to the extent of our legal liability.

Customer Response • Aug 13, 2019

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The amount we were offered doesn't even cover the replacement for one of the items that was damaged. Excellent customer service and better business practices extend beyond legal liability. On AMS's history webpage, it reads "A Tradition of Excellence Guided By Uncompromising Family Values", not "excellence guide by the extent of legal liability." The lack of service my husband and I have received falls far below AMS's mission.

Elderly couple (one disabled) moved from senior facility. Contents arrived late, some missing and some damaged.
Elderly couple moved from Florida to Georgia. Packers finished loading the truck ahead of schedule and arranged an earlier drop off. After the truck departed it was discovered items were not loaded and left. Thankfully, we were able to arrange to have them delivered to the new location. Agreed upon arrival day and time found no truck and no call. After several calls, information was communicated a new day and time. This was missed also. When the truck finally showed up, it was a different driver and different truck. When asked, one person said the driver had personal issues and couldn't complete the job, another said the truck broke down and had to be changed. Several items were heavily damaged and several were missing all together. Specifically, two paintings were missing (one is a signed and numbered serigraph, one is just a personal picture). The other thing missing is an alexa which is not high value. When amazon was called to cancel the subscription, the representative said someone had tried to change the authorization into their name. We asked all my sons to check for the painting, nothing appeared. They are unwilling to make any restitution for the missing items except for the federally mandated amount which will not cover these damages and missing items.
The move was paid with a credit card

Desired Outcome

Fix the damage to the furniture, refund the "missing" alexa and paintings.

Please see additional information received from consumer

My husband and I had a terrible experience, from the movers complaining the entire time to the customer relations experience once we tried to receive compensation for the damaged furniture.

I had All My Son's Moving and Storage move me from Palmetto to Sarasota, and I had the best experience with a moving company that I have ever had! The men were very nice, very fast, and EXTREMELY careful with all of my belongings. The lady in the office, Diana, coordinated my move so well that everything went off without a hitch! Thank you, All My Sons!

Quoted me $400, paid $1,000.Damaged about $6,000 worth of furniture - offered to reimburse me $420. Please see their reviews online. Same story...
Quoted me over the phone to move a 1 bedroom apartment $400.00. When it was all said and done, they made me pay $1,000.00! When I complained, they stated all they could do was lower the fuel surcharge, of 14%, to 4%. Then said "sorry, that is all we are willing to do."
During the move, my 1 year old $700 dresser was damaged beyond repair. My 3 year old $2,000 bookshelves were scratched horribly, and my 1 year old $3,000 mattress was drug across the parking garage and stained and soiled with dirt and oil. When I provided them my receipts and pictures, they gave me the amount of $420.00 that they would pay. Stated that since I had not bought the added cost of insurance, they are only liable for $.60 per pound. Deborah, with whom I dealt, stated that is all they are willing to do and that I was unfortunately out of luck.
If you read the reviews online, which I did after the fact, there are a hundred stories just like mine, with the same problem. Someone has to stop these criminals!!!
Please help!

Desired Outcome

I am seeking to be provided fair compensation for the condition of my furniture that was damaged. As I told them in my claim... $500.00 for cleaning of my mattress $700.00 for a new dresser, which is damaged beyond repair. $1,000.00 for the damage of the bookshelves.

All My Sons Moving & Storage Response • Aug 09, 2019

Thank you for the feedback and the opportunity to respond. AMS apologizes for the damages. Our customer did not elect a replacement value option to cover damages. Our customer has been offered a settlement amount equal to the extent of our legal liability.

The movers showed up to my home without tools. They broke my recliner due to poor moving standards and lack of care or proper moving procedures.
The extremely negligent movers showed up to my home without proper equipment or tools. They handled my home good with zero care, ran up the clock talking on their phones and did not move my items with care. In the process they broke my recliner at the base, resulting in it being unable to sit on without risk of injury. The movers also kept harassing me to provide them drinks and food. What kind of moving company sends movers in the 110 degree weather without water bottles! How is that my responsibility?

Desired Outcome

I am seeking the cost of my chair to be reimbursed as well as moving expenses.

All My Sons Moving & Storage Response • Aug 09, 2019

Thank you for the additional feedback and the opportunity to respond. AMS has agreed to go above and beyond our legal liability and will extend an offer of $200 to our customer. The updated Settlement Agreement will be sent via email to our customer.

Customer Response • Aug 12, 2019

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
After negligent employees broke my chair due to carelessness and lack of proper tools, I plugged my nose and accepted the offer so that I can recover something. In the meantime, I will never do business with this company again. I wish I had read the online reviews prior to using them. Won't make that mistake twice.

AMS has sub-par record-keeping and customer service practices and failed to move my furniture with the care expected from professional movers.
I was offered a moving date (05/10/19) with the option (and guarantee by a manager that he'd add a note in my file so the date (05/11/19) would be available later) to move it, if closing on the sale of my house needed to be delayed. Trusting this, I paid the $100 deposit to secure the date and at this point corrected the addresses from and to, which had been wrongly recorded somehow, after my multiple conversations with people at this company.

I never received a confirmation of this transaction since my email address was also wrongly recorded - this email is where they were going to tell me I could cancel up to 48 hours before the move and get my deposit back, and that there was a 12% surcharge for the move, which was never mentioned before.

A couple days later I called back to try to move the date when the closing of my house got delayed and was told the rate would change due to it being on the weekend, which was never mentioned before, and that I couldn't get my deposit back since we were within 48 hours of the move. Only after this conversation did I correct my email address and receive all this in writing. After a couple calls with the manager, they decided they would honor the rate and move me to Saturday.

I had to sign paperwork for about 10 minutes before they could start - I wrongly assumed this was because they were such a professional company, not because they know they tend to break things and this way they can get away with paying 10% of the value of things.
Plus, we had to call the office twice to get them to update the hourly rate, which was set for a new number, not the correct one, not the 'weekend' one, then again to ask for the surcharge to be 12% like they had said 48 hours before and not 14% like they they had in the documents I was asked to sign. It's almost like they're hoping you won't notice it.

I've moved every year for over 8 years with all the furniture in this move and never have had to sign so many things or experience such poor quality work.

After paying over $1,000 for the move (2 bedrooms/1bath, no stairs) we found that a table had been left behind, hidden, because there was a hole broken into it. My very large mirror, the one thing I specifically asked to be handled with extra precaution was broken, and both of the beds are now not functional, because the slats were removed with such little care that a majority of the plastic holders are broken. I've since had to replace one bed, since it cost just as much to replace the slats/slat-holders and will need to replace the second one.

They request payment before they unload the furniture and over estimated 1.5 hours worth of time to unload the furniture, this was almost a $200 refund that we were owed after and had to call at least three times for them to process the refund.

AMS offered $50 to my request of $350 and has since offered $100 after two months and a few escalations.
To top it all off, they play a song while you hold on the phone that explains how important their customers are to them and "without us, they wouldn't even need this day...," well I beg to differ. If they are not lying intentionally, they do it by having such little regard for the service they are supposed to provide and how they conduct their business.

Desired Outcome

I am requesting $350, which is the cost to replace the mirror. This is a fair and reasonable compromise, given I've also had to spend $100 on one bed and will need to replace a second one and my coffee table.

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
Although Revdex.com makes me agree that I am "completely satisfied" with how the company handled this when I say that I accept, I am not. I am 100% unsatisfied and will never do business with AMS again, but I am upset, tired and insulted, and it is no longer worth my time to keep fighting with irresponsible and untrustworthy businesspeople.
Maybe this is what you bank on and why it took you months to get back to me, because it was me who contacted every level of management I could, unlike you say in your response that you contacted me...
I will sign the paper and will do my best to keep others away from your company.

On April 18th I called All My Sons Moving to schedule a move on May 18th between 12PM and 4PM. I spoke to a lady named Alicia and explained that the movers need to be there between this time frame because I was living in an apartment and paid to have the freight elevator reserved during this time so that we could efficiently move my belongings. I told her I had 2 couches, 1 TV stand, 1 storage dresser, 1 cat litter box furniture, 1 Queen sleigh bed and mattress, 1 chest drawers, 1 dresser without a mirror, 2 night stands, and a computer desk. Alicia quoted me an hourly rate of $119/hour for 2 movers with a service fee of $119. She estimated that it would take 2-3 hours and asked for a $100 deposit which I paid. They said they would call 48 hours before the move date as well as the day of.
48 hours before the move date I never received a call. 4 hours before the move date, I was nervously anticipating a call but decided I would go ahead and call them to confirm. When I called them, they confirmed with me my move and said they were “just getting my paper work together”. The day of the move, I drove to pick up the freight elevator key from my apartment’s leasing office which opened at 10AM. On my way back home I received a call that the movers were 5 minutes away, it was 10:30AM! Luckily I was close by and told them I would be home in 10 minutes, they said ok and that they would quickly run to the gas station as they were thirsty. They got to the apartment at 10:45AM and brought them to my apartment to show them what I needed moved. We went back to their truck to sign required paperwork and then the 2 movers spent 20 minutes in their truck looking for their moving equipment – dollies and tape. Finally we headed back to my apartment to get started. During the entire moving process the two men argued with each other and inefficiently started to move items. At times one mover would disappear for 30 minutes and when I would leave the other mover in my apartment to check on the mover, I would find him hanging out around the moving truck. It was an endless game of me babysitting and watching where the movers were. They did not move items together, causing damage to my belongings. When it came time to take apart the queen sleigh bed, they “didn’t know if they had tools in the truck”. Extremely frustrated and not wanting to pay for them to waste any more of my time, I told them not to worry and that I would call my boyfriend to bring tools over for them to take apart the bed. My boyfriend came over to the apartment with wrenches and took apart the bed himself. He even started moving furniture for them as it had already been 2 hours since they arrived. I headed to the house they were moving the furniture to and my boyfriend stayed back with the movers to essentially babysit and help them move. The movers left at 1:30PM to the new location and my boyfriend headed to the apartment leasing office to return the freight elevator key.
The distance between the moving locations is 16 miles and takes 20 minutes to drive. The movers arrived at 2:30PM. It took them an entire hour! My boyfriend made it back before them. When they arrived, they spent 15 minutes looking for their credit card reader and in the end decided they couldn’t find it and called their manager for help. The manager told me I had to give my credit information over the phone otherwise they would not unload my belongings. I had no choice but to give them my credit card information over the phone. I asked them to e-mail me a copy of my receipt. When I saw that my belongings were not placed in the truck but thrown in the truck, I captured a quick photo. They had my couch leaning against my headboard in a way that the pressure could easily snap the legs. The movers did not use blankets to wrap my furniture, instead they had taped my drawers shut and thrown them in the truck. The two movers individually started to move my belongings. When the other wasn’t around they made snarky comments to me about the other mover. One would complain that the other was too slow and the other mover would complain the other was too fast and wasn’t being careful. They were disrespectful to each other and to me. When I asked them to turn my couch so that it was facing the TV they both shook their heads and rolled their eyes at my request. They did not put all of my belongings where I asked them to put it and rolled their dolly up my carpeted stairs, scuffing up the walls and getting the carpet dirty. At least I could repaint the walls and clean the carpet. While one mover was moving my chest dresser, he ripped my laminate flooring. When confronted, he said “you can submit a claim”. Not only did they rip my flooring, they dented the wall at one corner, again I received the response of “you can submit a claim”. Eventually all my belongings were out of their truck and somewhere in my house and the movers left. Once they left I called their manager, Jason, to explain the horrible experience and the excessive time spent traveling between the two locations. He asked that I send him photos of the damage to his cell phone and that he would look up the moving truck’s GPS tracking to investigate the extra 40 minutes of travel time. When he followed back up with me he told me it was a summer rental truck and that it didn’t have GPS tracking in it but that he would “ask the movers about the situation”. I had not heard from Jason about the damage photos I had sent him so I called him back on May 20th. He acknowledged receiving the photos and told me to call corporate claims form. I immediately called corporate claims at 11:30AM that day and they said they would send me the claims form. By 12:30PM I had not received the claims form so I followed up with them and also asked for my itemized receipt that I still had not received from the day the movers left. They sent me my receipt immediately but not a claims form. After reviewing my receipt and saw that I was charged for materials the movers did not use, such as a mirror box, I knew I had to take actions into my own hands. I decided to call my credit card company and dispute the claims.
My experience with All My Sons has been nothing short of a nightmare and I hope nobody else has to deal with them like I have. My floors are ruined and my walls and furniture are damaged.

Charged four times over what was quoted
On 5/30/2019 I called 4 different moving companies to receive costs of moving a 4bedroom house locally. After talking w/Micah,my moving specialist,he quoted me $149 hr for a 3man crew in a 26ft truck. I asked if that would be a big enough truck for a 4bedroom house. We itemized the items to be moved and he assured me it would be more than adequate to move me.He estimated 6-8hours for the complete job at a price of $1300.00 for the 3man crew. Now a 4man crew could do it faster and he quoted me 4men, $179.00 hr but only 4-5 hrs for the total move would be $1020.00 including an 1hour fee to get the truck to my house and then back to their base. A $100.00 deposit is required & would be deducted from the final price. We booked the 4man crew at $1020. & I gave him a card for the deposit which was charged that same day.Next Chris called from All My Sons Movers He was my move coordinator. He said they were licensed, insured, bonded and have been in the business 30 years.Chris & I reviewed the contents to be moved, the 12 mile distance of the move, the size of the crew and that the 26 ft truck would be large enough for what we had and the price.Weeks before the move I called Chris to change date of the move one day later due to closing issues. No problem just let him know if anything else needed to be adjusted. No mention of any changes from All My Sons or the deal we had.Moving day & the truck arrives with just a driver. The crew is on the way.Only 2men show up giving me a crew of 3 instead of 4 like promised. The driver told me I would be billed the 3man crew rate but the time savings of 4men would not be.The rate I ended up paying for was the 4man rate.I was told because I moved the day.Chris never said anything about this but Chris had assured me 4men would be here.I had to sign papers and they would expect full payment when the truck got to the new house, then he wanted me to know that gratuity is accepted for all three of them.We had packed boxes & staged boxes in the living room & the garage. The rest was furniture & everything we had itemized with them twice before the move. It became apparent that as they loaded, one truck was not going to move us as I had been assured several times.Upon arriving at the move to location the driver wanted payment before unloading. What was supposed to be $1020.00 minus the $100.00 deposit already paid, I was charged 1683.49. $763.49 above quote.I either paid it or they left w/my possessions.Once the truck was unloaded they went back to the move from location. After they left I left to meet them to open the house. This time they were to load from the alley driveway.I watched Them drive past the exit and waited for a good 30 minutes for them to show. They refused to park and unload in the alley which would have been much easier & quicker.Once he arrived he wanted more money before he would unload. He wanted to charge for an additional 4hrs to bring the total cost to $2235.52.They unloaded slowly, moving only a single box or 2 empty small drawers per trip. The helpers worked hard.My wife & I helped unload the truck and we finished 1hr & a half sooner then he billed me for so he said I had a refund of $459.00 that would post to my account.I have contacted All My Sons Moving 7 times to get this worked out.7/3/19 @ 11:19 amlength of 4seconds 7/3/19 @ 11:21 am, length 10 minutes Spoke w/Chris my moving coordinator. He took notes & said I needed to talk to the GM William G & he was on vacation. He would be back the next week.7/10/19 @ 1:01pm, length 15.52I spoke with Justin. I told him I was told to call back and speak to William about the charges. He told me William was still on vacation so he said he would connect me w/someone else who could help because William was not who I needed to talk to.Chris got on the phone I reminded him we had already talked so he was sending an email to Vic D who is in charge 7/17/19 12:12 pmJustin answered & said he was calling Vic to call me. No one has called me ever

Desired Outcome

I never received the $459.00 credit. I never received the $100 deposit deduction I was told would be taken off the final bill. They billed me $1683.49 for the first trip. They charged me an additional $2235.52 for the second trip, not bringing the $1683.49 to the $2235.52. I was billed at the higher 4 man crew rate instead of the 3 man crew that showed up. I was not allowed any compensation for the time I would have saved if 4 men did come. I had to rent a *** the next day to finish what they didn't move for an additional $88.50. My total $1020.00 move actually cost me $4007.51 to move 12 miles. The average cost to move a 4 bedroom locally is $1492.00. To move a 4 bedroom house 1000 miles, the average is $2105.00 according to *** moving cost calculator. I was billed by All My Sons Moving Company and official movers of the ***, enough to have moved across country, not 12 miles.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
There are several factors to note in response to All My Sons Moving (AMS). The refund of $459.00 charged for time they never used, was promised the day of the move. It was promised then and does not remedy the situation. It would have been fraud to charge us for that so the refund is a cosmetic disguise of retribution.
We have not moved in over 30 years and turned our trust to the professionals that do this every day. According to Chris from AMS, "we have 30 years of experience and are licensed and insured". They assured is that 4 man crew would take 4 to 5 hours at 179.00 per hour plus add an hour for travel to/from our house for a total charge of $1020.00 and needed a $100.00 deposit. We paid the deposit so 920.00 was due to move us.
Only 2 movers and a driver showed and obviously took longer to move us than a 4 man crew we contracted for would have. We were charged the 4 man crew rate of 179.00 per hour and for the extended time required for 3 of them to almost do the move. Not the 3 man rate (if you count the driver) of 149.00 an hour.
Upon arriving at the new house on the first trip, the driver increased the charge from 1020.00 to 1683.49 or they leave with our belongings. After the second trip, the driver told us we would have to pay a total of 2235.52 for the move, or they take our belongings. Instead he charged us an ADDITIONAL 2235.52 on top of the 1683.49; making the second trip 40% more than the first trip. It was only supposed to be a one trip move according to the professionals at AMS.
We were systematically conned out of a lot of money and would only like to pay what is appropriate for the move. We have tried tirelessly to speak to someone in charge at All My Sons to come to an agreement on the final cost. 4 times the original quote is not acceptable. They moved us 12 miles, not across the country. The move took longer because they did not provide what they promised and once the move started we were stuck with agreeing to their prices or not having any belongings. The driver was holding our possessions hostage every time he demanded our signature. In addition we had to rent a *** to finish the move.

Main office out of Dallas worker Todd said time stops after the last item on truck is unloaded.
He sends a truck out of Killeen, Tx for a south Austin, Tx move to Stafford, Tx. Yes, it was an estimate, but if you been in business this long, you shouldn't be off by over a thousand dollars! Charged me from 9am until 12am the next day, because NOW I'm told I have to pay for truck get back to Killeen. Why they send me a truck out of Killeen? My former place or new place is not near Killeen. Crooks. Bait and switch. I had to pay for travel time back to Killeen! Never again.

All My Sons Moving & Storage Response • Jul 24, 2019

Ms. was quoted round trip travel from Austin to Stafford, plus labor and a fuel surcharge. According to the GPS on the truck that moved her, we started charging her when we got to her home in Austin. We charged her for the same amount of travel that we charged going there, to come back.
We charged exactly what we quoted over the phone as it pertains to travel charges and labor charges and fuel charges.
