Absolutely NEVER use this company. I am shocked by the treatment we've received. I booked our move over a month in advance and talked with the folks at All My Sons several times between booking and our move date. The Saturday morning of our move, after they were supposed to have already arrived, I get a call from them saying one of their guys has a hurt foot that "didn't get better" so they don't have a crew for us - but they think one of the crews should be able to come in the afternoon. They say they'll call us as soon as they know for sure. Almost two hours later, I've heard nothing so I call to see whats going on. The guy who answers - who I believe is actually the owner of this location- says, "Oh yea, it's not going to happen today" and tells me the soonest they can get someone out there would be TWO DAYS LATER on Monday. I never hear anything that even resembles an apology. I'm basically told that's the way it is, nothing we can do.
I call every moving company I can find in Portland. Everyone I talk to at the other companies is kinder and more empathetic than the people at All My Sons. They try really hard to think of a solution for me even though they're all booked up. Finally someone at another company recommends I rent a UHaul and try to hire a labor-only company because they would be the only ones with availability at the last minute. So we hired Oregon Trail Movers and they were kind, communicative, and helpful.
Today I called the All My Sons "Customer Care" line to report this experience because I typically try to give companies the chance to rectify a situation before I write negative reviews. Once again I was met with cold, short responses and received NO APOLOGY. The woman I speak to is rude and unhelpful and made excuses for the other employees being rude and unhelpful. After I spend ten minutes explaining the entire situation she tells me to go fill out a form online to give my feedback. I told her I had just given my feedback to her and that's why I called the Customer Care line. She told me she didn't deal with things like that, she just helps with scheduled moves.
I understand that accidents or emergencies can happen, but the absolute lack of care or concern with which we were treated is totally unacceptable. It also sounded like they knew this crew member was hurt in advance and were just hoping he'd be better in time to move us, rather than preparing with an extra crew member just in case or letting us know ahead of time. After reading the other reviews where customers had a similar experience, I'm not even sure I believe a crew member was actually hurt, I think they just overbooked. Never, ever use this company. Call someone else.
Quoted 3 movers, only provided 2. Quoted move time was 6 hours, it took 11. Charged for 68 gallons of fuel, used 9. Deceitful website advertising
We were quoted a 3-man crew for the move at $139/hr ($46/person). We received a 2-man crew and was charged $199/hr ($59.5/hr) $13.50 more per hour for less efficient work. We were quoted an estimated move time of 5-6 hours, the total time was over 11 hours. We were charged over $200 for fuel for a trip that was 45 miles long. Estimating 5 mpg and current diesel rate of $3.25, the trip used 9 gallons of gas - we were charged for over 68 gallons! All my sons website states that their movers are quick and efficient and that the move will stick to my timeline and budget. these claims cannot be further from the truth. The move took twice as long as expected (not quick or efficient), and it cost twice as much (not sticking to my budget). I feel that their quote was a bait and switch tactic used to get us to sign up for service and then on the day of service we did not receive the services that were quoted or agreed upon. I also feel that their website is using deceitful tactics in order to claim that they do one thing while in reality they do the complete opposite. I have spoken with several people at All my sons and have note receive good customer service at all. Even though their website states that they have high customer service, they don't seem to care. Joe, the manager on duty, agreed with all my statements about being upset, but didn't seem to care about doing anything about the situation. He just wanted to pass me off to the customer care department. When he transferred me to them, the lady said she couldn't help me since all they do is handle claims on damaged items. All in all, this moving company did not stick to their word or agreed upon services, rates, customer service.
I am seeking that they charge me correctly for the services I received. For $139 per hour on a move quoted 6 hours should cost $834 in labor, i was charged $1353.62. i am seeking a credit back in the amount of $519 for labor charges. i was charged 14% for fuel, but if the labor was $519 less, the fuel charge should be reduced as well. The movers took 3 hours to drive 45 miles, this is a bit excessive, so I am seeking this trip charge to be reduced to reflect this. All in all, I am seeking a credit adjustment of $709 to reflect the services that were quoted and agreed upon prior to the move.
Thank you for the opportunity to respond and for the feedback. I personally apologize that our customer was not satisfied with the charges. Our branch office spoke verbally with our customer on 11/12/19 in detail regarding the charges and following the conversation, an email was sent to our customer detailing the same information. Following the move, our branch office offered a credit to our customer that was declined. After calling our Customer Care Department, our customer was offered an increase to the initial offer but has yet to accept.
Charged fuel surcharge plus additional travel fee that was not communicated to me when I booked.
I called AMS on 11/14/19 to inquire about a move on 11/21/19 from Plantation to Davie. I was told the rate was $149/hour for 3 men with a 2 hour minimum-taking travel time into consideration, an 18% fuel surcharge and that packing supplies would be supplied if I NEEDED and I would be charged for usage. I made it clear I did not need packing supplies as everything would be packed when the movers arrived. When the movers arrived they said they were not allowed to load furniture on truck with out wrapping it...only to find out that they charged me for EVERY PIECE OF TAPE AND PADDED BLANKET used. The movers took 4 hours and 15 minutes between loading items, traveling and offloading items in storage. On top of the 4 hours and 15 minutes I knew I had to pay they said I had to pay a MANDATORY $149 flat travel fee that was not communicated to me prior (only the fuel surcharge was). I was then told that my items could not be taken off the truck until payment was made so in that instance I had no choice but to make payment. Then to top it off the movers happened to leave a rolling cart at both locations we stopped at and I had to spend time driving around with them to re-collect the items they left behind. When my husband called to ask for a manager and complain about the lack of communication of fees he was told that a manager had to be contacted and they would call back. He never got a call back so I myself called in and had the unpleasant experience of speaking with Cody "the manager". She is nasty and unprofessional and offered me a $27 credit for packing materials and told me that she wasn't giving me anything else and then hung up on me. Told her I was going to dispute charges with my credit card and she said "good luck". I feel robbed and their lack of business etiquette made the experience that much more miserable.
Refund for $150 travel
Will reach out to customer and resolve issue
I was told by their employees the electronics were covered 100 percent. They broke my TVs and will not pay
I had a move scheduled from Carrollton to Fort Worth. I was quoted 500 dollars and it ended up being 1000. They charged me for materials they did not use and they were unwilling to work with me. In addition to this, their employees assured me electronics were covered 100 percent. I took this knowledge and did not purchase third party insurance. Long story short, they shattered 2 of my TVs. I did not touch them. They packed it themselves and they completely shattered them. They offered me 100 dollars for TVs that are 1500 plus a piece. Their employees lied to me and they are unwilling to work with me as well as dismissive. I can't get anyone to return my calls or emails. Stay far far away from this place. They are deceptive and unhelpful.
I want them to honor what their employees told me and reimburse me for the items they broke under negligence.
Thank you for the feedback and opportunity to respond. I am unable to locate our customer by the information the consumer has provided. If our customer could provide the phone number associated with the move or the AMS account number, AMS will be glad to review our customer's issues.
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
There has not yet been a resolution. The phone number would either be XXXXXXXXXX or XXXXXXXXXX. The claim id is XXXXXXX

If I could leave zero starts I would. I had this company move me into my new home I had booked them for the afternoon they did not show up until almost 4 PM. once that arrived they smoked cigarettes and played with my dogs instead of moving anything, I had to get on them several times to get back to work. I kept having to repeat myself on which items they needed to grab as they kept standing around and asking if they were done. after about 2 hours of them standing around I told them to leave and head to my new house as I was upset at the fact they had only grabbed 5 items in that time. as we were leaving they told me they were going to grab a drink and snack at the gas station and head to the new house I told them that was fine and they assured me it was only going to take 10 mins, wrong 2 hours later they show up to the house and demanded payment before they took my few items off at this point I am upset I was told that they charged by the hour which I was fine with they lied to me and said that we would not be charged for packing material and I was they tacked on all these other charges and tried to charge me 1200.00 for 2 hours of work my boyfriend had to argue with the person on the phone about the amount for another few hours at this point I tell them just get it in the house and I will put the furniture in the rooms myself I leave my boyfriend in charge as no I alone had to now start the long process of packing my house that I just paid this company to do by myself since they were too incompetent to do so when I get back I find all the furniture has been placed in the garage im furious it took me several weeks just to find things in the garage and I found they had broken my TV, a dresser, and left boxes of garbage just plan garbage in my garage from their truck. I have contacted the company about the broken items and have not gotten a response back yet. don't use them this is the worse company ever
I wish we could rate them a zero. They called the day that they were supposed to pick up our things from our house and told us that they could not come. They ended up coming the day we were closing on our house, and the buyer almost backed out because of this. I packed up all the small things into boxes and placed them in a storage facility a little bit each day a month before the move to make their life easier. All they had to do was pick up those boxes, which were all ready packed up, then get the big furniture from the house. They told us that they were going to place our belongings in their secure storage facility for a week and then bring all the items to our new house. They knew how much stuff we had, but packed the truck very poorly and inefficiently. In fact so inefficiently that after they picked up the big items from out house, they went to get the small things from our storage facility and called us and told us that it would not all fit on their truck, which was probably too small in the first place, but if they would have packed it properly should have been able to get it all in. They unloaded some things into their storage facility, then came back for the other things. Then they left all the items in the truck that they picked up second all week and did not put it in their secure storage facility. Then on the day that they were supposed to bring us our things, they called us 2 hours after they were suppose to be there and said they could only get half the stuff on the truck. They then came back the next day with the rest of our stuff. After it was all said and done they damaged about $3,000 of our things, including out TV, bookshelves, crib, all but one lamp shade, and other things, on a move that cost us $3,000 in the first place. They only offered us almost $200 for the damages. We could have moved ourselves for about $1,000, but are now out $6,000 instead and they don't care enough to even call us back. Please do not use All My Son's, you have been warned. This is only the tip of our iceberg of what has been the most awful experience of my life in dealing with a company.
Don't walk way from this company RUN RUN RUN as fast as you can!!! $300 was stolen out of my purse while they were supposed to be packing me up to move! And they had to hunt for it in my purse it wasn't just staring at them to take it was inside an envelope inside a pouch inside my purse!! My purse was lying beside my Bed closed when they left to go to lunch at Noon I reached into my purse for medicine and double checked the cash was there and it was gone! They also rifled through ALL of my belongings my bills a briefcase that was in the closet ALL TRUE!!! I called the Police because they left for lunch with 80% of everything I own on the truck. When I called the local Operations Manager to discuss the discovery he was rude and indignant!! The way I was spoken to was appalling!! When the truck returned they THREW my belongings in my Living Room when I asked what my recourse was if anything was damaged The answer was 60 cents a pound file a claim that was it. I will be posting photos of what my living room looks like after they DUMPED my belongings on the return AFTER stealing 300 from me
(AMS MOVING & STORAGE OF ST. LOUIS, INC.) DON'T USE! If you are in to reading horror stories, keep reading but to keep it simple, DON'T USE!
I'm like many others. I wish I had read the online reviews and the Revdex.com.org complaints against this company before putting my trust in them. I hired them in August and paid the deposit on August 16 to secure a reservation for my move on August 29. I let them know that I had until 5:00 p.m. the day of my move to be out of the home I was selling. No problem I was told. I called on August 28th to make sure I was still on the schedule and that everything would be smooth. I was given a thumbs up.
I closed on both houses the morning of the 29th and was ready to move out of one and into another. My daughter waited at the house to greet the movers in the event they showed up before I was back from closing. I got home around 11:00 a.m. and no movers. I called and was told they were running a bit behind but that they'd be there. I reinforced the fact that I had until 5:00 p.m. to be out and was told that should not be a problem. After countless calls to them and no resolution in sight, I finally had to make the decision to rent a UHaul and put out a desperate plea for help from friends to help me move.
Let it be known that at no time did All My Sons call me to let me know the status of their crew (other than a driver called me to let me know they had truck trouble and wouldn't be out, but I was later told that he called the wrong customer). I had to start calling the call center because the local office stopped answering my calls. Even the call center operator told me that she would transfer me because they would see her number and they would pick up. She was right.
My realtor called the company to check the status because we had to sign new contracts with the buyer extending my move out time. My realtor was told that they were on their way to my house and in fact, someone had just passed that information on to me. LIES! They were never on their way and no one EVER called me. I called them back and asked why they would unashamedly lie and I was told that he didn't know why and that the person who said that was a salesman, not even someone who dispatches the drivers.
I called AMS to let them know that I was granted an extension until 11:00 p.m. to move out and was told that the crew would still be able to get to me. HOWEVER, when I prodded for more information, I was told that their crews had to stop working at 8:00 p.m. So, given the time that I called and the ETA of the crew, I asked if by chance the crew was able to get to my house by 6:00 p.m. and move a 3 bedroom home w/basement and garage storage and unload it into the new home was a reality (knowing full well that it wasn?t). I asked then if they do by some miracle get everything loaded into the truck in less than 2 hours, what time would my things be delivered the next morning? To my horror, I was told that's not how it works. They had a schedule already set up for the next day and I would have to wait until they had time to bring my stuff, but couldn't tell me when that would be. So my thought was you have my stuff on the truck, why would you unload it to move someone else, then reload my stuff?? I reminded him that I was on the schedule but I was pushed back so why would it be any different than pushing back the next day's schedule?
This company is horribly run. The operation is unprofessional. They are unreliable. Chris is unremorseful, heartless and could not care less of your situation. They have no desire to please the customer. How they remain in business is a mystery (and I later found out that they have done this same thing to 3 other individuals in my office alone).
I was refunded my deposit but honestly, that isn't enough. The anxiety caused by this company's unprofessional practices was worth more than the refund of the $200 deposit I paid. Not to mention, many of my items were broken during the eventual move because my friends are not professional movers and we had to move so fast because we were on a shortened timeframe. I hired ?professional? movers for peace of mind. All I got was a kick in the face.
If I can save even one family from the emotional rollercoaster and anxiety I endured, it's worth it. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY EVER. EVER!
Very deceptive. Called All My Sons Moving and received a quote for $125/hr with a 2 hr minimum. Ok. Then on confirmation call of appt just two days prior, was told there would be an extra $125 for driving time. I'm in Pflugerville, and they are based in pflugerville. They are less than 3 miles from my house. But insisted that an hour drive time was required, because, "Maybe they'll need to stop for gas."
I was quoted a cost of $250 for two hours and I paid in advance. But they refused to honor the initial quote, and only offered to refund my money.
This is dishonest in the extreme to wait just days before the appt to then jack the cost. Beware.
All My Sons broke many pieces of my furniture and lost other pieces. It has been two months and they still haven't returned the lost items or compensated us for the broken items. They misquoted by more than $500. They won't return calls and even though we went by their office to turn in pictures and paperwork they still haven't done anything.
The absolute worst moving company ever with 0% guarantee. We were quoted a price to move and it changed during our move and we were put in a bind to where we couldn?t tell the moving company ?no?. They were suppose to move us May 6th, however had to postpone it because they had too many people call out due to Cinco De Mayo. The day they did move us we were begged for tips and our stuff was left in the garage due to how long it took them to move us. They have the worse customer service. During the move we had furniture damaged, walls and floors scratched and dinged up. I will never recommend them to anyone. I feel sorry for anyone who uses them. I have never dealt with a worse company and again the customer service was awful. They at one point said we were miss quoted by a Visual Estimator; how is that my fault, the company clearly hired her to do a job....WAIT it is not my fault if they did not teach her to do her job correctly. I would have thought a move from Atlanta to Senoia would not have been that complicated. We did what we were told to do by the moving company, All My Sons Moving did not. It was the WORST experience ever!!!! The crazy thing is after being a day late, they were late on our moving day (day 1 and day 2) they took longer moving our stuff than we were told, they charged us more than what we were quoted in the process of our move, despite them delaying our move and ruining our furniture and walls in our house, they left our furniture in the garage over night, they hit walls in our house, scratched up walls in our house and they banged up our furniture....they still continued to ask us for tips the whole time, in the process of providing the worse customer service and ruining our furniture and losing parts to a bed of ours....Seriosuly, the WORST!!!!!
They completely ruined by moving experience. I should have been excited about moving into my beautiful new home and starting a new chapter, but couldn?t be due to the HORRIBLE ALL MY SONS MOVING & STORAGE. DO NOT EVER HIRE THEM!!!!!
My biggest regret is choosing All My Sons Moving & Storage. They are liars, thieves and should not be trusted with your money or furniture. The amount of heartache and stress that this company caused should be illegal.
When I called All My Sons on Wednesday, I told them everything I'd be moving and how far I'd be going. They said the hourly rate was $109 & there was a two hour minimum, but he said that two hours should be about the time it would take to move my belongings with two movers to the storage unit that was located .2 miles away from my apartment. Feeling confident about a two hour move & about a $250 expense, I scheduled for Saturday morning.
The next morning I received a call confirming the appointment & explanation of all expenses. That's when I was told that there would be an additional one hour charge at a rate of $109 for the movers travel time and a 14% charge for fuel. I was really angry because I was not told about the additional travel charges when I booked the reservation and put down a deposit. I expressed my frustration and told them that they should have been transparent with me up front. I was not angry about the travel charges because I think they are fair - I should have just been told in the beginning. They finally offered me a 7% discount on the move and I was fine with it.
Then, Saturday comes and I experience my living ***.
The movers started at 8:45 am and were great to work with but were extremely slow. On their phone, chit chatting and taking their time. It took them FIVE HOURS to fill the truck. All of my stuff was packed ahead, all they had to do was disassemble my bed and transport everything to the truck. When I moved myself in with my dad & boyfriend, it took us about four hours total with WAY MORE belongings.
FYI: My belongings consisted of a queen size bed (frame + mattress), a desk, a breakfast table with four stools, four additional stools, a nightstand, a tv, two mirrors, four large boxes and one small box. That's it.
Also - the mover accidentally spilled an entire cup of coffee on my mattress. Under normal circumstances this would be something that I wouldn't be angry about because it was an accident, but after spending a fortune on this move, I think I have the right to be angry about this as well.
We finally make it to the storage facility at 2 pm. A two minute drive down the street. They asked me to to pay the final price before they took everything off the truck and the price was around $1,060. WHAT?!
They explained that was the price including the travel charges, packing materials, the hours they spent filling the truck, plus 3 1/2 estimated hours for unloading the truck into the storage unit. They said whatever time that wasn't spent moving in the estimated 3 1/2 hours would be refunded to me. I expected it would take an hour at most for the process, so the movers put me on the phone with someone in the office & I asked if I could just pay the final charge at the end, and they told me no I had to pay before they'd take it off the truck.
They finally agreed that they would change the estimate & I ended up being charged around $760. Because I'm arguing with them about the price for so long, at this point it was 2:20 & if the time got past 2:45, I'd be charged another hour. I asked the movers to unload everything onto the sidewalk & my boyfriend & I would put everything in the elevator to the third floor of the facility where my unit was & finish the job. They got everything off the truck so fast that there was time for them to help us pack the things into the elevator & they finished by 2:40. So 20 minutes it took them to unload and help put things on the elevator. If we had their help moving the things down the hallway into the storage unit, the entire unloading process would have been about 45 minutes total. I know that because my boyfriend and I finished the move ourselves and it only took us about 20 minutes from the elevator to the unit. Proof of how slow they were moving in the beginning.
They also never asked if they could use packing materials in advance. I actually have all of those supplies that I could have given them to use instead had I known they needed them.
In the end, my total expense was almost $900. I expressed my frustrations with Joseph *** & I blame him for my awful experience. He acted like I should have expected the thousand dollar cost, although when we spoke on Thursday I told him I was expecting this to be about a $400 move TOTAL. If he was honest, he would have stopped me then & told me not to expect a $400 charge because he knew it would be MUCH more. The way he spoke to me on Saturday was unprofessional & proved to me what an indecent human he is. I wish I would have recorded the call for evidence.
TLDR; I was completely mislead about how much this would cost and I had to finish the move MYSELF. DO NOT USE ALL MY SONS
Took a gross advantage of the service and over charged and sent three movers one of which was not working due to health issues he voiced.
I called All My Son's Moving and told them I need movers for a move out of my 2 bedroom townhouse to a home in Kaufman, Tx. 46.2 miles away. I explained that I had pushed 90% of all furniture out the living room, and that I had boxed everything else and put in the garage. I said that way they can pull up front load furniture then pull down alley and load boxes. there is literally 12 steps from my front door to the street. 1500 sq.ft. townhouse one story. I offered to send pictures so they could see the amount of items to be moved. He told me he did not need them. Said it would be a quick and easy move. I expressed that I had very difficult buyers and needed to be moved out asap on the 29th of October as they wanted keys to my townhouse at closing. He assured me it would be a quick and easy move and that he himself had moved a lot and knew how stressful it is. He told me he would send 3 guys for the move. The only additional request I made was that I had antiques and please bring blankets.
On the morning of the 29th the movers arrived. 3 guys showed up. The lead guy had me esign a bunch of documents on a hand held devise. When I showed them my garage and they could just pull right up to it, they said it would be easier to go through the house. Little did I know we would be tripping over each other and slowing the process down. One guy did nothing and complained he had COPD ( Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease ) and asthma. He did nothing to help and I am not sure while he was ever assigned to work. I caught him sitting around trying to catch his breath. The other 2 guys proceeded to SLOWLY move things. they spent more time trying to decide what to take next then actually moving things out. It was frustrating. I had to leave to go to a closing the second half of the day. My son stayed to keep an eye on things. I assumed they would surly be headed to the new house by now. But no where even close. my realtor called the company on my behalf and told them we were concerned because it has been taking so long and now the guys had managed to be over 8 hours. the supervisor at the company said they could not go over and would have to leave with what they had on the truck. They did not get to the new house until 9pm, and took another 5 hours to unload. things were thrown in the house at this point. We called the company and second time and said when is this going to stop. The 2 guys doing the moving kept telling us another hour. My realtor and friend went out to pay them and he did not realize what they had charged for but it was roughly 3000.00 dollars for a move that should have never been more than 6 hours. They take gross advantage of hourly rate by taking the absolute longest time to move a 2 bedoom town house. basically like an apartment. I have never been more angry at a company who I trusted to take care of me and by items. I called the company and complained giving all the details, and the guy I talked to said he would have the manager call me back. He did not. I called again next day and talked to another employee who took all my information and said he would have the head guy call me back in five minutes. Never happen. I called a third time and went around and around with someone who had to keep checking with the head guy decision maker, and never put him on the phone, he just kept telling me would the head guy told him. Basically they said they would only refund me 340.00 of a 3000.00 move. This is unacceptable. I told them I should have never been charged more than half of that.
Because I was grossly over charged for incompetent workers and taken advantage of hourly charges. Was paid for by my Chase bank card. Even the people I talked to at All My Sons agreed with me, but 340.00 refund is not acceptable for this. I could have moved across country for the amount.
Thank you for the opportunity to respond. I personally wish to apologize that our customer was not satisfied with the service received. The branch office that handled the move for our customer has issued a credit to our customer for charge related to the employee that did not perform to the level of expectation.
My initial experience was very positive as the Salesperson and the Operations person that I spoke to were very friendly. The movers arrived on time and were also friendly and hardworking. Unfortunately, when they were unloading some of our furniture into our new house they severely scratched our wood floors and damaged a dresser. I showed the movers the damage and they apologized and told me that I needed to file a claim and their insurance company would take care of it. Now, this is where everything has gone completely wrong. I have been working with their insurance area for months and have not been able to reach a satisfactory resolution. I have provided everything that they requested ( photos, estimates for repair (over $***)). Guess what they offered me? Initially it was $*** then it was $***. Really??? You would think that they would be trying to resolve this in a quick and fair manner but instead they are trying to play games and low ball me with the hope that I will go away. Now, the insurance specialist,Krystal N, that has been handling my claim will not return my phone calls or emails. Unfortunately, I think I am going to need to engage my attorney in order to get a satisfactory resolution.
If I could give them no stars I would. I had the worst experience with this moving company and I suggest NO ONE use them to help with a move. The rate that I was quoted was a complete misrepresentation of what they actually tried to charge me. That is bad business all around. I was told that we would be first on the move for the day we scheduled and they called with some made up story stating they would get to us by noon. I was also advised they would stay in contact with me to let me know the status of our movers. THIS NEVER HAPPENED!! I repeatedly had to contact them for updates and it was only after my husband went to their office that we were told the movers would be there after 2pm. They didn't arrive until 245pm for a scheduled 8am move. It took them forever to move mostly boxes and once they finished they didn't come straight to our new place. We waited an additional 2hours for them to arrive with our belongings!! By the time they arrived it was 645pm - after being inconvenienced they tried to charge us $800 for the move and the movers broke the glass to one of my tables. Not only did they lie about not having the glass top they stated they never had it. They are not in the business of doing honest work and I strongly advise against using their services. They'll only gauge you for extra money and not provide you with the service promised. DO NOT USE THEM!!!
THIS IS THE WORST MOVING COMPANY EVER! I MOVED 1 SMALL BEDROOM, A COUCH AND CHAIR, AND A WASHER AND DRYER - TO A 20 MINUTE DRIVE AND THEY CHARGED ME $240! THEY DAMAGED THE HEADBOARD ON THE BED- A BEDROOM SUITE THAT IS ONLY 6 MONTHS OLD WITHOUT A MARK ON IT! THEY BROKE A BRAND NEW OVERFLOW PAN UNDER MY WASHER, AND THEY SCRATCHED THE WALL FROM BOTTOM OF THE STAIRS TO THE TOP! BEN- THE GENERAL MANAGER YELLED AT ME ON THE PHONE WHEN I CALLED TO REPORT THE DAMAGE, HE IS AN ABSOLUTE *** AND HAS NO BUSINESS BEING IN CUSTOMER SERVICE! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! IT'S AWFUL! IF I COULD LEAVE ZERO STARS OR A NEGATIVE STAR I WOULD!
On October 25th, 2019 we moved locations from Rock Hill SC to Charlotte NC. A 20 minute move down the highway. The moving company was contacted, gave us a $410 quote, and took a $100 deposit for the quote and to lock in services. On the day of the move the team arrived on time and quickly went to work. I cannot speak highly enough of the moving team. However we began to worry when 2 hours into our 3 hour quote timeframe they had not finished up at the previous location. The move, which was quoted at 3 hours, with 3 movers, even though the receptionist had all the details, took over 6 hours. Our initial quote of $410 ended up being over $800, a 45% markup. The company then proceeded to ignore initial request for contact via email. Once we finally got ahold of them via phone, we were told they do not even offer quoting by an employee named Effrin. This is blatantly false. The company has done nothing to remediate the situation. Take your business elsewhere.
The gentlemen that answered the phones to give quote were polite, and the movers were polite. However, they were later than I was told, they didn't have any packing supplies for kitchen so used every sheet and towel from my linen closet to wrap things (which I now have to rewash) and packed things haphazardly. There were items broken, damaged and spilled in the boxes. Some tables were scratched. There wasn't any organization at all. I reached out to office to discuss issues where an "i'm sorry" was given, and a claim number in case I wanted to file a claim. I received an email asking "how my move went" and replied to that email with concerns and still have not even gotten an acknowledgment to that. I give credit where it's due and am not one to complain about everything just to try and get something free. Needless to say, I got little and it's wasn't free. I wish I had read review prior, but was in a time crunch, so I guess I shouldn't be surprised.
Over billed. Unfair business practices.
All My Sons Movers quoted a price for me on Tuesday. The Manager siad it would cost me $199 per hour if I had the movers arrive in the evening, so I told him I wanted them show up sooner. The price I was quoted was $129 per hour. He said I would be putting down a deposit of $100 which would be applied to my final bill. I was charged $200, instead. And my final bill totaled $758, but they kept the $200 deposit. So, I really paid $958! The movers arrived at 11:15 am, but took 15 minutes to actually park the truck. The move went smoothly and I helped. It took 4 hours total. (11:30 am to 3:30 pm) They overcharged me for packaging tape and blankets which I had both for them. They overcharged me for the time they spent actually moving my belongings (which took less than 4 hours). They overcharged me for the mileage. This company is untrustworthy. They didn't reimburse my deposit and overcharged me left and right! They shouldn't be in business.
Don't rip people off!

Need more information for consumer, such as the name that the move was under, phone number, email, city and state , some means to contact to discuss resolution to the complaint
Beware if you use this service, they charge by the hour. My crew took 5 hours to pack up 2 beds, a dresser, a nightstand, 2 small end tables, a buffet, TV, bar cart and some outdoor chairs. They spent their time wrapping items for a move that was one mile away. My total bill was $1100. The next day, they moved my daughter from the home and that crew didn't wrap anything, so I feel like I was taken advantage of and basically don't know what the crews are supposed to be doing because neither did the same thing. Additionally, my dresser and footboard are damaged so I have to file a claim for that.
