Fantastic service! Sales reached out the day before the move to confirm the schedule and set expectations the day of the move. The movers, Marcus F and Mico, arrived on time and were very professional. They packed and moved everything with great care. During the move process, I received a call from All My Sons just to make sure everything was going smoothly. I can't remember the last time I received such exceptional service. Can't say enough great things about Marcus F, Mico, and the entire organization!!
Initially, when I was given a quote for my move, I was told $500-600, with packing included, for my one-bedroom apartment. I put down $100, so this brought down my move to $400-500. I was told that I would need to pay for only the packing supplies that I used and time for the move. When the movers packed my apartment and we arrived to the new apartment, the bill was over $1700. The gas alone was over $200 and my new apartment was less than 7 miles away from my old apartment. I was then told that they would not move my couch into my apartment because the elevator was too short and they refused to go up the stairs because they were too narrow (we measured and they were wider than the stairs from the old apartment-I have photos). This was not in the contract. I called their office and let them know the movers refused to move the couch and they said they would speak with them and handle the matter and that did not happen. They also refused to take another large piece of furniture up the stairs, so now those pieces of furniture are in their storage, until I can find and pay someone else to move them. I originally chose this company because I got SUCH GREAT SERVICE from the Baton Rouge location. This is NOT what I received from this location.
Product_Or_Service: moving
Order_Number: XXXXX
Account_Number: n/a
Other (requires explanation) I would like to only be charged from the 7 hours of time that the movers worked, up until they decided to not move the couch. I appreciate them helping me move my things, but I do not appreciate having to hire another company to and finish what they refused to do. I also do not being lied to about the cost. The quote was vastly different from the actual amount. I am a teacher, so I budgeted a little more what I was told the amount would be. To get a bill that was over $1700 for moving a one-bedroom apartment borders on being a scam. Thank you.
Thank you for the feedback and the opportunity to respond. I personally apologize that our customer felt the service was not as anticipated. The branch office that handled our customer's move has applied a credit to our customer's credit card on file.
This was a tragedy for me to use this company! They are nice people to your face but really liars and thieves! I needed to move and they were the 1st company who said they were available on the date I needed so I paid $100 deposit to move on 10/9. On that date Chris called to say the truck broke down and changed to 10/11 @ 7:30a, but no show so I called numerous time thru the day & was given different times they would move me. When I finally told them I would make another arrangement they were able to show up @ 3:30pm. As they were loading the truck they told me they would be unable to put the charge on my credit card that the deposit was on because their system was down and I would have to pay cash, did I remember what the estimate for my move was? I didn't say, but it was $541. Then ask if I need to stop at the ATM? At the end of the move they charged me $843. not deduction the deposit or giving me a receipt so I wrote out a receipt and made them sign it. Next morning I called the office for an explaination and was told my move should have been $576. I WAS SCAMMED! Mike told me he would looke into the situation and call back. NO call back so I called back and told him I was going to make a police report. Suddenly he was able to get Chris real fast & Chris told me he would talk to the guys and get back to me and then called and said they admitted to it. Chris would get $800 back to me the next day. Next day came and no call from Chris so I called him and he said he wouldl bring it on his way home from work. He waited until 7p and dark and came and had me find him out in my driveway and swiftly counted out money from an envelope and left $346. $576minut $100 deposit + $346 =$822 not $843 and all these people put me thru. BAD NEWS people!
MOVERS STOLE MY JEWELRY. I should have read all these reviews before contracting with All My Sons. I, too, am a victim of the worst movers ever. They damaged or broke more items that I can count. But the real kicker is the stolen jewelry. I was robbed when my back was turned. Five (5) rings are missing. Gold, silver and diamond rings were taken right from my jewelry armoire. The movers were in and out of every room in the house simultaneously. The theft could have occurred at any time. When we finished emptying the house, the movers were to meet me at a storage unit 1 mile from my home. I left the movers with the truck and went to the storage unit. Thirty (30) minutes later, they showed up with the truck. It doesn?t take 30 minutes to drive 1 mile. They had 30 minutes completely alone with all my belongings. Plenty of time to go through the jewelry, undisturbed, and pick out the best pieces. Believe me, they did. I am working with the police to recover my jewelry. I am completely dissatisfied with All My Sons Movers and would never recommend this company.
Was quoted under $600 for 3-hour move of a 2-bedroom duplex, under 30 miles away and was charged $1053 plus $100 deposit.
I spoke with Ally, who I later found out had only been with the company 3-4 days when she gave me the quote. She asked me some questions about how many large items I would be moving and if I had any special items. I told her what I had, and she said that the move should take about 3 hours and 3 men at $149 an hour. She then asked for $100 deposit and I told her I would pay the next day as I wanted to shop around for a better price. She called me the next day about the deposit and I told her I was planning to go with Bellhops because they gave me a better rate. At that point, Ally began to aggressively sell AMS service. I told her that I didn't want to pay over $600 for a move from XXXXX to XXXXX and she promised that it would not reach that amount. As a gift for staying with them, she said that she would "throw in" the wrap and other things for free and would send their best guys out for the move. I was sold and paid the deposit. On moving day, the three guys showed up around 8am and began to look around my place. I and my three sons went outside to give them some room to move around. Ten minutes later, I walked back in and could smell a foul smell coming from the bathroom. I noticed that both of my bathroom doors were closed, and it appeared that two movers were defecating in my bathrooms at the same time. I was very disgusted but didn't say anything because I just wanted them to get started so that I can move out.
About 45 minutes after they arrived, things began to move around. I left many things behind and had to make 3, 25-mile trips because I was told the rest of my things wouldn't fit. When I went back to my place, I noticed that Jesse did not flush my toilet. Once we made it my destination, Devontae handed me a tablet with a $1053 bill on it. I couldn't believe it since I was promised a bill below $600 by Ally. I cried uncontrollably as this amount was far beyond my budget. The guys then told me that this is typical and happens every day, since the quotes are very misleading. Carlos called me and I begin to explain the situation to him, and he was very inconsiderate and facetious about the situation. He told me that the time that we were on the phone was going against the time that the guys must unload the truck and that I would be charged more if they went over. While telling him that the situation was very unfair, Carlos hung up the phone in my face, called one of the guys who was standing next to me and told him to drive off with my belongings. I was very disappointed and couldn't help but cry. This was the worst moving experience imaginable and I would like something done about this.
I would like the $600 or less that I was promised by their customer service agent Ally honored. I would have never went with them if i'd known it would cost me this much and also having to deal with the movers defecating in my bathrooms before moving anything should be considered.
Thank you for the feedback and an opportunity to respond. We wish to apologize that our customer did not receive the service as anticipated. Our Resolution Specialist is currently working with our customer to reach a satisfactory agreement.
(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
Spoke with their Resolutions Specialist Corena Edans who was very, very helpful. She resolved this issue promptly and stayed in touch with me throughout the entire process. She was a pleasure to work with.
AMS charged me $3,162 to move 3 miles. Promised 5 professional movers and 2 trucks. Overcharged, multiple damages, unresponsive to filed claim.
Deposit of $1,000 to secure "5 professional movers and 2 trucks". 5 very young, inexperienced individuals and 1 truck arrived. Total charge was $3,162. One of the outrageous charges was $312.58 to move 3 miles?! I have very large solid wood furniture. Was told I would "be provided extra care with 5 professional movers and 2 trucks". There were only a handful of blankets. They wrapped large heavy furniture in "plastic wrap" with NO padding. Multiple damaged items thousands of dollars. They did not provide any documentation until AFTER they started the move, and I had to ask for it. Hiding the fact that, a) they would only reimburse based on weight and b) they expect the client to file a claim based on weight of an item. In the claim form they say they will come and review the damage. They also ask for the value of the furniture (which is deceptive in making the client think they will be reasonably reimbursed). They also ask for the weight with no clarity on that is the basis of the reimbursement. I just guessed the weight (having no idea what it actually weights) I filed the claim. NO one contacted me to evaluate the damage. I received a letter saying they would pay ~$500 for thousands of dollars of damage. I tried 3 separate times to contact them (3 - 4 individuals each time) to have them come out and evaluate the damage for a more realistic compensation. They have not responded to any attempts to contact them. In the last e-mail I offered them to reimburse me $2,500 for the damages to close the claim. Again, no response.
Fair reimbursement for damages: min. $2,500
Thank you for the opportunity to respond and for the feedback. I apologize for the damage our customer's household goods during the move. The loss has been processed according to our legal liability as of 7/15/19. To date, the customer has not accepted the offer.
This moving company is absolutely awful. My grandfather was moving out of our house and used All My Sons. Five movers came to do the job. 3 of them spent most of the time "packing the garage" while mostly just hanging out and talking. They put a huge gouge in my kitchen floor and scratches around the rest of the house and my grandfather's house when they unloaded. They also tore off a piece of my baseboard. They laid down runners but did not use them at either house. They didn't keep important pieces of furniture together making it more difficult to put everything back together at my grandfather's new house. They even tried leaving before the pieces of his bed were found and assembled.
I had called the local office 2 days in advance to see if they would move my bedroom furniture from upstairs to downstairs while they were here and was told they would, as they were being paid by the hour they would do any moving we asked them to do. When we asked them to do it we were told they weren't allowed to do that but they would for 125$ cash. Then they didn't move everything and my husband ended up having to do it. They left quite a few items behind that we ended up having to bring over to my grandfather's house ourselves.
I am very disappointed in this company and the movers.
OVERCHARGED & RIDICULOUS CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!
We hired "All my Sons" company on Sept 17, 2019, for moving our stuff from the storage unit to our apartment. The total distance between the storage unit and apartment was only 3 miles!!!
No furniture, no piano, not heavy stuff. We were given an estimate of 2.0 to 2.5 hours and ended up charging for more than 5 hours. They asked for credit card information before moving the stuff, and the customer is stuck paying them else our stuff will not be moved. We were promised a total of $300-$350, and they charged us a total of $620.73
We called them several times and asked for a refund for the extra charges, and a manager by the name Jeremy told us that we would be charged a total to $350, and remaining will be credited back to our credit card. It has been three (3) weeks, and they have not done anything. We were duped.
Please read other reviews of this company on Revdex.com.org; It seems this is their 'standard practice,' i.e. they overcharge, then promise to refund and DO NOT HONOR.
This is a serious issue with this company. Due to their horrible business practices, customers are forced to contact Revdex.com.org for mediation.
To resolve this issue:
1. This company should refund me: $270.73 as they promised (620.XX-XXX=270.73)
2. Since there was a delay and waste of time and efforts contacting this company (Several times) without them doing what they actually promised, they should reimburse the total amount of $620.73 as a penalty.
Thank You.
Sincerely,
***

1. This company should refund me: $270.73 as they promised (620.XX-XXX=270.73) to my visa card ending in 4769. 2. Thank you for the feedback and opportunity to respond. I apologize for the misunderstanding regarding the charges. Our customer did not receive a binding quote. All charges were gone over verbally with our customer on 9/13/19 and a follow up email was also sent to our customer outlining the same information on 9/13/19. Our branch did remove the travel time, materials and fuel surcharge from our customer's account. The move consisted of a two man crew. Loading from a 1 story storage to a 3 story (all stairs/no elevator) apartment.
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Contrary to the company claims, we expect the company to pay us the fair amount, as mentioned in the original complaint.
These are just some excuses given by this company. Read the reviews; this is what they have done over and over.
We are in contact with local news stations and other complaint avenues like:
TX State Attorney General
www.fmcsa.dot.gov (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) INVESTIGATION UNIT of the govt.
Consumeraffairs.com
Ripoffreport.com
We feel we are victims of a rip-off, scam, and duped by this company. They hold you hostage with your stuff in their truck until you pay what THEY think is required to move.
We are very serious about these complaints and will not back off until everything is paid-up, to us.
Sincerely.
Thank you for the additional feedback. All details of the charges including the hourly rate, travel time, fuel surcharge and materials were gone over verbally with the customer on 9/13/19 and a follow up email detailing the above information was also sent to the customer on 9/13/19. AMS does not quote a flat rate move as labor is billed hourly. Move times cannot be guaranteed and as previously noted, the move went from a 2 story level apartment to a three story level apartment with stairs and no elevator.
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
These are just excuses. All my sons have duped us and many others. This company promised us refund and have not honored it. Hence, now we are demanding FULL REFUND for the move.
Note: we are in process of contacting the previously mentioned authorities. The scam of this company must be brought in public light.
NEED FULL REFUND ASAP!
There is no other way to put it. A RIP OFF. NEVER EVER WILL I USE THEM AGAIN. SCAMMERS. I am 56 years old and have lived in several states which mean I have used several movers. This is the ONLY time that I have ever made a complaint or written a bad review on any company. At first I thought I was having a nightmare, then realized it wasn't a dream. They quoted me a low price over the phone and then charged me almost double. I had no choice but to pay it or lose my furniture.
These people know how to steal your money, the most dishonest company we have ever dealt with so far. They quoted us over the phone in a very tricky way, hiding extra charges and confusing ways to present prices. My husband asked specifically How much will be the total charges, because we don't want surprises at the end and the guy quoted us $650 - $850 for 1 bedroom apartment and a garage that took 2 hours and 20 minutes to load and 2 hours to unload, plus transit time of 65 miles.
!
Right before the unload, one of the guys ask you to complete the payment and that was when the unwanted SURPRISE came up ... $1,601.00!!!! We immediately call the company and Lawrence as he identified himself not only was extremely rude but threatened my husband to keep our stuff and charge more for storage if we don't pay the invoice. He said it was 8 hours of work at $139/ hour it came out by our math to $1,112.00 that left a difference of $489 for tape and blankets??
We were not only arguing the price but the Huge difference between the original quote and what at the end we were force to pay.. they just quote you vaguely to hook you up and at the end you just get these words instead of a reasonable explanation.
PAY OR WE LEAVE WITH YOUR STUF
If you've read some of the reviews on here, you probably have already made up your mind there are better, more reliable movers. But let me convince you if you you're still not sure.
Never, ever, EVER, EVER use All My Sons Moving. Here's my experience...
A) They sent 3 guys and a truck and still couldn't manage to move a 1468 sq foot house. They said my bill was $1240 after 5 hours, and they had not even touched my garage. They said it would cost me another $700 (??) to finish. The lady who booked my move implied it would take just 3 hours and the movers were "very fast". No. They aren't.
B) There was one thing of value in my dresser (new Airpods in the box), and they are missing. Just one thing of value. And its gone.
C) They HID (like children??) a 6 month-old 60 inch flat screen TV they damaged in an out of the way closet, unpacked, facing the wall. They managed to scratch the ENTIRE length of the screen. Then they managed to punch a giant spiderweb crack into the middle of the screen. Its like they did it on purpose, I swear. It's like they keyed my TV, then fast-pitched a baseball into the middle of it. Then they hid it. Like children. After they promised to pack it up professionally and take care of it.
D) When I called to ask about the price, I told Mickey in the Denton office I was going to give them a chance to make it write before I posted this review on multiple sites, multiple times to make sure people knew how bad they were. Mickey said he would talk to his supervisor Zach. No call back from Mickey. When I called Zach, he immediately dismissed my concerns and it was clear he was not going to help at all. I called Customer Care and asked for Zach's boss. All they kept saying is "you filled out a claim form for the TV, you don't need to speak to Zach's boss. They hung up on me. I finally called a different All My Sons regional office and they gave me Vic *** (sic) name - he apparently is some sort of regional VP. He was more concerned I had a heated exchange with his employee Zach than addressing their horrible job. He said he would call me back at the end of the day. No call back from Vic. THIS COMPANY DOES NOT CARE. Look at the reviews. They couldn't care less.
E) The movers themselves said that their people are horrible at estimating jobs and it causes them problems all the time. Then they offered to come out the next day and help move the rest for a cheaper price if I rented my own UHaul. That's the kind of operation they're running there. Guess what - never heard from them again, too.
F) As in the grade I'm giving this company. You had ONE job. Move my stuff. Move stuff from a house that is not much bigger than many apartments. Move it quickly, move it without damaging or stealing anything. Move it for a fair price, like the many other companies are able to do in the Metroplex. Instead, you don't finish the job, you don't address customer complaints, I haven't heard a single thing about my claim for the TV, and I had to pay one of your competitors (AB Moving) $400 to finish my move. An they did it perfectly. PERFECTLY.
I'll update this review if they ever pay my claim for the TV. But I'm not holding my breath. Reading some of these other reviews, I can tell that All My Sons Moving decided that as long as they can overcharge people, they'll stay profitable no matter how many bad reviews are written about them.
Folks, business doesn't work that way. Bad reviews has a ratchet effect. Pretty soon enough of them pile up such that NO ONE wants to use your service. Pretty soon the short money you went for today won't outlast the long money you're going to lose tomorrow.
Pretty soon, All My Sons Moving will be just another cautionary tale about a business who didn't care, and then lost any chance of redeeming themselves to the communities they serve. They'll be out of business, and people like Mickey and Zach and Vic *** will be out of a job.
(Atlanta) Every negative review you read below is true. UNPROFESSIONAL HACKS. Don't be fooled by the cozy pictures on their website; if you choose to use this company be prepared for THE WORST MOVING EXPERIENCE of your life. I hired All My Sons a couple of days ago to simply move 6 items 2.9 miles. They were to take a king-size mattress to a 3rd-floor bedroom and donate a sofa and area rug. Simple, but here's what actually happened. They falsified the start time at the pickup. I watched them pass my subdivision entrance at the destination and waited 20 minutes for them to return. They also sat in the truck cab smoking cigarettes and watching videos on their phone, all on "my time". Upon arrival at the destination, I noticed nothing was wrapped in blankets and nothing was tied-down. It was all thrown-in, pieces sitting on top of each other, wood on wood. They mangled a small wood file cabinet to the point of the corners smashed and the sides splitting apart. I noticed this because I saw items of my paperwork in the street! They hid the file cabinet in the office, closed the door, and then claimed they knew nothing about it when confronted. They completely mangled my king-size mattress by "rolling and shoving" it up the first flight of stairs. They had no equipment, no experience, and argued and bickered between themselves the whole time. It took them 45 minutes to achieve this! After taking a break, then claimed my "time was up" (3 hours) and that I would have to pay more to continue. When I refused (noting all of the above), they vacated the house and left, leaving me with a mangled, destroyed lump of king-size mattress in the middle of my living room to deal with. Before they left, they threw the donated sofa and carpet in the middle of my driveway. This no doubt made a great first impression on my new, soon-to-meet neighbors. Instead of these useful items going to a charitable cause, they were left for me to drag into the garage and deal with. I am a senior citizen, which is why I needed movers to handle this mattress. What I ended up with was their hack job, had to purchase a new mattress (after sleeping on the floor for two nights), and an additional payment to another mover to pickup the sofa and rug for donation (I highly recommend *** for their professionalism)! In spite of talking to a manager at All My Sons (Atlanta) and sending them pictures and emails, I have heard nothing back from them. Nothing I contracted them for was completed and whole experience cost me thousands of dollars. DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE!
This moving company is AWFUL! They take money from you even if the movers aren't actually working or if you don't use packing materials. I had a move that should've taken 3 hours (maybe) and took 5 1/2. I know this because when I moved in the job only took 1 1/2!! I had already packed everything, disassembled my furniture and was even HELPING THEM by carrying down boxes and bags.
I will say I had one out of my two movers who was amazing, Christian. Did his very best to keep the job moving as quickly as he could, but his partner was taking his sweet time carrying or really doing any work!
I was charged over $400 over my quoted price online AND when I called to ask why it was so much the manager just kept giving me BS reasons why the job was going to stay the price it is.
I already lost them a customer because she booked with them, but after this experience I told her to stay far far away from this company.
DONT USE ALL MY SONS! Save yourself some money and use ANYBODY ELSE! Ridiculous!
Do not use this company, especially the Richmond/Mechanicsville office!! I hired this company to move my items from my house to an apartment. The salesman spoke highly of the company and they hired professional movers. The estimate I was given was not what I was made to pay to get my items. The guys arrived at my house late. They did not know how to pull up my order so that wasted time. I did a walk through with them and they still did not get things right. I even wrote on the boxes what was going to storage and what was going to the apartment. They still could not get things right. The guys did not know how to pack the truck so my things were thrown everywhere. I purchased boxes for them to pack my televisions and they did not know how to use them even though the salesman said they were "professional movers." They finally pack the truck at 2:30pm and say they will meet me at the first location. 3:30pm I do not see or hear from them. I call at 4pm and they say they are looking for a weigh station. 5pm I call again and I get the same story. I call the company and ask for an explanation and I'm told they have to weigh the truck so they will know how much to charge. 6pm I call again and get the same story. 7:30pm the supervisor called to say they were on the way. I tell him the storage facility closed at 9pm, I don't know where they are, nor how long it will take to unpack the truck. A one day move has now turned into a two-day event. The second day I'm called at 11am saying they canned find a driver and once they do they will be there. The crew finally gets there at 2:30pm. They open the truck and my items begin to fall out the truck onto the ground. I end up with three TVs (55" & two 65") broken, box spring ripped, entertainment center destroyed, bookshelves broken, boxes destroyed, antiques destroyed, dining room table damaged, and a damaged storage unit door damaged. The so-called "professional mover" did not know how to pack a storage unit and got the door stuck. Had to hire a contractor to get the door opened. They requested a claim form to be completed only for them to offer me $*** for damages!! I declined because they didn’t provide how they came up with the offer amount. They sent a second amount of $***, but again no explanation. This company is a scam!! They admit their employees are at fault but do not want to pay!! I am now out of *** of dollars (the cost of the move) and all the money to replace my items and have another company to repack the storage unit correctly. The customer service manager has yet to respond after multiple calls and emails to the company. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY WITH THIS COMPANY!!!!
Our experience with All My Sons Moving was horrible. The bad experience started with a changing assessment of the time the truck would arrive; ultimately, it arrived early with little notice before we were completely ready and with more people than were specified.
Then as the young men (who did work hard and were very polite, the only positive part of the experience) proceeded to load up the truck, they were not trained well enough and did not pay close attention to the written and verbal instructions about fragile boxes; these were stacked precariously and some eventually fell right in front of us, breaking some wine glasses, mugs, and a priceless glass piece. We later claimed a relatively small and very reasonable (if not low-balled) amount for these items to which the company offered to reimburse about three times less than we asked.
I had to sign on an electronic pad that was hard to sign on and read because it was broken. Furthermore, the amount of paperwork was absurd. I got so annoyed with this that I felt like I just wanted to give up on them and call someone else. Unfortunately there was no time for this. I used another company for unloading in a different state and their paperwork was not remotely close to what All My Sons required (and that turned out to be much cheaper for the same work).
The bill I received after the fact included additional charges for a ridiculous amount of multiple moving items that we did not even use. A small amount of one packing item was used but we were explicitly told they opted to do this and that we would not be charged. Thankfully upon contacting them, these charges were removed from the bill.
I would never use this company again and would encourage anyone else to seek out different moving companies.

All My Son's Moving company treats you like family when they pick up the phone or call you back regarding a recent contact request. Unfortunately, that's where the compliments stop. We scheduled an in home cost estimate only to have the estimator no show because they went home early and forgot to call us. It was only when the office called to see how the estimate went that we found out why the person never showed up. We requested another in home visit but have yet to hear back from them regarding their availability. It has been two weeks since then and we have had multiple quotes from other, more reliable companies. At the time of this review, we have made our choice with which moving company we will be using and All My Son's was not even considered.
The crew that showed up while friendly seemed more interested in checking out the layout of the home then moving me. There was no leader unless Ian was suppose to be but he hung out by the truck a lot folding blankets. They weren?t very organized and kept saying they were ahead of schedule but then would gather at the truck goofing off . They had alcohol on their breath. They were suppose to set up 3 beds 2 of them sleep number beds and while they did the master bed the guest queen was 2 foot off the wall crooked and the mechanism box and hoses hanging off the side . The 3 rd bed they never set up. They forgot my big floor mirror at the other home . They kept saying they could hardly wait to check out my new place which in hind sight seemed creepy . I am use to showing the head guy the layout so he can direct the crew but they all came in and acted like they wanted a cook out or something. I had them put all the boxes in the dining area by front door because it took them
forever to arrive and I was worried about the bill , again Ian was folding
blankets on my time . I was quoted 4 men at 4-5 hours 800-1000 ( which it should have been only 4 hrs because I didn?t have much 3 beds 2 sofas 3 chairs and a kitchen table spin bike folding treadmill and some boxes .) 169.00 trip charge , a fuel charge I was not given a price on just 14% , 169.00 an hour it took from 8:30 to 3:00 they tried to charge me till 3:30 again while
they were watching Ian fold more blankets . They charged me for a ridiculous amount for supplies which I was never informed of would be an extra fee when speaking to Nick who set up everything originally. My bill ended up being 1750.00 ( they expect payment before unloading then credit back if time is quicker . I never received the promised check in calls or a call after to check on my experience. I?ve reached out by email with no response .DO NOT USE THIIS CO. Not good!
ALL MY SONS MOVING TAKES ADVANTAGE OF CONSUMERS. WE WERE LIED TO REGARDING OUR ESTIMATE, OVERCHARGED AFTER OUR MOVE & OUR FURNITURE WAS ALSO DAMAGED .
ALL MY SONS MOVING COMPANY IS A FRAUD. THE COMPANY IS NOTHING SHORT OF BEING
GUILTY OF THEFT FOR WHAT THEY DID WITH RESPECT TO OUR MOVE. THE COMPANY GAVE ME
A VERBAL ESTIMATE OF THREE TO FOUR HOURS BASED ON THE AMOUNT OF FURNITURE WE
DISCUSSED OVER THE PHONE (WHICH WAS VERY AVERAGE FOR A ONE BEDROOM
CONDOMINIMUM) AND THEN SIGNIFICANTLY TOOK LONGER THAN EXPECTED AND OVERBILLED
US ON THE DAY OF OUR MOVE WHEN OUR HANDS WERE TIED. STOPPING THE MOVE ON OUR
ACTUAL MOVING DAY WAS NOT AN OPTION AFTER ALL THE COORDINATION BETWEEN
BUILDINGS THAT HAD TO TAKE PLACE TO SCHEDULE THE MOVE.
ALL MY SONS LED ME TO BELIEVE THAT OUR MOVE WOULD COST $600-$700. THE COMPANY
NOT ONLY MISHANDLED OUR MOVE FROM START TO FINISH, BUT ALSO DAMAGED MULTIPLE
ITEMS IN THE PROCESS. IT IS OBVIOUS TO ME NOW THAT THE COMPANY LIED TO ME ABOUT
THE ESTIMATE; ESSENTIALLY PROVIDING A RESONABLE ESTIMATE TO OBTAIN MY BUSINESS;
ONLY TO BAIT AND SWTICH BY OVERCHARGING US ON THE DAY OF OUR MOVE WHEN WE HAD
NO CHOICE BUT TO MOVE FORWARD. IT WAS ALSO QUITE OBVIOUS THAT THE MOVE WAS
DRAGGED ON WITH NO REGUARD FOR THE FACT THAT WE WERE PAYING PER HOUR. ALTHOUGH
THE ACTUAL MOVERS/MEN THEMSELVES SEEMED TO BE TRYING; OF THE THREE MEN PRESENT
THERE WAS ONE DIRECTING THE MOVE WHILE THE OTHER TWO SEEMED TO BE TRAINING AND
LEARNING FROM THE ONE DIRECTING THE MOVE. IT IS UNJUST FOR A CUSTOMER TO HAVE TO
PAY HOURLY WHILE THE MOVERS ARE LEARNING ON THE JOB. THERE IS NO WAY THAT MOVING
A ONE BEDROOM CONDOMINIUM TO A NEW CONDOMINIMUM 0.3 MILES AWAY SHOULD HAVE
TAKEN AS LONG AS IT DID. FURTHERMORE, THE NATIONAL AVERAGE TO MOVE THE ENTIRE
CONTENTS OF A ONE BEDROOM CONDOMINIMUM IS THREE TO FIVE HOURS (WE ONLY HAD
THEM MOVE THE MAIN FURNITURE; NO PERSONAL BOXES). I TOOK A PICTURE OF THE "PACKED"
TRUCK BEFORE THE MEN WERE ABOUT TO UNLOAD AT OUR NEW CONDOMINIMUM AND THE
TRUCK WAS LESS THAN 20% FULL.
TO SAY THAT MY HUSBAND AND I WERE FURIOUS WITH THE AMOUNT OF TIME IT TOOK FOR THE
MOVE WOULD BE AN UNDERSTATEMENT. WHEN I COMPLAINED TO THE MOVING MEN ABOUT
HOW LONG IT WAS TAKING THEY SAID THEY WERE SORRY AND SUGGESTED I CALL THE OFFICE.
WHEN I CALLED THE OFFICE, I SPOKE WITH RENEE FERNANDEZ WHO WAS NOT ONLY COMBATIVE
AND RUDE, BUT ADDED INSULT TO INJURY BY THREATENING ME AND TELLING ME I HAD TWO
OPTIONS, I COULD PROVIDE A CREDIT CARD AND PAY WHAT WAS DUE OR THEY WOULD BE
KEEPING OUR BELONGINGS; IMAGINE BEING TOLD THAT WHEN YOUR BED WAS STILL ON A
MOVING TRUCK AT 6PM WITH THREE MEN STANDING GUARD. I AM A SPORTS AGENT THAT
HELPS PROFESSIONAL ATHLETES ACROSS THE COUNTRY IN THE NATIONAL FOOTBALL LEAGUE
FIND MOVING COMPANIES IN THE RESPECTIVE CITIES THEY ARE MOVING TO/FROM ON A PRETTY
CONSISTANT BASIS AND NONE OF MY PLAYERS HAVE EXPERIENCE THIS KIND OF BLATENT
MISHANDING. QUITE FRANKLY NOW IF THEY ASK ME ABOUT ALL MY SONS MOVING I WOULD
ABSOLUTELY TELL THEM THAT HIRING THEM WOULD BE A HUGE MISTAKE. I AM ALSO TELLING
ALL MY FRIENDS THAT ARE COACHES AND SCOUTS IN THE NFL NEVER TO HIRE ALL MY SONS
MOVING. I AM OVERWHELMED AND DISGUSTED BY THE TREATMENT WE RECEIVED AND I NEVER
WANT THIS TO HAPPEN TO ANOTHER PERSON.
I AM REQUESTING A REFUND OF 1/2 OF THE AMOUNT THAT WERE WERE FRAUDULENTLY CHARGED FOR OUR MOVE AND COMPENSATION FOR OUR DAMAGED ITEMS.
Thank you for the feedback and opportunity to respond. On behalf of AMS, I wish to apologize that our customer did not receive the satisfactory service that was anticipated. Our customer was sent an offer on 8/23/19 for the valuation of damaged items and for the service issue. To date, our customer has not responded to the offer.
All My Sons provided incompetent service; misrepresented its terms of service; gave abusive customer service; damaged the majority of our furniture.
We hired All My Sons (AMS) for help moving out of our 2 bdrm condo and paid for their premium "VIP Concierge" service. What we got was a nightmare that lasted more than a month! The majority of our belongings were going into a rented storage unit in Dallas less than 3 miles away, with some personal belongings going to Washington DC. The 2-day move in Dallas turned into 5 days with AMS holding items for DC for a month before being transported. We have now paid them ~$10,000 to virtually damage all of our belongings.
The packers on Monday, 7/22, did a good job but after being assured the same crew was returning, our nightmare began on Tuesday. A totally different and incompetent crew arrived whom we learned had never worked together before. They were slow, unorganized and disrespectful and as it turns out had a total disregard for our treasured belongings. What occurred is unfathomable! Here is a sampling:
- One of a pair of floor-to-ceiling glass lamps was shattered when a crew member wheeled a mattress through a doorway. The crew member then took two steps backward, and proceeded to ram the hand truck with the mattress over the shattered glass and unprotected hardwood floor.
- A 3-piece wall unit incurred multiple damages to wood and was disassembled with shelving scattered throughout the condo and bracketing hardware wadded up in packing tape and tossed in another room. No telling if it will ever go back together.
- 3 leather sofa cushions and 2 velvet cushions were found at the bottom of a box filled with trash and left to be thrown out.
- After several hours with no protective covering, blankets were finally strewn over the hardwood floor only to be kicked aside as the crew wheeled dollies out the door leaving deep scratches and gouges.
- Most furniture was "wrapped" inappropriately leaving the wood, leather, and other surfaces exposed leading to damage when they moved it.
- Furniture being loaded into the truck was scraped along the concrete. Leather sofas scraped through to the padding. Tables and desk set on their unprotected corners were damaged.
- Crew used our antique steamer trunk as a step to enter their truck!
After hearing this, Mr. Struber, AMS "customer concierge," advised us by phone Tuesday afternoon to instruct the crew to stop. We had to argue with Mr. Gonzales/Region VP at the AMS office to finish the job on Wednesday with a different crew. We had to postpone the closing of the sale of our condo twice. AMS Field Claims rep showed up on Weds as crew chief had advised the damage was worse than the pictures show. Claims rep could not believe the damage and manner in which things were "packed".
AMS did not arrive at the set time and eventually Mr. G. called to say he would not release the truck until we paid for Tuesday's debacle which took them longer than estimated. He said he would not honor the "not to exceed" amount of the contract. After significant and heated discussions that day, Mr. G. agreed to finish the job on Thursday, no later than 5:00 p.m. after we paid the not-to-exceed amount.
On Thursday, a crew of two showed up 1 1/2 hours late. We worked alongside the crew until 6:30 that evening, and again on Friday until 2:30.
Stunned by how we had been treated and the extent of damage to our property, on July 28, we contacted AMS' President, Chris Generale. We have since engaged in a series of emails and phone calls with Mr. Generale and his staff. AMS staff and management has admitted fault. After weeks of discussions, broken promises, and no-show meetings, we were disappointed to receive on Sept 11 an offer of $6,682.00 to settle.
In summary, AMS provided incompetent and unprofessional service; attempted to hold our belongings hostage unless we paid more than agreed; damaged the majority of our furniture; and provided despicable customer service.
All My Sons provided incompetent and unprofessional service; attempted to hold our belongings hostage unless we paid more than agreed; damaged the majority of our furniture; damaged other belongings shipped to DC; and provided despicable customer service. We want All My Sons to: (1) Reimburse us for the replacement cost of the furniture that we know is damaged, as follows: Master bedroom: King bed frame - wooden foot board and side boards damaged King box springs - piping and fabric on corners torn Nightstand - wood on front and sides damaged Dresser - wood on front and sides damaged Queen Anne chairs (2) - wood on front damaged Guest bedroom: Desk - wood on side and top front damaged King bed frame - wood foot board damaged Living Room: Coffee Table - wood corners damaged Leather sofa - leather torn (one of a set of two) Wall mirror (5' x 8') - broken Glass floor lamp - broken (one of a pair) Entertainment room: Three piece wall unit - wood damaged Leather sofa - leather torn Leather coffee table - leather torn These pieces were purchased from Restoration Hardware three years ago, and were in pristine condition. This includes costs related to the delays in the closing of our condo, our time off work as a result of our move taking five days, rather than the agreed two days, and related unexpected travel charges. (3) Reimburse us for the damage to our belongings sent to Washington, DC, as follows: dry clean all clothing that were covered in shattered ceramic pottery and dirt/moss and designer sweaters with mold/mildew, replace missing Cuisinart toaster oven. We weren't able to attach the documentation we have backing up our complaints and requested resolution. We have over 150 photos showing the damage, our correspondence with AMS staff and management, comments from AMS staff, the "not to exceed" quote for the packing services and move to storage in Dallas, and the quote for the interstate move to DC. Please advise if there is an alternative method to forward these. Thank you in advance for any help you can provide to facilitate a resolution to this nightmare situation.
Please accept our sincere & personal apology for this unacceptable experience for the service that you received and the inconvenience of lost time and damages. This is definitely not the service I like to hear we provided to one of our valued customers, thank you for this invaluable feedback.
We have also reviewed all operational processes within this location to assure our quality standards are being followed and met. Thank you for your patience as we are finalizing your claim no later than the end of this month. The settlement conversations we've had are very much appreciated and we are open to discuss settlement conversation again, our claims department head is also always available at your convenience for any needed updates prior to finalization.
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
This is an acknowledgement but they have not offered a resolution. They have however offered to reopen discussions on settlement and we will await those conversations. To add to our file, we are attaching support materials that did not upload with our initial filing to include email letters to AMS' management describing our ordeal plus one with a link to 165 pictures of some of the damage. Other photos in the email not showing will be uploaded later. Note: AMS' employees who witnessed the damage, incl the crew supervisor and the AMS Field Claims Adjuster, among others, all said in their entire careers they had never seen the extent of damage close to what we experienced.
Thank you for the additional feedback. We are currently working directly with our customer to reach a settlement.
