I purschased 3 100.00 money orders numbered . Sometime on 6/23/18 the money orders were stolen from my car. I went to *** supermarket where I purchased and they were able to locate the purchase and give me the money order numbers referenced above. I contacted western union customer service that informed me that the money orders have not been cashed even still on this date 7/26/18. I followed the procedure to place a stop payment. I have faxed the police report with the stop payment req form twice and emailed it\. Every time I call I get a different answer as too getting my funds back . some rep tell me they have received it and it takes 30 days then other reps tell me they haven't received it. today I call 4/26/2018 they tell me they have not got any faxes or email. both faxes I have confirmation. I asked to speak to a supervisor and am transferred to a line that just rings all day. they have not done anything to try to help me. I have done everything they requested but they just lie and tell me they have no received my request.

I had to use a credit card to pay my car note. I recently lost my fiancé suddenly and sank into a deep depression and got behind on my note. I was told to use a credit card I had to call western union to do so. While on the phone with the rep I repeated the code several times and they repeated it back to me and gave me the Mtc number. The following day I called my finance company to be sure they received the payment to which I was told they hadn’t received the payment. I’ve spoken with several reps from western union and have been told something different everytime. This has taken up my entire day and caused severe anxiety. They admitted to sending it to the wrong company but no one can tell me where my money is or how to retrieve it. Meanwhile my car is due to be repossessed and they can’t tell me where my $550 is. I’ve spoken with at least six people over the phone today and no one could help. One rep told me I could go into a western union store and they could resend it to the correct company so I went and tried to do that to no avail as they said there is no record of me ever sending anything. I have the original mtc number and several reference numbers they gave me and no one can find my transaction. I have never in my life dealt with such incompetence. This has caused me to have numerous anxiety attacks today, my car could be repossessed and no one at this company seems to have a clue as to how my money can be approved and sent to the correct company. I will never use them again!! The customer service is terrible!!!! The reps have no problem solving skills whatsoever nor do they have any knowledge of their own system!!! I will be suing the company if any other fees are incurred or if my car is repossessed as I have the confirmation emails they sent, recorded phone calls and the confirmation from my credit card company as well!!

Did an online transfer bank to bank on July 18. Which states in the Western Union app 6 days to be complete. The money was taken out of my account on the 18th of July. Posted to my account on the 19th. Received an Email confirmation on th18th, another one on the 19th saying my money from my back has been received and we be available on the 24th of July. Today is the 25th, the money isn’t available. Called to see why isn’t the money available in my bank account. Was told from one costumer rep that it takes 2-3 days after the 6th day. So I should wait another 2-3 days. Asked to speak with a supervisor because nowhere in fine print, nor on the app it states it’ll take 2-3 days after the 6th day. I would’ve use this service had I known that. Spoke with a supervisor named Carlos who basically told me the same thing. I asked him, so the advertisement for 6 days bank to bank transfer is a complete lie. His answer was yes. That money was for gas money to make it to work. I’ve been out of work now for 2 days because of a lie WesternUnion is advertising.
Dear Mr.:
I am writing in response to your recent complaint to the Revdex.com (Revdex.com). In your complaint, you expressed concern that your recent Western Union direct to bank money transfer was not processed in the 6-day time frame quoted for the transaction. You stated that our Customer Service Representatives kept stating that it takes 2 to 3 days after the quoted 6-day time frame. You are requesting that we change the direct to bank money transfer time frame indicated on our website.
Western Union has investigated this matter and our records show that your transaction experienced a processing delay. The normal processing time frame for a direct to bank money transfer in the United States is 6 days. Our online disclaimer states, Funds may be delayed or services unavailable based on certain transaction conditions, including amount sent, destination, country, currency availability, regulatory issues, identification requirements, Agent location hours, differences in time zones, or selection of delayed options. For Internet and Telephone Services you must use a credit or debit card issued by a U.S. bank. Qualifying PIN-based debit cards are accepted at participating Agent locations. A card issuer cash advance fee may apply. See Send form or online Terms & Conditions for details.
Please accept our apology for the delay and inconvenience this matter may have caused you. Western Union considers this case closed. If you should have any additional questions or concerns, please contact our Corporate Headquarters at 720-332-1000, and provide the Western Union Reference #***. You may also email us at [email protected].
Sincerely,
The Western Union Executive Resolutions Team
Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:Yes it states that certain transfers can be delayed or put on hold. Clearly my transfer wasn’t delayed, nor put on hold for any reason. The representative I spoke with admitted that it takes up to 2-3 days after the 6th day. In my case this is what exactly happened. So the next step is to file a complaint with the FCC, then the Attorney General. Clearly western union is false advertising.
Sincerely
On May 4,2018 I requested a replacement money order from western union in the amount of $294.57 the money order was 6 years old. I was told I needed to fill out a track and replace form, provide them with the original money order and a payment of $30 which I complied. 35 days later I found that they had cashed the $30 money but had no record of the original money order I was requesting to be replaced. I was asked to fax them a copy of the money order which I again complied and waited another 30 days before I contacted them again. I was then informed that the money order in which I was requesting had been cashed. Now I a furious! I contact the western union head quarters via email on or about June 19, 2018 I received a email from product support person Nergina G who informed me that the form that was suppose to accompany my original money order for $294.57 was missing. I was asked to fill out the form again via email once again I complied. In follow up emails I was informed that the funds for my money order was available and had not been cashed and I would be receiving a money order in 20 to 25 days in the amount of $262.07 because the money order has depreciated in value and I would also receive my $30 back to track and replace to which I agreed and requested that they just send my money. Fast forward to July 25, 2018 as of this date I have yet to receive my money. When I contacted them again via email I was told that the $30 was processed on July 18, 2018 and the $294.57 or $262.07 will take a bit longer. Western Union is refusing to return my money after I have complied with everything they requested.
Dear ***,Western Union is writing in response to the complaint we received from you dated 7/25/2018 which was addressed to the Revdex.com. In your complaint, you indicate that you have not received a refund for your depreciated money order and the fee you submitted. Our records indicate that we had to retrieve your funds from the state due to the age of the money order which was classified as abandoned property and the check was sent to you on 7/23/2018 and takes 10 to 15 business days to reach you via USPS.The fee was also refunded to you on 7/18/2018 and also takes 10 to 15 business days to reach you via USPS.Western Union considers this case closed. I have been trying to get my money back from Western Union for a money order that we bought over a year ago to pay for my daughter's passport but she misplaced it. We recently moved and found it. The money order doesn't expire because I gave them money for it (so I thought). I deposited it to my account and it was returned and my bank charged me a $20 returned check fee. Now I am out $45. Western Union says the MO depreciated and is only worth $11 now! How? I gave them $25 to guarantee funds. I asked to speak to a supervisor and 2x they sent me to a line that no one answers. The 3rd time someone answered but as soon as I requested my money back, including the $20 fee, she put me on hold for over 30 minutes. I got tired of waiting and hung up. Is this legal? How can I get my money back? Nowhere on the stub Or the money order does it state that it will depreciate after one year. I would not have deposited into the bank.
How many people have they cheated out of their money like this? Had I reported it lost, they would charge a fee to refund my money. From what I understood it would be $35 fee to get $25 back.Every option given to receive a refund has fees attached and they are only giving me back $11. How can they get away with this?

Dear ***,Western Union is writing in response to the 2nd rebuttal we received from you dated 8/22/2018 which was addressed to the Revdex.com. I am rejecting this response because: NO you are are "available" during those hours because you don't answer the phone. I have made many calls and left voicemails a few times. I responded to this via email.

My money order was stolen, I emailed my documents on 06/21. I never received a response from anyone letting me know my documents were received or anything, so I emailed a message asking did they receive and still no response. I sent my documents again on 07/03, still no response so I called and the rep at that time told me they did receive on 06/21 and 07/03. I said okay well why didn't you all respond to let me know? She said because we don't and you have to call us (blank stare). I said that is horrible practice as a business, that some type of contact should be made with the customer to let them know. She tells me to call back after 30 days. I called today twice, they basically said that they were going to go off the last document sent I said that's crazy because its the same paper work. I said the refund should go off the original date the documents were received. I sent another email today to prove to them I sent the first document on 06/21.Im really upset about this, I have to wait another 30 days now.

I purchased a money order on June 15th in the amount of $317.00 (at ***: 3425 Ingersoll Avenue. DSM IA 50312) I believe the money order was stolen and cashed by a sales associate that works at the place where I purchased the money order. The reason why I believe someone that worked at the grocery store did it is because I shop there frequently and always get a bill of sales receipt with the money order every time I purchase one from that location. On that day I was not provided with one. I was told they can do nothing for me because the entire money order was gone. I contacted a supervisor and was provided a duplicate bill of sales.
I was denied any refund assistance from the grocery store that I purchased the money order at.( ***: 3425 Ingersoll Avenue. DSM IA 50312) They told me that I had to take it up with WU.(Western Union)
I contacted WU and told them I had a local police detective willing to take action but, they need the name of the person that cashed the money order.
WU said they can indeed provide the name of the person that was identified as the purchaser on the money order and the place where the money order was cashed. However, they can not supply me with a refund because it was blank when it got stolen.
I've contacted WU several times and each time I do they tell me that the information is not in the system yet and to give it some time.
It has now been an entire month. I believe they have the information but, they are refusing to supply me with it because they know they are at fault.
They also refused to report it to their fraud department and handle it as a theft.
I've been very patient.
I think It's an unethical business practice to not override corporate policy and offer a full refund in this unique situation.
They would not even allow me to leave them the officer's name that's handling the investigation.
(I contacted WU western union immediately)

I Sent some money to mexico, and the person I sent it to, was not able to get the money, it was picked up by someone else and I called the number they have on the receipt, an investigation was open, but I requested more information about it, they told me I had to call the police, I asked them for a phone number or a number where I can call and he told me they didn't had any fraud number just to go directly to the police department, I requested copies of the investigation report or at list something to show me the person's signature and he told me I needed a court order in order to provide me that information. I think they should provide their customers with more information, not just like " there is nothing we can do" and my money is now gone

I purchased 3 western union money orders. Hello,
I purchased 3 money orders from western union to pay my rent. The money orders were stolen from the rent box at my rental office where I dropped them off. I contacted western union to find out if they were cashed and they said they were. They then sent me copies of the cashed money orders and it shows that someone wrote over them and fraudulently cashed them. Since then, I have been trying to get a refund to no avail and am facing eviction from my home. I can’t even get them to tell me where the money orders were cashed. I can’t tell from the copies they sent me. I have talked to many different people saying they would find out and email me back and have not heard a thing. Every time I call I get a different person who barely speaks English so I can’t tell half of what they are saying and they also don’t know what is going on with my case. I would like an immediate response and refund. I have NEVER experienced such poor customer service in my life. This has been going on for 10 months now.

I have been using Western Union for over ten years. All of a sudden I can't receive or send anymore. They have me no reason, actually they implied that I was doing something wrong. I think this is ridiculously unfair. They have lost money, and if anyone should be questioned it's them.
I made out a money order to *** for $100.00 from western union . I just found out it was cashed and I do not know from whom . I had to get a tracer and pay $15.00 and send *** another money order in which they cashed . *** claims they never received my $100.00 and have treated unfairly . I have reached out to western union and can not talk to anyone . They are playing games as well

I started the refund process with western union in april 2018. Western union still claims they didn't receive the letter and told me to email the documentation on 4 July 2018. FIRST- I sent money to china via western union. I cannot read the mtc number. but the date was May of 2017, and I know who I sent it to. that along with my info should be enuff to pull the transaction up, and they would see it was not picked up, and would refund me. that one was for $180! well, I made a mistake on the form as far as who was to get the money, so china told me they couldnt accept it. and that I should come and get a refund. this is the one I would need them to do a small amount of research with the info I do have to see that china never picked it up.-$180 with a 14 dollar fee. I tried to get this refund back about a week later, and western union said there was nothing there. so I thought maybe it hadnt come thru yet. so, I waited. meanwhile , and SECOND I sent money via western union again to a different china location. this one they picked up, BUT they made a mistake and issued me a refund of $84. I have a mtc number for this second one. when I went to collect my money on this second one...AGAIN they told me there was nothing there. in this one I contacted the china business who swears that they checked with accounting and that they did retrun my money and they give me the same mtc number!
so I wanted western union to research both of these. on april 20th 2018 I sent a letter certifed mail with return receipt to western union. the letter told them the story of the first western union and what had happened. it was signed by leslie gutierrez at the address given. western union customer care center po box 6036 englewood, coloroda, 80112. _IGNORED havent heard a thing! sent a second letter also certified with return receipt on may 25th 2018. signed for again, and again IGNORED!
so, thats almost 250 dollars that western union owes me. why didnt I call them???well I did this week as a matter of fact. after telling this huge, whole story, I get put on hold for ever, then???of course the calls fails and hangs up on me. it was NOT my phone either as it was a land line. so they cannot say that my cell died. it did not. I was hung up on their end after being ignored after sending 2 certified letters, and spending wayyy to much time on hold!
I do not recommend using western union anymore. it is a quick way to get money taken and never to see it again!

RE: Transaction # ***
Complaint in regards to Western Union Financial Services, Inc. P.O. Box 6036, Englewood, CO 80155, USA. Two cases when money been held without a reason, contacting or asking any involved party any questions even though I am customer for several years and my phone number and email are readily available.
On July 2nd of 2018 I sent money to my brother. Money should have been become available for a pick up after 48 hours. Today is July 6th and money still been hold by Western Union. When I called Western Union Customer Service (1.800.325.6000) today I was told the transaction was under review because it was suspicious.
The questions from the Customer Service representative of Western Union went like this after I provided transaction number, names, amount sent, sender's and recipient's locations:
- Why are you sending this money?
- How this money are going to be used by the recipient?
- How do you communicate?
I gave answers, but Customer Service Representative was either following script without thinking or was not willing to hear. I had to ask several times to talk to her supervisor. Responds were Supervisor is not going to help. Only after my 3rd request I was told she will connect me with supervisor. I was told Supervisor will call within 15 minutes.
Supervisor, who's name was Anna or something similar tried to read the same script and threatened multiple times to cancel transaction and refund the money as my answers were not good enough for her. For example, when I said I do not know how exactly money would be spent(it is obvious someone can buy food or cloth, book or a ticket), I was told I need to give another answer. I gave the example to Supervisor who I think is from India, let say you send money to your mother in Bangalor and I would ask you how she is going to spend them, what would you say? Supervisor was not able to grasp analogy and again with threats of canceling transaction demanded the answer. I asked to give me answers which would satisfy and ...

I am rejecting this response because:
It is not a response from a respected business. I do not want to hear from "Fraud prevention department" clerks I need to provide the info mentioned previously. If someone think $100 between relatives need to be proved and explained, fix your criteria/logic.

I needed to send funds to my cousin in Finland and Western Union (WU) seemed to be the easiest solution. I had used them before to send her funds so my information was saved and I tried to send using this info. Instead, I received a message stating there was an error and that I needed to complete the transaction by phoning them. I decided to try a different credit card instead and received the same message. Lastly, I noticed they had my prior address (I moved in May) so I updated that and tried one last time but received the same message. I figured I would call them that afternoon. However, upon checking my email I received confirmations of all three attempts so even though their system said they didn't go through, they actually did. I contacted customer service and they said it was too late to reverse because they instantly went through. My cousin confirmed that she received three payments from me.

For almost a decade I have been having trouble receiving money transfers due to many issues. Finally, on July 3 the latest money transfer has revealed that somehow I am blocked at Western Union from sending or receiving money transfers.
*** July 3. 2018 money transfer for $300.00 first showed that I had collected it upon insisting the second reason was given as being blocked. I spoke with Dept of Consumer Fraud 800-448-1492 on 7/3/18 was told thr reason it did not show was because the Sender did not provide a Question for Validation. Today, 7/5/18 upon insisting that I did not collect the money as was another reason, the Sender’s agency said I was blocked.
Examples of past transfers problems:
1. Stolen 65.00 paid to fraudulent person in Colorado when I was in Houston, TX. The tactics were delay by not showing the money transfer on W.U computer system by waiting on transfer to appear the money was stolen. This transfer was from Florida USA.
2. Multiple days delays given the runaround having to speak to supervisor.
3. By changing the City of Houston for something else.
This ongoing harassment has been creating economic hardships for our family. It is tied to a case filed with law enforcement for criminal hackers and criminal persons causing harm to our family members including attempting murder.
We need to get information from Western Union as to how the block was set by whom and what other details pertaining to blocking.

I sent a $200 money order to my daughter on May 17, 2018. She went to pick it up on May 18, 2018 however she was told the money had been picked up already. I called on May 19, 2018 to clear up this misunderstanding however they told me that the money had in fact been picked up. Me and my daughter both live in Huntsville, Alabama. This is where the money was from and was sent to. The customer service agent that I spoke with informed me that the money was picked up in Michigan! I did not set up a security question however there was one put on there. Also, there was a diffferent number put on there that was diffferent from what I orginally set it up for. I put in a claim that the representative said would not exceed 20 days investigation. I called after 25 days had gone by. The representative on that day told me someone would call me by the end of the week. Two more weeks go by and I call again for another represenative to tell me I would recieve a call in 24 hours. Two weeks go by and when I called this time I asked to speak with a manager first. Hector, ID number ***, tells me that this was disputed on June 20th and that because money was picked up, there was nothing they could do. No one called and I expressed to him that a Western Union employee had to change the information because neither me or my daughter has called to change anything. He told me that if I think I have been a victim of fraud that he would transfer me! He did not listen to anything a said! I am looking for a resolution from Western Union before further action has to be taken.
