baby is supposed to be fun, so I apologize if this experience caused her any frustration. After reviewing the transaction history I’ve requested a replacement Target GiftCard in the amount of $163.85 be mailed to the address: [redacted] Fuquay Varina, NC 27526. The GiftCard will be processed tomorrow and should arrive within 7-10 business days. Target considers GiftCards to be like cash and the GiftCard had been used in full, so our team members were following our policy when they said there wasn’t anything they could do. Rest assured, Target.com is a secure place to shop and store GiftCards. Our online security system was never compromised, the payment information in the stores was but that has been fully resolved. Going forward, to ensure that no one is able to access her Target.com account, I recommend that [redacted] reset her email and Target.com account password. Also, it’s a good idea to use unique user names and passwords on each website where a shopping account is created. As always, I appreciate the assistance you provide us with our guests. I’m sorry to hear that [redacted] felt that his experience didn’t matter to me. I can assure you that’s certainly not the case. While his experience isn’t what I’d hoped it would be, I do appreciate that he shared the specific details of what happened. Our senior leadership team will certainly evaluate what can be done different moving forward to prevent a situation like this from occurring again in the future. Vince had offered to provide [redacted] with two $5 Target GiftCards, but this was for the promotions. It wasn’t in addition to what wasn’t being issued on his order. I can’t apologize enough knowing Target has let him down. I’ve sent him a $10 Target eGiftCard to his email address. He should receive the eGiftCard within 4-24 hours which can be used on Target.com or simply print it to use in stores. I know I’m not able to change what he’s already experienced, but I have confidence that if he uses the eGiftCard toward a new order he’ll have a much better Target.com experience. Target considers this matter closed as there are no other options for this situation.
I am rejecting this response because:
The business should offer some form of restitution for my time / travel / temp hold of funds for their acknowledged mistake. The terms and conditions are understood, but were not just talking about a incorrect listing, I was inconvenienced by their mistake and what appears intentional effort to sell a vaguely listed item (didn't specify version, but were able to say this item was regular $699?) and also created a false impression of a good deal showing this was "29% off". Since they were not selling the correct version, this advertisement created a false impulse to buy and that is worse than just simply mis-listing a feature, it seems more like an intent to try and sell an outdated item they hoped the customer would overlook.Something like a $25 gift card or anything more than a ridiculous reference to their T's and C's should be offered if they have any knowledge of customer relations. Hopefully the same will happen to them so they can learn how to retain customers. Maybe its good this happened, I can have one less credit account closing this one and inform others so they take their holiday shopping elsewhere.

However, I’ve issued a GiftCard for $25 to his email address, which encompasses the value of the promotion he would have received on this item. This toy sold out quickly which is why his order was cancelled. Select stores did receive an additional small supply but they weren’t eligible for shipping or as a pick-up in store order. Although there’s no way to undo the experience he has had, I do sincerely apologize for the disappointment it brought him this holiday season. Both tracking numbers for the order show that USPS delivered one package on 06/15 and one on 06/17. Since the registered guest never received them and I’m unable to change the address for a replacement order, I refunded the guest. In order to refund her, I must first create a return so she can disregard any emails she might receive advising her how to return the items. Nivea Lip Balm was cancelled, a release to remove the hold was issued to the card issuer, which can take up to 7 business days to remove. Since, the Camille Rose Super Foods Vitamin was already in the shipping process, systematically, the item couldn’t be cancelled until the shipment was received to the local Target store.However, I’m pleased to confirm that the entire order has been cancelled and the hold was finally removed. I realize our guest doesn’t want any compensation because she has decided to no longer shop at Target. The pending authorization amount for $22.86 [redacted] is seeing on her bank statement is the initial authorization charge from her order during the checkout process online before any discounts had been applied to her order. Normally, pending authorizations take up to 7 days to fall of the accounts. This should happen by Friday, 8/12/16 by Midnight. [redacted] may contact her bank for any further concerns. I am rejecting this response because:
First, there is a picture of the first phone call I made to target about this issue attached. I have also made dozens more phone calls and the issue was never resolved. Still this response does not address my issue rather it just is about something that has nothing to do with the current problem. I have not been refunded for the iPad mini [redacted]. Also my complaint requests that a corporate manager call me, that has not been done and This issue is not resolved until I receive that call. A $20 gift card is not suffice compensation for this matter as I also have not been refunded for the order. If you re read everything I wrote the issue will be easier for you to understand.
