I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. The business offered me free DVR service for the life of my account and a $retention credit for the next months. This resolution although appreciated, however, it does not address the main issue in my complaint with regard to how quickly ones account is cancelled after just days. Please understand there is a big difference between an account being disabled (meaning now able to stream TV) and an actual cancellation of ones account.When an account is disabled for non payment (in my case, lost card and I forgot to update the new card info on my sling account) with 99% of other companies, if you contact then within a certain time frame (a lot longer then days) you can restart the account without having lost your package. Any discounts on the account would remain and your not forced to choose a new package at a higher price plan. The main complaint here is that Sling wanted me of the grandfathered planwhat better way to get people off of such plans then to have a no grace period exist and to simple cancel a customers account rather then disable it in a way to force the customer into a higher price plan I will accept this resolution only because I feel this is not the correct avenue to bring about a change in Slings cancellation policy. I do appreciate the fact they I did get a response, and that they did offer me something. But I will still press forward with my complaint regarding Slings cancellation policy with the Federal Trade CommissionNow after having said all of that, we'll see if Sling still wishes to offer me anything at all :-) Now a bad company , just need to change the above mentioned policy to one that is fair. P.Sin regard to the resolution offer, how do I go about getting it? I will have to make a call to customer service, and when I do what shell I tell them? will you have my account notated? and if so How will you manage to do that when it been cancelled? :-)
