Error When Using Service
I paid for a year of Sinemia movie ticket service in October 2018. For the past two weeks the service has not allowd me to purchase a movie ticket. I receive the message 'unknown error' when attempting to use the service.

Desired Outcome

either provide the service I paid for or give me a refund.

There is no resolution from them for a complaint I emailed on March 22nd. This issue is repetitive. I am being charged. No refund for cancellation too
I purchased Sinemia's yearly membership last year in october and my plan started on Oct 13th 2018. They have extremely poor customer service and that too over email only. No phone contact. So, all you can do is drop them an email and then wait for them to respond while you are anyway being charged. All their policies are against their consumers.

So, the issue i.e. not being able to use their service started on March 22nd 2019. Please note that the same issue has occurred multiple times in the past but this time I have given up on them after following up for a week and all I receive as a response is "we apologize and we are working on it". I asked them to cancel my membership and process a refund for the rest of the period as the issue is from their end not mine. I get no response to that.

When it comes to blocking the app for a customer for a simple reason that you "forgot to check-in", they don't take more than an hour and until the customer pays the amount (which is $10-12) for each check-in missed, they block the app. Now that the issue is from their end and they least bothered to help the customer. All I am asking is for them to cancel my membership as I can no longer bear this and refund my money, that too for the remaining period not for the entire year. But, they are so clever to not pay heed to such requests.

In one of the emails, they asked if they can provide more assistance. To which, I requested them to book a ticket for me with all the details. As expected, they denied. What "more assistance" can they provide then?

Basically, I am paying them for their service which hardly works plus the check-in charges (i have paid twice or thrice at least) plus the amount that I end up paying for the ticket that I purchase as there app does not let me purchase a ticket.

They are very smart people and have made all their policies against their customers. This is traumatic and I request you to please take some strict actions against this business. They should not even be there in the market. They are just making money and fooling people. Thanks.

I want them to refund my money and made some amends to their policies. What kind of business (specifically service industry) enters the market in 2019 without a proper customer support? There is no way to contact them via phone. They should explain if this is because they always had the intention of looting people and when they do so, they do not have to communicate with the customer directly. After going through all the pain and efforts of contacting them and following up with them and ending up with no resolution, I want them to compensate me as well as all other customers who faced this issue.

The Sinemia app has not been working for two straight weeks, making it impossible to use the service I've been paying for.
I have been in contact with Sinemia customer service via email. They have yet to respond to my complaints of the app not working, but instead, continually ask me to record or take a snapshot of the issue. I took a snapshot of their app not working, with an explanation, and they stopped responding altogether. I have looked online and on twitter, it seems that many people are experiencing the very same problem as I am. In other words, this is not an isolated incident, but a major issue that Sinemia doesn't seem to be resolving.

I would like a partial refund of the remaining months I have not used for the annual subscription I purchased from them, as well as a partial refund for the annual subscription I purchased for my wife, *** at the same time. I bought each annual subscription for $8.99/mo, totaling $107.88 each for the year, or a total of $215.76. Minus the three months of which we attempted to use the service, totaling $53.94, I would like a refund of $161.82.

Total scam! Incredibly hard to understand how to purchase the tickets. Once you figure that out they change it. Tons of hidden fees. The credit card number they gave me didn't work and they won't return emails. STAY AWAY!!

Was running good for me the first couple months I had it and then the app started glitching and no one EVER responds from customer support. You are literally just emailing into a void because there is no way to contact them by phone. I have not been able to use my account for 9 days because of error messages stopping me from proceeding on the App. Completely unacceptable since I paid for a full year of service!! I'm so disappointed that now I have to fight to get my money back like everyone else. Should have listened to all the negative reviews and scams.

I dont like the hidden fees but dealt with them because it was a good deal. But with my app not working and being unable to purchase tickets on at least 20 seperate days while having my subscription is not acceptable. Their technical support is non-existent.

Purchase a 1 year membership to see 3 movies for 2 people - paid $215.88. I was able to see 5 movies during a 2 month period - I went to purchase tickets for our 6th movie and was told to visit the website for an important message. The important message was that my account had been terminated. Lame! Sinemia would not provide a refund for the amount due, so a chargeback has been filed with my credit card company.

Feels like a huge scam at this point. Even though the service started good, now it feels like money wasted. I paid for a year of service and for the last three weeks, the app won't let me watch any more movies. I have contacted Sinemia about my issue on FB. I *** see that they read the message but 48hrs later, still no reply. This is horrible customer service from a sketchy company that already asks you to jump through hoops to use their service and with hidden fees. Now they decided they won't fulfill their service.

I would NOT recommend Sinemia and would advise anyone to look somewhere else for a reliable, and trustworthy company.

Sinemia started off is a great service. I suspect as they run out of money they are looking for ways to scam hard-working people out of theirs! They suddenly canceled my account stating they were unable to verify my ID even though I have submitted the proper documents five times. they never say what the actual problem with the documents are they just send a canned email. I have tried repeatedly and don't understand why they ***'t just read the information on my ID and look at my face and verify my identity. at least you to believe they are just wanting to keep 6 months worth of my fees because I paid in advance and should be good through the end of August. Their practices do not seem to be ethical and I think they are scamming customers, I knew reasons to cancel so they *** keep the fees. I'm still trying to contact them and I only get automated messages saying they received my emails but never a response or help.

Sinemia really cheated me out of my 1 year subscription. I pre-paid for 1 year of service, and 4 months in they cancelled it for absolutely no good reason. I did not break and term of service or anything. They just cancelled it and stole my money for the remaining year.

Customer service issue
There is 18.55$ extra charge on my account (I don't know why). I tried emailing Customer Service 4-5 times but no reply from their end. The only way to contact the company's customer care is via messages/email.

They already have deducted 1 year cost as per contract and now I am in middle of nowhere.

This fraudulent company should not be a allowed to continue business. They don't honor the service you pay for. Research their history of deceit.
I strongly advise everyone to stay away from Sinemia. They are a highly fraudulent company. If you search the internet, there are thousands of people with the exact same complaints that I have: they sell a false product/service which is nothing like they advertise. They have no customer support. They manipulate there website to hide the true fees that you pay to steal your money with no prospect of a refund. Starting from the beginning, Sinemia's website pretended to offer unlimited movies for roughly $29 a month. I decided to try it out for one month. What they do not tell you is that they will charge you for the entire year without your permission. So instead of spending around $30, I spent around $360. I requested a refund, as I did not intend to spend that much money for entertainment such as this. After multiple emails and contact for submissions on their website (they have no number or other means of contacting them) I never received a response. Further more, they did not disclose that even after you purchase the service, you have to pay an additional $10 just to "activate" it without them making you wait another month. Also not mentioned before you sign up. They continued to lie about offering a physical debit card that you can use to purchase ticket on their website before you sign up. After you pay, they is no debit card or an option to get one. They force you to use 3rd party online movie ticket sellers which charge you an additional $2-$4 per tickets after their fees and Sinemia's additional fees. Non of this was disclosed before you pay for the service. Again I tried to get a refund or a response. I never got anything. Eventually I threatened to go to the Revdex.com or pursue legal action and finally got a response after a month which simply said they do not offer refunds. I was just cheated out of $360. I didn't know a company could be so blatantly misleading and still be in business. I decided If I at least tried to use the service, I could recoup some of my losses. They success rate for actually being able to use Sinemia's service to purchase a ticket was about 33%. Literally 2 out of every 3 times I tried to use the service to purchase a ticket, the required Sinemia app did not work, or the "virtual credit Card number" they give you in the app to purchase your ticket online would be an invalid number. Even when it did work, purchasing a ticket was such a convoluted and complicated process (requiring the user switching back and forth between multiple apps filling out multiple forms and other non-sense that they do not inform you about before you buy the service) that it takes on average 30 minutes just to purchase a ticket. Additionally, about every other time you open the app to purchase a ticket, they require and update, or want you to arbitrarily send you a photo of yourself and drivers license (they don't disclose that you have to continually do this about every other time you want to use the app) and wait for one of their representatives to verify you, or other obstacles that they deliberately through in your way to prevent you from using the ticket. Even when the ticket purchasing is rarely successful, if that 30 minutes of going back and forth between apps and sending photos of yourself made you forget to "check in" to the movie within the first 30 minutes, they charge your personal credit card for the price of the movie; even if the app itself made you 31 minutes late for the movie you were trying to see. There were times when I tried to check in, but the app froze mysteriously or glitched, so I was charged for the ticket anyway. Eventually, after being charged a number of times, I was able to get a few movies purchased with successful check-ins, but if you are to successful purchasing movies, Sinemia will just terminate your membership. If you watch enough movies (in the way that they originally advertised) that they cannot profit off of you, they will terminate you membership. No reason given. No refund.

I would like a full refund of what I paid for their service as it never once worked as they advertised, and for Sinemia to discontinue to falsely advertise their product/service, or ideally discontinue to do business.

App has not worked for two months preventing me from using the service. When the app does work, sinemia tries to pass on fees that don't exist.
Since February, I have had issues with not being able to select a movie. I get a spinning wheel on attempting to select, and then nothing loads. This has been a continuous problem preventing me from using the app. I have prepurchased a full year, and have not been able to see a movie in the past two months. On top of this, the business is trying to pass on fees to me that do not exist. It requires me to put in a convenience fee even though my theater waives convenience fees. The premise is that Sinemia pays for the movie, but we are responsible for any fees. This although shady, is acceptable. What is incredibly shady is that they now do not let you opt out of the fee if you don't have to pay it. This is not in the description and breaks their advertising completely. This is complete false advertising as it is passing on a none existent fee. I have reached out to the business via DM on the March 6,7,26, 27 without response. Not only is this business not offering their service, they are doing nothing to remedy it. It is nearly impossible to get in contact with the business.

Really I just want a response. I would like to have two months added to my subscription as I have wasted away two months. It seems only fair to have it added on the tail end. But ultimately, I need the service to work. Additional months will do nothing if it continues to not work. So the best plan of action could just be a complete refund because of the three months I have only been able to utilize one of them. So its not like I've really gotten to use the service

Unexplained termination of service, no true refund offered. Customer service refused to explain or even respond after initial messages
I purchased a year-long subscription to their movie service. After 4 months, they cancelled my subscription without an explanation. After contacting them, they said they could not provide one, and then stopped responding. Their "refund policy" refunds your subscription price minus a charge for each time the service was used, which amounts to literally zero dollars for most users, since the entire point of the service is to see movies for a vastly discounted rate, and the charge per use subtracted from the refund is full retail value. I had also purchased a gift card from them for $200 a month ago, which I can now no longer use, since my account is banned. They have claimed they cannot share any details of my termination with me because it is an "account security issue", but there are many, many reports of this happening to people, and it's generally suspected they're simply terminating accounts for people using it regularly, since they're making less money off of them. This is a ridiculous business practice, and is incredibly deceptive, and essentially stealing money by offering an incredibly limited refund.

I'd like an actually prorated refund, which would be 2/3 of my subscription fees, or $128. I'd also like a refund for the remainder of the gift card I bought, which, at the discount I purchased it at, would be $121. Otherwise, I'd like my subscription restored under the previous terms, with the assurance that I will not be terminated without cause again.

I was billed double what I was told I would be.
I was charged 99.96 dollars on march 3rd when I purchased the physical card. I should have been 49.98. I have asked about this on their website 3 times, emailed 3 times, have sent them DMs, and Facebook messages and I have not received a response.

September 2018 I paid for a one year subscription to a movie service offered by Sinemia. Early this month their computer terminated my service.
My wife and I purchased a one year membership to Sinemia last September (2018). Earlier in the month, when trying to attend a movie with my wife, I had a message on the app that said to log in to receive a message. The message said that there was potential fraudulent use of my account and so my account had been terminated. I contacted customer service to find out what had taken place and they said that because my account had been terminated by the computer that there was nothing they could do about it.

Obviously, this not only impacts me but also my wife (who the computer apparently thinks is ok). She isn't going to attend movies by herself, so it not only cut my membership short by 6 months, but renders 6 months of her membership worthless.

I purchased Sinemia membership ( 3 movies per month for 2 people ) for $20.99 per month on 11/5/18 on Sinemia homepage. I paid $251.88 for 12 month at one time as I could save $19.99 x 2 person activation fee in that way. Then I found out that it would take a few weeks or MORE for membership to be activated , so I paid $9.99 expedit activation fee to start using membership immediately on 11/10/18...though I felt it was their intention to make acrivation process delay to get extra fee...
$3.60 convenience fee we were charged on each purchase was a bummer too ... on 12/16/18 Sinemia app recommended me to pay $29.98 to get Sinemia Card ..saying that the benefit of a card was waiving the fee. So I purchased a card thru Sinemia app ... but I found out that it did not waive any fee if I order movie ticket online unless we had to go to theatre window .. I felt this card was useless and I wasted money...
Then on 3/2/19, suddenly my attempt Of purchasing movie tickets thru Sinemia app was rejected . And I got this notice .....Upon reviewing your account, we regret to inform you that the system has detected examples of your membership use that violates the terms of service. As a result, your account has been terminated. An account may be terminated, but not limited to, for the following reasons:

Unauthorized use of the Sinemia card/cardless outside of its intended purposes, resulting in fraudulent financial activity
The use of multiple Sinemia accounts in the same device resulting in financial abuse
Reasonable suspicion of fraud and/or abuse
Sharing one's Sinemia membership information to purchase tickets for other persons.
Manipulation of location data resulting in deceptive ticket purchases.....I never violated their terms and co dictions , I never tried fraud on its membership ....So I emailed customer service and asked more details. As I had no idea of what they were talking .... but their reply said they could not give me any detail and termination of my membership was not changed .... so I asked them refund of unused monthly member fee which was $20.99 x 9 month = $188.91 at least ... but they are refusing the refund . Simply it is not right they take money for seevicss they do not provide ... honestly this termination without right reasons is not acceptable too... I heard many other members experience the same ... but I accept it..so at least I need the refund for unused membership fee.

Unable to use the sinemia app to buy tickets ! Contacted them by email with no resolution. No working phone number available. Its a ponzi scheme!
Bought a family plan for 3 movies/month for 1 year. After seeing only one movie the app stopped working. Now I am unable to buy tickets for past 5 days without any explanation. Many emails sent with responses from them without any resolution. No phone number available for contact. Emails to *** and *** sent multiple times but no resolution. Now they stopped even responding. Refunds not available . I think they are out of money and not sustainable ! Probably a ponzi scheme from owners in Istanbul.

This company provides a membership but does not actually provide the services the membership is supposed to provide. The app that you have to use to use the membership (for purchasing movie tickets and checking into the theater to prove you actually used the purchased ticket) rarely works, so one of two things consistently happen. 1. you do not get to get your movie ticket through your membership and you end up having to purchase it from the movie theater at full price. 2. you are unable to check into the theater to prove you actually used the purchased ticket, so you get additional charges. They also continually change their terms and conditions and the membership rules after the membership was paid for, and they began charging me fees each time I used the membership, this was not part of the original membership plan or agreement. They do not respond to customer service requests. I have sent several emails requesting a reply on their app not working and being unable to use the membership. They also randomly lock your membership until you send them a picture of a government issued ID and a picture of you holding the government issued ID to prove who you are. This is after they accepted your credit card with your security code, with your email validation. They do not offer a refund even though they are not providing the services you paid for. Basically, I am giving them 0 stars for not providing the service they claim to provide and that I paid for and for having NO customer service at all. All you *** do is email and you never get a response or a resolution.

A full or prorated refund of the two memberships I have purchased. I have my membership and the membership I purchased for my daughter.
