Select Home Warranty had assigned a technician on 1/22/2016, we have not heard from the customer since then
We have refunded the customer the requested amount of $

I am rejecting this response because: The company still has not addressed how years of maintenance records could be obtained between June and December Getting record of maintenance right before this incident occurred would leave us in the same situation They still have not addressed the fact that I was told by their sales representative that not having the maintenance records would not be an issue There also was no opportunity to resolve this issue with the company because no one at the company is helpful or stands by what is said (and that is after wasting several days trying to get someone on the phone or to respond to emails) Simply put, your salesman lied to me to get me to purchase the contract and got me to purchase coverage on a second AC system At this point I am requesting final time for a full refund of my contract of plus the dollars in diagnostic fees You have wasted many hours of my time and over $of my money through your lies and deceit.

We spoke with customer and for the inconvenience she experienced we have credited her card $for her claimsThis creidt can take 1-business days to post to the credit card statement
The customer has requested to be refunded by check, it will be mailed out on Friday, on Friday, October

We did speak with the customer and we will waive all cancellation fee as well a refund him at the discounted rateThis refund amount goes above the policy terms

I am rejecting this response because:After the phone call was made to inform them of the problem, the first statement was it had to breakdown completely.Then told it has be be a malfunctionWell there was a malfunctionThen once we made several calls and went up the chain of leadership, to get us off the phone they immediate said will just send you your prorated dollars backWhich have yet been receivedSo basically they will take your $$ for a year and not give you anything but if you have a issue, they will throw a few bucks your way and say not our problemquickest call and then answer was "fine will send you part of your money back"This is a total scam, the consumer complaint and blogs all show this company never replaces, repairs or even comes to check the situation.They even stated there competitor had many more complaints then them when I asked about it. This is some guy sitting back and taking peoples money and not having to do anything for it, except being rude to folks when they call to complain. Just sad that business like this can existAnd the worst taking advantage of year old people.And a side note to there response to you, was a little different to me.Basically told me "I need to learn how to read or get someone to read it to me being I am so old"

I am rejecting this response because: I tried numerous times to call the number provided in the email sent to me by Select Home
Warranty (see below, the email didn't have an extension or name) and I couldn't get hold of anyoneI finally called the extension provided through Revdex.com (Mr***) and I left a message since I didn't get a response. Dear *** ***,Please be advised that your claim for Contract : #*** is presently in our systemWe do need to speak with you, please call us at *** *** *** for our claims department. Select Home Warranty contacted the customer and returned all of the customers calls, we were not able to get in touch with *** Plumbing and once we did that was the statement *** made, on a recorded call We do understand that the customer does not agree with the diagnosis that the technician gave us, but he was very thorough and concise about every conversation he had withthe customer and how he should proceed If he was not at the site or could not recall what happened, how was he able to included the part that the customers boyfriend was there as well as the issuewith the tub spout and the shower spout were connected back to back which made the actual repair harder than it needed to be, also that there would be quite a bit of cosmetic damage.Select Home Warranty has spoken to the customer on many occasions and advised them that due to a statement from the technician and the damage that coincides with corrosion, we areunable to move forward with the claim. We have explained to the customer that the pipe, in technicians professional opinion was cause by corrosion that slowly ate away at the pipe that caused it to bust open , wear and tear over time would have been a smaller leak that would have become bigger over time.The customer is more than welcome to contact us to discuss the matter further, we have listened to the recorded conversation and the original diagnosis we received and they do coincide that this wascaused by corrosion, which falls out side of the scope of coverage
The diagnosis from the technician is that the washer was being overloaded and caused the damage to the motor, when the machine is overloaded it puts a strain on the motor and it eventually burns out.The customer does not agree with this diagnosis and they are more than welcome to get a second
opinion at their own cost, and we will be more than happy to review the matter
Select Home Warranty did speak to the technician and he stated clearly that the customer burned out the motor from overloading the machine, the customer called us on 10/20/and stated thatthey do not agree with the technicians' diagnosis, we have not heard from the customer since then.The customer adamantly disagreed with the diagnosis, we ask that they get a second opinion and then we may proceed, we have already obtained a diagnosis on the issue and the technician has not contacted us to say otherwise
The customer has already been informed on several occasions that they were approved for $towards their replacement unitPlease refer to section of the customers warranty: (iii) In lieu of replacing a system or appliance that is deemed irreparable or it is not cost effective to repair,
said determination being made by Select, Select may choose to pay a cash settlement for the irreparable component of the system or applianceSelect is not responsible for installationThe cash settlement shall be in an amount not to exceed the depreciated value of the component/appliance being replaced;
The customer requested to cancel their contract with our company on 6/22/The customer was only charged for months of coverage which was up to June 10th since they first purchased their contract on Feb 10thThe customer has already been provided with their refund information and as soon as
their check is issued it will be mailed outNo additional funds are due at this timeThe customers contract has been cancelled per section of their warranty
We have already gone above the policy terms by waiving the cancellation feeWe have already sent the refund check
We spoke to the customer and have apologized for the situation and have processed a full refund as per the customer request
