We did speak to the customer and have mailed them a reimbursement check for the claim

The customer is not due this amountThe approved amount was $and the check has gone out already

This complaint was not put in by the policy holderWe spoke to the policy holder, which is the landlordThe landlord agreed to get a second opinion for the plumbing issueHe will follow up with us once this is doneSince this was not put in by the policy holder we ask this be closed

We will proceed with cancelling the customers contract per section Unfortunately customer is not eligible for a full refund as their contract renewal was purchased in February of and is past the day period to be eligible for a full refundWe will process the customers cancellation
request and a check will be mailed out shortly

The oven door is not a mechanical component such as , bake elements that heat the oven, that is necessary to cook the food.Select Home Warranty doe not cover any doors of any kind only the mechanical components of an appliance or a system

We have already approved the customer for the policy limit The customer could not provide years maintenance records please see section of the terms. You are responsible for providing maintenance and cleaning by a licensed technician on covered items to ensure continued coverage
on such itemsSelect reserves the right to request prior years (3) maintenance records and/or pictures, without proper maintenance records and pictures the maximum payout on any system/appliance is up to $

I am rejecting this response because That was another complaint from last year That I had canceled because they failed to send a technician
but was also within my day refundThis is a separate account that previous one was in Tennessee this is in Pennsylvania Totally totally not true and I can send you a copy of the account

The customer placed a claim for a leaking water heaterThis is not a covered issue under the termsPlease see section of the terms This Agreement does NOT cover solar or tankless water heating systems or the components thereofThis Agreement does NOT cover the following list of

Policy agreements does not list coil as a part that is not coveredIssue is with a breakdown of the coil due to "wear and
tear", as described by the contractorSelect Home Warranty is claiming that this is not covered because it's a "freon Leak", when in fact the issue is a breaking down of the coil due to "wear and tear" as described by the contractor, and a freon leak is, among other things, an effect of the coil issueIn addition, it was a little disconcerting to hear an actual claims manager at Select Home Warranty say that "at least times out of any issue with an A/C unit or part in some way involves a freon leak or damage, so we don't cover it"I also asked that same claims manager if the exterior A/C unit exploded to due a mechanic failure of a part covered under the warranty resulting in a ton of issues, one of which would obviously be a freon leak, would that be covered?His answer was "no" because there would be a freon leak due to the explosion of the exterior A/C unit.I think this pretty much sums up the type of people we are dealing with and the illogical, and quite possibly illegal, breach of contract they are attempting

I am rejecting this response because: The warranty (please see attached) does not specific that basket strainers and sinks are not coveredNor does it states that they do not cover access to a leaky or broken pipeThey originally told me they would only pay $not $But after I emailed the claims manager Jermel, they advised the contractor they would pay $Previously, claims representative Vickoria agreed that if pay the $for the wall access, they would pay the balance of the claimI read the warranty word for wordNow per section Plumbing system, it does not specify the basket strainers and sink repairs are not covered (please see attached warrantY)Also is the additional coverage options for systems and appliances which are not coveredTherefore section is Plumbing and Lighting fixtures does not specific basket strainers and sink repairs are part of additional coverageThis is what shows needed to be purchased for additional coverage -"Plumbing fixtures: faucets filter, showers head, shower arm, electrical switches, smoke detector, florescent fixtures, Outlets, Dials, Knobs, Cartridges" So as the company's response indicated, I needed to purchase additional coverage in order for the basket strainers and sink repair to be coveredAs a customer/consumer, I do not read it that wayI know how to interpret information and unless it is specified, then I expect for it to be coveredOnce again, I am requesting a refund

Select Home Warranty requested maintenance records from the customer for the claim, the customer did no0t provide sufficient documentation, we did give them the maximum amount allowed for not having recordswhich is 150.00.Select Home Warranty has emailed the cust the reimbursement form and at this
time the customers policy has expired, we have advised the customer to sign the form and return it for prompt issue of their reimbursement

The customers claim has already been approved for the replacement parts

We spoke to the customer and we will send another $for the cancellation fee

I am rejecting this response because:
They cancelled my policy when I asked for a full refund. They went ahead and cancelled the policy regardless of what they felt like I was due and sent me a balance of what they have paid out in good will claims so far less a prorated amount of the time I have been with them. I want a full refund because they have cheated me out of my money and claims the entire time I have been with them outside of the very first claim which was $62.00. I refuse to accept the check that they gave me for $when I paid over $for this warranty. I will not accept anything until they give me a refund that is acceptable

We spoke to the customer and helped with the reimbursement
