Although I appreciate their response, I disagree that they explained the issue with the ice maker to meI only received a generic email stating to look at the attachment regarding my request I did not receive any further explanation that is why I opted to cancel Also, as far as my complaint on the service regarding the following:aThe agent I spoke to Allen gave a lot of misleading information about their services.bOnce I signed the contract and paid the 1st monthly payment on April 1, 2015, I cannot use this warranty because of a stipulation on the contract that the services cannot be used for days after payment hence binding me on this contract resulting to being charged the total of $of cancellation fees when I decided to cancel the contract. cI was charged an extra $for the technician to go to the house to check on the ice maker which was not fixed anyway.dI have paid in total $for services and fees and they are only willing to refund me $for no coverage whatsoever.None of these issues were addressed on their response. The stipulations on their contract are binding and more beneficial to them then to their customers however they have no problem with charging their customers extra fees. Also, their customer representatives are rude and unhelpful

Freon is added to an ac system when there is a hole in the coil There was a Freon lethe this machineThe policy does not cover this type of issue, The unit had a previous repair and the unit broke down because of the Freon issue the compressor seized upPlease see section

The customer is not due any approval at this time

Select Home Warranty will process the cancellation request per the cancellation procedures of the Terms & Conditions

1)It is definitely misleading for customers when this company advertises and sells its products in this wayI was persuaded to purchase longer term to get discount, not any information was delivered for the yearly reset of three-month capIn the warranty policy I got from this company, it shows as following (IN CAPITAL):PURCHASE DATE: JUNE 17, 2014, NOTE: FIVE YEARS + FREE MONTHS + FREE SERVICE CALL, EFFECTIVE 17th 2014. It clearly shows it is a whole packageNowhere mention it is five individual year productsIf as they stated, they should inform me clearlyA yearly renewal notice is definitely necessary. 2)In addition, there was a fault from this company in the process of resolving my draining issueAccording to this company, they should send me the contractor when I need repairHowever, they FAILED to do soInstead, they said they did not have technician backup for my requestThey asked me to look for other service and ask reimbursement after I pay the feeBefore I asked other service, I phoned Select to make sure there is nothing going wrong under my specific conditionNobody told me anything about the three-month new customer policy I should be appliedIf I was informed, I would try to look for other options to avoid paying $467.Those are the reasons that I cannot accept this company's act in disregarding customers benefit.Regards,

valid answer as to WHY over months still have no check, they also denied having a 30-days policy to issue this check.....to this day they still have my money, they never even considered upgrading this claim to the higher amount as promised

The customer has already been approved for the policy limit for this claim please see section of the policy "Select reserves the right to request prior years (3) maintenance records and/or pictures, without proper maintenance records and pictures the maximum payout on any
system/appliance is up to $150.00." As a good will gesture we will increase the reimbursement to $We are going above the policy terms for the customer

The customers' refund will be finalized on Wednesday, November

Instead of sending a customer a check for reimbursement we have credited her credit card

We went ahead and issued a full refund to the customerThe refund was issued directly to their original form of paymentThey should be able to view their refund on their credit card statement within the next 2-business daysNo additional funds due at this time

Since the customer filed several claims they clearly accepted our warranty agreementIn addition, our terms and conditions are present in our warranty which was sent to the customer and on our websiteNo additional funds are due at this timeCustomers warranty was cancelled out accordingly

We have had several conversations with this company regarding our policy and our claims We received a $check with no explanation of what it was for We contacted the company for an explanation and we told that this amount represents the pro-rated refund of our contractThey indicated they were basing this on the formula of a "non-discounted" premium, but could not provide us with anything showing that we paid a "discounted premium"AZ law states that a cancellation fee may not be chargedAs indicated previously, all we are asking is for Select Home Warranty to refund the $we paid for our annual contract We are not seeking reimbursement for the two covered claimsWe just want them to void the contract as if it never existed, and refund our money We are willing to absorb the cost of these covered claims, we just want a refund of the entire $ We are also working with the ** *** ** *** *** ** *** *** as well as our *** provider

The customer was already mailed a check of $back in NovemberFor the inconvenience they have experienced with our company we will send a check for the balance of $158.34, Please allow 10-days for the check to arrive,

This company is deceptive I've been
dealing with them on this claim since 12/11/ When I first called in for a leak on my pool heater and after their service technician came out for a cost of $that the heat exchanger was leaking from wear and tear 1) SHW denied the claim stating that they don't cover rust and corrosion I replied back to them that it is not due to rust and corrosion 2) SHW denied the claim the second time stating that they don't cover leaks I replied then why if I reported a leak to you as the problem with my pool heater would you not just say that you don't cover leaks The representative replied back that I am not a pool expert and that is why they still sent someone else out I replied, while I am not a pool expert I certainly know when water is coming out of my pool heater I then asked where in my contract does it state that leaks are not covered The representative told me that he was looking at the contract that I signed and that it states that leaks are not covered I asked for them to send me a copy of this contract signed by me that states that leaks are not covered The agent said he would not However via email I received a cut and paste of section of a contract They manipulated the text and inserted the word leaks and then stated that they don't cover leaks and that my claim was denied This is when I contacted the local media.3) SHW then sent me an email only after the media contacted them with a NEW cut and paste of the contract verbage from setion with the word leaks included again, however this time they said that they additionally do not cover Heat Exchangers and that my claim was denied.Finally the local media did contact me and they spoke with SHW It is now January 14th 2016, over days since my initial claim! My pool is now filled with leaves and green because I am unable to run my pump because if I do water will leak out of the heater and no doubt ruin another component of the heater I'm very upset with SHW that it has taken days, denials and that finally when the local media contacts SHW they respond with.We'll give you $as a courtesy because leaks are not included and now we've changed our contract to not include pool heat exchangers Mis-informing a customer over the phone is wrong but I can understand that perhaps the rep had poor training and/ or was new Although blatantly going in and modifying the verbage of your contract after you've already taken my money for the contract and I've signed it and then sending me back your modified contract in order to deceive me is fraud Finally - in your contract SHW it states that your contract doesn't become effective until after days of payment I understand that, however do you really think that I couldn't have waited (1) more day and after all my aggravation, my out of pocket of $to your assigned vendor and your reply back after fighting for over a month and your resolution for my pool is $This should have been resolved on day (1) period This should not have gone on for a month You should not have responded with every possible dart you had to deny any part of the claim and then on top of it commit fraud to try to convince me that it was denied all over a $and now a month later I still don't have it fixed and my pool is green $won't even cover the chemicals to get it back in order much less my time and effort to do it
