Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:
Per section of the policy we were provided it clearly states "This Agreement covers all modules, components and parts of the water necessary to the functionality of the water heaterThis Agreement does NOT cover solar or tankless water heating systems: (i) flues; (ii) drain piping; (iii) pressure reducing valve; (iv) leaks(v)pumps."Your policy indicated ALL COMPONENTS NECESSARY TO THE FUNCTIONALITY OF THE WATER HEATERSince this water heater works by storing water in a tank and heating it up to then deliver to the faucet "requesting" the hot water from its tank, it is more than clear that the water heater is not functioning properly due to the failure of the tank componentThe tank is designed to retain/hold the water and is not doing so therefore not functioning properly inhibiting its ability to perform it sole function of heating up waterYour policy is ambiguous stating that components are covered but then denying the claim by falling back on the leak portion when any consumer would classify a leak in a water heater as something external like a pipe or a pressure valve, but a faulty tank clearly affects the functionality of a water heater

Select Home Warranty has been in contact with the customer and have agreed to an amount of 200.00, we will send out a reimbursement form and once we receive it signed we will issue payment

I have attached a statement as to why I am rejecting what SWH has replied They seem to hire these incompetent technicians and then they find several reasons as to why my unit is not covered The t;technician already expressed to me before he started that SWH will not pay and they never do, because of all the fine print that is often overlooked by consumers until it is needed and then it is too late SWH already will not repair my unit because of all these diagnosis, as you read in the emails from them and the attachment they sent me is completely different from the one they just sent to the Revdex.com Please read the emails I have attached They are finding ways to not refund my money because of several different reasons noted in the emails between me and SWH Then on top of that I am still unsure what is wrong with my AC unit and I am out of $which only $will be refunded to meIf I had an independent technician to come in that would cost me additional money I just want my money back so I can find a legitimate AC repairman to come in and repair my unit It is very unfortunate that it has come to this I may not have even had to contact the Revdex.com if I could have talked to a supervisor I was shifted to several sales people, but never manager This business has had several complaints and apparently there are more than me who are dissatisfied with this company's customer service and business associates

I am attaching a copy of the email that was sent to the customer after we tried to reach them by phone again , since 8/17/and again today. The customer has a responsibility to contact us as we are available all day and speak with us

TO Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID
***, and find that this resolution is NOT satisfactory to me for the following reasons:I communicated with *** last Saturday, 9/Reason being, Select Home Warranty gave me the names of contractors last Saturday, 9/16, to contactWhat was wrong, as a paying customers "should not be" contacting the contractorsThat is for the Warranty company to do and arrange, as the policy reads.Of the contractors, are no longer in business, and haven't been for a long timecompany does not honor Select Home Warrantycompany (***) wants to be paid the "DAY OF THE JOB", therefore does not work directly with warranty companies. The last company I called said they would call Select, what they did, and select has not gotten back to them.Once contacting *** last Saturday, I received a response in email: They do not work with warranty companies.IF I wanted *** to do the repair work, "I HAD TO PAY THEM WHEN THE JOB WAS DONE", and "I WOULD HAVE TO MAKE ARRANGEMENTS FOR SELECT HOME WARRANTY TO REIMBURSE ME"THAT IS NOT ACCEPTABLE! THAT IS NOT HOW MY HOME WARRANTY WORKS.I paid for a policy, what covers REPAIRS OR REPLACEMENTI have a fee to pay at the time of service, $THAT'S IT, NO MORE.Additionally, the work is supposed to be done timelyWHAT HAS NOT HAPPENED.I have gotten nothing but a runaround with Select Home Warranty, and a different story from each person I speak to, for a weekOVER hours on the phone dealing with thisABSURD!I want this problem resolved todayI need my appliances fixed or replaced, whatever is neededI have a warranty in place, and I expect Select Home Warranty to HONOR their contract

I am rejecting this response because:
Unlike automobiles when the average person maintains an oil change every miles or a tune up ever miles or takes the car to the mechanic when a maintenance indicator light illuminates on the dashboard, HVAC units, home appliances, or electronics do not require such maintenance When you buy an appliance from Home Depot or an electronic device from Best Buy, they offer you a warranty For an additional price, the warranty will cover mechanical malfunctions within a certain time frame I have not seen any warrantees that offer tune up services where a technician will be scheduled to come on regular intervals to ensure the peak functionality of the appliance All of the cutomer service reps at Select Home Warranty admitted to not having this type of maintenance service either We are the second owners of the home and when we purchased it, we were fortunate enough to have HVAC manuals lying in dust close to the furnace I did browse through the manual and called the toll free number of the manufacturer They tried to sell me a warranty which would cover malfunction within a certain time frame Regular inspections and tune-ups were not an option When Select Home Warranty sold us their coverage, they assured us that we would have peace of mind when something breaks in our home We complied to their ridiculous requests of sending pictures of the replaced part and entire HVAC unit which required the assistance of our tennant and home managing company since we reside in another state I knew it would be a matter of time when they request something we could not produce or fabricate as justification to deny our claimIt is only a $claim whose value is already far less than the time I spent making this complaint

I am rejecting this response because:
That is not trueThe signed policy section said "all systems and appliances must be in proper working condition on the effective date of the warranty coverage" and our system was in very good working condition. Required matenance record apply only to items "have previous repair or that require repaire me to as result of improper installation"Our system is always clean and got a good care. They just use excuse to get out from expensive repair just like what they did to thousands of other victims that trust their sale repsThey also let their sale reps call and email people day and night trying to sell bad policies with fault advertising and promisPlease review thousands of complaint about their business in the net, especially for expensive items like what we experience nowThey continue to do it to innocent people every day!
