The technician [redacted] & Sons has been in business foryears and is a locally know company in the customers’ area If [redacted] & Sons felt as if they werenot going to be paid they would have never agreed to still work with us and goout to the customers home, and has serviced additional customers since thecustomers’ issue.The customer should have received a copy of the invoice from [redacted] & Sons that stated that the customer was complaining of smoke, thetech stated that the high limit switch and wires were melted, the heatexchanger is rusted and cracked, as well that the customer has a leak in theevaporator coil.All of these issues are not covered under the Terms ofAgreement, the customer should have no issue with finding out what may be wrongwith the unit if regular maintenance was performed and they have been incontact with [redacted] & Sons.The customer was emailed on 05/06/from one of ourmanager to contact us and there was no response to [redacted] s’ email whichrequested the customer to contact him to try and resolve the matter

The cusotmer has been issued a refund per the Terms of Agreement directly back to their credit card as of 02/12/

We are waiving the $cancellation fee and any unused months will be refundedThis is going above the policy terms

Select Hoem Warranty has not heard from the customer since we replied to their lawyer letter in 07/2015, our last correspondence was that we are approving the customer for the maximum amount allowed for their claim of The customer or their lawyer has not replied to the last letter we sent replying to their letter, we are still offering

I am rejecting this response because: I spoke with Select Home Warranty again and they still refuse to provide any substantiation of the value they are assigning my dishwasher They did not repair and will not pay for a "builder grade" replacement dishwasher as outlined in the contract They are instead saying that the "depreciated value" is only $(recently increased from $120), but will not provide additional information on how they arrived at this number If they are allowed to avoid paying for repairs/replacements without any substation or defined means of arriving at the depreciated value, there is no way to know what level of insurance you are purchasing for your appliances Ultimately, if the repair cost ends up higher than they want to pay, then Select is able to just make up a number and tell you that is the "depreciated value" of your appliance This leaves the insured party with no recourse or means to achieve resolution to a dispute

The Customer has been in contact with Select Home Warranty and has agreed to an amount of and we have mailed a check to the customer as of 09/08/

The customer was already refunded the $accidental overcharge on 7/6/They can contact their credit card company who can verify that the refund was already issuedWith respects to the customers electrical claim they have already been approved for a $reimbursement towards their claimWe can proceed with the reimbursement as originally approved if they wishI can have a reimbursement form sent to them right away so that their reimbursement check can be processedPlease advise at your earliest

Mr *** spoke with the customer and informed the customer that her refrigerator claim was denied. As a courtesy the customer was offered an approval towards a replacement refrigerator and they refused. The customer subsequently requested to cancel all of their warranties in place with us. Their... cancellation request has been processed per section 13.2 of the warranty. They should be receiving a check shortly.

The customer is in receipt of the check for 170.00, which we do apologize for the delay, in the matter as it was stated that the customer wanted tot cancel their policy, we did not want to send out the check and then process a cancellation The customer did not agree with the garage door claim at first, we explained that the customer can get the garage door opener fixed send in an invoice and proof of payment and we will send the check, we did honor that.We only took a while to send the check, again, because the customer stated they wanted to cancel, and we were waiting on finalization on how to proceed

The customer originally placed a claim for the HVAC unit on05/11/for the furnace making a loud noise, we sent a technician out to thecustomers’ home and it was diagnosed that the Suction line was iced up, thecoil was contaminated, and the line set was dirty.A common issue with a unit that has a frozen line is that theunit is low on freon and it is causing the line to freeze, the unit also couldnot take any freon due to the damage.If regular maintenance was performed the customer would havefound that the unit was low on freon and would have had the coils thoroughlyclean there would not be any contamination in it.Select Home Warranty does reserve the right to ask a customerfor maintenance records as well as pictures of the unit, if the customerdisagrees with this they could have imposed the question before they signed theTerms of Agreement.At this time Select Home Warranty will issue a full refundto the customer, we would like to end our relationship fully with the customerat this time

Customer has been informed that valves are not coveredCustomer will be obtaining a second opinion and will contact our office with diagnosis

We did speak with the customer and explained the situationWe did her free service call for any issues she experienced

The customer has already been informed on June 29th that their claim was denied as the indoor coil leaked freonThis is not covered under the customers contractNo additional funds are due at this time

We have been trying to reach the customer but have not heard backPlease call Mr [redacted] at ###-###-#### for help

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: they are a fraud In all my conversations with them before buying the service warranty they never said they didn't pay for installation and if that is the case why would I need their service warranty The part, the drain pump, that they claim was bad was only $as checked on-line yet they wanted to charge $to install We have now found out after purchasing the drain pump ourselves that the original drain pump wasn't bad after all as we tested it and it took less than minutes to install This means they were ripping up off for the labor or their labor fee is $an hour After replacing the drain pump the dishwasher still doesn't drain so their diagnosis was wrong and they would have wanted more money to fix it You can close this complaint as I'm just going to turn them over to the [redacted] for fraud Regards, [redacted] ***
