Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: There were four reasons we booked this specific hotel A room to sleep in for our family This room was exactly as we expected Free breakfast The breakfast was wonderful The pool - The pool was awful It had a terrible odor and the water was murky and green The common hot tub that was listed as a hotel amenity both in text and in pictures It looking at the pictures, it appears that they used to have a common hot tub, but it has since been concreted over The availability of the hot tub and heated pool were two of the four main reasons we booked this hotel We had planned an active vacation and we specifically wanted to swim and relax in the hot tub at the end of a long, active day This significantly impacted the value of this reservation I would suggest fair compensation would be a minimum 30% or somewhere around $for the loss of our important vacation activity and for the aggravation I had experienced trying to get this made right by taking valuable time out of my vacation, a few hours in total, trying to take care of this situation Even though your customer service representative read word for word that the hotel was supposed to provide a hot tub (and a pool, which wasn't useable), their insistence in not giving me any compensation caused me to loose a great deal of precious vacation timeIf you offer $as a refund, I will accept it as fair compensationSincerely, [redacted]

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: Even though I did initial the document, I did not type in that bid myself. The website automatically filled in the amount. I did not realize that the website had auto-filled that amount when I typed my initials and confirmed. Also, when a person explains that it was a mistake and they did not mean to accept that price and cannot afford it, a business who cares for their customers should take that into consideration and cancel the booking. This only leads me to assume that priceline intentionally tries to trick people by filling in the bid automatically and absolutely refuses to extend professional courtesy to their customers. Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: I checked out of the room I returned the key to the front desk and stated I couldn't stay there because of the fumes in the room I also have documented pictures of the soiled furniture and the overall uncleanliness of the room The gentleman who worked the night shift informed me that they had common complaints from Priceline customers He also stated I should refute this charge on my credit card and I should be reimbursed This hotel is proving to be lacking in honesty From the pictures on Priceline to the non-documentation of my check out People deserve a safe room( in regards to the toxic fumes) and a clean room I've attached photos of the provided room Please compare this to the photos on Priceline Please note the stains on the fabric chairs, cigarette burns on the toilet, moisture issues from the ceiling and the burnt out outlets Also the furniture was represented on the website as much nicer Thinks that can't be photoed is the non functioning phone and the smell ( which caused coughing and headaches) I can send more photos, but I reached my max allowance This hotel was not fit for occupation, and their only solution offered was to inhabit the room for hours and then see if they could replace me Sincerely, [redacted] (DisclosurePictures would not upload I can resend, but I can't send photos with them)

As you requested, we have again reviewed this matter to see if we overlooked anything that might support a more favorable conclusion. Unfortunately, there is nothing we can add to what has already been stated in our previous correspondence. According to the consumer, he/she selected a 4 star hotel, and Priceline confirmed a 2 star quality hotel. Once the consumer provides all the details of his/her trip, we summarize the consumer’s hotel request, including the star level selected, on what we refer to as the Contract Page, (attached). The consumer is then asked to review the details/summary of the trip and initial the box at the end of the summary to authorize the terms and conditions of the purchase, and confirm that the travel details provided are accurate. If the consumer’s offer summary shows a mistake, the consumer can go back and change it before he/she clicks "Buy Now."
