Review: Hi I filed a complaint and it was resolved by PNC Bank. The next week PNC reversed a credit that I never authorized and overdrawn our checking account. After I reported them to Revdex.com they reversed an 2 month charge and charge me a 37.00 fee. Paperwork was given to [redacted] Branch who faxed over information to dispute 41.90 charge we never authorized. Bank put 41.90 in my account 2 months ago and I reported them to Revdex.com last week and they reversed 41.90 from 2 months ago and purposely overdrawn joint checking account. I have a another bill coming through in 2 days and I'm putting another dollar in this account until resolve. I even asked management to do a 3 way phone call with company to prove 41.90 should of never went through account and they decline.Desired Settlement: 37.00 fee plus 41.90 for debit never authorized for month of May 2016

Review: During the 1960's or 1970's (BEFORE COMPUTERS) my parents opened at safe deposit at the bank branch office located at [redacted]. The bank name at the time was [redacted]; then National City; and this week it is PNC. Some time during the 1970's my folks added my name as a signer (AGAIN BEFORE PC) to paper signature cards. My mother died in 2008, my father in 2012. I recently got a bill under my mother's name as sole owner, for annual fee. I went to bank to close and inspect box and branch person said only my dead mother could do that; she was sole owner. Signature cards at the banks CLEARLY indicate my father accessed the box numerous times before he died and my name was also on card. Branch manager would not let me access to the box that I am a legal signer on because my name is not in PNC computer.Desired Settlement: Allow access to box that I am legal signer of and close it.

Review: Requested to get PMI removed as I've been paying regularly on my home for over 10 years. Never delinquent. Was sent a letter/contract stating that I needed an appraisal to have it removed and that it would cost me $500.00. Sent the money and the contract back signed. The appraisal was done and a letter shows up 1 week later saying that they need an additional $90.00 before they can review the appraisal. That is not good business practice. I'm infuriated and you should have gotten local quotes before you even sent the contract.Desired Settlement: I would like you to proceed and lift the PMI with the appraisal without charging me anything additionally and adhere to the original contract.

Review: PNC [redacted] branch is billing me for a safe deposit box owned by my deceased mother.
I am not the executor of the account and I was not one of the cosigners when she passed.
They added my name to a document they sent to my local branch. Next to my name is the address of my brother, [redacted] who was the executor, POA, and cosigner for the SDB.
My signature is not anywhere on the documents they sent., nor is my address.
They added my name to documents without my consent.
Vanessa H[redacted] is bank manager whom I consider negligent and did not perform due diligence with this account, Initially told me I needed to provide a death certificate, even though they had on their files that she was deceasedDesired Settlement: Removing me from all responsibity form this account

Review: I was offered $300 to open an account with PNC. I went in and talked with a lady and took my promotion print out. She signed me up. I thought everything was fine. The next day I went in to see a teller for something and she mentioned I wasn't enrolled in some online program. I told her to go ahead and enroll me. I started thinking about it and I realized that was one of the requirements for me to receive the $300 promotion. I began to worry that I wouldn't get the promotion because the lady didn't sign me up right. Sure enough, I haven't received any promotion. I tried contacting several executives but I got messages from so many different people that I'm not sure who is supposed to be helping me.Desired Settlement: I should be given the advertised promotion because I made the lady very aware I was coming in for the promotion. I gave her the print out and she made mistakes.

Review: In short, my PNC debit card was compromised and used without my authorization. While these transactions were pending, I was told by the staff at the branch I opened the account at, there was nothing I could do as far as disputing the transactions until they became posted. Wednesday evening I noticed some of the charges were posted so I called customer care. I explained my situation to a concerned man who eased my worries by crediting my account $195.00 for a purchase from FootLocker not authorized by me. I was pleasantly surprised that he extended that offer to me, however through conversation he knew the importance of me having finances to fix my vehicle so I can get to and from work. Following that conversation I noticed the credit was issued and made an emergency appointment the following morning with my mechanic. When I woke Thursday to tackle the days issues, I noticed the monies were no longer available. I went to my local branch immediately, the lady who helped me was confused. Now I look unprofessional at my employer because of this unwarranted confusion and I'm in jeopardy of losing my job because of terrible communication to a new consumer. Thanks PNC, Im losing out of work, possible job, all because of promises not given nor even asked for. The lastest story is 10 days for provisional credit at earliest. I love how consumers get taken advantage of, are without, gotta put in time to call these merchants, extremely inconvenienced, and not following through on a commitment is just plain bad business.Desired Settlement: Would like my claim escalated since the credit was given quickly before taken back . 10 days is too long after being put through all this. I would also like paid for time missed from work since according to the initial agreement would have had me back to work today. Already missed 2 full days, plus car needs another appointment to get fixed whenever my account is credited. Almost $1000 loss Im taking. Geesh!!!

Review: I was purposely misled and information was withheld in regards to banking account. The account stated a positive balance of 57 dollars on Labor Day. Over the next 4days (Tuesday-Thursday) "pending" charges that did NOT show were conveniently removed from account in addition to a 37 dollar overdraft fee. there were 7 fees totally 259 dollars to be pended. When called to correct account I was NEVER informed of the multiple fees and was told it was just 37 dollar fee and my account would be replenished. 4 MORE fees of 37 dollars were taken out and 2 more pending if I did not pay the first 5!!!! This is a scam! I opted into overdraft protection to prevent these fees!!! I WANT my money back. They stated they could only return 2 of the charges (magically not all 5). Their system was delayed and misinforming on amount available. I spent 200 dollars on coffee!!Desired Settlement: I want my money returned to me in full for THEIR system error and misinformation provided by THEIR staff.

Review: I had placed 2 stop payments on 2 separate debits to my account. When the payments were not stopped and returned until the following business day, it resulted in a total of 5 overdraft charges at $36 each. I contacted the bank and they had only refunded 2 charges. Now I have to give PNC $108 for a mistake they had made.Desired Settlement: I want three overdraft charges credited to my account at $36 each charge.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
Review: Pnc business pracrices concerning deposits and debits are deceptive. Their overdraft fees and the way and timeframes used to calculate them are deceptive, geared to hurt the customer and take advantage of them. An overdraft fee that is legitimate is understandable. What, after many months of it happening, is going on is that you cannot count on the online banking or the banking app to be accurate. Many mysterious unexplainable overdraft fees hit me ALWAYS on the night my direct deposit goes in I can add and do math. I watch my account many times a day online. Last night I DID have a check hit the day before and accepted that and the od fee. However.. after 12am, I checked my account ( yes I even check it during the night because of the way PNC tries to sneak od fees on you), and usually screen shot the image to show my balances and debits and their "pending"... now at 1230am I showed all my debits paid and the check and od paid and a balance of 1100$. THREE hours later at 345 am.. bam, SIX OD fees... from purchases on MONDAY and SUNDAY that they said were PENDING.. and didnt post until thursday night.. even though they were made 3 days ago, and showed deducted from my balance. Taking 214$ out of my account for purchases totalling about 50 bucks. Not only is that DECEPTIVE, its EXCESSIVE. Leaving me a balance of 14$ to run my family on for 7 days til next payday. I left work early to goto the w main st branch, lancaster to discuss qith "emily" and get an explaination of the "postings ", and why they didnt show posting on Thursday , but posted OD fees AFTER my direct deposit. This happens a LOT on my direct deposit nights. They cannot explain why when I make a purchase, it shows OUT of my balance, but they say it doeant REALLY come out until posting, which can be 2-3 days. But if it shows DEDUCTED from my balance on their online banking website, it shouldnt matter when it posts. I feel it is such a sneaky, deceptive software plan to gain od fees that even PNC themselves cannot explain it. I got hit for over 400$ in OD fees just this month, 95% all on my direct deposit night, as they state that pending debits hit your account before your deposit. Another tactic. Like I said, an OD fee for something they covered thats legit is understandable and accepted, BUT, pending and posting card debits of 1$, 4$, 35$ and 2$ for 36$ each fees is excessive when my direct deposit showed in system. Their software is setup to take advantage of their customers for fees... speaking with emily was pointless, as she told me that the PNC app and the online banking website are undependable and should not be relied on to track my balances. If I cant depend on PNCs website for banking info, what good is it??Desired Settlement: I feel entitled to the 6 ODs refunded, as I have suffered many more then that as a result of theae deceptive software tactics. And expect PNC to run a more accurate website, or give their professional bankers better training so they can explain to customers why theu have yaken their money. I think PNC should consider more customer centric practices like other banks such as 24 hour grace like [redacted], that allows cuatomers direct deposits to trump their debit timing practices. Be more cuatomer focused rather then bottom line focused
Review: We had a loan with PNC that was paid in full and closed out 6/2/15 (this was the last record that I had with confirmation). After a follow-up phone call to resolve a dispute regarding continued bank charges on the existing checking account after loan payoff and closure of the account, it was again guaranteed to me that ALL accounts with PNC were cancelled, all had a zero balance, and that no more issues existed. We have had no bills from PNC Bank, until I received a collection notice for $66 in the mail. It seems that there is a faulty process/system in place for your loans, bank accounts, and customer service that has now affected my credit report, which directly affects my security clearance as a federal employee. I do not recommend their services to anyone, and need assistance with getting this erroneous $66 amount taken off my credit report, and resolved with the credit agency now sending letters. Unacceptable, and I have to thank PNC Bank for attempting to tarnish my credit, and my military career.Desired Settlement: DesiredSettlementID: Correction to a credit report
I need correction to mine and my husband's credit report, and also resolve of the $66 with the credit collection agency.

Review: Christina S[redacted], Mortgage Loan Officer for PNC Bank, took our application for Mortgage Loan on July 7th with complete copies of all required paperwork submitted. Mrs. S[redacted] then informed us that she would have an answer for us in three business days. I contacted Mrs. S[redacted] on July 12th, and she informed me that she needed more information. The information she required she already had in her possession. Mrs. S[redacted] simply never reviewed it. As we left for florida to shop for our new home, we picked up our paperwork and secured other financing. Mrs S[redacted] was contacted again on July 21st by the [redacted] branch of PNC and asked to fax a copy of the Uniform Residential Loan Application. She was argumentative and unhelpful, even when the branch associate came on the speaker and verbalized this request. As a long time PNC commercial customer, this is embarrassing and stressful. I opted for financing through PNC because the local branch is in the area of our new home.Desired Settlement: I would like any inquiry to credit reporting agencies for myself or [redacted] by PNC erased. I would like an investigation by PNC into the lending practices of Mrs. Christina S[redacted]

Review: I have been with pnc for a long time. My two daughters have savings account set up though the bank. My husband passed away in 2013. When he passed away my children started to receive ssi benefits from him so I thought it would be a good time to start saving for the girls. I started to have the ssi transferred from my checking account to there savings. When I set this transaction up the bank failed to tell me that I was not a custodial on that account and the account would not be able to be accessed from me or my children. W Now the bank is telling me I have to go to court to get a document to prove im the children's mother. Very unhappy this isn't a custody matter my husband passed on. There was a dollar in these accounts before I started to transfer money to them. Im not out to take money. All the money that is in there wasn't there till almost 2 years after his passing and it all come from my checking. It has been three years since he passed and im just finding out about this now after my children has built up a lot of money in there. The bank will not transfer the money back to my checking account due to them saying it is a legal issue now til I prove im the children's mother never have I ever heard of proving mothership of children after your husband passes.Desired Settlement: DesiredSettlementID: Exchange
I would like to retrieve the money I put in the accounts so I can properly set up savings for my childern

Review: I had opened a business account with you and after the company had to be dissolved we thought that the account had been closed. I had to travel overseas for work and I didn't get any notice electronically and wasn't at the home to get any mail telling me otherwise.
Bottom line is that the account was to be closed and wasn't and since it was below the level needed to be in the account I was charged a fee monthly against the balance. Once it was caught I called in to handle the situation and explained the reason I didn't know it was still open. Since the account had multiple charges I was told a manager had to look into it.
I never received a call back and it really went by the wayside. I had called in again months later and was again told the same thing. This continued forever. Finally in the past months I again got a hold of someone who was going to handle it. They also told me that they had to talk to a manager but PROMISED I would get a call back shortly. After not getting a call back from that conversation I called in again for my final call. After over a year of waiting for them to get back to me they said they had a note on the account that showed on the last call they gave me a credit for 3!!!!!!! months charges. This is from the call I was PROMISED to hear back from. They told me that I can shut the account down and get the remaining money back, but I was told by an area representative at a branch location that if I shut down the account I was going to have zero luck getting anyone to help me. This carried on forever!!!!!!!! This is only a tiny bit of it. I was told numerous times that they were recording my conversations for quality control. I am thankful for that as I know that when someone goes back to our recordings they will see what happened, what was said and how they handled it. This situation is absolutely needed for better quality control.Desired Settlement: I am in agreement that I should have been charged three to four months of charges, but from there on I should be reimbursed all the late fees.

Review: My reserve account is connected to my Acorns account. Acorns withdrew $8.38 from my reserve account on 7/27/16, which led the account to go negative and also a charge from PNC bank for $36. When I woke up 7/28/16, I checked my accounts as I normally do and seen that my reserve balance is showing (44.38). I've contacted PNC chat to ask why my reserve account was in the negative when I had money in my checking account to cover the funds. I was told, "it's because the reserve is only set up to transfer money to the checking account if overdrawn and the growth is the 2nd account it will tap into". There is nothing to cover the reserve account which doesn't make sense, because it could have pulled the funds from my checking account. I didn't get a warning until 3:04 am EST. Being charged an overdraft fee four times the amount of the charge is ridiculous and should be considered malpractice of banking if not illegal banking.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of the 36 dollars because I did have money in my checking account to cover the charge imposed on my reserve. I also want to warn people about PNC's practice and how they operate.

Review: I deposited a check to my account made out to my dba name [redacted] as we have been doing since the account opened in 2002. All checks that we deposit are made out to [redacted]. The check was deposited on April 30th to cover payroll as I was leaving the country. Without any notice the bank returned the check to me as unpresentable because it was made out to the dba name and not the legal name of [redacted]. I was charged eight overdraft fees of $36 dollars each and a continuous overdraft fee of $21.
Since I returned from [redacted] on May 9th I have deposited 5 more checks made out to [redacted] and they have not been returned. We deposited thousands of checks made out to [redacted] prior to that and not one was ever returned as unpresentable.Desired Settlement: I would like my overdraft fees of $309 refunded.

Review: I went in to PNC bank [redacted] on April 13, 2016 to close my checking/savings account. I informed the representative that my account has been compromised and I needed to close it. She told me I couldn't close it as long as I had items pending. There were 2 transactions pending. She allowed me to withdraw the remaining balance to get the account to $0. I asked could I come back the next business day to close my account after the pending transactions cleared. She said no, that I cannot close my account until it has been inactive for 30 days. I reminded her my account was compromised and I have no control over the activity going on with my account anymore. Now it is April 20, 2016, 1 week later and the account is negative almost $500 because of fraudulent transactions and over draft fees. Had PNC allowed me to close my account when there were no pending transactions and the balance was $0, these charges would not have never occurred.Desired Settlement: I want PNC to close my account immediately and not hold me liable for charges that occurred after 4/13/16 when I brought the account to $0 and attempted to close it.
