Good experience and I received my tickets the next day
Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:? I was at the original venues site and when I went to cash out I must have hit an ad on the venue site that was designed to look like a integration of where to checkout for the Elton John concertI wouldn't have knowingly bought from a 3rd party siteI bought my tickets months in advance there is no reason for me to not buy from an exchange here where they purposely take advantage of consumersI simply believed that this site was an exchange for the venues "ticket sales", a site contracted to handle commerce for the purchases from venue (Much like PayPal acts for many services); there was no notice provided to me that I was being navigated away form the venue's siteIn terms of being available for communicationI spent over an hour waiting for a live chat professional on your site, and when I call your phone number [redacted] (Which isn't on their website I had to pull from the Revdex.com page) the automated system never gets anyone on the line no matter how many times I call and no matter what prompts I enterIf I hit it promptly hangs up on meNo wonder you don't have records of me contacting you, you've built a system that is nearly impossible to communicate with you. This whole transaction was falsely presented to me and this company's practices are deplorable, and I had to file a Revdex.com complaint to get a responseYou ought to be ashamed of yourselves, and find a way to make a living without trying to take advantage of people, and defraud them as they attempt to get tickets to a showTypically with this venue you can wait for email or go to the ticket center and pick them up, and I wasn't aware that option wouldn't be available to meThis site used marketing techniques that led me to believe I was shopping through the actual venue and they misrepresented themselves Sincerely, [redacted]
Thank you for bringing this matter to our attentionWe'd like to address the concerns regarding Ms [redacted] claim that her concert tickets were invalid upon entryWe should explain that OnlineCityTickets.com is an online exchange, which means we do not own or generate tickets--instead, we facilitate transactions between ticket buyers and ticket sellersThis fact is noted on every ticket and checkout page and at the top of our homepage with the statement: "We are a resale marketplacePrices may exceed face valueThis site is not owned by any venue." Ms [redacted] has made a serious claim and we have conducted a thorough investigation that included speaking to Ms [redacted] and the seller and providing each of them the opportunity to provide evidenceIn this case, Ms [redacted] has not provided evidence and the seller was able to obtain proof that these tickets were never scanned at the venueThis means that there is no way that Ms [redacted] presented the venue to scan the tickets at the time of the event and was denied entryIf the tickets were presented for entry, they would have been designated as "attempted" to be scanned and declined While it is rare that customers claim tickets are invalid without actually presenting them to the venue, it does occur and when we learn that is the case, we deny the refund but continue to reach out to the customerIn this case, despite the evidence definitively establishing that Ms [redacted] never attempted to use her tickets, we contacted her to resolve the matter but we were unsuccessfulIf Ms [redacted] would like to speak about this further, we encourage her to reach out to us and ask to speak to a member of our management team

Easy steps in getting tickets
? Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: II do not agree with their response and stance? Their customer service was unable to assist me? If I had known they were not affiliated with the venue I would not have ever bought tickets from them? They are deceptive and their fees are outrageous? I want their fees refunded at the very least? I will never do business with them again, they are borderline scammers.? Sincerely, [redacted] ***
Complaint: 10954775 I am rejecting this response because: Nothing they say in response to my complaint addresses the point that they used a deceitful practice (misleading URL) to lead me into their site. There are over 135 similar complaints at the Consumer Affairs website. The web page gives no clear indication that you are on a Resellers page -- The big header reads OAKLAND TICKETS, the next biggest header says BROWSE EVENTS AT FOX THEATER OAKLAND and only when you read the small print does it say anything about their being a reseller. Online City Tickets used an intentionally misleading URL to trick me into thinking I was purchasing my ticket from the box office of the venue I was buying tickets for. In my case, I wanted to buy tickets for Van Morrison at the Fox Theater in Oakland. Online City Tickets uses the URL fox.theatreoakland.com. This is intentionally deceitful. Online City Tickets may be a legitimate business (I hope so for my sake) but they operate in a sleazy fashion. Sincerely, Duane [redacted]
