Complaint: I am rejecting this response because: Nothing they say in response to my complaint addresses the point that they used a deceitful practice (misleading URL) to lead me into their site There are over similar complaints at the Consumer Affairs website.The web page gives no clear indication that you are on a Resellers page -- The big header reads OAKLAND TICKETS, the next biggest header says BROWSE EVENTS AT FOX THEATER OAKLAND and only when you read the small print does it say anything about their being a reseller Online City Tickets used an intentionally misleading URL to trick me into thinking I was purchasing my ticket from the box office of the venue I was buying tickets for In my case, I wanted to buy tickets for Van Morrison at the Fox Theater in Oakland Online City Tickets uses the URL fox.theatreoakland.com This is intentionally deceitfulOnline City Tickets may be a legitimate business (I hope so for my sake) but they operate in a sleazy fashion Sincerely, Duane [redacted]

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: I acknowledge that the terms of the agreement were given, and that I should have noticed that I only got one ticket However, given that I contacted CityTickets immediately after the transaction (within minutes), there was no reason why the transaction could not have been canceled Given the fact that I attempted to cancel the sale so quickly, and that I was buying one ticket for five times the face value, I would like to be refunded the full price Sincerely, [redacted]

Thank you for reaching out to usAt Online City Tickets, we value our customers and would like to take the time to address our customer’s concernsIt should be noted that Online City Tickets is an online resale marketplace, which means we do not own or generate tickets—instead, we merely facilitate transactions between ticket buyers and ticket sellers.The listing our customer selected was classified as Electronic TransferElectronic Transfer refers to the process of sending digital tickets from the seller to the customer using a third party website with which we have no affiliationOur customer’s valid tickets were initially transferred on 9/15/shortly after their purchaseWhen tickets are transferred customers receive an email with instructions to follow and accept their ticketsWe were later contacted by our customer on 11/29/stating that they had deleted this email in errorAt his time, as a courtesy, we contacted the seller to attempt to re-send the transfer to an alternate email addressThe seller later transferred these ticket to the Yahoo account which our customer requestedAdditionally the seller provided documentation verifying these tickets had been transferred to the correct email addressOur customer later indicated that they had not received this re-transfer; as such, we reached out to the seller again as a courtesy to see what could be done.The seller has since provided documentation that the customer accepted this transfer on 12/6/If our customer has additional questions relating to their order, we encourage them to contact us directlyAt this time, as valid tickets have been successfully transferred and accepted, we consider this matter resolvedAny additional concerns may be directed to our customer service department.Regards,Online City Tickets
