Great experience with Online City Tickets to purchase to the [redacted] concert
Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 6, 2015/04/21) */ Thank you for bringing this matter to our attentionWe take the customer experience seriously and would like to take the time to address Ms[redacted] concernsWe should explain that OnlineCityTickets.com is an online resale marketplace, which means we do not own or generate tickets--instead, we merely facilitate transactions between ticket buyers and ticket sellersThis fact is noted on every ticket and checkout page and at the top of our homepage with the statement: "We are a resale marketplacePrices may exceed face valueThis site is not owned by any venue." The prices of tickets on our site are set by the individual ticket sellers, not OnlineCityTickets, in accordance with their assessments of market factors such as customer demandThis means that ticket prices can fluctuate at any time, and sellers are notified as soon as an order is placed--a practice disclosed throughout our website and the order processFurthermore, because customers are purchasing tickets owned and listed by individual resellers, we must ensure our policies are fair to both parties Because so many sellers list tickets on our site, and because the prices of these tickets often change, typographical errors on that part of sellers that leads to pricing errors do occur in very rare casesOnlineCityTickets was notified of such a pricing error from the seller that listed the tickets that Ms [redacted] ultimately selectedAs a result, her order was ultimately canceled as a result of this error, and her tickets were invalidatedWhile we regret that Ms [redacted] experienced such an error with her order, OnlineCityTickets does not own the tickets in question--meaning that this unfortunate occurrence is beyond our controlAs mentioned above, our status as an intermediary marketplace means that we do not own tickets--and that sellers alone make the decision to withdraw tickets if they discover they have made an error in pricing or describing a listingThese facts are clearly explained in our Sales Terms and Conditions [redacted] "Since we list tickets from a large number of ticket resellers on our Site, we cannot be responsible for typographical errors within the inventory listed for saleWhen an error is found in processing your order you will be notified of the error and provided with available options, if any, as well as the option of cancelling your order." The terms that Ms [redacted] agreed to at checkout addressed the possibility of the unfortunate error that Ms [redacted] experienced, and Ms [redacted] has since been refundedWhile we regret Ms [redacted] unfortunate circumstance, we are unable to meet her desired resolutionIf Ms [redacted] has any further questions or concerns about her order, we encourage her to reach out to a member of our management team
Thank you for reaching out to usOnline City Tickets values our customers and would like to take the time to address Ms [redacted] concernsIt should be noted that Online City Tickets is an online resale marketplace, which means we do not own or generate tickets?"instead, we merely facilitate transactions between ticket buyers and ticket sellers.? Ms [redacted] has stated that she ordered tickets in Section: Row: X; this is inaccurateOur site is user-driven meaning all order details are either selected or inputted by the customer and can only be adjusted by them before placing their orderWhen Ms [redacted] viewed tickets for the [redacted] B&B Circus on 2/12/2017, she selected Section: Row: Y and proceeded to the checkout pageThis page presented Ms [redacted] with an order summary on the left-hand side of the screen repeating the event, section, row, and price and quantity of the ticketsAfter entering an email address and selecting a delivery method Ms [redacted] was directed to review her order totalShe was then presented with the bold message “all sales are final” and required to agree to our sales termsMs [redacted] then selected the “Review Order” button and was provided with a complete summary of all order details, including the seat location, and proceeded to place her order. As a secondary marketplace, Online City Ticket is not affiliated with any artist or venue and does not generate tickets as a primary box office; rather, we act as an intermediary between fans and ticket holdersSince our customers are purchasing tickets owned and listed by individual resellers, we must ensure that our policies are fair to both partiesThis means that we are unable to offer refunds and must adhere to an “all sales are final” policy?"a standard throughout the industry.Ms [redacted] received the valid tickets which she selected, Section: Row: Y, immediately after placing her order; therefore, her order was filled properlyWhen Ms [redacted] later contacted us, we clarified this information in addition to offering a one-time courtesy resolutionThis offer was made in the interest of customer service though Ms [redacted] declinedAs our site is user-driven and Ms [redacted] acquired and downloaded the exact tickets which she selected, prior to her event which has since passed, we consider this matter closedIf she has any additional concerns, we encourage Ms [redacted] to contact our customer service department so that we may address them.Regards,Online City Tickets
Thank you for reaching out to us regarding this issueAt Online City Tickets, we value our customer and appreciate the opportunity to address her concernsIt should be noted that Online City Tickets is an online resale marketplace, which means we do not own or generate tickets—instead, we merely facilitate transactions between ticket buyers and ticket sellersThis practice is disclosed and made transparent throughout our website and the order processAnd, because customers are purchasing tickets owned and listed by individual resellers, we must ensure our policies are fair to both partiesThis means that we are unable to offer refunds and must enforce an “all sales are final” policy—a standard throughout the industryThis policy is described in detail in our Sales Terms and ConditionsDuring checkout, our sales agents require that a customer verbally agree to these sales terms and conditionsOnline City Tickets has reached out to Ms [redacted] and provided a resolution that was amicable to both partiesAs such, we consider this matter resolvedIf Ms [redacted] has any further questions or concerns regarding this or any other order, we encourage her to contact a member of our customer service teamRegards, Online City Tickets
Thank you for your response regarding this matterAs we previously clarified, every order goes through numerous verification provisions; not simply authenticating email addresses.Since our customers are purchasing tickets owned and listed by individual resellers, we must ensure that our policies are fair to both partiesThis means that we are unable to offer refunds and must adhere to an “all sales are final” policy—a standard throughout the industryThis also means that the majority of any tickets sold on our site go directly to the seller, not Online City Tickets. As we have fully addressed Ms***’ concerns and provided authentic tickets prior to the event which has since passed, we consider this matter closedAs we mentioned in our previous response, should Ms [redacted] have any questions or concerns regarding the dispute process outcome, we encourage her to contact the financial institution with which it was filed.Regards,Online City Tickets
Thank you for your response regarding Ms [redacted] concernsOnline City Tickets maintains that we do not advertise as the official venueMs [redacted] suggested that this information may be disclosed in fine print, this should be noted as inaccurateAs we previously stated, directly on the homepage of our website, the following message was presented to Ms***: "We are a resale marketplace, not a box office or venueThis site is not owned by [redacted] Theater Knoxville.” This page simply displays all the tickets Online City Tickets has available for multiple events occurring at the [redacted] Theater KnoxvilleAfter she selected the event she was interested in, Ms [redacted] was shown an additional message across the top of the ticket listing
I purchased tickets from this site for a specific section and promise of row 1-9, but received tickets for a completely different section The seller claims that he sells for a "zone" and that this is comparable seating, but the seats in the section he sent to me were less costly than the ones I purchased That was why I chose that section over the section that he sent to me The ones I chose cost more so I assumed better seating In addition, the tickets he sold me days ago also cost about $less per ticket and $less service charge per ticket today with no explanation What a rip-off I will never do business with this company again
Very easy site to use
I found a good price for a very good seat the day before my eventThe electronic download and access to pay via [redacted] made my purchase simple and worry freeThis is the second time I have used Online City Tickets and I was just as pleased as the first experience!
