This unfortunately has been a long process over several weeks and now I'm at the point where several complaints are necessaryI had a brand new HVAC system installed years agoA year later the AC broke and Michael and sons spent several hot days in my house doing everything they could to hit replace it but eventually didMeaning several days wastedyears later it broke againThis took several service calls to "fix" it where they applied a "bandaid" to fix it and had to come back weeks later the spend seven hours again in a very hot house to fix itdays later it broke againAfter calling them times in one day they finally showed up at 5:in the evening to fix the problem they created, at this point my house was degreesI have now spent several weeks trying to contact someone to get some sort of compensation for this problem they have createdHonest,y feeling that if I was a man they would have taken care of this a long time agoNo one will call me back when they say they will, I'm guessing f they hope I'll just let it goI was offered a $credit which is a joke considering the time that has been spent dealing wth this product they installedAfter dealing with KM [redacted] Priscilla, Carlos, Wayne, Maurice and lastly Vance S [redacted] in customer service, I have gotten nowhere and am appalled by their dismal service and complete lack of caring for their customersI truly wish my warranty wasn't with them becaus now I'm stuck if I don't want to spend an arm and a leg the next time his new system breaks down againI warn anyone who is considering doing business with them to stear clear

Thank you for allowing us to respond to our customer's concernWe are aware of our customer's concern and we are in contact with our customer to resolve in a professional and timely mannerOur technician arrived to our customers residence yesterday morning to start the repair of the drivewayOur customer was not home but her boyfriend was there when our technician arrivedThe customer states she was told by her boyfriend that our tech was unprepared to do the job and did not have any tools Our technician was prepared and ready to start the prep work yesterday 5/11/and then return today 5/12/to lay the concrete, Our technician was told not to do the work and was escorted out and he was told that the Insurance Company was going to take care of the workYesterday afternoon our customer called in and spoke with our Plumbing Manager in which they discussed the events that took place Our plumbing manager presented some options to our customer in order to complete the work in the drivewayWe offered Wednesday to prep and complete the job the same day which means we would manually mix and pour the concrete ourselves or the other option was to prep Thursday and deliver a truck to have them pour the concrete on Friday Our customer decided to having the truck come out and pour the concrete on FridayWe are working with our customer to resolve this issue and to close this concern as satisfied
We purchased a generator on 10-29-and called Michael and Son's of Raleigh to come and wire it into the houseFor the initial inspection appointment, my husband came home from work to be there to speak with the tech himself to ensure everything was the way he wanted itThe tech Brent/Bett advised what kind of electrical box we would need and ordered the partI then receive a phone call from Michael and Son's advising the incorrect part was ordered and that they would need to order the correct one and reschedule our appointmentThe next appointment was on 11-23-16, which my husband TOOK OFF from work to be there in case there were any problems, questions or concerns that may arise When the tech Brent/Brett shows up on 11-23-16, he advises my husband that AGAIN, the wrong part was ordered and that he would be unable to complete our installationAt this point, my blood is BOILING and I call Michael and Son's to speak with someoneI was connected to the electrical manager Jason M [redacted] to whom I explained our entire ordeal up to this pointHe assured me that he would personally look into this situation and assured me that once everything was complete that he would discount our service for all the inconvenience we have enduredOn our next scheduled appointment which was 1-7-17, I called and asked to speak with Jason M [redacted] again, to ensure that both him and the tech take out all the parts to make sure these were correct, only to find out Jason was no longer thereI was connected to another manger, Lou, to whom I had to AGAIN explain the ENTIRE situation ALL OVER AGAINWhy don't they document customer's calls and issue's so we don't have to continue to repeat our concerns??? Our next rescheduled appointment was on 1-7-17, however, this was the day of the snow/ice storm in Wake and Johnston county, so yet again, our appointment was rescheduled as the tech was unable to make it out to our houseThe last appointment was on 1-16-17, in which we FINALLY got our generator installedOnce the install was complete, I called and left a voicemail for Lou, to which I have YET to receive a phone call backI called Lou again on 1-23-17, with another voicemail leftSo, from 11-1-to 1-23-17, Michael and Son's show they don't care about their customer's, guess they only want the $1,from us for the generator installThis is the WORST EXPERIENCE EVER and we will NEVER do business with them again!!!!!!!
I needed emergency service over the weekend and two days before a scheduled trip out of townI was so pleased with the promptness, courteousness, and knowledge of Ahmed in evaluating the problem and the speed with which began resolutionI was, however, disappointed in the seeming lack of communication amongst management at the call center properAt the same time I needed restoration, I also needed HVAC repairsMy experience with the technicians in the field was superb but they had to spend far too much time (at my insistence) coordinating so they'd be onsite at the same time and collaboratively trouble shooting the best course of action for both the restoration and HVAC repairsMichael & Sons is a large company with many departments that, from my observation, seemingly operate in individual silosIt's strange to me that the company does not have persons to serve as liaisons for complex jobs that involve multiple departments working simultaneouslyIt is not the responsibility of the techs in the field or the customer to be coordinating work among multiple departments, especially in emergency situations such as mineTechnicians: A+ Management: D- (but we all know that's really an F)
David we offered to reduce the bill by the freon $155, offered to come and change the contactor and I believed we offered her up to $in store creditShe declined and said the other company just gave her the money back When we didn't budge she wrote the Revdex.com She kept threatening to do it as well for almost a month or so before she finally wrote you Thanks Vance Sent from my [redacted]
I called this morning when I discovered my hot water heater was leakingwithin two hours a service man was at my house and by mid afternoon the water was replaced and I had hot water againand this was on a Saturdayexcellent service and the tech was very knowledgable and helpfulNice to have these types of cosaround
I contracted with Michael and Son to replace my heating and air conditioner units - that was a bad decision on my partThe techs that were sent to my home were nice but not knowledgeable: they must have been fresh out of school with no experienceThey caused more problems than they solvedNeedless to say, their work failed inspection by City of HamptonThe next two techs that came, attempted to repair the first groups' work but instead caused even more problemsAgain, their work failed inspectionFinally, after even more techs' visit, the Hampton Inspector passed the unitIn the meantime, the workers damaged the garage door opener light cover (it has not been properly repaired), cut a hole in the cement floor (app 4") for a "stop bar" that was unnecessary (used my shovel to mix cement, and left cement on the shovel), then removed the bar and swept cement dust in the hole and called it repairedUnnecessary holes were cut in the garage ceiling and (after inspector required repairs) nailed sheet metal rather sheet rock to cover their mistakesThe one day job of replacing the heating and the air conditioner unit took from Aug 3, to Aug 27, The office personnel were nice but did not always follow throughThey tended to do things at their convenience rather than working with the clientSuch as, taking over days to give me paperwork for a rebateMy experience with Michael and Son was horribleI would definitely not recommend this company for any workThe only recommendation I have is to stay far away from this companyI dread calling them for warranty service
We didn't have a plumbing emergency per say, water was not gushing from a broken pipe, but a DIY project was now into it's 3rd day and going no where fast It came to a point where even calling for a plumber on a Sunday was the only sane thing to do Chris Tshowed up within the window we were given when we placed the call, he assessed what needed to be done to put an end to the leaks that kept occurring each time a new fitting was added by the DYIer and went to work It only took a few minutes to properly fit and connect the parts, water back on and marriage saved Chris was very knowledgeable, friendly and made sure to clean up We wouldn't hesitate to call Michael & Son again and are considering their maintenance program for the HVAC Thanks Chris!!!
My husband called Michael and Son Services in Richmond VA to find out if they had a same day slot to fix the AC unitThe person he spoke to on the phone said they had a slot for between 4PM-8PMThe service call would be $but we had to get our credit card authorized firstThey sent us a form fairly immediatelyThere were very few fields to fill out so it took us about minutes at the most to fill it out and send it back to themHowever when we called back, they said the same day slot had been filled and that they had a weekend slot available but that the service call would cost $insteadAt that point, we told them that we would try another placeTen minutes later, they call back saying a slot had just openedGiving them the benefit of the doubt, we took the slotThe technician came to the house at 4:30PMHe said that the unit was low on refrigerant since the indoor coil was leakingIt needed a capacitor replaced as well since older system motors can cause capacitors to goTo repair would cost $3,and to get a new system (which he highly recommended) was to be between $and $We said since it was too expensive, we would first get a second opinion and then decideThe second business we called said that just the capacitor had to be replacedThe rest of the unit was fineIf there was a refrigerant leak, the coils would be encased in iceMichael and Son Services Inc Richmond VA is a dishonest business that cannot be trusted
Jeffery Kfrom Michael & Son is a gentlemen and an excellent HVAC TechnicianHe conducted himself in a professional manner, paid great attention to detail, and dilligently cleaned up after completing his work

Troy Cperformed in a very professional manner to replace a leaking faucet in our kitchen He called ahead to notify me of his expected arrival time, and arrived shortly before that time He showed me that the emergency shut-off valves were leaking when shut off to remove the existing faucet He had me dump all the water in the system and replaced the emergency shut-off valves The new faucet (purchased separately by us) was a tight fit in the underside of the countertop, causing him additional time to secure the faucet (the old faucet had not been secured properly) He persisted until the new faucet was totally secured His attitude was very positive throughout the process He cleaned up the entire area, including the removal of the water-damaged floor of the cabinet, before he left
