Convergent Outsourcing Inchas investigated Mr***'s complaintGalaxy Asset Purchasing, LLC placed this account in our office 11/22/13, to collect on their behalf Convergent Outsourcing, Inc.is a collections agency that
onlycollects on accounts placed in our office by our clients.We do not attempt to scam consumers.We have reviewed the recorded call on 01/04/ and found our agents did identify themselves by first and last name as well as our company name.However, to protect consumer information our company policy is to ensure that we are speaking to the correct party so that we do not disclose personal information. Asking for the last four digits of the social security number and address are forms of identification we use.Ms*** declined to provide the last four digits of her social security number and stated she would provide our information to her attorney.The account at that time was placed in a cease communication statusThe account was closed and returned to Galaxy Asset Purchasing, LLC on 01/04/2016.In response to this complaint, we no longer have the accountWe will provide a copy of the complaint and our response to our clientWe have not placed our information regarding the above referenced account on Ms***'s credit reportWe suggest contacting Galaxy Asset Purchasing, LLC to ensure this matter is resolved

Convergent Outsourcing, Inc., has investigated Ms***' complaint. Our client, Jefferson Capital Systems, LLC, placed the above-referenced Career Choices Meta bank account with us for collections on their behalf in
September to collect a balance of $ on their behalfAlthough Ms*** indicates the letter she received did not provide information regarding the debt, the letter we sent did provide the debt description and the balance.In response to Ms***'s communication, we have closed our file and returned the account to our client.We have not reported the Career Choices Meta bank account to the credit bureausJefferson Capital Systems, LLC, has notified us they have closed their file and terminated collection actionThey have also confirmed they have not reported any information regarding the account to the credit bureaus

Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because:I dont see how a validation letter at this point restores my credit report/history to good standing,im not aknowledging this debt, but even if I did get the validation letter I would analize the information in it if is accurate and I did a settlment for an amount less than that full amount ,(like stated in the previous message from Convergent company)only if the account is deleted completely from my credit report.Sincerely,*** ***

Convergent Outsourcing, Inchas received *** *** complaintUpon investigating *** *** complaint the two calls that had taken place on 07/11/were reviewed.On the first call,the agent asked to speak with *** ***When *** *** stated that was him, the agent advised
her name the name of our company and who she was calling on behalf of.The agent advised *** *** due to the personal nature of the call she needed to identity she had the correct party on the phone prior to disclosing personal information.The agent asked *** *** to verify either the mailing address or the last four of his social security number*** *** declined to do so,and when the agent advised she could not go further into the call *** *** used profanity and hung up.The agent placed *** *** phone number on out "do not call" list.On the second call,*** *** called Convergent Outsourcing and said we have called him and he wants us to stop calling or he would file a criminal complaintThe agent obtained the phone number and advised *** that we would stop calling.Convergent Outsourcing was unable to substantiate *** *** claim that we would not remove his phone number unless he provided his personal informationConvergent Outsourcing offers several ways for consumers to add their information to our "do not call" listConvergent Outsourcing has a do not call line at ***, our website at www.convergentusacom, verbally or by mail.We apologize for any inconvenience we may have caused and appreciate the opportunity to respond

severlattempts to reach Mr*** by phone prior to our first communication we had made with her on12/12/2016.On 12/12/2016, Convergent made our first phone contact with Ms*** who requested that wecalled her back after 6:p.mSeveral additional attempts were made to reach Ms*** whichresulted in no contact.On 01/14/2017, we reported the above referenced account to the credit bureausThe informationreported to the credit bureaus was reported with both fair and accurate information.On 1/31/2017, Ms*** called our office and paid a settlement in the amount of $On02/01/2017, Ms*** called our office and requested the information be deleted from her creditbureau.On 02/03/2017, Ms*** spoke with a supervisor in our office, who in an attempt to help resolve Ms.***'s stated dispute; advised that Convergent Outsourcing would request our information beremoved from the credit bureaus.We appreciate the opportunity to respond.Respectfully,Sarah K***Lead Compliance Representative

I am rejecting this response because: I sent a document requesting the backup and convergent couldn't provide itThey then removed their information from my credit reportNow it is back randomlyI want the back up or I want this matter closed permanently.

To Whom It May Concern,Convergent Outsourcing has received Ms***'s complaint *** placed this account with ouroffice on 06/17/2013, to collect a balance of$1,on their behalf.On 02/03/2017, Ms*** spoke with Convergent Outsourcing and she was offered a settlement onthis account
The agent advised Ms*** that her balance due was $1,and the settlement offerwas for $Ms*** agreed to the settlement offer and set up a credit card payment for $518.50at that time.Later that same day, Ms*** called Convergent Outsourcing stating that she thought she was payingfor a different * *** account Ms*** asked for a refund of the credit card payment she had made.The agent advised Ms*** that the card was still pending so it should only take about hours toreverse.During the investigation into the complaint, it appears that the request for a refund was not sent to theappropriate department, causing a delay in the refundThe refund is being reversed today and will berefunded to Ms***'s card in 3-business days.In response to the dispute on this account, Convergent Outsourcing has closed this account with ouroffice and we have returned it to ***If Ms*** has any further questions regarding theaccount she may contact *** directly.We appreciate the opportunity to respond, and apologize for the delay in Ms***'s refund request.Respectfully,Mattie G***Compliance Representative
