that she did not believe to owe the balance and that she believed this to be fraud. As of 08/27/2015, the collection activity had been suspended and the account was placed into a dispute status. In response to the complaint, we have closed the account in our office and returned it to our client. If Ms. [redacted] has any inquiries please have her contact [redacted] as Convergent Outsourcing is no longer handling the account. We appreciate the opportunity to respond.

Seems like convergent is trying to buy time on this issue. I am certain that there is not many [redacted] that have a claim with convergent that claim Reliant energy as the original debtor. I have provided a copy of the image from my kredit karma. please stop running around in circles and delete this account.

To date this is the first communication we have received on behalf of this account, notifying us that [redacted] disputes owing a balance.On 11/1412016, the account was closed in our office and returned to [redacted] per their request. We have not reported the above referenced account to the credit bureaus. Convergent Outsourcing Inc. has investigated this complaint. Palisades Collection, LLC placed this account in our office to collect a balance of $161.45  on their behalf on 05/20/2011. Convergent Outsourcing only collection on balances placed in our office by our clients, we do not attempt to...

scam consumers.On 01/29/2016, Mr. [redacted]'s, spouse called and spoke with someone in our office and advised that they did not recall this account and requested that we send them proof of the balance owed.On 01/29/2016, the account was placed in a dispute status so that we may request this information from our client.The reason the agent was not able to  provide all the identifying information is, Convergent Outsourcing does not own the account. Therefore we do not have access to see all of the account information only what is provided by our client.In response to receiving this complaint, the account has been closed in our office.We are sorry to hear you may have been a victim of fraud. We have not reported the above referenced account to the credit bureaus. We do not own the account therefore cannot guarantee resolution. We will forward a copy of this complaint and our response to our client.
