Convergent Outsourcing has received *** *** complaint and apologizes for the delay in our response.Upon investigation of *** complaint we were able to determine the following:*** *** *** has no connection with Convergent Outsourcing*** assigned the account ***
to Convergent Outsourcing to collect a balance of $on 06/06/2016, in the name of *** ***.We have confirmed on ***'s iCare support, that the account was previously assigned with *** *** Support, and assigned in *** *** name*** *** Support received a complaint through the Revdex.com and had previously mailed bill copies validating the balance owed.Convergent Outsourcing mailed a validation notice to *** *** on 06/13/*** *** states that Convergent Outsourcing has refused to provide her with validation.To date,*** *** has not requested documentation of the balance owed.Convergent Outsourcing did not report this account to the credit bureaus using a account numberThe number listed in this complaint of *** is the Convergent Outsourcing account numberWe are unable to substantiate the claim that we have failed to respond to a FTC complaint, as we have not received one on behalf of this account.We understand with the information received that *** *** refuses to pay the balancen response to this communication, Convergent Outsourcing has ceased communicationWe have updated the credit bureaus accordinglyAttached are bill copies for you to view.We appreciate the opportunity to respond

Convergent Outsourcing, Inchas received Mrs***'s complaintOur client, Jefferson Capital Systems,LLC, placed the above referenced Fingerhut Direct Marketing account with us for collections initially on11/17/2015, to collect a balance of$
Upon investigation of
Mrs***'s complaint all of the phone calls have been reviewedOn 12/10/and12/22/2015, it was found that the party on the phone identified themselves as Mrs***Both the agentswho handled the phone calls identified themselves as well as the companyMrs*** was asked to verifyher address or last four of her social security number to ensure we were speaking with the correct partybefore releasing personal private informationMrs*** did not feel comfortable providing theinformation and the calls were ended
On 05/31/2016, when calling *** a male answered the phoneThe agent stated her name andasked to speak with Mrs***The male asked "who is the bill collector''The agent asked if she had thecorrect numberThe male responded to the agent "yes and who is the bill collector calling?" When the agentasked if Mrs*** was available the male said he had a right to know who was callingThe agent tried toadvise that she had provided her name when the party said "goodbye" and hung up
Convergent Outsourcing is not able to provide personal and private information to an unauthorized partyMr.*** did not identify himself as Mrs***'s spouse
In this complaint Mrs*** states we are using a Locksmiths name on the internet To further investigatethis matter we would need further informationWhat was the phone number Mrs*** used to search onthe internet? What was the site that provided her this information? Convergent Outsourcing does not useother company's names to identify ourselves
In response to this complaint, Convergent Outsourcing has ceased communication as requestedThe phonenumber *** and *** have been placed on our "do not call" listOur client has alsonotified us that, in order to resolve Mrs***'s dispute, they too have terminated collection efforts."We apologize for any inconvenience we may have caused and appreciate the opportunity to respond
