I have reviewed the response made by...
the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.[redacted]... As I previously informed you, I contacted the cognizant dept. of the office of The Attorney General, and sent them all the documentation, which included some of the conversation I had with you of the Revdex.com. They recently sent me a physical letter, notifying me that they did locate the subject company and requested that they (carautocovers.com) contact me regarding my complaint against them. I was contacted a couple of days ago via my cell phone. To make a longer story short, the person I was conversing with did admit that the material used (which is 90% + of the product of concern) was imported material. The only other item left was the thread required to sew and assemble the car cover, and this more than likely was also imported. But, according to this person, the cover is assembled in the USA, which is then legal to use the term "Made in the USA". I absolutely do not agree with this. In their online advertisement they should say....Assembled in the USA with imported materials. They offered a full refund on the purchase price, and that I could keep the product. I did not request this, but they made the offer, and I accepted, mainly because of the time and trouble it has taken me to follow through on this case. I appreciate your time and assistance concerning this complaint. Sincerely, [redacted]

[redacted], and have determined that this proposed action does not fully resolve my complaint.I have repeatedly asked the business to provide the date(s) and card(s) to which refunds were applied.
The only one I am aware of is a $20 reversal to the card ending in [redacted] on October 11, 2016.

Hello, It is very simple. If you are not happy with the fit, we fist ask you to send pictures to [redacted] in order to try to get you a better fitting cover. If you still don't want the cover, simply ask for the return instructions and we will send you everything you...
need. Thank you
Hello, The refund was done today. We do not pay for the return shipping, the customer knew that from the begging. Thanks
Firstly the website CarAutoCovers.com makes it appear to be a competent company, by flashing all of these guarantees, such as guaranteed fit, lifetime warranty, no hassle returns, money back guaranteed, but I have yet to get them to hold up on any of these claims. There is a bunch of fake costumer 5 star ratings on all of their products. The site also always advertises "50% off for limited time" all of the time. When I purchased my cover, I selected the make model and year of my car and received what was supposed to be a guaranteed fit, but when I put it on my car it was too short and didn't fit over the front or back bumper. Within a week the cover was blown off of my car, snapping both cheaply made clips that held the cover on. I talked to a sales representative who gave me a phone number for the return department. That number was just a recording of the email address they wanted you to use, which resulted in me emailing back and forth for over a month and still have nothing resolved. They tried to push a generic cover on me, I opted to just return the cover and get my "guaranteed money back" "hassle free". They gave me two options. Option 1, they would refund me 50% of my money and I could keep my cover, which made me really question the true value of these covers. Option 2, I would have to cover the cost of shipping it back to them, with a tracking number and a $20 insurance. It must be USPS and not UPS, as they would reject all UPS shipments...
Overall the quality of these covers is not worth the amount spent. The customer service is non existent. Most likely a scam.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed...
the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. However, the resolution I desired was to receive the correct cover for the vehicle I ordered. I was finally able to speak with [redacted] at the warehouse and he confirmed by the part number on the cover I received, that the cover sent was for a long bed truck and not the short bed version that I ordered. [redacted] stated he would ship the correct cover and a return label for me to return the incorrect cover. This would be the most helpful resolution as I would really like the correct cover that fits my truck, which is why I ordered the cover over a month ago now and have been steadfast in my effort to get the correct cover. All I have wanted through this process is the correct cover I ordered. It became very frustrating that after notifying the company that I had received the incorrect cover, I was told that the cover I received is the best fit the company could provide and I knew that was not correct because I have purchased multiple covers for the same vehicle from this company. I felt I was pushed aside and offered a partial refund just to go away and my concerns were not addressed, instead of listening to my issue and considering the idea that the company shipped the wrong cover by mistake. I would certainly appreciate a refund in full, but my ultimate goal is to obtain a cover to protect my vehicle. Once I finally had the opportunity to speak to the warehouse/parts manager [redacted] did confirm the cover sent to me was not the correct cover for my vehicle and he quickly identified the mistake and shipped me the correct cover (I hope), which I am waiting to arrive this week. I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.

ONE WORD TO...
DESCRIBE [redacted] HORRIFIC!!"[redacted]" whom is the claimed "manager" for [redacted] failed to respond to a voicemail I left with him on Monday. On Tuesday I proceeded in calling him again and managed to reach him on his secret extension number (7).His manner was much the same manner as his other staff's (utterly unapologetic over the fact that his company made a mistake in sending me a cover that was made for a totally different car). My request for him was a simple one. 1. Send me out a return shipment authorization so that they can get the cover back into their inventory and sold to someone who can use it.2. Refund my purchase. He repeatedly said that even if it was their mistake in sending me the incorrect fitment, that I would have to pay to ship it back to them and supply them with pictures showing it was incorrect on top of that! Upon receival of the cover and the pictures, they would then make a determination assumably on the visual evidence and possibly send me out another cover to which at this point I have no interest in owning from them. No refund of the purchase (other than keeping it at 50% of initial cost) and no return shipment was to be offered at all. I'm not quite sure as how this can be viewed as fixing a problem they completely generated themselves and to which their response to the Revdex.com was one of desiring to rectify.Furthermore, this is completely contrary to what their website states. The number they provide on their website to call and discuss potential issues is also an utter fallacy. They only "handle" issues via email unless you get agencies like the Revdex.com involved. Even then they still do not do the right thing and only offer to send you out another potentially incorrect cover as a solution AFTER you have payed for shipping of the first incorrect one back to them. It bewilders me how a company so flawed in operation is even in operation. DO YOURSELF A HUGE FAVOR AND STAY AWAY FROM THIS HORRIFICALLY OPERATED COMPANY!! [redacted] IS THEE WORST BUSINESS I HAVE EVER ENDURED!! DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE OR GET CAUGHT UP IN THEIR FLASHY AND MISLEADING WEBSITE!!

The company states in their response that the return shipping is at our cost and this is the major issue with this complaint. It will cost of $50.00 to sent the cover back. . This is a defective cover and the company should pay all cost necessary to satisfy this complaint. The company can refund the balance of the cover or send a fully paid shipping label at their cost to return the defective cover.
Tried to return an unopened cover past 30 days. They refused to allow a return and were rude on the phone. Spoke to the "supervisor" - he was equally unhelpful and hung up on me. I would not recommend doing business with this establishment.
