Review: I ordered a car cover from them on 10/9/2015 and paid $144.99, order no [redacted]. I received the cover, but never opened the box. They shipped it to me via United Parcel Service. I took it back to a UPS office and they allowed me to send it back with no fee under "return to sender" status. I think that I dropped it off at UPS on 10/24/2015, but UPS confirmed that it was delivered, received, and signed for by "[redacted]" at their office on 10/26/2015, under UPS Tracking No [redacted]. I spoke with Carautocovers.com on 11/11/2015 and a middle eastern man who claimed to be the manager said that since I did not follow their return procedure, they will not refund my money, and there is nothing that I can do about it.

The product was returned in the exact condition it was shipped in since I did not open the box so they can sell it to someone else. They could and should open the box to check the condition of the product to make sure that it is resellable and look at the enclosed invoice to see who returned it, and then post a refund to the customer's credit card that returned it. Am I missing something? This is simple.Desired Settlement: I want the exact amount that I paid credited back to my credit card.

Hello,

This has to be one of the worst scams out there. Firstly, the covers do NOT fit their description. They are not a custom fit, rather a "let's make this work" fit. The quality is by far the 5 layer protection as the website describes. It is a thin piece of fabric that probably provides minimal protection. But the killer is the customer service! This company has hung up on me not once, but THREE times when calling to inquire about my purchase. I ordered the 5 layer cover for an Acura sedan. Not only does the cover not fit well, it did not come with the cable and lock as promised nor does it show any means of weather protection for my car. The fact that their website states that returns are made "easy" is the biggest joke of all. It's really hard to request a refund when a company refuses to email you back and hangs up on you multiple times. Spare yourself and avoid this scam!!

I ordered a cover on November 25, 2014. Never received it so I emailed and they said it was being shipped out that day. It didn't so I emailed again and got the same response. It never showed up and they cancelled the order. They left me without a Christmas present for my Father. Worst company experience to date.

Great online shopping experience. They stand by their products. Many of my friends also ordered from them and they absolutely love the cover. Great product and amazing customer service. Fast shipping. I recommend you get the 5 layers cover it is just marvellous and it fits like a glove.

Review: They advertise that their car covers are waterproof. The one for my Honda Odyssey that I ordered was the most expensive car cover offered and they guaranteed it to be waterproof. The water went straight through the car cover and froze on to my car! It would have ruined the paint if I had not noticed it. I ordered a total of three car covers for three different cars. One was the wrong cover entirely. The other one was never opened do to the problems with the other two. They forced me to pay shipping back to them! I want my shipping back for defective products! They warrant and guarantee their products (So They State). However, poor customer service said I have to pay to ship them back to them. It cost me $88.16 to mail them back to them. It was not my fault they sold a defective item and sent the wrong car cover. Please refund my shipping charges for your defective products!! I ordered these at the end of December. I received no invoice. The products came late but by the end of the first week of January. Still received no invoice and customer service by email was rude.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund of all three products including my shipping of $88.16. VISA has been contacted about the items. Items have been shipped back with tracking numbers. I never want to deal with this company again.

Hello,

Review: I purchased car cover $144.99 on 5/17/2014 & received the cover within a few days. The cover is suppose to be 100% waterproof stated on their website. Within 4 mos it wasn't waterproof any more. On 10/5/2014, I followed their instructions on their website under warranty policy. They responded by email 10/7/2014: (Hello Dear Customer, We have analyzed the situation and we have determined that you are entitled for a replacement cover. You have nothing else to do but to wait for your new cover. Thank you for your patience in advance. Please understand that it can take up to 15 business days for you to receive the new cover. Thank you for understanding CarAutoCover.com). On 10/22/2014, I emailed them asking for an update on the replacement cover. Received their response 10/26/2014: (Your cover will be leaving the warehouse by the end of this week. Please understand that we had a production defect and we had to redo all of last week's production that is why the cover will be a bit late. We are very sorry for the inconvenience, the package will be leaving today or tomorrow and you will get an email with the tracking information. Thanks). On 11/9/2014, chatted online with [redacted]. Asked to speak to owner of company. Said he wasn't available on Sunday. He asked if he could help. I stated my situation and he looked up my order. Then responded with what seems like a pre-written response; "Your cover will be leaving the warehouse by the end of this week. Please understand that we had a production defect and we had to redo all of last week's production that is why the cover will be a bit late. We are very sorry for the inconvenience, the package will be leaving today or tomorrow and you will get an email with the tracking information". Chatted again on 11/18/2014, [redacted] again. Gave me the same pre-written response. Told him unacceptable. Last response was "we will ship it out by the end of the week". Still waiting as of 1/14/2015.Desired Settlement: This company has to fulfill their warranty policy and replace the merchandise. Plus stop eluding the customer. I want full refund back on my credit card and have nothing else to do with this business.

Review: Car Auto Covers sent the wrong cover ([redacted]). When I called them, they stated they no longer stocked the correct one ([redacted]) and would get back to me about another that might fit. I told them I didn't want to play a guessing game as the car was roughly 3 hours drive (round trip) plus the expense of a ferry ride to get to. I was given two options; the first was to keep the one I had and they would refund 50% of the cost back to my account, "without any questions." The cover they sent me would have most likely fit a full size [redacted] but was far too large for my [redacted]. Additionally, the tie-down strap were so far from where they should have been i.e. too close to the center of the cover, that it appeared to be a mistake in manufacturing. The second option was to send it back and receive a full refund, including return shipping costs as per their written policy which states; SURE-FIT GUARANTEE:Our first commitment when buying a Car Cover is to your satisfaction. That's why CarAutoCovers.com is the only manufacturer in the country to offer you a Sure-Fit Guarantee. We guarantee that every Car Cover purchased will fit the vehicle it was ordered for. If you are not satisfied with the fit, does not fit correctly your vehicle or if we accidentally send the wrong Car Cover for your vehicle, contact us within 30 days of when you receive the cover and we will happy to exchange the incorrect Car Cover for the correct size at no additional cost. For orders placed during the holiday season from November 15th to December 31st, the return period is extended to 60 days. If we cannot offer a replacement that fits your vehicle, the customer will be issued a full refund including all original and return shipping costs.I emailed them the totals and received a credit for the cost of the cover only. I emailed and told them it was $44.80 short due to return shipping costs. To this I received; Hello, Our company policy is that we do not pay for return shipping. ThanksDesired Settlement: I'm requesting $44.80 in return shipping fees. I see they have quickly changed the language in their guarantee to now read;"Sure-fit guaranteeIf you are not satisfied with the fit, does not fit correctly your vehicle or if we accidentally send the wrong Car Cover for your vehicle, contact us within 30 days of when you receive the cover and we will happy to exchange the incorrect Car Cover for the correct size at no additional cost." Pretty clever of them!!

Hello,

I purchased a car cover from CarAutoCovers, within less then a year the car cover did not withstand the California sun. The cover devleop holes and sun damage in less then a year of use. Since the car cover was still under warranty, I sent an email to the company explaining the situation. They asked me to send them pictures and they would replace it with a new car cover. They asked me to pay the $20.00 shipping, I agreed and gave them my credit card number. A month went by and I never received a replacement. I called and someone on the phone lied and said that the car cover was shipped and gave me a fake tracking number. I called again 3 weeks later and they said that they would ship it that day. In short, this company did not stand by their warranty and took another $20.00 from me and I never received a replacement. They were rude and hang up on me when I called back to ask for a refund. I would like others to "BE AWARE" before doing business with CarAutoCovers.com.

Review: Bought their top of the line cover 5 layer for my car that sits outdoors for about 9 months out of the year. About 10 months after receiving my cover I noticed that it was falling apart in that it was leaving a powdery substance on the car so I contacted them and they honestly did replace it rather quick. They stated that I must have received a bad cover. Well 8 months after the replacement cover was received the same thing is happening so I contacted them again and now want me to pay $40 for a replacement cover as their policy is to only replace 1 cover for free. (maybe for indoor use it will do fine but the cover I bought states for outdoor use safe for snow and ice)So that means that every 8-10 months I will need to buy a replacement $40 cover? Going back and forth with emails is no help and they state that there is no one else to talk to but to the person on email...Save your money and dont buy their crap. They dont stand behind the warranty they state on their site and their customer service sucks. On to the Revdex.com it is for me now.Desired Settlement: I want a refund and they need to update their warranty information to state that as the customer service rep indicated, using the cover in the means I did would cause it to break apart.

Hello,

Review: I purchased a car cover from them on 12/5/14. I still had not received it by 12/22/14 so I called and canceled the order because I kept getting told that UPS kept forgetting to pick my order up form the plant. I was told that I was already refunded when they hadn't even asked for my order number or name. I still have not received my refund back as of 1/5/15. Anytime you call to speak with a customer service representative and they are not helpful and just say I have been refunded and hang up. I've even called for simple information like their address and they will not provided that to me. I just want my refund of $144.99 since I have not received the product I have ordered. They are not helpful at all and don't seem to care about fixing the situation.Desired Settlement: I just want my money back.

Thanks

Review: I purchased an automobile cover on April 23, 2015 for my 2015 [redacted]. I ordered and received a five layer automobile cover that had a lifetime guarantee. I called CarAutoCovers and spoke to a representative about washing the cover and was instructed to wash the cover in cold water without soap. I did exactly as instructed and a belt in the front of the cover was damaged with some resulting holes also in the front. I again called the company and was told to take pictures of the damage stated and email the photos along with a brief synopsis of what occurred. After review of the photos and information submitted, I received an email responding that the warranty personnel reviewed the pictures and I was eligible for a new cover. I was given a claim number ([redacted]) and told to call the company to personally speak to the warranty department. The person I spoke with asked me for an order number that I do not have and I asked him to look me up in his computer because all my information should be in there. I was told that my information was not in their computer and was rudely told that I did not purchase the cover from them. I told him that I knew who I purchased this item from and I was looking at my bank statement and it states that payment was sent to them. I called back a second time and explained the situation to another gentleman who took all my information and stated he would take this to his manager and call me back. I have waited several days without receiving any response. Not only have I not received any response from the company, the representatives I have spoken to were either very rude or not helpful. I would like to receive a replacement cover or a refund.Desired Settlement: Replacement of damaged product or refund

Hello,

Review: I bought a car cover from this company on June 12th. I noticed today that the car cover is already falling apart. The top layer is already coming off in pieces and if you touch it, your whole hand gets covered. I called the customer rep who had no concern at all. He only told me to email the company. He said to send pics and include my order #. I don't have my order number any longer and I can't go back far enough in my emails to find it. He said they won't do anything whatsoever without my order number. I have a hard time believing that this company has no other way of looking up my order besides just with my order #. I can provide everything else, name, location, credit card used. But he said the warranty isn't good unless I provide that order number. I asked to speak with a supervisor and he said it was him. There has to be some sort of history kept on all orders placed that can be accessed with other information besides the order number.Desired Settlement: I want a brand new car cover sent to me. My current car cover shouldn't be falling apart after 3 months, especially living in CA that doesn't have severe weather! I'll mail back the original car cover if the company pays for the shipping. I can provide whatever pics are needed to prove it's not of good quality.

The company has a strict policy in keeping the order numbers for warranty claims. If the customer does not provide the number then we cannot proceed with a warranty claim.

Review: On August 13, 2014, I notified the company that their product had failed and could I get a replacement. I was told that if I sent in pictures of the issue, they would send out a new car cover. I did so on August 13, 2014. A week went by and no word from the company and I didn't receive a replacement. I then contacted them by phone and was told to email their warranty department along with sending the pictures and I have still not heard from anyone at the company. I called this morning and was told that everyone was out on vacation and wouldn't be back until September 1. I feel I am getting the run around. I have asked for a refund and I find it hard to believe that there is no one in the company that can get this accomplished. I feel that once they received my payment for this product that they are done with me and couldn't care less that their product was faulty and I have paid for something that I cannot use. Since August 13 I have spoken to a representative at the company twice and chatted on the internet with a representative once and they all tell me that they have either gone home for the day or are on vacation. I am very displeased and need resolution to this matter. I do not like their business practices and the quality of their product did not live up to their statements on their website.Desired Settlement: I want a complete refund. I would like them to send the refund back to my credit card.

Hello,

Review: carautocovers.com states, on their website, that the product I purchased from them (online purchase) is Made In The USA. I have great reason to believe that this product and the accompanying documentation is not of USA manufacture? I have emailed them three times and politely asked for evidence that indeed the product shipped to me was made in the USA. I have yet to receive any response. I submitted the 4th request via email today. Based on the first unanswered emails, I think it safe to assume that this 4th request will also be ignored. For the simple fact, that they do not respond, definitely suggests to me that the product, most likely, is not of USA manufacture. Their website: www.carautocovers.com stipulates in more than one place that the item is of USA manufacture. All I'm requesting, is some evidence that their claim is true.Desired Settlement: Some evidence/confirmation, that proves that their product is, in fact, "Made In The USA."

Hello,

Review: I ordered a car cover for a 2011 Chevy Camaro (http://www.carautocovers.com/2011/chevrolet/camaro/chevrolet-camaro-2011-coupe-... />
which was to be a 3 layer cover. When the cover arrived, it was only a single layer cover. I called and talked with the service rep and was told that the website showing wrong item, (The website is still showing the "wrong item") and now it has been 2 weeks since I ordered the item. I was told I could return the item for a refund, BUT, I would have to pay for return postage. This was not my mistake! They advertised one item and sent another. I have sent 2 emails to them about this situation and have heard no response. Since I paid using PayPal services, I also filed a complaint with them.Desired Settlement: I would like the correct cover along with a return prepaid postage label to be used to return the wrong cover.

Hello,

Tried to return an unopened cover past 30 days. They refused to allow a return and were rude on the phone. Spoke to the "supervisor" - he was equally unhelpful and hung up on me. I would not recommend doing business with this establishment.

I am very unhappy with the company and the cover I purchased in May of 2015. I purchased the most expensive cover that would protect against sun damage. When I returned to Florida in November and removed the cover, the paint on the hood of my 2009 Hyundai Elantra was damaged. When I called to talk to someone in customer service I was told to submit an RMA. When I submitted the RNA I was told I had 30 days to get a refund and the 30 days had expired. This was through email. I asked to speak with someone regarding the damage to my car and was told they only communicate through email. I did speak to a very rude customer support person who was no help at all. Still have not heard from anyone.

Review: I purchased the best outdoor auto cover for my truck from this company in April 2014, which came with a "Lifetime Warranty". I began using it in May. By mid July the cover began turning white and leaving a residue of fine white particles on my truck. By mid August the top layer of the cover had disintegrated. I sent photos to the company and received an e-mail stating that I would receive a replacement within 2 weeks. It has now been 2 1/2 months since the replacement was "authorized", and I still have not received one. Calling the company regarding a warranty claim only leads to a recorded message on how to return the cover. Talking to a sales person, who was rude and insulting, got me nowhere. Repeated emails to their "warranty" department went unanswered unless I threatened to file complaints. Each time I did that I was told that my cover had been "back ordered", and would be shipped "tomorrow", "today", or "by the end of the week". Similar to "your check is in the mail". I still have not received a cover, a shipment tracking number (which I requested each time), or any emails updating me as to the status of the shipment except when I threaten to file a complaint.Desired Settlement: At this point I have no confidence that even if they send me a replacement cover (which seems very unlikely given the above) that it will hold up for more than a few months despite their "lifetime" claim.

Hello,

I recently ordered a 5 ply car cover on sale for $1*5 (a sale that was ending that night and still hasn't ended 3 weeks later)! I entered all info about car correctly thinking item would fit? Cover arrived and did not fit-it was too small! Called sales phone number and asked the guy what vehicles the 6 digit # inside cover fit? He got offended and said-"you did not order a custom cover"! No, but I did order one to fit! I told him I wanted to return it, he told me to send email to [email protected] and they would respond with instructions w/in 1 day. * days later I called again, after they did not respond. I asked what the return policy was in the event it did not fit? He said "are you trying to trick me?" After 7 days he responded, offering a 60% refund no questions asked! WTF? Keep in mind this car is so nice I wanna cover it, he sent me something that might fit a VW Bug and now he wants to keep *0%.........I wish I would have read this page first! Please do yourself a favor and do not buy from this person: my shipping label names "him" as [redacted], **SSN[redacted]

I purchased my car cover in May of 2014. It started peeling in October of 2014. I did as the warranty process instructed; take photos of the defected areas of the car cover, attached them to an email and forwarded it to warranty@carautocovers. I received a reply email indicating that I was "entitled to a replacement cover" stating that there would be delivered within 15 working days
