All My Sons Moving & Storage Reviews (%countItem)

All my sons were scheduled to help us move on Monday June 26th at 7:30 AM, they called at 7:45 Am saying their movers wouldn't come.
I had reserved all my sons, Dallas for helping us load our 3 bedroom home into three UPACK Pods for June 26th Monday and had paid a 200$ deposit for reserving their services. One of the "owners" ( I believe all employees are owners, or atleast that is what they claim) called on the saturday preceeding the move and asked for details of the move, like how many boxes, what furniture etc., and then said they would be here on that Monday at 7:30 AM. At 7:45 AM on the day of, another "owner", I think his name was Pat, called and said no movers would be coming and the reason cited was apparently 15 of their guys did not show up for work that day. So we asked for alternatives, like the day after, the day after that etc.,they were "booked solid" for weeks We were refunded the deposit the next day. No apologies, nothing else.

Desired Outcome

I would like a written apology for the lack of apology on one of the most stressful days and I would like them to pay us for the extra money we paid the other movers because we reserved the same day, around $385.

All My Sons Moving & Storage Response

We are very sorry we were unable to service you, it makes us so unhappy when we cannot service our customers, we want all of our customers to be happy all the time. We did have an influx of very sick movers and over 15 men did not arrive. we hope you will accept out sincerest apology and understand we hate it when we fail and we are sorry we failed you.

All My Sons Moving & Storage Response

I cannot read or understand the complaint, however it looks like they have our information to call for a resolution, which is 214-329-0511

This moving company cancelled on us last minute. They did not give us 24 hours to cancel the contract and now refuse to give us the deposit back
We had a contract with the company to move on July 3rd, 2017 at 7:30 am. They called us at 8 am that day to tell us they had to cancel and they could move us wednesday. We told them that was unacceptable as we had to be out of our apartment that day. We relied on their contract and lost money to our detriment in forcing us to move ourselves. They said we could not claim our deposit back because we did not give them enough notice of cancellation after they cancelled on us

Desired Outcome

We would like our $200 deposit back as they cancelled our services the day they were supposed to perform

All My Sons Moving & Storage Response

The deposit has been refunded.

All My Sons Moving-worst experience. Owner called to send 3rd guy because of heat. I agreed even with the extra charge as he told me the move would go quicker. They sent a guy with a broken ankle on light duty, a guy with heat exhaustion, cramping from the day before, and a guy who couldn't lift anything heavy. Took them twice as long as another company that moved me 6 months earlier into a rental while new home being built. Only took furniture, no boxes as they got tired before loading them so I had to move them. Charge me 2 1/2 times what the other company charged. Unbelievable that they would take advantage. Horrible company, owner sent me an email to call me, sent him my number, never heard from him yet. I would never recommend this company to anyone. Charge me over $1,000.00 to move me less than 5 miles, other company charged me $450.00 for the exact same load. I was trying to give local business work but will stick with other company ***, highly recommend them)

This is the worst moving company I have ever experienced. On the binding contract they had the wrong date to pick-up date and no delivery date. The contract also said there would be 3 movers. There were 3 to load and 2 to unload but was charged for 3. They were told that unload date would be 6/21 as my closing on my house wasn't until 6/20. The were going to charge me $150.00 per day while my furniture was in the truck at their office in GA. There is next day delivery and Advanced Delivery and I told Will (the representative that came out to my place in FL to do the binder contract) I told him that it would be the Advanced Delivery and he said that would be fine but never mentioned the $150.00 per day for holding my furniture on the truck. I got my son involved as he works as a manager for a trucking company and the Manager-Maverick called me and told me that he did not want to speak to him again. By the way, my son did not use any cursing or yelling. Maverick just didn't like anyone telling him how a trucking company should be handled.
They told me that they would not wait until 6/21 to unload and they were coming on 6/20. My closing was not until 3:00 and they would not come to unload at 5:00. I had to try to move my closing time but could not, so I called my realtor she had to do a 1 day tenant lease in order for me to get the key prior to closing.
They showed up 3 hours late. I had to leave at 2:00 for my closing. I had to call my daughter-in-law to come and stay at the house while they were still moving my stuff in. They were in such a hurry that they did not put my desk together correctly. They left a piece off and crammed the piece of the desk under the desk and caused severe damage to the desk return. I even had the directions I kept on how to put the desk together, obviously they didn't use them. I took the return portion out from under the desk and placed the back piece that they just left off and tried to put it back correctly and there were 2 very large gouges in the return.
I have emailed the company for the damages with pictures, so I *** see how they handle this damage claim.
DO NOT UTILIZE THIS COMPANY FOR MOVING UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES! ALSO, THEY CHARGE THE SAME AMOUNT AS UNITED VAN LINES AND OTHER REPUTABLE MOVING COMPANIES. IT COST ME OVER $3,700.00 (NOT A LARGE LOAD/AVERAGE)!!!!!

Quoted one price and charged 5 times the amount
We were quoted 300-400 range and ended up having to pay about 1500.00. (see below as to why we paid it)

This is who we used when we moved in January and they charged us 5 times the amount of the original quote and would not finish unpacking our stuff until we paid and signed the paperwork. (they booked it COMPLETELY WRONG and the company originally didn't even send anyone out to give a quote just did it over the phone and we made sure to tell them EVERYTHING we had plus a storage unit full of stuff)

When I called the manager he tried to put it on us that the price would have been about the same had we had more guys than the TWO they sent to move us in to our 2800 sq ft two story house and they make it SUPER difficult to file any claims. (you have to fill out a paper about what was broken ad the issues are, take pictures of the stuff, get it notarized and THEN you can turn it in to be looked at) We couldn't even take a picture of one thing that was broken (a really nice microwave) b.c they took it with them.

THEY ARE REALLY UNTRUSTWORTHY and I would NEVER recommend them.

I told the manager once I FINALLY got ahold of him, "See the thing is Im not in the moving business so how would I have known what the difference in cost would be? It was not told to us there was any difference we were told one hourly rate. SO YOUR GUY DIDNT DO HIS JOB." - (just got more excuses and him trying to put it back on me)

please contact me for ay more details about this.

We would like to have a billing adjustment for this charge as we were not planning on paying this high of an amount which really stressed our budget as you can imagine.

Desired Outcome

I would like for them to refund a good portion of this money and have to change their policy about being forth coming with charges and the difference in hourly rates etc.

They never showed up on moving day, and never called to cancel!! I was a past customer of All My Sons Movers in Charlotte NC, so when we were ready to move to our new place I immediately called and booked our upcoming move with them again. I called them over a month and half before our move date (move date was 6/16/17) to make sure we had a Friday Morning move and gave them a $100 deposit. I had email and phone call confirmations with their office the week and day before the move (and still have the email confirmations). We expected them to show up during the 8-9am window they gave us, so by 9:20am I called to make sure everything was ok with the crew. A gentlemen answered the phone and very rudely informed me that they had some problems and could not get a crew out to me until the following Wednesday. When I asked if they can recommend another company they told me they don't work with anyone else. They offered no assistance or anything to get us out of the predicament they put us in. Moving is stressful enough, to hear some rude comments back with no remorse, no offer of the refund of my money, when they never even called me to cancel, was uncalled for considering they were at fault. After calling several companies who were all booked up I called all my sons back to see what else they could do. After a few apologies from another man on the phone, they confirmed now they could all of sudden come out on Monday. We had to close on our house and be out before then and when I told him this I started crying, and although he apologized he then hung up on me. What horrible customer service this company has. I then had to call back 2 more times before a very nice lady sincerely apologized and explained that they would then be able to give my deposit back. We wound up having to pay for a UHUAL and do 2 rooms ourselves last minute before another moving company we contacted were able to stay and help us after their other moves that day. Please be warned that even with confirmation, All My Sons may not show up on your moving day. They are a company you cannot trust and I would never even consider booking with them again.

I contacted All My Sons (AMS) for a very brief move 5 mins down the street. I was moving from a floor level apartment to a 5th floor apartment and my brother was out of town so I had no help. I was quoted $129/hr over the phone for the move and some other charges were very vaguely mentioned with no explanation of estimated total costs. No one even came out for a pre-screening of my old apartment to get a more accurate estimate. It took the movers 2 hours to pack the truck with my items and they then traveled to my new apartment. Oddly enough I was then required to pay for the ENTIRE move PRIOR to the truck even being offloaded. This did not make sense to me but my furniture was essentially being held hostage so I paid the total of $728 which was about $200 more than I anticipated the total cost being. Turns out, other hidden fees not mentioned during the initial quote are added as well. After speaking with the local office I was informed that the total cost of the move is based off of a ballpark estimate of how long it would take to offload the truck. This bothers me because cost is at the discretion of whoever you are dealing with. I will be filing a formal complaint with AMS and I sincerely hope that anyone reading this review will go elsewhere for their moving needs. I regret hiring AMS and will never recommend them to anyone.

Company provided unprofessional and incomplete moving services. We paid for services we did NOT receive.
Hired this company after the sales rep, *** Joyner, promised me the best moving experience ever. I was told how careful they would be with my possessions. The crew showed up late. They seemed to wrap & pad the first half of our truck. Then they told my husband they were taking it in the garage to wrap it. They finished after dark, and when we went out to close the trucks up, my husband couldn't close the truck because they packed past the bulkhead! (These are professionals?) We found uwrapped or poorly wrapped furniture, thrown in with lawn equipment and such! Unwrapped recliner, kitchen table, dining table, poorly wrapped couch. Pictures and lampshades not wrapped or boxed that were already damaged. Tvs left loose in the second truck! Loose CDs tossed in the truck. Items left in our garage not packed or loaded. We called and complained and ***, Asst. Manager, just made excuses. He was called twice before he finally send two guys out to help my husband fix it. They said it was really bad and took some photos. They did wrap the furniture. However they said they had to leave 45 minutes later and did NOT stay to load the rest of our boxes and unpacked items onto the truck. My husband had to do it himself, and fell OFF of the truck in the process, landing on his back. We had to delay the closing on our house and pay for a hotel all because ALL MY SONS did NOT provide the service they promised to provide.

Desired Outcome

Honestly, they would have to do a lot. Reimburse me for damages to my items and for the services we paid for and did NOT get. That would be the biggest thing. Stop lying to people and do what you say you are going to do. Get rid of managers who don't care and train your employees! We can hire guys off the street for $25 each if we want a crappy unprofessional job!

Customer Response

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I already contacted your "claims" person. Filing a claim that will pay pennies on the dollar for damaged goods does NOT make up for INTENTIONAL carelessness or unprofessional service. Your crew did not even complete the work they agreed to complete, leaving it my husband who has a heart condition. He fell off of the truck finishing YOUR crew's work. Are you going to pay his medical bill, too? The apathetic attitude of everyone in your company is appalling.

Customer Response

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
It is now going on day 6 since the company responded, and I have yet to hear from a customer care specialist. I feel that the overall attitude of this business is apathetic. I was told by the claims person I have 30 days to file a claim (which is going to be difficult, since I will not be in my house yet).

I would never use All My Sons moving again and would advise no one else. I had them scheduled for 8:30 am on a saturday and I spoke with the owner twice the week prior. I waited until almost 9:30 am to call and ask where they were and was told they had to call me back. I did not get a call and called myself again at 12:00 and was told they'd have another crew out as soon as they could and they showed up at 4:00 pm. I called many times and kept being pushed off. One strong man and two young skinny kids. They dropped my stove and my dresser and took them over 7 hours to move me when it was only to be about 3. No discount provided and charged me over $750. I am very upset as I tried calling owner Drew twice today and he is ignoring me. Poor Service and terrible ownership. I will never ever recommend them and make sure their name is out there as a terrible company. If the owner can't talk to me then what good is this company. He is a smooth talker. I will dispute the charge on my credit card until I get a call to resolve this. POOR REVIEW

The problem with my account started with Jim. Jim was the estimator for my account. He came to my apartment on 5/19/17 and quoted me at a 5,000 lb weight estimate. The tariff rate on the quote was at 49.87% and the customer discount was at 37%. The total estimated cost was $1,667.94. Jim also shared during this meeting that if my items weighed less than the 5,000 lb estimate, then I would pay less than the $1,667.94. I agreed, and then proceeded to pay $200 as a deposit to secure my 6/15/17 move date.
On 6/15/17 at the unload point, I was told that my weight was actually 4,240 lbs which was 760 lbs less than the original 5,000 lb weight estimate. Therefore, I was happy because based on the information above, my total price would be less than $1,667.94.
Jermaine gave the driver the figures for the bill of lading. Jermaine provided a 52% tariff rate and a 35% discount. I inquired as to why the tariff rate was not the same as the previous 3 week quote and Jermaine did not provide a valid explanation. He simply stated that's the VA rate. However tariff rates do not change daily and the minimum frequency tariff rates can change is 30 days. Therefore, the tariff rate on the quote received on 5/19/17 should have been the same as the 6/15/17 tariff rate. Jermaine was not empathic, never apologized and simply continued to repeat the phrase, "I'm sorry you feel that way." Jermaine also did not give an explanation on why the original 37% discount was not honored.
I have called several times between 6/15/17 and 6/16/17 and spoke with many different representatives(James, Pritton, Matt, and a few others) in the operations department and gave the specific details above and no one has helped. I was told that only Alonzo, the Director of Operations, can help and he will call you back. Alonzo has never called back. In fact on 6/16/17 alone, in the matter of about 90 mins I called 3 separate times and was told 3 different reasons as to why Alonzo was unavailable. The first time I was told he was doing payroll. The second time I was told he was out of the office handling business. The third time I was told he was simply unavailable. It isn't hard to understand when someone is being evasive because they do not want to speak with you about a matter. I also spoke with James the morning of 6/16/17 and was told the only note he saw in the system against my account was, "Customer was disappointed with the bill." That let me know that the representatives I had spoken with were not even documenting my account with the specific details I provided in reference to the bill discrepancies. In total, I ended up paying $1,688.88 which is higher than the original quote.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. The operations department employees do not address your concerns or take them seriously. They simply pass you around the world and promise you a call back from the Operations Manager which will never come.

Stay away from this company. When I first called I spoke to a Sabrina who quoted me and stated that I had nothing to worry about they had me covered then comes moving day... They will quote you one price then end up charging you way more after it's all done & hold you hostage in a way until you pay it then expect a tip. I was confirmed for between 7am-9am start time but then received a call from Brad around 7:30am saying the driver had a personal issue come up so I would be the next move which could be 10 am but there was no set time. Brad also stated that I would receive a call 45 minutes before they would show up. I received a call from the driver around 11:45 stating they were a minute away, just down the street not the 45 minutes before like I was told. I called All My Sons and spoke to Brad to see what was up with the no heads up like I was told and to what could be done for my inconvenience. I had taken half a day off already and had to cancel the rest of my day due to this. He told me that nothing could be done and I was already getting the best rate available. I told him I spoke to Sabrina who gave me the quote and he acted like he didn't know who that was then transferred me to Kimberly who supposedly I had spoken to before. After repeating myself to Kimberly she said she wasn't for sure why Brad had transferred me over to her because he was her boss then offered to transfer me back over to him. I told her that it was pointless because I had already told him everything and he said she would be the one to help that there was nothing he could do. She put me on hold and spoke to another manager who gave me $10 off per hour which supposedly was the best he could do. I didn't have a choice and needed to be moved out that day so I proceeded. The movers finally show and I think that it should be smooth sailing for the rest of it that is where I was wrong. They took their time, didn't move everything I told them too just the big items and most of the boxes. Long story short is I had a 1 bedroom 1st floor apt to a storage unit which took them over 2 hrs to move. At the end of it they tell me my total trying not to show me the receipt for it like I was just going to pay more, surprised they charged me for tape and stretch they used and a fuel charge.. I will never use them again and have told others to not use them too. I really should of done more research and read more reviews before contacting them.

terrible moving experience! moved from Chandler to Sun City. Estimate VERY off, regarding time the move would take, and charges, which is what I based my decision to use this company on. crew showed up 2 hours late, and then had no 2-wheel dollies in truck. chair leg broken off ( they did have it repaired), and 3 boxes/items missing...they went on truck, why did they not come off truck? maybe because they were unloading in the dark? didn't leave my home until 10pm.
I called company repeatedly after move to get issues settled...I felt like no one there cared about me enough to call me back. I asked repeatedly to have GM call me, but received no call. They offered me "settlement" of $30 for lost items, which included box of 40 yr old crystal goblets.
I have moved 6 times in 14 years, including a cross country move, and NEVER had lost or damaged items. Use anyone but this company!!

All My Sons movers sent unprofessional movers who destroyed/damaged a number of my items and threatened to keep my belongings if I disputed charges.

I have an email from All My Sons from April 3rd informing me that 3 professional movers would arrive to move, properly store, take apart a bed, and protect my items as they moved the home furnishings from my Apt in Dallas, to a rent house, and finaly deliver the remaining items to a storage facility in Frisco. I setup service for the move with the Carrollton office, however All My Sons transferred service to their Fort Worth office, because the Dallas office could not find enough movers to process my move on June 2, 2017, but because I setup service with the Carrollton office, I feel they should be responsible for responding to my concerns.

All My Sons, sent 3 movers to my apt. The movers arrived at 10:05am, the paperwork I later found out stated the start time was 9:45am. By the time I finished initialing the BOL contract it was 10:15am before the first furniture item was touched. Meaning I paid 30 minutes of no work being done. The movers started by moving the washer/dryer and failed to secure the hoses as they were dragging off the side of the dolly. My wife was concerned that the movers would not secure the furniture so she asked for reassurance that the remaining items would have moving blankets on them to protect from damage. When the truck arrived at the first stop, we noticed a crib, a TV stand, one king size bed frame(s), and headboard had not been protected as the movers stated. All items were exposed and sustained damage while in transit. Expect for the couch that was damaged as the movers forcibly took it up the stairs without any moving blanket, breaking a balcony door window frame in the process. A marble tabletop was also damaged, when one mover, not familiar with the weight of marble, picked up the table by himself and knocked it back down on the concrete hallway when the weight of the item became too much for him to handle. Regarding the inexperienced mover, it was clear one mover had improper training and work attire. The mover had to constantly be directed as to how he needed to move furniture through doorways and up stairs. In addition, on June 2nd, it was raining, and the mover had basketball shoes on that limited his traction on the ramp to the truck. So even though was had paid for 3 movers, only 2 were able to do the bulk of the work, slowing down the process.

At the last stop, the storage unit in Frisco, the movers stated that I had to pay $955 for the completion of the move before they would unload the truck. The dispatcher said that if I did not pay that my items would be taken to their warehouse and I would have to pay storage fees, until I made payment of the services. This statement borderline on extortion and the drivers had already informed my wife and I that we were "the worst customers ever" and "they didn't know they were going to have to work so hard." Because the movers and dispatcher were verbally frustrated with me, I felt intimidated to make payment.
They stated the start time was 9:45am and the end time was 3:30pm. The drivers handed me the paperwork at 2:20 and finished moving by 2:35pm. The storage unit had an elevator and they were able to move everything in two trips. Once inside the storage unit, I put away the remaining items.

The dispatcher later pretended to do me a favor my dropping the price $10 less an hour for labor and remove the last hour of labor all together for my troubles and not having to worry about my items being sent to All My Sons storage. However, as I have previously stated, that the movers, were done moving by 2:35pm. They originally stated the end time would be 3:30pm. The hour I received off for my troubles the movers, never worked in the first place. If anything the end time should have reflected 1:30pm, if I was getting an hour off for my troubles.

Desired Outcome

As per my original request I would like a terminal manager, safety manager, or another person of authority to call and discuss what actions would be taken so that I can be made assured that future customers will not have to experence the same unprofessional displayed by team members of the moving company. In addition, I would like to be compensated for the correct end time of 2:35pm and reflecting the 1 hour off of labor. Finally, because the claims process is paper based and not electronic, I would like additional fees removed from the BOL. A total of 8 items sustained heavy damage, the bed and couch alone almost created 20 photos. The cost of printing photos would be very expensive and the inability to ensure proper weight with some pieces missing would not allow me to get a correct weight to receive the 60 cents per pound as stated.

Worst move out of 7 in 10 years. I picked them because the All My Sons in Hilton Head was so amazing. These guys came unprepared two days in a row. They started packing my stuff in garbage bags. I had to go out and buy more boxes for them. They used all of my furniture pads, charged me for them and wouldn't unload my stuff til paid for it. They overcharged us. This branch of the company is disorganized and will rip you off.

Lack of care and respect during the move. It took far too long and furniture was damaged.
On last Friday 5/26 the movers showed up at 7:45 am to do a move that last time took 4 hours and cost $450.00 with no furniture broken or damaged. By the time they departed at 2:15 I was frustrated and furious. The worker that was "in charge" was condescending to me and rude to his co-workers. I had told several people at the company that my furniture was nice and it was heavy. They complained that it was too heavy and that I was somehow to blame that there was only a 3 man crew rather than a 4 man crew. They also were very rough with my wood furniture damaging several pieces. One of the men said "we hear all the time that furniture is heavy and it never is" I asked him - wouldn't it be better to err on the side of it being heavy? And then if it is light, you are blessed? He just laughed. It was a 2 stop move and they didn't wrap the items that were in the storage unit. The man, Will, at the office also made me feel as though this was somehow my fault...I thought it was part of the move and they should have taken just as much care with that furniture as they did with the stuff at the townhouse. They bounced my dresser over on it's side and shoved the dolly under it and took a big chunk of wood out of it. This is nice Thomasville real wood furniture that I waited years to get. It has made it through 5 previous moves without a scratch... My downstairs neighbor told me that they dumped it on it's side again...and sure enough there are scratches on both sides and the top. I had asked them to place the pieces at certain spots in the room and they didn't. At this point I was so upset I just wanted them to leave and I didn't want any more damage done to my stuff...so I moved all of that heavy bedroom furniture myself. He told me that it would take 8-10 weeks before anyone would be able to come look at it for the claim. I don't know. It was just a very bad experience. Very bad. And to add insult to injury, when they couldn't get my sofa into the new place and the trainee tried to make a suggestion the one that was "in charge" told him that he was nothing, just a trainee and that he didn't know anything, and if he had a problem with that he could just leave his shirt at the office when they got back. Who disrespects their people like that in front of the client? And the "in charge" one kept complaining about how tired he was.

Desired Outcome

I would like a credit issued to my Discover card for the full amount of the move. And a written apology from the company and the worker that was "in charge of the move."

Great experience! I was worried about this move because like all company reviews All My Sons had only 5 star and 1 star reviews and you never know which one you will get. Luckily, I had a 5 star experience with the crew from All My Son's South location. They were on time and moved everything quickly and without damage. Highly recommend. Hopefully you will have a similar experience.

I had this company move and store my furniture. When it was delivered, it was mostly all damaged and/or missing pieces.
In June of 2009 I paid All My Sons Moving and Storage to move my furniture from my home in DeSoto, TX and to store it at one of their facilities. I was told that the furniture would be placed in vaults, so it's not the type of storage that I could visit/access until ready to receive furniture. I made payments to the company for 7 years and 3 months, in the amount of $24780 to have my furniture stored. This does not include the thousands paid in moving and delivery fees. My furniture was delivered to my new address, September 14, 2016, damaged and missing. The top of my front load washer was bashed in, the front loading dryer's door was damaged so, it can not be closed. The glass on my oven was shattered, my stainless steel refrigerator has large dents on the doors. I only received two pieces of my three piece sectional. My night stand drawers are without handles, and I am missing the nightstands all together to another bedroom set. I had a large master chest of drawers with a stand, but I only received my stand and no chest. One of my dining tables should have four chairs, but I only received two. My large formal dining chairs are scratched and chipped and the table has a large chip in the glass. I have a couch and love seat without pillows, damaged coffee and end tables, missing chairs for my game room table, and no shelves for a stereo cabinet. I have inventory receipts as proof of the condition when their company took possession. I have provided the company with their inventory receipts, pictures, purchase receipts proving the amount paid and year of purchase of almost all of my missing and damaged items. My furniture was of good quality/like new when they took possession. However, almost every piece of furniture I trusted All My Sons Moving and Storage with was returned to me damaged and unusable. I paid over $40000 for my furniture, and when I filed a claim, and the company offered me $1000. When I refused that amount, they stopped all communication with me. They do not return phone calls, emails, and certified letters have been returned.

Desired Outcome

I paid All My Sons Moving and Storage to move, store, and deliver my furniture. I missed several days of work, waiting for movers who never showed up. I was given many excuses as to why my furniture was not going to be delivered, and how storage vaults needed to be brought down but the crane was broken, only to find out that it was a means to stall because my furniture could not be located. Your company has treated my time, furniture and my claim with very little consideration. Based on the severity of the damage and losses, I am now forced to replace all of the furniture items, I trusted this company with. I am requesting $25,000 as a partial reimbursement of paid storage fees, and for missing and damaged furniture.

All My Sons Moving & Storage Response

We processed a claim and sent a settlement letter to our customer on 11/29/2016. We received a dispute letter from the customer on 12/14/2016, on 12/22/2016 the customer advised she was sending pictures of damage. We have not heard from the customer to date. However, the customer does have a settlement offer that was sent to her on 11/29/2016

Scheduled a move with this company, they gave me the run around, rescheduled to the next day, I'm still getting the runaround, so I had to cancel.
Where do I start. Let's start with *** R and Matt. Matt called me the morning of my move scheduled between 7-9. Said their movers couldn't move me early. I was flexible so I told them I could go later. Called later, said the move wouldn't happen on the scheduled date. Said they'd give me back my deposit and move me the next day, and that id be on the first move scheduled that day. Asked Matt twice to send me an email confirming a refund. No email ever sent. Fast forward to next day, called they said they didn't have movers so they sent my file to fort worth. This is at 8 am when they promised they'd already be at my apartment. This is when I got angry. Called *** and he decided to cancel my move after me saying I wanted a discount or even free! I didn't even ask him to cancel, but after that conversation I decided this company was not worth anymore pain, so I canceled the service. Needless to say they had already breached their written agreement anywaysApparently the mckinney branch didn't have movers available for Sunday and instead of letting me know that, I got the run around. Now I'm stuck without movers. Needles to Sat, I have an email confirming my move time and date so they are getting sued. I've never been so upset with a company's they need to fire these two individuals.

Desired Outcome

Actual damages for having to extend mt lease, having to find another moving company, damages for starting my new lease early, pain and suffering, punitive damages

They were blatantly disrespectful on the phone and did not offer up an apology. This is how they treat their customers. They thought I wouldn't take any action against them and now they are apologetic. I do not accept this apology given how I was treated the day they were supposed to move me.

All My Sons Moving & Storage Response

COrrective action has been taken with the employees, again we are very sorry and the deposit was refunded. We always stive to do our best and we are very sorry about the circumstances surrounding your experience with us.

Again, they were extremely rude and to me over the phone. There have been other complaints about Doig and it seems nothing has happened with his behavior. I can pull up several other reviews that complain about this company's I'm not satisfied with this apology as they have failed to implement better company policies. I have never been treated so rudely in my life by a company.

This was hands down the worst customer experience I have ever had with a company. After with booked our move I continued to receive calls from Jermaine asking if we wanted to book a move. I explained to him that we had already booked. He told me he didn't see anything. I then proceeded to say I was out of town, but that I knew something was booked, but that I hadn't handled it and knew that nothing new needed to be scheduled. I get off the phone and get a cancellation email. I call Jermaine back and he continues to tell me that there is no way I booked even though I have a 200.00 deposit charge on my credit card. He tried to start a new appointment. I give up and call Cavell who at least was trying to be very helpful, but Jermaine would stand in the way the whole time. We get past this and get to move day and the movers knocked a whole through our plaster wall and dented the air intake for the HVAC. This was all understandable, but I asked the movers to give me something in writing to take to closing on our sell the next day to give to the new buyers. They said they would call the main office. Of course, the main office employee is Jermaine. Jermaine said he couldn't and wouldn't do that and that I needed to submit a claim after I paid in full. He said he could transfer me to customer service, but that "would take hours" and he was going to charge me the whole time - which he did 300 dollars in overtime. He tells his employees to stop unloading the truck all while charging me because I tell him I want some resolution before paying. All I'm asking for is something that states they will cover the damages. I eventually convince him to transfer me to corporate and no matter what button you push you get the same person. This person tells me I have to submit a claim and wait to get it fixed or they won't pay. I tell him that I am selling the house the next day and that I cannot wait to get it fixed. His only solution was to send me paperwork that requires me to take pictures and get it notarized when his employees already took pictures. All in all I spent 2,500 dollars on a move for 1,900 sq ft and had to get all repairs done at my cost. I will tell anyone I come in contact with to stay away from this company. IT WAS AWFUL.
