I placed an order online for a digital camera, Fujifilm XT2, part number ***, and a lensThe retail of the camera body was $The sale price was $I placed my online order for $I was called almost immediately to discuss my orderI was highly encouraged to buy a high-priced insurance policy, which I didI was told that the camera did not come with a battery or charging cordI was told that the package that included the battery would be $extra or $I knew that I would need the battery and assumed that they were telling me the truthI was out walking my dogs at the time and had to take their word for itAs soon as I hung up, I realized that I should have double checked the part numberI Immediately tried to get a hold of their customer service departmentThat department was closed until the next MondayI sent an email to the customer service department right away complaining of the bait and switch and the high-pressure tactics to buy insuranceI hear
I ordered a inch curved TV from Abes of Maine and to be honest my experience from the day I ordered has been really unprofessionalYes I have my receipt verification of proof so I am leaving a true review about Abes of MaineI ordered a tv on Thursday morning and they called me an hour later to say my credit card declined payment because of verification but they didn't tell me about shipping costI ordered the TV with free shipping but then they also tell me, they are adding $(turned out $302.00) shipping fee because I live in *** yet the receipt didn't reject the order (so why bother having the site sent me a receipt? It is there bait & switch method)They tried to push me to buy the TV saying it is the cheapest price but they are not a license dealer for a particular popular brand so other competitors won't price match their price because they cannot be verified as a tv brand dealerI told the sales person that I don’t want the TV, I’ll repeat it again, I do
On February 25th I ordered a camera deluxe package DSLR750KITwhich was to include a Nikon DDSLR body, an AF-S NIKKOR 24-120mm f/4G ED VR Lens, an AF-S VR Zoom-NIKKOR 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6G Lens plus lots of other extras My first bad experience with this business was when "Ted" called to try to upsell me a bunch of other crap I literally spent minutes trying to get him off the phone while he acted like he was doing me a favor I received my order and instead of the lens that was pictured and listed in the item description which retails for $499.95, they sent me a much cheaper Nikon 70-300mm f4.0-G Lens which retails for $ When I called them they were not at all sorry and eventually they offered to give me a two year warranty or send me a different lens as the nicer lens is backordered I agreed to the other lens and "Lisa" told me I would be getting and RMA to return the lens I didn't want I never received the RMA I have screenshots of the item descri
I placed an order on 6/19/Today is 6/20/and I am attempting to cancel my order before it is completed through processingI spoke with Jeff S*** and confirmed that the product is not yet shipped, but he transferred me to customer service where I was on hold for over minutesUpon research, I've found that this business has had a history of poor customer serviceI am doing my due diligence to cancel the order before the item has shipped to prevent costs from being accrued from either party
Purchased a Nikon Dcamera body (price seemed way too good to be true - should have known) on their websiteI get an email saying I need to call themAfter calling them, and having an incredibly frustrating and upsetting conversation with "Ted", which was riddled with one line quips and jabs (that sound like hes rehearsed and said them a hundred times before), I find out that the camera is not a US model, all of the language in the camera is supposedly in Korean and it does not include a charger or batteryHe up-sells me on buying a US model with battery and chargerHe then tells me that he has to authorize my card, comes back and says my bank gas put a hold on it...maybe because it was such a big amount...I tell him, not there is no holdThen I tell him, "I just want what I purchased." Lots more excuses and one linersAt this point I was fed up and seeing way too many red flags so I said "cancel the order"...lots of flack from him, making fun of me and being incredibly disrespectful...he finally says that its my bank's fault, and that all I need to do is call them and authorize the purchase...which I refused to do I told him I just wanted to cancel the order and asked that they please send me a cancellation confirmation in writing....he said he 'didn't have access to it, so I need to call customer service tomorrow to get a cancellation noticeHe then tells me they will keep putting the order through until its not declined unless I call customer service tomorrowTells me he's heard enough and hangs up on meThankfully, my bank had already marked it as fraud and suspended the account I had to cancel my card This is an incredibly dishonest company and they should not be allowed to continue business like this
Hi the additional charges are due to white glove deliveryWe delivered the TV via private carrier it was brought into the home unpacked and inspectedWe would like to come to a compromise, we can offer the customer a $refund to close the complaintPlease accept our sincerest apologize for any trouble or inconvenience caused by this orderWe highly appreciate your feedback in future again because it will assist us in becoming better at what we doThank You*** ***West Park Electronics*** *** *** *** ***
Abe’s of Maine is a BAIT AND switch companyI ordered a Sigma 24mm Art Lens from themA few days later I get a call to verify my purchaseI was told that I had ordered the international version of the lens and it may not work for my cameraTheir website makes absolutely no mention if thisI was also told that this version does include lens caps or lens hood, which on their wensite are listed as being includedI said I wanted the US version of the lensI bery specifically asked for thatI paid an additional $for the upgrade to the US version When the lens arrived the paperwork in the box indicated it was not the US versionI checked the serial number with Sigma and it was confirmed that the lens I was shipped was not an official US version of the lens
I have sent emails over the course about a week and a half and have zero response from the company
This is pure fraud and these people deserve to be prosecuted for this fraud
My advice is that if you bought something from them, I would recommend checking the serial number to verify if it is a US version of the productIf it is not then you have no warranty
Stay away from Abe’s of Maine

Bait and switch complaintPlaced an order for a camera advertised for $Received a message to call in order to confirm my orderWhen I spoke to Ted in customer service, he said I had ordered the Korean version of the camera with no warranty, battery or charging cordHe offered switch me to the US version
When I received the new order confirmation it was for the exact same part # and SKU # , but for $more, $
I emailed their customer service but have not had a reply I see many complaints about Westpark (AKA Abe's of Maine)Please take action to stop them for continuing to deceive the public

Later that day I received a call from a salesman there trying to sell me batteries for the camera for an increase in the price by more than $ (I already have a Canon 6D which is broken I seem to recall it came with batteries) I declined to buy more batteries Later that day I received another call from a woman at NJ number *** She asked me when I needed the camera I said that is an odd question I am in no hurry, but as soon as practical She said it would be at least weeks before they would be able to ship one to me, unless I wanted a US version I said I didn’t really care what version, they are all made in Japan She said the US version would be $more I told her I had
