We would love to work with Mr***We can deliver the product he orderedThank You*** ***Abe's of Maine*** *** *** *** ***

Dear ***We apologize the item was out of stockYour order was refunded in fullWe are sorry for any inconveniencePlease let me know if you need anything esleThank You*** ***Abe's of Maine*** *** *** *** ***

I purchased *** Samsung TV from AbesThey then sold me a $"white glove" delivery service for the TVThey specifically told me this service included delivery, removal of the TV from the box and putting together of the stand and a complete set up of the television for meWhen the delivery men arrived all that they did was take the TV out of the box, put it on the floor and plugged it in to a socketThey would not even help me put it together and on the TV standI believe I was misled intentionally by Abes and did not get the "white glove" service I paid $for

They will attempt to bait and switch you even after you already place what appears to be a valid orderI ordered an LG OLED tv and after order was placed a salesman from the company called and said I ordered the Europe version with the incorrect power, even though nothing about this was stated on their website and it is obviously a US based company with the TV featured on their homepageSalesman stated they would change my order to US version of TV but that would be $1,morePure scam artists, it is incredible that companies that do business like this can stay in business

Abe's of Maine is a dishonest company using bait and switch practices and lying its customersI was tricked to pay higher prices for identical equipment advertised at lower price on their siteI've placed a large order in the amount of $for various canon photo equipment including expensive Canon L series lenses, camera, flashes and a convertorMy phone call inquiry was answered by "Ted" and he was the person I dealt with throughout the whole processBefore placing the order I asked him couple of times if all the equipment and especially the L lenses listed on their web site are made in Japan and he said "no, it's made in Asia, in Taiwan" and immediately offered me to buy more expensive versions made in Japan with US warranty that he said are not listed on the website since they are not allowedI didn't need US warranty, (the equipment was going to Europe) but it was important that everything was made in Japan, and believing him after he repeatedly said the cheaper ones

Ordered a Nikon camera from merchant Received a phone call from merchant to confirm order and upsell additional items I specifically inquired if the accessories were NIKON brand, and I was assured that they were What I received was a box of cheap, substandard after market items which were nowhere worth what I paid I priced them out at $from other merchants (choosing the highest competitor price in each case), for which I paid $ I understand that businesses are in business to make money, but that mark up is a little obscene I have spent inordinate amounts of time either e-mailing them (attempts) and ridiculous hold times (5x at roughly min waits per attempt) to request a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number, but to no avail I will be disputing the charge in the amount of $($minus their 15% restocking fee) via AmEx and filing reviews and complaint with anyone I can possible think of

Black Friday came around and I looked for a large TV, saw an ad at AbesofMaine for a TV with "Free Shipping", I ordered the TV and it sat in the "New Order" category under my order status like that past the end of Black Friday all the way thru Cyber Monday, when I received an email from them wanting me to "confirm my order" I called, left a VM, no callback, call again a bit later and their sales staff answers, tell me that my order falls into a zipcode that requires additional insurance/shipping costs Ah, yes the bait and switch method, using up all the time for the holiday sales to be over to add on additonal costs for their product and the prominent "Free Shipping" advertised all over the website I question about the advertised free shipping and the sales guy snaps quick (almost as he has been repeating this hundreds of times today) "It's all over our site that you could be charged for insurance", when asked how much its over $200+ for the extra fees, then he proceeded to cance

Hi, I just reviewed your order history, according to our records you spoke to our salesman *** and indicated you need the camera by 7/The camera was received by you on 7/as agreed uponYou order was confirmed on 7/Another invoice was emailed to you after you confirmed the additional
charges for shipping due to faster delivery methods with you salespersonThis complaint is with out merit since the customer agreed to the charges due to his selection of a faster shipping method.Thank You*** ***Abe's of Maine*** *** *** *** ***

I purchased a Microwave GE Profile Advantium #*** Order *** from Abe's of Maine on 1/12/along with a year extended warranty and was told at that time by the salesman that sold me the microwave and warranty that it was full coverage till the warranty expired in 1/12/ I contacted the warranty company and was told they would not repair or replace the oven and to contact the place of purchaseSo I did and they told me it was too long ago that I purchased and there was nothing they would doI told them I was going to contact Revdex.com and his comment was all this for $772.72, GOOD LUCK

Classic bait and switchI went on their website to search for a Canon 80D, which the website listed as being on sale for $- a great price for a camera that normally retails at $1099! The site lists the camera as brand new (not refurbished), so I placed my orderI got an order confirmation email and then a few minutes later I got another email to call "Ted" in their service department to complete my order
He asks me if I want a hour battery or a hour batteryI told him that I'm a professional photographer and that I know that the camera comes with a batteryThat's when he tells me that the camera I ordered was the international version and didn't come with a battery, but that he could upgrade me to the US version - one that does come with a battery - for $more
Avoid this company

I placed an order for a very specific Samsung 75" TV that I have purchased a number of times over the past couple years from various retailers -- a Samsung 75J75" Smart LED TVI was having the unit shipped to a different office and received an e-mail from "Jeff **" in their "customer service" department to confirm the orderWhile I was on the phone he said, "Are you sure you want the commercial model made in China and not the consumer model made in Mexico?" Of course the consumer model was "better" and was roughly $more than the model I bought ($1579)
I checked my previous order and the model was exactly the same, so I called back and he basically said, "Do more research and call us back." I told him to just cancel the order because I didn't appreciate the attitudeI'll end up paying more for it now but at least it will come from a reputable sourceI highly doubt that Samsung makes different versions of the same TV with the exact same part number, and I'm also curious why if there's a different one available their website doesn't show itSteer clear

Advertised a Tamron 28-f/for Canon at $for Labor Day, and now it is advertised as a Columbus Day saleOrdered one and my order was cancelled without reason; I now know that they're probably expecting me to call so they can upsell some other junk, or say that the ad is for the gray-market version, not the US version

As with many others complaints with this company we placed an order from Abe's of Maine based on their website price of $for a Tamron 150-mm lens The order was accepted but then they asked us to call about placing the order A person named Jeff S*** then called and I let him talk to my wife since he said we could buy a "retail package" Basically it amounted to lens caps, a hood, a bag and bracket for tripod We got a order confirmation and receipt all based on the same order number with the $ We never were provided a price on the "retail package" until it showed up on our credit card for $ One can purchase all the "retail package" items for less than $ I feel this practice of calling to confirm the price and then charge extra for items that appear on the original offer for $deceptive I immediately contacted my credit card company to file a complaint This was never the practice at the old Abe's of Maine You got what was offered on line Be
