Separately, due to the continued rise in unauthorized copying of films and television shows in the market, changes are continuously being implemented by film and television studios to update the copyright protections included on Blu-ray discsThese copyright protection changes can result in certain Blu-ray players being unable to support the protected content found on newer Blu-ray discs As VIZIO no longer sells Blu-ray players, all previously released VIZIO Blu-ray players no longer receive software updates that would enable them to support the new copyright protection changes.

I purchased a inch Smart TV from Walmart in KYThis unit had been used as a display unitThe picture went out on the unit the other day and after contacting Vizio customer service they told me the unit was no longer under warrantyMy warranty period began the day I purchased the TV, not WalmartI completed the product registration with in days of the purchase, did everything I was suppose to do , yet the best Vizio would do was offer to sell me another (of their great products) at a discountI am also disappointed that after searching for information about this same issue, Vizio had even gone so far as to acknowledge the problem and had replaced tvs (with refurbished ones)I am the exception not the rule in this case because even though the tv is 1/years old I have not owned it more than the years the warranty coversMy recommendation is DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY ON VIZIO!!

I purchased a Vizio 60" television model number E601i-Athat is defective and Vizio is not offering any technical support The issue with the television is that it has lost its picture/video while it still powers on, there is still sound, and the back light seems to be working I tried to contact Vizio technical support but other than doing a power cycle no other assistance was offered other than purchasing another television from them

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
Vizio's claim that the TV has been out of warranty is not accurate. The original TV was purchased in November of 2013 and replaced under warranty in August of 2015. This model had an extended warranty due to defects found with this model (E701i-A3). Defects such as white spots on the original and then again with the replacement that was the same model. I have been told many times on the phone, prior to this being addressed with the Revdex.com, that the warranty was extended. As I appreciate the fact Vizio has finally called me back on the issue; they have offered to split the cost of repair. This it is also inaccurate. I have been told during calls with them that the screen is not repairable and that it is not economical to try to repair the TV. They state that it's better for me to accept the discounted price of $for the M model or $for another E model. This has not worked previously as I have had two TVs that have had this same issue. The original TV was only a little under two years old when it failed. It was replaced with another only to have it fail again for the same issues in less than six monthsThis does not stand by Vizio's claim that their "Quality of our products is very important to us".
For Vizio to knowingly have issues with these TVs enough to extend the warranty and then send me the same model under that warranty only to have it fail again, shows no accountability on their end. This is regardless of the discounted offers I should not have to count on a TV I spent $on as a loss only to have to send them more money to get a new one that they assure me will at least have a new warranty. These discounts are not fair resolutions to the matter at hand. The accountability for the defective TVs should stand with Vizio and should not be put on the consumers to purchase another from them at a discounted price.
This is NOT resolved. There should be an exchange of this defective model for a new one that DOES NOT have the same model number (E701-A3) as the two that have failed

sold through authorized distribution and retail channels. Upon review of the product at issue in this complaint VIZIO has determined that this product was purchased at a Walmart and later returned to Walmart. VIZIO requires a copy of the customers receipt or proof of purchase to show that the product was purchased through an authorized reseller as a new unit and not a refurbished unit. Refurbished VIZIO products sold through retail channels are not covered under VIZIO’s warranty. These products are sold “as is” by the retailer. A copy
