This was the first Vizio product I bought and the lastI bought a Vizio 24” class D-series HDTV smart TV with SmartcastOn the Vizio website, it states that Directv Now is compatible with their SmartcastBut upon setting up, I couldn’t find a way to stream from my IPhone to the new television, since I couldn’t just download the app right to the TVMy first call to their support line, I was told by a representative, that Directv was not compatible with my TV I then asked to speak to a supervisor, and was told the same thingI then asked why their company was misleading their customersShe said their were not, even though I gave her the exact location on their website, where it stated they were compatibleThe supervisor then gave me a web address for chromecast, the maker of smartcast, so I was told, to see the apps that were compatibleThere too it showed that Directv Now was compatibleI told her this and her reply was simply that it was not supportedShe had no other reasoning as to why both the Vizio website as well as the chromecast website she gave me stated it wasI have spoke two more time with Vizio, because the first representative and supervisor were not helpfulUnfortunately for me, neither were the next twoI was simply told I would have to spend more money on a device to cast that I should never have had to doI will be returning this product and will never again buy a Vizio productI will also advise as many as I can to stay away as well as they provided no help, other than to spend more manyThey misled customers to sell more productSpend more for a better tv as well as helpAll people I spoke to were from a foreign nation, I assume by every one having an accentThey couldn’t answer the most basic of questionsStay away

I was indeed contacted by a Vizio representative regarding my complaint and dissatisfaction with their products.
He continued to apologize about the misinformation that I got from their CSR, but contented that there was no way that it could be rectified They also contended that because at the time of purchase the Skype Application was still on the motherboard, therefore they were in compliance whether it worked or not To me this is just a question of semantics The only solution they have was to send someone over to check on the additional audio problems and use a connection that would require the use of cables and other wiring connectionsI have U-Verse which affords me mobility A stationary connection would defeat that purpose and possibly interfere with my Internet connectionsNone of the televisions from other manufacturers require additional contraptions

I was contacted by VIZIO support but the representative did not negotiate with my in good faithWe purchased this VIZIO TV with good money that we worked hard forThis product is clearly not of acceptable quality and the support of the company that makes this product is shady at best so why would we give them MORE of our moneyI requested a refund or a replacement of the TV in order to make this right but VIZIO would not budgeAt this point even a partial refund would be acceptable and they can have the TV backWe were forced to purchase a different television after this one arrived broken so the VIZIO set is already a complete sunk cost for usVIZIO's warranty is clear and their stance is clear but because of our experience I feel an exception should be made so that we can be made at least partial whole on this transactionWe are willing to eat some of the cost but not allThat seems reasonable to me.If VIZIO can't be trusted to deliver a whole product and stand behind that product then I think their reputation should suffer for itMine would if this is how I conducted my personal business!

For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I had an issue with a tv and got it exchangedI have had tvs sent to me with different issues with eachI am sick of dealing with items that do not work or have something else wrong with themI will also include dates that I have gotten them and describe what was wrong with eachOn 07/25/is when I sent out the original TVOn 07/25/I sent out my original tv to get it serviced/repairedI got TV #(refurbished) on 08/06/and there was an issue with the tv having a white haze in the middle of the screenI was informed that it was a bad unit and I will have to send it back to get another replacementI said that is fine as long as I can get a unit that will workI sent in TV #on 08/11/I then got TV #(Refurbished) on 08/26/and the whole screen was smashedThey claim that something had to of happened during shipping and that I am to send it back and I will get a NEW TV to replace it (have audio recording of Tech stating that I will get a NEW TV and not a refurbished one)I then sent back TV#on 08/26/I then got TV #(Refurbished and not NEW) on 09/02/and the TV keeps restartingI then called up and told them that I was told that this tv will be NEW and instead it is a REFURBISHED TV and that the TV keeps restartingI was informed that my original tv warranty expired and that they will not replace this one (even though I was promised a NEW one and also the contents in the box states it had a day warranty on it)I have spent almost the last months to get a replacement that will work and I keep getting units that are bad or brokeI am sick of it and I am also sick of being told one thing and then them not holding up to there promisesI got replacements and neither one of them work and they refuse to help me at all
Since I have been trying to get a working unit for almost months now I am sick of going weeks without a tv and when I do get one there is something wrong with itI would like a complete refund of what I payed for my unit or to be sent a BRAND NEW UNIT WITH YEAR WARRANTY and NOT a REFURBISHED one eitherI would also like to be contacted as well by someone high up that would actually help me at ***This is getting really old and also time consuming as well
