I am paying the $price of a new television that died after yearsGoogle "backlight failure" and "power board failure" for Vizio and you will find thousands of complaintsYes, I admit, my warranty expired, but this is pretty much a class action lawsuit waiting to happen based upon how frequent the problems are with these systems in Vizio televisionsI called their customer service and they basically laughed at me and directed me to third party repair shopsTHAT was their solutionThey basically told me to eat poopSo, this is an expensive lesson that I learnedBuy a [redacted] or [redacted] and spend a little extra on the extended warrantyJust don't buy a Vizio....EVERSince Vizio doesn't give a crap about me as a long term customer, I am sharing my experience with all my friends and family and fellow service membersSTAY AWAY FROM VIZIO!
Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below [ The “Non-manufacturer defect” Vizio refers to still does not explain how the television was working when we left the home and was not working we when returned homeAs I stated over-and-over no one was in the home to have caused an impact point to the televisionWe have a motioned security system at our home As for the “less than retail” deal that was offered to me; it was a Visio [redacted] for $even (including Shipping) I have found the same deal on-line for Amazon Prime customers and once on New-egg and Tiger Direct This was after I was assured by a Supervisor [redacted] I would be meet half way So-much for “split” the cost I still desire to work with Vizio to try and work out a fair arrangementI have seen other reviews of people with similar situationsVizio claims there is a barrier that prevents damage from the inside and implies the “CUSTOMER MUST BE LYING!” Meanwhile I have a 60” television downstairs still just sitting there This entire situation has been causing me undo stress plus being 90% disabled having to go constantly up and downstairs to watch TV in my bedroom now has been causing be more physical pain I pray Vizio corporate from California will reconsider and reopen my case and do the right thing ] Regards, [redacted]
RevDex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved. Regards, [redacted] ***

I own a Vizio M50-CtelevisionToday, I turned the television on and I heard a pop; and then lines appeared on the screenIt looks like the screen is cracked but there is no actual crackI tried changing channels and inputs and all I can see is the multi-colored "cracks"I checked online for a solution and found a multitude of reports from Vizio customers who experienced the same troubleUpon reading these reports, it seems that the problem is due to thermal expansion - i.ethe internal screen can not cool-off properly due to a manufacturing defect and the internal screen cracksI called the Vizio warranty line, as my television is under warranty until 7/30/(side note: many of the online reports stated that this trouble occurs around one year after purchase)The representative I spoke with immediately told me that this was physical damage and that my warranty is voidedI explained multiple times that there is no physical damage to the television and that there are numerous

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below[ the tv was shipped about two weeks ago and I still have yet to receive my refundSomeone from corporate has contact me but there still is jo estimated time of when my refund will be completed Vizio tried to blame the shipping company for why it took so long to pick up the TV and continue the process of my refundLike I stated below I was supposed to be advised when the TV was received, and I will assume it hasn't because I have not been notifiedWhich I know they haven't even gone through receiving the TV, it hasn't been inspected, which will still take time for them to process the refund and then depending on how they send me my refundA process this simple should not take longer than month which is the time frame I was given this should be completed, and it already has been past two monthsThis is unacceptable, especially from such a large company.] Regards, [redacted]

Purchased the television less than years ago TV turned off and will not turn on Customer service represtentative said that vizio products only have year factory warranty and that it would not be cost effective to fix My TV is now a large paper weight Terrible product and terrible service!
Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. The tv was purchased new around Christmas 2013, it was supposed to be a high end tv yet in January it failed, frustrated with VIZIO's response at the time I took it down and boxed it up hoping to have it fixed although VIZIO customer service when I called yet they told me it was out of warranty and there was nothing they could doFast forwarding to present, I was cleaning my garage out and the tv being in my garage brought back old angry memories so I went online and found out the issues are known far and wide by VIZIO for this particular tv model and an extended year warranty was given out which I knew nothing about because I was never notified of that resolutionI purchased the tv new at [redacted] ***, I have looked high and low for my receipt but cannot find it, as I recall it may have been provided back to VIZIO during the first go around or left on a scanner by accident when it was scanned to send the receipt onThe fact remains no product is worth $for only months of use only to fail and be told I am on my own while others with the exact same problem had theirs repaired under full warrantyI turn it on, the back light and sound are there but no picture, I have gone through hours of extensive troubleshooting to no avail, it is time for VIZIO to make this right for me as a consumer of their product as well being that it is a well know issue for this particular model, I will accept a repair or a replacement but I am not going to throw away a $tv even though I believe that is what is expected by VIZIO for this matterIT would be like buying a new car, driving it miles and junking it, it is a totally unreasonable solution! The tv has been sitting in its original box since January with no resolution Regards, [redacted]

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Vizio offered a discount on another TV that was nearly $The $1,TV I purchased months ago had a warranty that they will not honorThey claim that something hit the tv to cause the picture to go out, which is not the caseMy husband and I would hardly sit and throw objects at itThat tv has never been touched other than a light dustingI didn't even know the where the power button was located as we always used a remoteThey simply looked at a picture and made this claim so it would void a warranty and they wouldn't have to replace itThere is a curve in the lines that I appeared at the very bottom of the tvThat was not there in my original call to themThere was an approximate inch wide white line that popped up in the centerWhen I called first, I was told that was a manufacturing defectI was told to take pictures to send them to verify that it was indeed the Vizio TV I called on, and that the lines appeared at all times...which I didWhile on the phone the first time, they were notified that more lines kept appearing even while speaking with themBy the time I got to take pictures, the entire screen went out to a million different linesAfter looking at reviews from other customers, I have found over 1,complaints of other customersMany of them also stated that Vizio would not honor their warrantiesSo people should be informed about this issueAs to there offer, why would I want to spend another $on another Vizio TV when one that was months old quit workingAfter dealing with their customer service, I would hardly say I would be pleased with that offerA solution is to fix a problem, not tell a customer to buy a new oneVizio should also realize that customers are what makes their business successfulThey don't seem to have many happy customers who have purchased their productsI couldn't find any sites that gave them over a star reviewCustomers will figure out this customer, and they will eventually stay away from these productsWhen a customer asks to speak to a manager, I don't expect to be told, "why, they won't do anything g any different." Let me decide that for myselfAnd when being asked for corporate information, they flat out refused to give me their information Regards, [redacted] ***
