the store in Niles, Il sets up delivery dates and then they change it constantly [redacted] was expecting the sofa bed to be delivered on last Thursday, then Monday, now it is ThursdayThis is extremely inconvenientI am beginning to think that Value City is playing games with usI can assure you this is not a game to usWe are hard working people who have not made an election to make a donation to Value City FurnitureWe have already paid the additional expense for the replacement futon sofa bed.My son is a full time student and he works full timeThe latest response from Austin at the Niles location is that the delivery is set up for Thursday, February 25, My son has asked for an email confirmation since all we have had up to this time is phone calls that we did not recordIf Value City is unable to meet this delivery date, I DEMAND my money be refunded and they can pick up the defective merchandise whenever it is convenient for themThursday, February 25, is the LAST chanceThis has gone on entirely too longI should have not had to contact the Revdex.comValue City should have made every effort to make this right before it ever got to this point
The business told us at the time the furniture and warranty was purchased that the warranty covered ALL damages except those caused by an animal The term all would it be inclusive of cracking and peeling There is also additional damage to the furniture that the warranty would cover; however, We were told at time of inspection that cracking and peeling nullified the warranty These were not the terms we agreed to at the time the furniture and the warranty was purchased We were told any damages would be repaired or replaced in the seven-year coverage I absolutely will not agree to in store credit but the company I have no plans to purchase from this company ever again unless it honors the terms in which the warrantee was sold and repairs or replaces the furniture
I initially wanted the accent chair and was willing to pay for it but by the time I talked with the General Manager, the thrill had ended and I have to have a level of respect for myself, meaning, if I still purchased the accent chair after the absolute terrible customer service, then what would prevent Value City from doing the same thing again The proper resolution if Value City was truly sorry for the terrible service would be to discount the chair and deliver or take a hit and give it to me for free I know my thinking is off and is not in line with the standards of value city after all, how can they make millions by giving away a three hundred dollar chair I declined the offer and decided to find another accent chairThe GM said I can change my mind at any time over the next days and he would honor the requestI'm just soured right now and will advise everyone I know not to shop at value city furniture Thanks
On 09/03/2014, Ms [redacted] purchased the Wyoming Saddle 5-piece home theater sectionalThe merchandise was delivered to Ms [redacted] ’s residence on 09/12/On 04/2/Ms[redacted] contacted Customer Care regarding problems with the merchandiseA service claim was filed under Ms [redacted] ’s warranty coverageMs [redacted] was advised that her service date was scheduled for 04/05/Ms [redacted] cancelled the service appointment and was rescheduled for 04/20/On 04/09/2016, Ms [redacted] contacted Customer Care and spoke to a supervisorMs [redacted] was advised at that time she would need to have the service appointment on 04/20/to determine the resolutionOn 04/09/Ms [redacted] contacted Customer Care and advised she wanted a full refund of the Pure Promise warrantyMs [redacted] was refunded the Pure Promise warranty amount of $on 04/11/The refund was completed back to the card used at the time of purchaseMs [redacted] is no longer covered for service on the Wyoming Saddle 5-piece sectionalI apologize for any inconvenience Ms [redacted] may have experiencedIf Ms [redacted] has any further questions or concerns she may contact me direct

On 05/23/2012, Mr [redacted] purchased the 2-piece Park City Grey sofa and recliner This merchandise was delivered to Mr***’s residence on 05/25/2012.I apologize for any frustrations Mr [redacted] may have experienced regarding the service he has received The Extended Protection Plan is solely a service warranty and refunds will not be provided In the event we are unable to repair the original merchandise to manufacturer specifications, an exchange or replacement will be offered As of 05/30/2015, the requested parts have arrived at the Store and the merchandise is able to be repaired according to Mr***’s warranty However, the General Manager has extended a return for a full store credit or an even exchangeFurthermore; If Mr [redacted] chooses merchandise that costs more than his original purchase; he will be responsible for paying the difference He may contact the General Manager directly for further assistance

It was never stated to me that if stained the warranty was null and void The chair is less than months old and is in a house full of kids so was I supposed to keep it in plastic till the so called warranty was up even though the ripped has nothing to do with the so called stain I spent over $on this chair and have talked to other furniture companies that have told me that the chair should hold up in wear and tear and if not it would be fixed or replaced I am throughly desposited and upset that I spent that kind of money on a piece of furniture that can't hold up and the company is useless when it comes to resolving the issues
