found. As a gesture of goodwill GE offered her a discount into another model in which she declined.

[redacted]Dear Revdex.comGE has offered to sell us yet another hot water heater, at a pro rated rate. We have in fact refused this offer. Since the original heater has NEVER worked properly, and we have NEVER gained the claimed savings the heater has to offer, we feel GE should replace the heater with the second generation heater, as they informed us of the "inherent problems" with the first generation. GE should also take responsibility for the related costs of removal and installation of the new heater. Their claim that we "refused" service on the fifth service call is FALSE. We were unable to receive service due to the fact no parts were on hand for the repairman. On the prior 4 visits, GE would send parts to our home ahead of time for the repairman to install. We also had 3 other service dates that we were home for, and were cancelled by GE at the last minute for various reasons. This is a total of 8 days waiting on repairs, which by their own admission is "excessive". We would prefer that GE give us a full refund on the heater, pay for the removal of it, and compensate us for the savings we never gained. Alternately, we would ask GE To agree to maintain the costs of repairs, labor, and house calls for the remainder of the 10 year warranty.

When you purchase a big item appliance, you expect it to last longer than 5 years. Maybe with you adding only a 1 year warranty, it means your products are not quality made. Every appliance I own is GE, which I thought was a quality item, but after this experience I will be purchasing another brand as items need replacing. No wonder there are so many Revdex.com complaints against GE.

I am still waiting for the the business to perform the promised actions of: 1) notifiying me of the date of installation and 2) coming to my house and installing the new machine. Once that is done, I will consider this complaint resolved.

Thank you for the opportunity to review this consumer’s situation. I left a voicemail with the consumer this morning. Our factory service technician was just out this morning 12/1/16 and discovered that the consumer that they have a chlorine system that pumps chlorine into their water...
supply. The consumer is going to unplug the chlorine pump the next 2 weeks. The technician stated there’s nothing in the washer that can hold bleach that would affect the clothing several loads later after bleach has been used. The technician also called our technical assistance group (TAG) and they also suggested she use only 1 cap full of bleach instead of 2. There was nothing found wrong with the washer. and left a message for you. That message
was in regard to my conversation with [redacted] at GE who stated that
the GE Maintenance Group is now saying that the wiring in my oven may be
brittle and therefore, repair is not possible.This is the first time I had
heard this “brittle wiring” excuse. It
is without basis as demonstrated by the three attached e-mail communication
between me and GE. My position with
regard to each email is presented below:Attachment 1 includes:GE’s email which states that their senior technician would be at my home the following day, July 22, 2015.My reply which states that the senior technician was at my house on July 21st and after consulting with another senior retired technician, he would order parts and have them sent directly to my home.The senior technician and I agreed on Thursday July 30th between 8:00 and noon appointment to complete repairs.As
can be easily seen by the emails, at no time was there any mention of brittle
wires.In Attachment 2, GE states that they will follow up on repair status on July 31st.Again at no time did GE mention brittle wiring.Attachment 3 provides the GE email, which states in-part that GE technicians are not willing to do any further part installation.Please note that Attachment 3 also provides my response, which states that GE’s technicians may have left my oven in a hazardous condition and it is unclear whether this group has the ability to repair it.Again at no time did GE mention brittle wires.Attachment 4 provides the GE email, which states that there could have been an underlying issue that made it unsuitable for repair.My response clearly states that none of the four GE technicians mentioned an underlying issue. Again at no time did GE mention brittle wires.These four attachments clearly
indicate that the brittle wires issue
never was mentioned by GE before and strongly implies that it is without
merit. I have many more emails between myself
