I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
After I spoke with [redacted] this morning I subsequently received a call from someone in another department cancelling today's service call since two technicians were needed and only one was available. I called [redacted] back to let him know and was advised that he would attempt to get a service call with two people scheduled for Tuesday and if not he would arrange for a replacement appliance through one of their providers to be delivered and installed by next Wednesday. I was told I would receive a call back to inform me of which option we would be going with. I did not receive a call back by end of business day. This matter has still not been resolved and I still don't have a working appliance.

GE exchanged the refrigerator with another. GE was prompt in its response to my Revdex.com complaint and the exchange happened quickly at a time of my choosing. I only wish I hadn't needed to involve the Revdex.com however, once I had, GE was very professional, courteous, and understanding which is what I would expect from any company with which I do business.

Thank you for the opportunity to re-review this consumer’s situation. The offer given to Mr. [redacted] is not based on the fact of a warranty or not. The offer extended to him is a gesture of goodwill as the GE Factory Service technician has been out twice in 2016 and has found nothing functionally wrong with the unit. It is his decision if he wants to accept the discount or not based on our technicians findings. Again, the offer will be open until the close of business on November 1, 2016. [redacted] This is in no way closed. My complaint stands. Fustomer service is nonexistant with the company. The only reason I got any action isnbecause I made a complaint. Sure, I got a replacement washer. I had to camplain all through January and February and most of AndroidSuffering through leak after leak, rude repairmen and illness due to the need that I had to do laundry at a filty laundromat where I brought homemnasty parasites. Thank you for the opportunity to review this consumer’s situation. I spoke with [redacted] today 5/18/17 and discussed his dispenser water flow issues. I offered to send a GE Factory Service technician out, but explained there would be a $99.95 Home Call Fee to diagnose the product. ...
He wanted to speak with a technician over the phone and try and fix himself. We can’t do that. His product is over 4 years old and well outside of warranty. The consumer refused to allow a tech to come out due to the home call fee. There is nothing more GE can do. Please contact me if there are any other questions or if I may be of further assistance. Thank you for the opportunity to review this consumer's situation. I have been speaking with Mrs. [redacted] regarding her GE microwave and possible resolutions. Although the microwave is 9 years old and out of the manufacturer's warranty, we have offered to discount the labor charge by 50%. ...
Another option that I've provided the Pezzuti's is a very substantial discount into a brand new model which would come with a brand new 1 year warranty. I also offered to give them an additional year warranty (total of 2) at no cost to them as a good will gesture. I am waiting to hear back from them on their decision.
