I am seeking a replacement dishwasher that has not been refurbished. I purchased a new appliance not one that needs to be rebuilt.
The extended warranty is through The Home Depot Protection Plan powered through [redacted]. They then sent multiple technicians from GE Consumer Services who have been unable to fix the unit.

Revdex.com:I just want to let you know that, when GE Appliance had contacted me on 9/25/2017; I had explained the problem. The representative responded where aggressive and rude. With a loud and rude voice, I told her that she didn't need to yell at me. I explained to her why I was not satisfied with the services I received from GE. Then she got so offended. I also explained to her that GE needs to clarify that the consumer are to be responsible to disposes any parts and/or appliance at their own cost. I ask her to reimburse me for disposing parts and appliance because it will cost me money to disposal these useless parts and appliance that GE agreed to re-buy the appliance. GE agreed to send me a final check of $50 to disposal the parts and the appliance. Even though GE contacted me, they the company "GE Appliance" needs to re-train their representative and their communication still needs to be improve to better serve the consumers! Before marking this complaint resolved, I would like you the Revdex.com to wait until I receive the final check per GE Appliance representative conversation.

Thank you for the opportunity to review this consumer's situation. I spoke with Mrs. [redacted] last week and apologized for the trouble she's had with her GE microwave. Although the unit is out of warranty, I agreed to waive the trip fee in the amount of $99 as a good will gesture. I...
told her that labor and parts would be at her expense. The service call was completed yesterday, 10/3 in the amount of $134.23. I just called to follow up with her but I had to leave a voicemail. Please don't hesitate to contact me with any further questions or concerns. Sincerely, [redacted]Program Manager

Thank you for the opportunity to review this consumer’s situation. Please be advised that Ms. [redacted]’s dishwasher is over two years old and out of warranty. GE spoke with Ms. [redacted]s on April 26, 2017 and as a gesture of goodwill offered her a discount on a repair. GE advised her that she...
would be responsible for the home trip/diagnosis fee and GE would cover 100% of parts and 50% of labor. At the time she declined the offer. If she would like to accept the offer I will hold it open until May 15, 2017 and she is welcome to give me a call at [redacted] to schedule the service call. Please contact me if there are any other questions or if I may be of further assistance. Sincerely,[redacted]

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I feel GE is avoiding the responsibility because GE is claiming they are the third party yet it is GE's employee's who have concerned my 15 year old and myself by threatening me. It is GE who had me take off of work for over 12 hours which at most it should have only been 9 according to their window time frame. Read the actual complaint and you will understand this is just a brief overview.I will be going to 9 on your side and show how these multi BILLION DOLLAR company's treat the small people living pay check to pay check!!!

I do not think it is resolved. Every time a service technician came to my house, which was many, they told me something different. I did tell GE that this last trip the technician installed the parts but I also said I didn't know if it was fixed. It isn't a constant thing that I see all the time, it happens at random- no pattern. If I say it is resolved and then it does it again what happens. They should have been willing and able to fix it the first time they came out or replace the appliance.

For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.GE has said they will not reimburse me for the difference in price between the defective fridge they sold me & the replacement. I never heard of a company that would not refund the price of defective merchandise.

A dishwasher was offered at a discounted rate by GE. We respectfully declined this "solution" due to the fact that their "discount" was really the same as paying a sale price at a local retailer. They offered a percentage off from the manufacturer's price, which ended up equivalent to the price we could pay at our local Home Depot. This dishwasher is only a few months old, and has not done a very good job of its intended purpose from the very beginning; to clean dishes that are dirty. The technician that went to the property put peanut butter on a plate and proceeded to wash it, immediately. Of course it washed off. I don't see that being an accurate measure of the dishwashers' ability to perform properly. We were told with this "lower-end" model, it works as it should. Shouldn't the dishwasher, whether it be a "lower-end" or higher end, do what it was made for? It should wash dishes, period. With that being said, I believe GE should take it back, credit the money paid for it towards another, better model that will actually perform, and allow us to pay the difference. I am not looking for something free, I just no longer want this particular model anymore due to it's subpar performance. If it worked as it needed to, there wouldn't be an issue.
Thank-you for the opportunity to review this consumer¿s situation. A repair was completed on 8/31 that is believed to have resolved the product issues. More than one voice mail has been left asking to confirm. Please contact me if there are any other questions or if I may be of...

Thank-you for the opportunity to review this consumer’s situation. GE will need to assess a possible failure in the future if and when it might occur. Please contact me if there are any other questions or if I may be of further assistance.

[My computer wouldn't originally allow me to provide reasons for my rejection- please review the followingRequesting that the complaint should be reopened. When I first contacted GE appliance directly when the stove top exploded on me they said they will dispatch a service technition to my home which they did. But unfortunately contrary to what GE told Revdex.com the technition told us that it was NOT a safety issue and advised me to continue using the stove until a replacement glass top will be installed. The cost of replacement would be around $800.00.GE claimed their technician and safety department said it was NOT a safety issue and I can use stove as is.Upon reassurance I did attempt to turn stove on and I was horrified by a blast of flames nearly scorching my face and hands. The insulation under the broken glass had turned into flames and luckily my daughter who was standing next to me and I are alive and were with gds help able to stop the flames from spreading. When I called GE to tell them what happened, they told me that originally they told me NOT to use the stove which, is untrue, and they don't have anymore of the glass tops to replace. So now they offered the stove for close $2,000.00. Which in my local store would be around $1,900.00.I told them I need to speak to their safety department since they almost got me killed. They denied it and when I asked them to listen to the original recorded phone conversation were I Was advised by GE technition that its NOT a safety issue and can use it. They offered me a $50.00 gift card towards purchase of new stove in compensation. ( what a joke). But would not allow me to talk to their safety department or review the recorded line conversation. GE told Revdex.com that they now offered a pro rated price for new stove but didn't specify at what price they will be replacing the stove.I would greatly appreciate if Revdex.com would kindly review the above and request from GE a new stove since the glass top broke on no fault of my own and after all this I should not be responsible and shall be offered a free replacement as I fairly deserve.Thank you so much for your time and understanding.]
