potential issue. He didn't want to pay our out of warranty trip charge of $99.95. I offered to assist with parts/labor if the unit did have an issue. He refused and stated he would live with it. I explained that he could also select the defrost time and not by pounds. There's nothing further we can offer the consumer without a proper diagnosis. They agreed to exchange the fridge after I called non stop for days. It took 4 weeks to get the refrigerator and there were even problems with the delivery. First the delivery was late so we needed to switch days and then they showed up 6 hours early, luckily I was home!! I received a check for $100 to replace food however the name on the check is wrong and I have not heard back with regards to getting a new check and still have not heard back. I have also taken issue with the company that $100 does not cover the cost to replace food or the fact that I went 4 weeks with no fridge and had to eat out. I am still not satisfied with the outcome or the customer service I received.

Mr. [redacted] first recommended that we call out the company once again that serviced our appliance. Then he offered a discount of a new fridge if our current refrigerator was unable to be repaired! Bottom line is we paid 700 for our fridge to be repaired and its still malufunctioning, the service company replaced and repaired all known reasons for our issue. To this day it is still unrepaired. We should not have to pay another 1400-1800 for a refrigerator that is know for this same issue and others, especially one that is less that or almost 4 years old!!. Perhaps a class action lawsuit is in order!n

Thank you for the opportunity to review this consumer’s situation. GE has spoken with Ms. [redacted]'s regarding her complaint. Please be advised that Ms. [redacted]’s microwave was over ten years old and out of warranty. As a gesture of goodwill GE offered her a $25 goodwill certificate to go towards the purchase of a new GE microwave. However, the certificate was issued for $50 in error and GE did reimburse her the $50 for her new purchase. GE will not be issuing Ms. [redacted]’s any further compensation towards a microwave that as over ten years old. I realize the dishwasher is out of warranty but surely they do not feel that the paint rusting off the door after only 4 years of normal use is acceptable or representative of the quality of their appliances, which we thought we were purchasing. This is a decent size area of rust on the front of the appliance which looks awful I'll be happy to post photos if necessary but I do not consider this case to be resolved Regards,

same exact model in stock in Hawaii. A comparable unit was agreed upon and delivered. The consumer refused the refrigerator due to the different feature package. We then offered to buy back her unit for the full price she paid. To do so she is required to cut the unplugged cord to the refrigerator and simply email us a photograph of the cut cord so that we know the unit can no longer be used. We would also need a copy of her receipt from The [redacted] so we can reimburse her and a copy of the removed serial tag from the unit. We then can send her a full refund so she can purchase another model of her liking. I’m certain The [redacted] would be more than happy to deliver the new refrigerator and haul away the defective unit for them. This is our offer and it is final.
