This issue has been fixed. I do not feel that it was repaired in a reasonable time,Even though I was compensated some it still was very inconvenient for me as a customer to be without a washer for two weeks. Had to wait three days for the mechanic then he ordered a part and it came to my resident in two days and still had to wait another week for repairs. Then they sent the mechanic at the wrong time.I had previously told them that I was not available in the mornings and they still sent the mechanic to my resident. The washer has now been repaired and is working properly. Thank You
I want to respond to their offer. The GE frig was bought April 2010. When it was delivered it, the door had to replaced. Then the Ice maker went out and has done that for three to four times since I have had it. Now the electric part of the Ice Maker is not working anymore. I thought that if something breaks three times, it is considered a defect appliance and needs to be replaced. All I am asking is that they fix it at no cost. I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.In addition to this, I am also requesting further clarity from GE for both myself and all other customers as to why they consider the damage to this item as "cosmetic." The only "cosmetic" damage on the stove is the burnt metal that happened as a result of the normal use of the flame to cook food with. They continue to insist that it is "cosmetic" and by their logic what they are also saying is that at least this model stove is defectively designed to become cosmetically damaged after normal use. Even though GE has agreed to replace the part for me, their insistence that this damage is not their fault does nothing to make me want to buy a product from them in the future or to even recommend their products to anyone else. GE has offered him a discount into a comparable model. He has not accepted the offer at this time. The offer they suggested was to give me a discount of 250$. I feel that is very inappropriate due to the fact I can buy one cheaper than their discounted rate. Considering how much damage this could have caused and loss of life which luckily didn't happen. This is a safety hazard and through no fault of my own. I feel they should have to replace this at no cost since it wasn't my fault and the aggravation this has caused me they should stand by their products. If my house had burnt down it would have cost them a lot more than to replace a fridge it's common courtesy since they know it wasn't my fault or wear and tear it was a product malfunction major

I did speak with [redacted] over the phone about trying to get this issue resolved. There was no apology 1st of all. More along the lines of every persons home is different and each person will react to the operation of the machine differently. In other words, the products they put out have no issues or flaws. I explained that its not just me or my home that is the issue. Its their lousy product and that majority of the public is not happy with the very same washing machine that I have. . Mrs. [redacted]'s only solution to fix this matter is the same one customer service offered to me. That is to have a tech come out and check to see whats going on. Regardless of that outcome, I will still have the same loud noisy washing machine. I do not feel like this is a way to resolve my concern. Why burn a customer like this? Do whats right and fix this issue.

Thank you for the opportunity to re-review this consumer's situation. Again, please be advised that Ms. [redacted]’s unit is nearly twenty-one years old and out of warranty. GE Factory Service was out to the home (Ms. [redacted]’s rental home) multiple times and diagnosed and installed parts to repair the refrigerator. The service charges are valid charges and GE will not be issuing her any reimbursement. Please contact me if there are any other questions or if I may be of further assistance.
