I have spoken with Mr*** and apologized for the trouble he's had with this GE appliance
I have agreed to waive a home call fee to have this re-addressed and also agreed to honor a 50% discount on any parts or labor
necessary to repair the appliance. I also provided the contact number for *** *** where any claims related to personal or property damage would be addressed
Mr*** accepted this as a fair resolution

I have not spoken with the retailer to see if his offer is still validI at this time would like to return the unit and buy a new machine somewhere else

Thank you for the opportunity to review this consumer's situation. I have spoken with Ms*** and apologized for the trouble she's had with her refrigerator. I explained that our warranty is for repair and noticed that a technician was returning to her home today. If the unit
is deemed non-repairable by the technician and TAG team, (noted in her CR incident), we can exchange it under the warranty If it is repairable, we need to continue with repair but also extended an offer of an additional year warranty for her inconveniences Please contact me if you have any further questions or concerns. I am writing this response on behalf of GE Appliances and have assumed the responsibility of this case given the animosity this consumer has with Mr***. GE has had experience with Mr*** as he previously owned a GE washer and dryer that GE agreed to buy back. Mr*** then
purchased other brands of washers and dryers which were apparently returned to those manufactures. Mr*** purchased another GE washer and dryer which is the subject of this complaintGE has gone above and beyond to resolve his issues but it appears that we will never be able to provide a product to Mr*** satisfaction. *** *** offered to buyback both appliances for what Mr*** paid for them (approx$1600) with the additional agreement that he or his wife do not buy another GE washer and dryer. The other option is for Mr*** to keep the units he has and if service is needed have them repaired by a GE authorized servicer per the warranty I left the consumer a voice mail yesterday but to date have not heard back from him. The buyback offer is valid through Friday 1/and I would encourage Mr*** to accept this offer. *** ***GE Program Manager
