Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint entirely. Because GE is trying to cover up defective/inferior metal used in the racks and knowingly they 'had' to respond to you.  Ms. [redacted] said, "their engineer / tech's baked in the "same" model that I have and did not have any problems".   I asked Ms. [redacted] to come and remove my unit, bring it to their facility and bake in it and they will see the cakes bake uneven.  Ms. [redacted] said, no they would not do that.  Either they lied to cover the fact that GE used inferior metal in that particular model or they used different racks to do their baking.   As you can see by the photos, the cakes are uneven because the racks cannot hold the weight of the cakes properly. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I needed to choose this response, because after speaking with Ms. [redacted], who agreed to send out a technician this Wednesday, I also needed to 'bake' a cake which I am enclosing photos showing the unevenness that the GE racks cause in baking cakes.  GE states their racks can hold up to 25lbs. Two empty cake dishes are 5.1oz, well under the weight GE states that can be used in there.  In addition, I placed a cookie sheet under the cake battered dishes on the rack, and you can see 1), the level of the cake batter is near normal and 2), there is a space under the "straight" cookie sheet showing the "downward" bow of the GE racks.  GE used inferior metal in making these racks.  Their technician, on his last visit, said, "These racks should not bend". GE is using false advertising in the facts that you cannot "properly" bake cakes in this unit.  The cakes come out lopsided.  This is bordering Consumer Fraud.GE did NOT stipulate in its advertising that "IF" you tried to bake a cake it would come out lopsided.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I have an endorsement under my home policy to cover for equipment breakdown.  I had filed a claim with my insurance company. Yesterday they informed me that my claim is denied due to your technician, [redacted] who was talking directly to my insurance adjuster that this was only a coolant leakage in the coil and nothing mechanical.  This is the same technician who replaced the exact same parts in 2013 which are failing now again.  If it is truly just a coil leakage issue, I have 2 concerns: 1) why is he recommending a replacement of multiple parts including the coil, sealant system line, valve, compressor etc.  why did he recommend replacing all of these parts again? and  2) this same technician replaced the same parts in 2013, he why would they fail again if there is nothing "mechanically" wrong (his words to my adjuster) ? If it is not mechanical failure as he suggested, then I have to question whether or not he has actually fixed the underlying issue in 2013?   He diagnosed the symptoms i.e., freezer not cooling, so he concludes that all these parts need to be changed? Also I must ask this:  only the freezer part of the fridge is not cooling both times.  The fridge side is in perfect working condition cons[redacted]t at 37 degrees. If it is only a leak, wouldn't both sides of the fridge not cooling?  Even if it's a slow leak as he claimed, why would the freezer temperature even now go up and down from 0 to 37? Shouldn't I see a temperature steadily rise?  I don't think he can draw a conclusive determination as to what's wrong is the reason he recommends replacement of all the parts again.  If that's the case , he shouldn't offer his advice to my insurance company.  It's bad enough I am stuck with the cost of having to replace this expensive refrigerator, I feel that GE thru this technician is trying to make me lose out on coverage I rightfully should have when it's a mechanical failure which this is the case (something is causing the parts to break over and over again!). I would really like someone from GE to respond to my insurance adjusted's questions.  I have provided your number. Thanks for your help.

GE service contacted the wrong number, and then arrived in the last 5 minutes of the 4 hour service window. Repair has not been completed, and is being rescheduled. Once repair is complete, we will close the complaint.
