While I'm happy my refrigerator was finally repaired I'm not happy that the only way they would honor the warranty, or even respond to my concerns, was to file a complaint. Prior to the complaint I was told that parts were covered as a favor but I'd have to pay for labor, a two person job, starting at around $470,. I tried to reach my two multiple times and continued to be told I would hear back in 24 hours. I could only get to the first tier after the first call. I kept asking them to cover labor, and continually was told no, and that my only real option was to buy another refrigerator at a reduced cost. THIS WAS the replacement refrigerator that I bought at a reduced cost To replace my monogram that kept failing. I was told that I could request a review, which I did. their response was that I could pay for labor but it was going to be expensive and they suggested buying a replacement. I asked for a second review. Same response. They just wanted me to buy a new refrigerator. They only admitted it was under warranty once I filed a complaint.. how many customers are they denying coverage to and then pushing them into buying replacements so that they don't have to honor the warranty. Did they really think I wanted to buy my third refrigerator in six years. I pointed out that if they were telling me my only logical option was to buy a replacement I asked them why that wasn't what they were doing for me. I was spoken to in a less than apologetic way. and when I pointed out how many people had their hands on this that could have admitted that this was covered in full, posts and labor, by the warranty, all they could say was that this was a learning experience. I don't think it is likely that, at a minimum six people, honestly made a mistake in knowing what was covered, particularly after two reviews. The only upside of this experience was that the technicians were pleasant, respectful and professional.

Even though Sherman's replaced my washer, GE did NOTHING to help resolve my issue. I'm not sure how this works from here as far as making GE accountable for the terrible customer service. I just want someone to know that they did nothing to help my situation!

I have been contacted by [redacted] in Consumer Relations and she refuses to process a buy back on the dryer. I never received a call from the supervisor as promised within 24-48 hours. I called back and was told there was never a request that was put in to have a supervisor call me back and consumer relations refused to escalate my call upon request several times. The above response provided from GE in this complaint says that the consumer relations has agreed to do a buy back on both appliances and is untrue. I was advised by [redacted] the only recourse I have is to contact the legal department.

Replacement fridge that was provided appeared damaged as well, both replacement and original fridge were returned to GE. I have since purchased a new fridge. Receipt for new fridge was faxed to GE and I did ask for full reimbursement. Still pending response

It is still an unsatisfactory resolution. The attitude and indifference shows that GE does not value their customers or their customers time. One is at the "mercy" of GE service calls and if they had taken action to resolve the dishwasher service calls earlier than the 6 weeks of service calls then so much vacation time would have not been necessary. They showed no remorse or empathy for having to take so much time off of work, including the fact that there was a complete no call/no show, and that on my day off I had to sit around because they could not even locate their service tech who was 2 ½ hours later. If they could replace the appliance after 7 service calls, they could have replaced it after 2. I had planned on purchasing a gas range as well as a refrigerator, but no longer have faith in GE products, their customer service, their confidence in their products, or their attitude about their customers. I will explain my experience to all of my friends, family, and coworkers, as well as posting it on social media sites and customer focused websites. I will also be filing a complaint with the Ohio Attorney General's office.
