Thank you for the opportunity to review this consumer’s situation. I spoke with *** *** today 9/5/17. I offered to exchange his over the range microwave at a reduced price of $156.30. He declined my offer. Per out technician his issue resulted in leaving the metal
rack in when not in use. The use and care manual clearly states that it must be removed when not in use. I also offered to send another technician out to look at his frontload washer and waive the home call fee. We didn’t however feel the technician would find anything mechanically wrong. I explained that there will be some vibration depending on the load size. There is nothing more that GE can offer. Please contact me if there are any other questions or if I may be of further assistance. *** ***
Our consumer relations dept has agreed to buyback both the washer and dryer

I don't unders***d why GE
won't s*d behind their product and repair my fridge at cost, and not all the parts and labor markups they are wanting to charge me The SAME parts didn't fail once but TWICE over a year period It's hard not to come to the conclusion that the original as well as the replaced parts were inferior I already paid $8k + for this in and now only after a little over years, I have to pay an additional $for another fridge If this is the best they can do, I will think about the offer It creates a very bad image for the company When one shops for appliances, brand loyalty is impor***t We have only GE Appliances in our kitchen What a way to treat loyal customers If they can't do anything else, I asked that they give me until end of the month to come up with this large sum of money given that the holidays are around the corner They only granted me until 11/ Not sure what difference a week will make to them As consumers, we are powerless

As of 10/17/16, I still have not received any partsI sit here still without a usable oven as I have for the past two months

correspondence I received from GE, as you can see it has empty fields with no information I forwarded this to a woman named *** who inadvertently seems to have sent me an internal email telling someone to assist me, no response on that either. A message was left today from a *** stating she would be there a half hour more, I was ironically at the laundromatThey have not requested THE ONLY repair person they have here on Hawaii Island to perform the repairIt is now a month since having my washer broken

For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.The reason for the rejection is very simple, GE never told me there was an expiration date on this purchaseYes, I acknowledge that I was slow to make the purchase but I have a good reason for that, I am unemployed without income as my unemployment benefits have long ago expiredAnd I specifically told GE I was unemployedWhatever happened to good customer service? GE was not pleasant to me on the phone and as stated previously, they never mentioned anything about an expiration date for this purchaseIf I had had one, I would have been forced to make the purchaseGE just turned their back on meAnd as stated in my original letter to the Revdex.com, if GE is not able to satisfy my request, I will never buy another GE product and my kitchen is full of themGE's customer service is deplorable and the customer should always be given the benefit of the doubt.The microwave I had that blew up has a history of this problem happening and if GE wants to wash their hands of that as well, it is not acceptableTelling the customer the microwave just needs replacing when there is a real design flaw says a lot about how GE conducts business

[RE: Complaint #***I received a phone call today from Mr*** *** of GE Appliances. He claimed that the melting streak down the oven glass door is not a manufacturing defect. I informed him that the GE repair technician did not even touch the oven door, nor look at the inside of the glass door to determine the cause for the melting which we believe to be a defective part melting down. Mr*** was totally closed minded and kept repeating his position on this matter and would not consider the possibility that he could be wrong. This problem surfaced on a barely one month old new oven costing us over $2000. I believe that GE should have a repair specialist open and look inside the door for the cause of the melting streak.]Regards,
